I walked in only to see Leo and a girl run to each other and hug. They kissed, and walked into the gymnasium hand in hand. Oh, yeah. For once, Leo has a date, and of course, Annabeth and I aren't speaking for the time being. I honestly, deep down, don't think Annabeth would do something like that. Then Annabeth grabbed my hand, and I looked at her great fully only to see her dragging me into the gym to the DJ stand. She pushed the guy at the lap top out of the way and slid in a flash drive. A scene popped up on the wall, displayed by a projector so everybody could see. Everybody turned their heads to the screen.

There I saw it, just as it had happened, Annabeth making out with Joe. But then, after I was gone, they broke away. Joe looked around the corner. And then grinned and gave Annabeth a thumbs up. Annabeth looked at the camera, and I saw it wasn't Annabeth. It was CAREY. Gasps. And then, another thing popped up. There was her, crying in the hallway at the same time.

My mouth fell open, and the spot light turned onto us. Everybody gasped, and I grinned and looked at Annabeth. And then I flung my arms around her and kissed her. A good, long, proper kiss. The crowd said "AWWW" like in the movies and then the DJ shoved us out of the way, and Jason and I met up. We jumped on the stage and told the DJ to hit it. The principle had asked me and Jason to sing at the school dance to our girlfriends.

Classic began playing. I grinned.

I offered Annabeth my hand, and she took it and hopped on stage. I noticed Jason was doing the same thing with Piper. I looked At Annabeth and began to sing.

We sang out the rest of the song looking at our girlfriends.

"Woohoo!" The crowd cheered. At the end I grinned, and made a few announcements.

"What you just saw, was Carey Simpson trying to ruin my love life," I announce. "But you won't get in between me and my amazing girlfriend. Because she's so classic. And I can already tell, even though the dance just started, it's gonna be one hell of a night!" Cheers. We all jumped off the stage, and Timber started playing.

I grabbed Annabeth's hand and we danced. Then guess who showed up? Take a guess?

"You thought that was me?" She asked. "You're wrong."

"I thought you were nice? I was wrong." I said, and then I grabbed Annabeth's hand and we left for the snack table.

"I didn't know you could sing," Annabeth smiled.

"Oh," I say, sort've embarrassed. "Uh, yeah, a little."

Annabeth grabbed my shirt and put her lips on mine. I must've been surprised, because I didn't kiss her back, and my eyes were opened. So, I don't know. We got some Airhead Extremes and ate the little strips of goodness before grabbing a coke to share and leaving for the gymnasium again. Inside we saw Leo making out with Kelsey in the back corner. Annabeth and I danced away. The lights flashed, and the DJ did a great job of choosing the top 40 songs. We danced, although the paper said 12:00 am, the dance jammed on till 1:30 am, and I was loving every minute. The kisses, dances, songs, and talks. Especially the pizza. Finally the principal shooed us all out, and we piled into the limo.

I felt amazhang, but Annabeth looked worried.

"What?" I finally asked, half way to the apartment.

"she won't stop." Annabeth sighed. I frowned.

"What?" I asked. "Surely she-"

"Percy. The year isn't over. She won't stop there. We need to trust each other. Swear it on the river Styx." Annabeth said.

"I swear I trust you on the River Styx. She won't get between us." I reply. Thunder rumbles.

"I swear I trust you, and we can't let her get between us. I swear it on the Styx." She replied. I put my arm around her, and she snuggles up into my chest. I smile, because in a few minutes she's asleep.

I look up to see Jason and Piper taking up a whole row, as Piper is laying down sound asleep, her head in Jason's lap. Leo apparently had just noticed the same thing, because I could tell he was on the verge of laughing.

I look at Annabeth.

"I love you," I whisper in her ear. And even though I could tell she was asleep, I could see she smiled in her sleep, as though she actually had heard it.

Soon enough, Argus dropped us off at our penthouse.

I gave Annabeth a kiss before leaving for my room. I changed and crawled under my covers. As soon as my head hit the pillow I was out like a light.
