Piper's POV

December 19: Six days until the meeting at Olympus.

"Jason, wake up! Wakey wakey!" I screamed into his ear. He mumbles and rolls over, trapping my legs under his body. "Jason, wake up! Get off! GAH!" I shove hard with my legs and he falls off the bed, landing with thump. He sits straight up, looking around, then relaxes.

"Hey, Pipes, I was thinking—"

"Uh oh." He glares at me. "I was thinking that maybe, if you're nice, we could go on a date. Just the two of us. We haven't done that since before Justin was born." I tackled him in a hug. He's right. Since Justin was born, we had to take him everywhere, just in case we had to skedaddle and he was at the babysitters. But now, we can trust our friends to watch him.

"That would be great!"

"Okay, then let's get in the shower, cause we can leave ASAP!" After a quick shower and getting dressed, we go downstairs.

"You look fancy." Annabeth comments from her seat at the counter.

"We're going on a date, could you watch Justin?"

"Sure thing, have fun!" I put on my winter coat and Jason does the same, then we head out. First we go to a small, locally owned restaurant that has the best bagels I've ever tasted. After that, we went out to a small store called Knick-Knacks. It had some really cool stuff, like decorative plates and little statues. We got some paintings for the living and dining room, then we went to Target and got a few more dish sets-because we've ran out multiple times—some cooking supplies, and a few bags of candy. Jason bought a bandanna and made me put it on, and he drove me to this really romantic spot, a metal bridge over a river, and the sun wasn't setting, but if it was, it would have looked really cool. He kissed me, and said somethings that are really, really private—but they made me love him all the more. Then we went back home and showed everyone the stuff we got. Jason and I went into the kitchen and I made some cookies. He was my 'Taste tester,' which meant he made me give him a bite of the dough. Then everyone flocked to the smell of cookies, and I served them with milk.

It was a really great day, though I know why Jason did it.

Our days together might be numbered.
