Wedding - 4 (SPECIAL)

"Are you ok?" Arthit's concerned gaze set on his husband who stood beside him.

"Do you want to sit? Are you feeling nauseous? Do you want-"

"P'Arthit," Kongpob turned to face his husband. The innocent concern in those hazel orbs made him chuckle.

"Relax, will you?" The younger reached out to caress the other's cheek. Dabbing his finger over the soft expanse.

"I'm completely fine, why are you panicking?"

Arthit pouted, he held Kongpob's hand that cupped his cheek. Placing a tender kiss over the back of the palm he sighed.

"But you look tired. You sighed a lot in the past ten minutes."

Kongpob bit his lips, stopping himself from smiling at how observant Arthit was for him.

"It's nothing, P'Arthit. I'm just feeling a little tired and still nauseous," The younger caressed the other's back when he noticed his eyes widen.

He had excused himself in the middle for the celebration when he started to feel the need to throw up, when he came back, tired from it he found Arthit waiting for him concerned outside the house, between the celebration that was going on.

"Don't be worried, the doctor said it's common. I'm fine, P'Arthit Kharp."

Arthit held their gaze for a minute before he let out a sigh. He leaned in to place a soft kiss on his husband's forehead before he wrapped his arms around the latter's waist. Pulling him closer.

He was just worried for his husband. Ever since Kongpob had told him two weeks ago that they were going to be parents, Arthit had seen how tired Kongpob got as days passed. Even waking up from sleep to vomit. He had talked to Neen about it and his sister-in-law was positive that nothing was wrong with Kongpob and that it was very normal.

"Hey, anniversary couple! Why are you hiding at the side?"

Kongpob giggled at Aran's remark. He signalled his brother-in-law that they'll be coming soon. Turning to his husband he nudged him to walk.

"Quit worrying dear husband, if you're being like this now what will you do when I deliver our baby?"

Arthit pouted and Kongpob didn't waste his chance in kissing that pout away. Making his husband's cheeks flush read when their family members cleared their throats.

It's their 2nd anniversary today and Kongpob and Arthit had waited for this moment, to tell everyone about the happy news. Announcing the arrival of the new member into the family.

Their anniversary being a celebration every year, even Kongpob's family was there along with Arthit's friends and other close family members, including Chai.

As the couple took their seats at the table, their family and friends surrounded them. The table was large enough to have Arthit's friends and their families seated.

Kongpob gave a teasing smile to his brother who sat beside his fiance, Yong, smiling and giggling. When Nai felt Kongpob's gaze on him he blushed, hanging his head down and scratching the back of his neck.

Kongpob chuckled. He was happy for Nai, he was extremely delighted knowing now Nai had someone to be with him. Two months ago Nai got engaged to Yong, their wedding would take place in six months and Kongpob was extremely excited.

It surprised him when Yong, Arthit's friend, came up to him one day with his husband after work. His husband had a smirk on his face when he told him that Yong had to speak about something to him.

Kongpob listened to a nervous Yong who confessed to him that he fell in love with Nai. And that he wanted to marry him and put out a proposal between the families. Yong had met with Nai on various occasions whenever the younger would attend functions at Rojnapath's household. There was once when Arthit's friends had accompanied Kongpob and Arthit to Chiang Mai, for a small vacation, Yong and Nai had grown closer back then.

It seemed that Nai was nervous to tell about it to Kongpob so Yong took it on himself to come forward with the proposal.

Kongpob was shaken from his thoughts when Arthit nudged him. Signalling with a small smile at the table. The younger looked around, all their family members were laughing and smiling as conversations flowed.

Love songs played in the background as all of their family members and friends were having dinner at different tables around the huge backyard of the Rojnapath house. Arthit and Kongpob had cut their cakes at the beginning of the celebration, followed by each of their friends and families blessing them and wishing their bond to get stronger as years passed.

And now, as Kongpob watches everyone he can feel that it was the perfect time. To announce the happy news. He know that Arthit could feel it too, he could feel the elder's knees bouncing in excitement under the table.

"Ready?"

The younger smiled, turning to his husband he nodded his head. Kongpob watched as Arthit took out a set of brown envelopes from his pocket, counting them once again under the table, before giving his husband a thumbs up.

Arthit sat straight, clearing his throat he took his wine glass in his hand. Tapping the glass with a spoon.

"Attention please!"

Kongpob giggled as he watched their families turn their attention at Arthit in confusion. Neen gave him a sly smile to which he nodded and giggled back.

"Thank you for all your blessings and wishing everyone. And thank you for supporting both of us throughout our journey," Arthit smiled at everyone.

"So, to show how much everyone means to us. We have a small gift for everyone."

"Gifts!?"

The whole table laughed when Bright and Ryan exclaimed.

"Who is the kid here? You or Ryan?" Tootah rolled his eyes.

"There are no age limits to get excited about gifts Tootah!"

Kongpob giggled, shaking his head at the two. Ever since he had gotten close to Arthit's friends it was always thrilling to be with the group. He gets to see a different side of his husband when he's near them. It was always laughter and fun being with them.

The younger watched as his husband walked behind everyone, handing the envelope, reminding them to open it once everyone receives it. When Kongpob turned his attention to Nai, his brother raised an eyebrow at him, asking him what was going on as he pointed at the envelope. Kongpob smirked, winking at him making Nai roll his eyes.

"What is going on here?" David impatiently fumbled with the envelope in his hand, looking around the table, to see if anyone knew why his son was giving out envelopes. He know his son, Arthit wasn't the type to give thank you cards to people.

"Patience, David." Decha patted the other's shoulder, chuckling when the other gave him a betrayed look.

"Ok, everyone!" Arthit clapped his hands, receiving the attention of all the people seated at the other tables.

He pulled Kongpob up, to stand close to him as he smiled wide at their families. His hand settled on Kongpob's waist.

"I and Kong want you guys to open the envelopes in the count of three. Ok?"

"It's nothing dangerous, right?" Prem asked as he stared at the envelope in his hand sceptically.

"I don't think so, if Kong is a part of this surprise then I don't think Arthit is going to prank us." Knott pointed out making the others laugh.

"Hey!" Arthit narrowed his eyes at his friends who shrugged their shoulders.

Kongpob giggled, "So, shall we start?"

"Yes please!"

The couple shared a glance, smiling wide. "On the count of..."

"1-2 and 3!"

Arthit and Kongpob laughed as they watched the others frantically trying to open the envelopes, some groaning as they couldn't open them on the first try. Kongpob couldn't hold his laughter when he saw Ryan tear the top of the envelope, blowing on the crease to open it and take the content inside.

Almost half a minute in the whole table fell in dead silence. The other guests murmured as they tried to gather over the table, trying to find what was going on.

"What is this picture, Uncle Kong?" Ryan raised a photo in the air, confused as he waved it.

The next second Arthit almost shielded Kongpob when loud screams and gasps were heard.

"What!?"

"No!"

"Are you pregnant P'Kong!?"

"This is not true! You're not joking right!?"

"Someone explain what this black thing is!"

Tootah smacked Bright on his head, "It's an ultrasound photo, idiot!"

Kongpob smiled wide, almost tearing up as Nai run up to him, gathering him in a tight hug.

"Congratulations!" Nai sobbed into his brother's arms, smiling and sniffling as he buried his face into the other's shoulder.

Kongpob teared up in between the chaos, patting Nai's shoulder. "Thank you, Nai. You're going to be an uncle now."

When Nai pulled away he kissed on Kongpob's cheeks, excited and squealing. The next second he was in Arthit's arms, almost crushing the elder male.

"I can't hug P'Kong like this so endure it for him!"

Arthit laughed at the comment, he pulled Nai even tighter in his embrace. Patting the other's back.

"We're gonna be a grandfathers!" Decha was almost crying as David pulled him into a hug.

"Everyone! Kong is pregnant!" David shouted out loud, his eyes glassy and smile soo wide.

"We're gonna be uncles!" The four men high fived as they smiled excitedly, reaching up to their best friend they gathered him in a bone-crushing hug.

Kongpob sniffled through his smiles, circling his arms around his tummy as he nodded his head and mumbled thank you to everyone who congratulated him. When his eyes met Maya's he sobbed, running towards her, into her arms.

"Kong," Maya circled her arms around the younger, smiling as she closed her eyes. Lips trembling.

"Thank you, Kong."

"Bpâa," Kongpob sobbed. Clutching onto her. Feeling her warmth and assurance in her caresses.

Maya pulled away, cupping the younger's face as she placed a trembling kiss on his forehead."We're going to welcome our first grandchild into our family. I'm soo happy, son."

Kongpob nodded, smiling through his tears. "I'm soo happy, Bpâa. It feels like a dream."

Maya smiled caressing his hair, understanding how the younger might be feeling. "It's magical. Knowing a life is growing inside you."

"Take good care of yourself ok?" Kongpob nodded.

"Well, I'm sure we don't have to worry. Arthit will take good care of you and the baby, for sure." Maya wiggled her eyebrows teasingly making the younger male chuckle.

"He will."

Kongpob turned his attention to Decha, who was busy with David, exclaiming how excited they're to others. He couldn't help but giggle. He was sure that once all the guests have departed, Decha is going to walk up to him, gather him in his arms and cry.

"Congratulations, Arthit. I'm soo happy for you both."

Maya's words brought Kongpob's attention to his husband who walked towards him. He smiled as he watched Arthit share a hug with Maya.

"Thank you, Aunty."

Arthit stepped closer to Kongpob, wrapping his arm around his waist like a habit. His dimples in display, eyes shining as he smiled happily. Maya excused herself the next second, giving space for the couple as she walked towards Neen who was boasting that she knew everything before anyone else.

"Kong."

"Hmm?" The younger turned to face his husband, his hands resting on the other's chest. Smiling softly as he gazed into the pair of warm hazel eyes, shimmering with unshed tears.

Arthit rested his forehead on the younger's, if possible smiling wider than he was. "Thank you."

"P'Arthit-"

Kongpob closed his eyes, butterflies swarming in the pit of his stomach. Tremors crawled under his skin, tickling him as soft pair of lips captured his lower lip. Nibbling softly, a content sigh escaping their lips. Kongpob tilted his head, clutching onto his husband's neatly ironed shirt.

Arthit's hand caressed the other's back, slipping up and down as they deepened the kiss. Tongues caressing, tasting eachother. Taking in every essence of eachother, in their own world.

He softly sucked onto Kongpob's lower lip, tasting the apple juice he had minutes ago. They pulled away for air, gasping softly.

"I love you," Kongpob whispered, nudging the tip of their noses as they parted with a peck.

Arthit pulled away, pressing a kiss on the younger's forehead."I love you too, soo damn much."

"Uncle Kong! Uncle Thit!"

The two smiled, giggling as Kongpob tilted his head to look behind Arthit, to find Ryan running up to them. They pulled away, turning towards their nephew, still standing close to eachother. Shoulders touching.

"Uncle Thit!" Ryan excitedly jumped in front of Arthit. "Am I going to get a sibling!?"

Kongpob and Arthit stared at eachother, breaking into a peal of laughter at Ryan's question.

Kongpob smiled tenderly as he watched Arthit squat down in front of Ryan, gathering the boy in his arms, tickling him.

"Yes, naughty boy! You're going to be a big brother!"

"P'Arthit? P?"

Kongpob bit his lips, softly shaking Arthit. He sighed when the other just groaned in his sleep before passing out again.

"I hate you," Kongpob mumbled, pouting as he laid back down on the bed. His hands caressed his tummy under his baggy t-shirt.

The younger immediately felt guilty for what he uttered. He leaned in to kiss Arthit's cheek."No, sorry. I love you."

He glanced at the clock, it was part 11 at night but Kongpob couldn't find any sleep in his system.

"Should I go find something in the fridge?" Kongpob chewed on his lower lips. Contemplating whether he should try waking up the elder once again or get it on himself to find something to reduce his craving.

"The first option is useless anyway," Kongpob rolled his eyes. With a sigh, he got up.

"Let's go find something to fill Papa and baby's tummy." Kongpob tapped on his bulged belly. Getting up off the bed silently as he could, he didn't want to wake Arthit up even though he knows his husband might be dead to the world once sleep takes him.

Making his way out of the room he used the flashlight on his phone to get to the kitchen. He knows that no one was awake at this hour in the house but he doesn't want to risk waking anyone up. Once he successfully stepped into the kitchen he sighed in relief before turning the lights on. With a pout on his lips, he made his way towards the fridge. Opening the freezer and examining the contents inside.

"Why don't we have any ice cream!?" Kongpob almost yelled but restricted himself as he whispered it out. He whined, caressing his belly.

His eyes fell on the tray of ice, he bit his lips. Too many questions running through his mind but the only thing he wanted at the moment was ice cream. And looking at the ice tray, the ice cube was a cold eatable too, right?

"I think this will do?" Kongpob hesitantly took a piece of ice from the tray. Gulping before he placed it inside his mouth.

He sighed in content, eyes closed as he left the coldness in his mouth. Even though the ice cube didn't reach up to the level of ice cream he could adjust, he didn't want to trouble anyone though. And ice somehow calmed his craving down.

"Kong?"

Three ice cubes in Kongpob innocently looked up from the kitchen counter at his husband who walked into the kitchen. Eyes blinking in confusion as he stared at the ice in Kongpob's hand.

"Are you hurt, love?" Arthit instantly panicked. Hurrying his steps to be near his husband.

"P'Arthit I'm fine," Kongpob clutched on Arthit's arms when the elder roamed his hands over him, trying to find any kind of wound.

"Then why did you have ice with you?" All the sleepiness had vanished from Arthit as he panicked again. When he found the space near him empty while he tried to hug the person beside him he woke up in a snap. He checked the bathroom to see if the other was there but found it empty. He proceeded to check outside their room and was relaxed when he found light in the kitchen.

Arthit sighed, holding Kongpob's hand taking away the ice from his hold."Kong you can tell me if you're hur-"

"I was eating it."

"What?" Arthit blinked.

Kongpob could feel his whole face warming up, he scratched the back of his neck, "I-I was eating the ice cubes."

"What?" Arthit was beyond confused."Why?"

"Because I couldn't find any ice cream!" Kongpob pouted, staring down at his feet. Embarrassed.

Arthit gasped. It took him a few seconds to realise that his pregnant husband was having cravings.

"Oh, my love." The elder chuckled, cupping his husband's face as he brought him to look up at him.

Arthit placed a soft kiss on his forehead, "You could have told me that you were craving, love."

"I did!" Kongpob's pout widened, "I called you but you didn't wake up! I didn't want to trouble you."

Arthit mentally facepalmed, if there are chances that he hates his sleeping habit it would be when things like these happened.

Kongpob did have cravings in the five months of his pregnancy, but it wasn't common for the younger. He did have it once in a while, most of the time at noon or evening. This was the first time Kongpob got cravings in the middle of the night. And for Arthit it was thrilling.

He had read through different articles about stories about pregnant people, and one of them was the midnight cravings that the pregnant partners would compel their partners to make it up for them. And Arthit wanted to experience it too though it might be a weird expectation.

"I'm sure that I saw ice cream in the fridge last day." Arthit pecked on Kongpob's lips, apologising to him for not waking up before he made his way towards the fridge. Checking in once again.

"We have ice cream, Kong." Arthit pulled out a while box from the freezer.

"But that is vanilla." Kongpob's cheeks puffed making Arthit chuckle. "I want chocolate."

Shaking his head, the elder male placed the box back into the freezer before walking up to Kongpob and pulling him in his arms.

"What are you doing?" Kongpob blinked, confused as his husband walked both of them outside the kitchen.

"Going to bring chocolate ice cream for my husband," Arthit replied nonchalantly and the younger gasped, staring at his man with wide eyes.

"What!? It's almost midnight, P'Arthit!" Kongpob whisper yelled.

Arthit shrugged his shoulders. He took the car key from the living room cupboard and walked to their entrance door, all the while his arms secured around his husband.

Once both of them settled inside the car, Arthit smiled broadly at his husband, pecking his lips before he started the car and drove out of the Rojnapath house.

"Where are we going, P'Arthit?" Kongpob bit his lips, feeling overwhelmed that Arthit was sacrificing his sleep for him, to just fulfil his craving.

"The MC Donald's is open 24/7. Let's go there! I'm sure they'll have your favourite ice cream."

The younger smiled, feeling happiness bubble in him, butterflies fluttering under his skin, sending tingles down him. Arthit was excited just because he was going to buy Kongpob's cravings for him, and the younger couldn't help but feel soo lucky to have the elder as his husband. He was blessed to have someone who treasure him.

Kongpob reached out to intertwine their fingers, Arthit smiled, glancing at his smiling husband. Giving a squeeze to the hold Arthit continued to entertain Kongpob with his talks, telling jokes and speaking about the incidents at the office. And Kongpob watched Arthit speak with a fond smile on his face, giggling and laughing when Arthit made expressions while talking.

"Do you have ice creams?" Arthit checked the time as he asked after getting into the driveway to give his order.

"Yes, we do Khun."

Arthit glanced at Kongpob who innocently stared back at him, he winked at him before turning to place the order.

"Can I have a chocolate ice cream and chocolate sundae? And a vanilla ice cream too?"

"Sure, Khun. Your order is up."

"Thank you."

"P'Arthit," Kongpob raised his eyebrows, seeing a silly smile adorn Arthit's lips as they drove to pick up the order.

"What? I know you love chocolate. If you can't have them both we'll share." Arthit shrugged his shoulders. Kongpob chuckled, shaking his head, feeling a flutter inside him.

A tender smile spread across Arthit's lips as his husband giggled as he handed over the set of ice creams to the younger. They parked the car at the parking lot, rolled down the car windows and let the cold breeze of the night brush through their faces.

Arthit watched with utmost affection and adoration as Kongpob had his ice creams. The look of delight and sheer happiness was worth the midnight drive. Seeing Kongpob happy and content gave him a sense of fulfilment and immense joy. Just like Arthit thought, Kongpob finished both of the chocolate delicacies within no time, the satisfied sigh that left the younger made Arthit beam.

When the both of them laid on the bed, beside eachother after the cosy midnight drive Kongpob was smiling as he snuggled his back into Arthit's embrace, the elder hugging him from the back. Hands slipped under his t-shirt, on his bulged belly. Caressing it softly. Arthit's breath fanning his nape.

"Thank you, P'Arthit," Kongpob whispered, slipping his hand on top of Arthit's that rested on his belly.

The elder male intertwined their fingers. Pressing a soft kiss on the base of the younger's neck.

"Don't, Kong. There's nothing to thank about, we're in this together. Remember?"

Kongpob closed his eyes, content and happy as he nodded his head. Feeling Arthit's soft caresses on his belly, soft humming in his ears, Kongpob knew he was safe. He had always been safe in Arthit's presence. This was his home. Arthit is his home.

"Heartbeat is regular and the baby is perfectly fine."

Kongpob let out a sigh of relief hearing his doctor. He glanced at Arthit who stood beside him, the elder gave him an assuring smile.

"Don't worry about her movements, she's just having a good sleep." The doctor smiled warmly at his patient as he moved the probe on the younger's belly.

Kongpob nodded his head, smiling. His eyes fixed on the screen beside him, where he could see the life that was growing inside him. "Thank you, Dr Kit."

"Maybe she's just collecting all her energy for next month." Dr Kit gave a teasing smile making the soon-to-be parents chuckle.

Once the probe was removed and the gell was cleaned off Arthit helped Kongpob up. His heavily pregnant husband groaned softly as he was helped to stand. Arthit caressed the younger's hair, kissing his forehead before they walked into the doctor's room.

When they were seated in the room the couple watched Dr Kit check through Kongpob's reports.

"There is nothing else to worry about. Kongpob is perfectly fine, his sugar and blood pressure is normal. Be extra careful from now on, I don't have to repeat what I told you last time. Right?"

"No doctor, we'll be careful." Arthit immediately answered making the doctor smile.

"Ok. Be alert, the delivery doesn't need to be on the date I had given. It might be early so beware of that. And you might experience Braxton hicks soon. "

The couple listened attentively to the doctor even though they had been previously warned about it during the last checkup. Kit wished them good luck and asked them to not get tensed.

When they stepped out of the doctor's room Arthit glanced at his husband who had relief washed over him. He smiled softly at the younger.

"Are you ok, love?"

Kongpob looked up, nodding his head, mirroring the other. "I'm fine. I guess I overreacted."

Arthit shook his head, his hand slipped behind the younger's back on habit. Pulling him close as they walked.

"You didn't. You behaved as any other parent would. Even I panicked, she isn't the one to stay calm and you know that too, Kong. Can't blame you."

Kongpob chuckled, his hand making its way on his belly, caressing over it.

"You almost scared us there princess," Arthit placed his hand over Kongpob's belly.

When Kongpob was 21 weeks pregnant they got to know the gender of their baby. It was something they wanted to be of a surprise. So Neen had arranged a small baby shower, just close friends and family. It was all about gathering memories. Arthit and Kongpob were given large gender reveal balloons, they had to pop it to find which colour was inside, pink or blue.

Even though none of them minded if it was a boy or girl, the gender reveal moment was filled with excitement and anticipation. Girl or boy, they would accept it with a whole heart. No matter what the baby was precious to them.

On the count of 3 when Neen asked the couple to pop the balloon everyone was on their toes with excitement. When the air filled with pink confetti and balloons Kongpob and Arthit were more than excited, letting their tears of joy soak their faces. They were going to be parents of their baby girl, their little princess.

Ever since their baby started moving by the 22nd week, there hadn't been a day she hadn't kicked or caused movements inside Kongpob's belly. So it panicked him when there hadn't been any movement inside him for two days.

Even though her kicks were headaches for Kongpob as he might not even be able to sleep at night because of their baby girl's movements, letting him give chances again to throw up his meals. Addition to giving him backaches, despite all of these, even an hour without the slightest movements of their princess always made Kongpob yearn for it.

The baby's movements were assurances for him, assurance that he was really carrying a life inside him and that they are really going to be parents soon. The relief that washed over Kongpob the moment he heard the rhythmic heartbeat of their growing child, a breath that he didn't he was holding was released. The assurance from the doctor was a calming wash of breeze over him.

"What did Dr Kit say? How is the baby?" David jumped up from where he was seated on the couch, eyes filled with worry as he spotted Arthit and Kongpob step inside.

David immediately reached his son-in-law's other side. Held him over his shoulder as he helped him to walk. Arthit and David let Kongpob sit on the sofa after placing enough cushions for the younger to be comfortable.

Kongpob groaned, closing his eyes, his legs were killing him. A small trip to the hospital did that to him.

"Oh!" A gasp left the younger male when he felt his legs were shifted before it rested back down somewhere.

When he opened his eyes he found his husband placing his feet above the pillow that laid on the elder's lap. The next second Kongpob closed his eyes in satisfaction- almost letting a moan if he wasn't aware that his father-in-law was standing just beside him- as his legs were being massaged by strong hands.

"Feeling good?" Arthit smiled, watching Kongpob relax under his touch.

"Hmm..." Kongpob could only nod his head and hum.

David watched the interaction with a proud smile on his lips, he glanced at Neen and Aran who stood in the dining room, watching the couple with fond smiles on their faces.

David walked over to sit opposite to Arthit, watching the interaction. By how Arthit and Kongpob were behaving he understood that the baby was completely fine. But he wanted to hear it from either of them, just for his own sake.

"Don't worry, Pa. Your granddaughter is perfectly fine." Kongpob turned to face his father-in-law, smiling wide at him.

"She's just sleeping."

Kongpob and Arthit chuckled when a series of relieved sighs were let out.

"Naughty girl, she scared us." David laid a hand on his chest, rolling his eyes.

"I guess she got her Dad's genes," Aran walked over to the living room, Neen chuckling beside him.

"P'Aran!" Arthit shot a glare at his brother who shrugged his shoulders.

Neen laughed, taking her seat on the couch beside Kongpob. "P'Aran is right, isn't he 1 Kong?"

Kongpob glanced at Arthit who furrowed his eyebrows at him, the elder's hands still on his feet, massaging them. It's not an unknown fact for all of them that Arthit loves his sleep. If given the chance he wouldn't leave the bed for a whole week.

"Well, it's a fact. I'm sorry P'Arthit." Kongpob smiled slyly, wiggling his eyebrows.

"Kong!"

"See I told you!"

"Stop it you two," David pointed at his two sons. "You both will ruin my son's ears."

Kongpob giggled when the two brothers gave an apologetic nod to their father.

David chuckled at their antics. He turned towards his son-in-law, "By the way, Kong. Decha called me, they'll be arriving by early morning tomorrow."

The smile that spread across Kongpob's face, made all of them smile.

"Thank you, Pa!"

David shook his head, "My son told me that he misses his family, how could I sit still?"

The younger's eyes watered, he nodded his head, smiling wide. A week ago when David accompanied him for his walk in their garden, since everyone else was at the office, they talked and talked, and reached the topic of Kongpob's stay in Chiang Mai. David had noticed how Kongpob's face fell and how the younger's charcoal eyes filled with longing. He had asked if something was wrong and Kongpob absent-mindedly voiced out that he missed his brother, Lung and Bpâa.

The last time Kongpob had met them was at the gender reveal party. They had only stayed for three days. And as Kongpob was getting close to his delivery date he started missing them. He didn't want to talk about it since he knows his Lung might be busy with business and Nai already got married to Yong, they were staying in Chiang Mai with Decha and Maya since Yong's family business had a branch over there, in the city, and he had to manage a project that started at the place. Yong wanted him and Nai to stay at the younger's house even though the journey to his office was at long distance from there. And Kongpob didn't want to bother any of them.

But here his father-in-law had seen through him, his yearnings, talked to Arthit about it who immediately planned for their arrival. Arthit knew that Kongpob misses his family but each time he tried to talk to his husband about it Kongpob brushes it off, he had been planning to bring the younger's family once Kongpob enters the last month. But coincidentally David brought up the talk, and they decided to bring them over to the Rojnapath house.

When Arthit told Kongpob about it a few days ago the younger was ecstatic. Kongpob had thanked the elder countless times, expressing his excitement. Kongpob had almost forgotten about it since he had been in panic mode for a few days with their baby's unusual silence and inactiveness inside his belly.

"Save all your energy for tomorrow, have some rest, son." David smiled warmly at the younger. He stood up, walked towards him and patted his head before he walked away to the study room exclaiming he had to do lots of work making others chuckle.

"Take rest, Kong. The little one inside made you panic a lot." Neen gave an assuring pat to the younger. She eyed Arthit who nodded his head with a smile.

Arthit stood up from the couch, immediately turning to Kongpob and bringing him up in his arms. The younger's face flushed red as he wounded his arms around the elder's neck as he was being carried to their bedroom downstairs. After the third trimester had begun Kongpob and Arthit shifted their room downstairs, turning one of the guest rooms into their bedroom.

Arthit smiled cheekily at the younger, pressing a kiss on his soft lips. Kongpob giggled, loving the feeling of being held in the elder's arms. Even though he would love to be held in his husband's arms the moment his back touched the soft mattress he let out a satisfied sigh making the elder chuckle.

"Take a nap, love." Arthit sat at the side of the bed, caressing the younger's forehead, smiling warmly. He knows that the younger might be tired, it's past 2 in the afternoon, already past Kongpob's usual nap schedule.

"Are you leaving?" The younger pouted, reaching out to hold Arthit's hand.

Arthit shook his head, leaning over to capture the younger's lips. Nibbling onto his lower lip, soft and slow. Kongpob relaxed into the kiss, his hand slipped up the elder's neck, up to his cheek. His thumb dabbing on the soft skin. The simple assurance from the elder made him feel at ease.

It wasn't an easy journey, it was hard. Sleepless nights, endless vomiting and discomfort. The feeling of not being able to enjoy things you once did, sometimes not even being able to eat the food that you like because a single drop of the delicious taste on his mouth made him throw up. It was frustrating sometimes.

But he never doubted their decision. He never doubted the life inside him. He felt blessed, feeling a special glow within him realising that he was the one protecting and nurturing a life inside him for the 10-month journey. He and Arthit were preparing themselves for the new step they were going to take.

"Sleep, Kong. I'm here." Arthit slipped under the covers, snuggling closer. Letting the younger lean most of his weight over him.

Arthit's slender fingers slipped over Kongpob's exposed belly, he caressed and laid feather-light touches over it. Massaging Kongpob's sides. His lips trailed soft kisses on the younger's face, the discomfort Kongpob was feeling slowly reducing a level down.

The younger sighed contently. Finally being able to rest. Now that he knows his baby girl was perfectly fine inside him he is going to take as much nap as he could before the little one inside starts exercising inside him.

"I love you," Arthit whispered. Smiling when Kongpob snuggled closer as much as possible.

"And I love you too, baby girl." Arthit caressed Kongpob's belly.

A second later a soft movement was felt against Arthit's hand. He looked up at Kongpob who had his eyes closed, a pout immediately finding its way on his lips.

"Daddy's girl she is." Kongpob shrugged his shoulders, he had already accepted that fact. Their baby girl would always react to Arthit's voice. But the past two days it seemed as if their little one was sulking and didn't want to respond to any sensation which made both the parents worried. They didn't want to overthink so they waited for two days before they booked an appointment with the doctor.

Now it seems like their little girl was satisfied seeing her parents panic over her and was now ready to move out of her 'no response' strike.

"You naughty one." Arthit leaned over to kiss Kongpob's belly making the younger giggle.

Kongpob groaned. Stirring from his sleepy dazed mind. He caressed over his belly, trying to calm the little one inside. A whimper left his lips as pain shot through him, for the third time, like a contraction. The younger breathed heavily feeling a tingle in his lower abdomen as if he had to use the bathroom as soon as possible.

And that he did. Kongpob slowly sat up on the bed, his hand clutched onto the nightstand for support. He glanced at Arthit who was sleeping soundly beside him.

The younger yelped the next second, feeling a strong kick inside him. "That's a little too much, baby."

He slowly stood up, making his way to use the bathroom. Once he was done he walked back towards the bed, he felt relaxed for a moment but something didn't sit well with him. There was this constant pain in his lower back. His thoughts went haywire. Kongpob gulped, he sat on the bed, clutching onto his belly, closing his eyes as he mumbled white noises, trying to calm their baby girl.

"Ah," Kongpob's face scrunched in pain. Feeling the contraction hit him. It was uncomfortable, but he simply brushed it off, thinking it'll pass soon just like those false labour contractions he had been experiencing for a week.

He tried to lay back down but he just couldn't, the contraction was painful. So he tried to calculate the time the contractions came and went.

He waited for almost 10 minutes before another contraction hit him. The baby being extremely restless. Kongpob suddenly felt as if his belly was tightening, but the tightening seems to spread to his lower back and that hasn't happened before.

Kongpob tried to wait for another 10 minutes, to make sure he wasn't overthinking. And when the next contraction hit him he felt as if he couldn't move or speak, feeling a lump in his throat as he closed his eyes tight, the painful wave almost taking his breath away.

He counted back from 100, trying to calm himself. The contraction left when it reached 48. A sigh of relief felt him when the pain subsided but he was still feeling uncomfortable.

Kongpob slowly turned around, reached out to hold Arthit's hand that laid on the elder's chest.

"P-P'Arthit," Kongpob cleared his throat, his voice almost came out like a whisper.

He squeezed Arthit's land, shaking him with all the strength he had. "P'Arthit, wake up please."

Kongpob let out a sigh when he saw his husband groan his sleep, fluttering his eyes open as the younger kept shaking him.

"P, wake up."

Arthit blinked, opening his eyes. His sleep hazed mind absent-mindedly turned to the side his husband laid.

"What happened Kong?" Arthit's husky voice greeted the younger.

"P-P'Arthit, I think it-it's time."

As if a bucket of cold water was poured on the elder male, Arthit sat up. Almost feeling the world spin with his quick movement. His eyes widened when his vision landed on Kongpob who was clutching his belly, biting his lips, pain evident on his face.

They were supposed to leave to the hospital next week according to the delivery date given. Even though Dr Kit had warned them about this, being in the situation was different.

"What?"

Kongpob could only nod his head. Eyes whelming up.

"Oh no!" Arthit stood up, rushing over to Kongpob's side. He knelt in front of him, taking his hand in his.

"Wait here, I'll call P'Aran, we'll get you to the car. Ok? I'll take the hospital bag too."

Kongpob gave a tight smile, nodding his head. He watched Arthit unlock their bedroom door, keeping it wide open as he ran out. The younger clutched the bedsheet, his lower back was killing him, the pain in his lower abdomen came in at times.

"P'Neen! P'Aran!" Arthit banged on the door, trying to wake the two up. It's past 3 in the morning but he had no other choice than to disturb them.

They themselves had advised him to call if something happens like today. Not to mention that Decha and Maya were also at the house, they planned to stay over until Kongpob gave birth, he will ask Aran to inform them, he doesn't have time for that.

Arthit only had to wait for a minute before the door opened wide, Aran had his hand on his face, trying to wipe off the sleepiness. Neen standing behind him.

"What happened Arthit?"

"Kong, he-" before Arthit could finish his words Neen ran past him, towards the younger's bedroom.

"Hey, what happened?" Aran caught Arthit's hand in his, he could see that his brother was panicking.

Arthit gulped, clutching onto the hospital bag he had taken from upstairs before he knocked on the door to wake the elder up."K-Kong told it's time."

Aran's eyes widened, "You get the car ready, I'll wake Pa up and ask him to look over Ryan. We'll go to the hospital, ok? Don't worry."

Arthit nodded his head, he watched Aran jog towards David's room. Taking a deep breath he proceeded to take the car key and made his way outside the house.

Kongpob clutched onto Neen's hand, closing his eyes tight as his other hand held his belly.

"It's ok, we'll get you to the hospital. Can you stand up, Kong?" Neen caressed the younger's back.

Kongpob nodded his head, not trusting his voice at the moment.

Neen could understand how the younger might be feeling at the moment. She gave him time to prepare himself before he stood up, the way Kongpob's hold tightened on her hand made her aware that the younger was about to stand.

"Slowly, there's no rush. Take your time," Neen whispered softly. Smiling encouragingly at the younger.

Kongpob took a deep breath, he could feel Neen's hold on his waist. Supporting him. Letting out a deep sigh he slowly stood up. A painful groan left his lips as the contraction hit him the second he stood up.

"It's ok-It's ok," Neen rubbed the younger's back. She waited for Kongpob to gather himself, giving time for the contraction to fade away. She knows it's hard to make any movements when the contraction keeps coming in.

Once the contraction faded Kongpob let out a sigh. "Let's so P."

Neen nodded, her hands balancing the younger as they slowly walked out. Aran, David and Decha were already in the living room, talking hurridly about something. Once they noticed Kongpob walking out the three stepped towards them.

"I have called the hospital, they're getting everything ready. Don't panic, ok?" Aran smiled softly at the younger male.

Kongpob smiled painfully, nodding his head. Breathing through his mouth. He glanced at Decha who stared at him in concern but still smiled at him.

"Arthit went to bring the car," David informed when he noticed his son-in-law's eyes darting around the room. Just as on cue Arthit parked the car in front of the house, as close as possible for Kongpob to get in.

Maya walked out of the kitchen, with a bottle of water, concerned as she approached. She insisted the younger drink some water and Kongpob did as told, thankful that his Bpâa asked him to drink, he felt his throat relax as he took large gulps. Realising he was indeed very thirsty.

"Let's go?" Neen squeezed the younger's hand in hers.

"Hmm," Kongpob hummed. Taking deep breaths, trying to calm his emotions.

"Kong."

The younger looked up, finding his husband rush towards him. He gave a small smile as the elder's arms wrapped around his shoulder.

"Can you walk?" Arthit's concerned gaze met the younger's.

Kongpob nodded, "I-I can."

Arthit bit his lips, feeling the younger tremble in his arms. He supported his husband as they took small steps, he knows that Kongpob is in pain, he doesn't want to pressure the latter, he isn't aware of what he should be doing either.

"Wait!" Kongpob's sudden gasp made all of them freeze on their spots.

"What? What happened?" Arthit started to panic, he came in front of Kongpob, looking at their latter's wide eyes.

"I-"Kongpob gasped, closing his eyes as another contraction hit him.

"Kong, love." Arthit was ready to carry Kongpob, seeing how troubled the younger looked when he tried to even move.

"His water broke!"

Kongpob gaped, thankful that Neen voiced out what he wanted to say. He was only able to register Arthit's concerned voice asking him to not worry and that they would make it fast at the moment, his focus was on the feeling of wetness that was spreading on his legs through his sweatpants and the movements of the baby inside. He felt himself being carried in Arthit's arms, the elder carefully yet hurriedly carried him to the car. Sat beside him, held him close, whispering sweet nothings into his ears. Wiping the tears that escaped the younger's eyes as Aran took the driver's seat.

Everything went by a blink for Kongpob, it was too sudden and it was getting hard for Kongpob to register everything. The only concern he had at the moment was his contractions and their restless baby girl who was kicking inside, adding to his pain.

The hospital staffs were ready as soon as the car parked in front of the entrance. Kongpob was immediately made to lie down on a stretcher.

"P'Arthit," Kongpob whimpered, wanting his husband close to him.

"Shh-I'm here, I'm here love." Arthit clutched Kongpob's hand as the nurses wheeled the younger to the labour room as per Dr Kit's instructions. They would be monitoring him there and do the necessary procedures.

Kongpob closed his eyes, his face flushed red, eyes drooping in tiredness. The contraction had stopped but he knew it would be coming in soon. The gap between his contractions was shortening.

"Can you tell me from when you started feeling the contractions, Kongpob?"

Dr Kit enquired as he checked the younger's vitals, after making sure Kongpob was comfortable in the room.

Kongpob looked up at Arthit who nodded assuringly, the younger took a deep breath.

"I-I'm not sure. But I started feeling it late at night, it was mild at first. I thought it might be braxton. Around 3 in the morning it intensified."

Arthit gazed at the doctor in concern. Waiting for him to say something. His hands were being clutched in Kongpob's hold, the hold would tighten when the younger would feel the contractions again. Kongpob wasn't tearing up at the moment but he could see that his husband was in pain.

"You're 6cm dilated, Kongpob. Your dilation is happening pretty fast so I can give an approximate time of 3-4 hours before you will be ready to give birth." Dr Kit gave an encouraging smile to Arthit, he couldn't see Kongpob's face as the younger was lying towards the side, face almost buried into the pillow.

"Everything is perfect, the baby's position is right too. She might get a little too restless in there since she's eager to come out. The pain will be there. If it's too unbearable for Kongpob we'll look into that too."

Dr Kit patted Arthit's shoulder, "The waiting starts now."

Arthit gulped, he looked up at Aran and Neen who stood at the corner of the room. They gave him a small smile, enough to assure him that everything will be alright.

He wasn't there when Neen was giving birth as he was studying out of the country at that time. So he isn't much aware of what all had happened, he heard stories from David and Aran, and Neen's experience on it but he wasn't present in person so this was different.

"Kong," Arthit caressed the younger's hair with his free hand. Pressing a soft kiss on his forehead.

Kongpob opened his eyes, meeting the warm hazel eyes. "I'm nervous."

Arthit didn't know what he should say at the moment, but seeing Kongpob in pain was breaking him even though he knows this is a step to be taken before their angel comes into the world to meet them.

"You're doing great, Kong. I'm soo proud of you, love."

Arthit brought their intertwined hands to his lips, kissing Kongpob's knuckles, whispering encouraging words to the younger.

The next few hours were filled with tension. Aran and Neen consoled Arthit when the younger was ready to tear up seeing Kongpob almost wither in pain. Arthit helped the younger as much as he could.

Dr Kit advised Kongpob to stand up or do any movements that would help him feel comfortable so Arthit helped Kongpob to take walks in the room. Stoping and leaning on the wall when the younger felt breathless.

Kongpob felt like waves were crashing on top of another, but being beside Arthit, his husband moving along with him and helping as much as he could Kongpob felt content. He was happy that Arthit was beside him, that he could feel the elder's warmth.

Arthit would back hug him, slipping his hands on his waist and slowly raising his belly. Kongpob would sigh in relief, feeling light and the weight being balanced. Arthit used to do the same at times after the third trimester had started and it always gave a moment of relief and relaxation to Kongpob.

"I'm here, love. I'll help as much as I can." Arthit had whispered back when Kongpob said that the elder could release his hands from his belly. He knows how much of a weight it is, he didn't want Arthit to get tired.

About 4 hours in, the room was filled with nurses who arranged everything for labour. Dr Kit already checking on Kongpob. Arthit was made to wear the hospital gown, the elder didn't leave Kongpob's side. Trying to calm the younger male.

"Everything is ready. When the next contraction hits, push Kongpob."

Kongpob nodded his head at Dr Kit, taking deep breaths.

Arthit cupped Kongpob's cheeks, pressing a soft kiss on his lips. "I'm here. You can do it, love."

When the next contraction hit after a few seconds Kongpob clutched on the side of the bed, giving his best as he pushed. Grunts and painful moans leaving his lips.

Arthit kept whispering encouraging words to his husband, trying to give him as much support as he can. He let the younger almost crush his hands as he cried out in pain while pushing, but Arthit didn't mind. Kongpob was going through a much intense pain, it was nothing compared to the numbness he was feeling in his hand.

"You're doing good Kongpob! Keep going! Yes- yes! Just like that."

Kongpob slumped his head back on the bed, feeling heavy and tired. Tears slipped down his cheeks. He took another deep breath before resuming what he had to do.

Kongpob moaned in pain as he started pushing. He felt soo drained yet he didn't know where he got the energy to push from. He gave his all as minutes passed, Dr Kit encouraging him along with Arthit.

A few minutes in Dr Kit gave orders to the nurses before focusing on Kongpob.

"Yes-Yes! Good! I can see the baby's head. A few more pushes Mr Rojnapath!"

Kongpob's grunts and cries echoed the room, harsh breathing and deep breaths escaping the younger's lips. He closed his eyes tight, gripping into Arthit as he continued to push.

After what seemed felt like hours had passed Arthit's head snapped towards Dr Kit when a shrill cry was heard. The first cry of their daughter.

"Time of birth, 8:56 am."

Arthit turned his attention to his husband who was exhausted, sweat covering his face and breathing harshly. He held the younger male tight, whispering how proud he was of him. A few seconds later a crying baby was placed on Kongpob's chest, blood and water covering the fragile body.

Kongpob's lips trembled, he sobbed as he smiled wide. Pulling the little being close to him, hugging her over his chest. All the pain and discomfort he had felt seconds ago vanished in a blink as the sight of his crying baby girl came in front of him.

"Oh my baby," Kongpob sniffled. Leaning over to press a delicate kiss on the small forehead.

Arthit sniffled, smiling wide. Feeling surreal for a moment, seeing their daughter in Kongpob's arms, crying, showing the sign of life was overwhelming.

"Arthit," Dr Kit stepped towards him, handing the medical scissor to the young man with a smile on his face.

"Ready?"

Arthit gulped, he looked up at Kongpob who smiled wide at him, tearing up again. With trembling hands, he took the scissors, with the guidance of Dr Kit he was able to cut the umbilical cord with his shaky hands.

Kongpob couldn't stop the smile that spread across his lips, watching everything. Seeing Arthit smile and let out his tears as their eyes met, everything was new, feelings and emotions. Silence enveloped between them as they stared at their little one on Kongpob's chest, now calm and pouting with her closed eyes.

They were interrupted when Dr Kit came to stand beside them with a nurse. "We have to clean the baby now, move her to the NICU for further checkups. And Kongpob should be taken care of too, he needs rest."

Kongpob was reluctant to give their baby away, he wants to hold her. He hasn't had enough of seeing his daughter, but when the nurse approached him he had to let the nurse take the baby, reluctantly.

"We'll see her soon," Arthit whispered, caressing his husband's forehead. He could see the tiredness returning to the younger's face after their little angel was taken away.

"I'm soo proud of you, love. Thank you, thank you Kong." Arthit captured the younger's lips, giving an assuring kiss that the younger responded in vigour.

Kongpob was able to take a shower with the help of a nurse and have a small meal before he was transferred to the postnatal ward, in his room.

Arthit was beside him as Kongpob slept for hours. The younger was elated, exhausted, emotionally drained at all at once, that it made him sleep for hours.

They had to wait two days before Dr Kit told them that the nurse will be bringing their baby girl to the room from the NICU. They had to monitor the baby since she was born one week early, according to the doctor their baby girl was healthy and everything was safe for her now.

Arthit helped Kongpob up to lean on the bed when their baby's paediatrician and a nurse entered the room, carrying a white bundle in her arms. Kongpob took hold of Arthit's hand. Holding it as his eyes focused on the bundle, a small hand was peeking through it making the two parents' hearts skip a few beats.

Their families were outside the room, giving them the privacy to spend their precious moments with their daughter.

"Mr Rojnapath, here's your baby girl." The nurse smiled wide as she handed over the bundle in her hold to the awaiting arms of Kongpob.

Kongpob gasped, feeling his heartbeat rise as he took hold of his daughter. He cradled her close to his chest, holding her according to how the nurse guided him.

"Oh my..." The younger's lips trembled as they stretched into a wide smile. All the tiredness vanished from his system as a pair of round hazel eyes stared back at him innocently. Tiny pink lips parted, small arms moving around.

"She has been just fed. Sleepy now. You can call us once she cries again, we'll help you to feed her." The doctor smiled at teh couple before excusing themselves from the room.

Kongpob's shaky hands reached up to caress his daughter's soft cheeks. He looked up at his husband, whose eyes whelmed up at the sight.

"P'Arthit."

"She's soo beautiful, Kong." Arthit's voice wavered with emotions, his one arm wrapped around Kongpob's shoulder while the other moved to touch his daughter's tiny hand.

Kongpob smiled, letting his tears fall as he watched Arthit coo at their daughter who caught Arthit's finger in her hold."She has your eyes, P."

A teary chuckle escaped Arthit. The two parents were overwhelmed, seeing their baby girl safe and sound in their arms, after waiting for months to see her, to hold her was overwhelming. It was beautifully scary that now they were parents, given life to a new human being. A new life is a part of their family now.

"Hi, baby Dao," Arthit whispered to their daughter, smiling wide seeing their baby girl yawn, his small lips forming an 'O'. It was soo adorable that Arthit just couldn't stand still.

The younger smiled warmly, reached over to press his forehead against the elder's, their little girl in between them.

"Baby Dao."

The baby girl squirmed in Kongpob's arms, making small noise, her two tiny hands took hold of Arthit's finger, moving it to the sides, not wanting to let go.

The two parents giggled.

"I love you, Kong. I love you both soo much." Arthit pressed a kiss on the younger's forehead, letting his tears finally fall.

"I don't know how to express it, P'Arthit. I-I just love you both, soo much too."

Kongpob sniffled, the warmth that was bubbling in his chest. The happiness he felt was beyond words, the overwhelming emotions brought a lump in his throat, making it hard for him to speak out.

Arthit smiled, caressed Kongpob's hair as the younger leaned his head on his chest. He looked down at the two important people in his life. His world revolved around Kongpob months back, it was just them at that point. But now, a new life was in between them, who would call them Dad and Papa one day. Who they would give anything to protect and nurture. Their baby girl, their baby Dao made them realise that they can indeed fall in love once again, fall in love together for their precious little angel.

Holding baby Dao in their arms, cooing as her round eyes stared around the room, unfocused and fragile. The delicate little one in their arms is going to teach them soo many things, of becoming parents and many more. Forming their own family.
