"Khun Decha! Look who's here to meet you!"

Decha glanced up from his newspaper, hearing the overly excited voice of his right-hand man, Somsak. His eyes immediately widened as he saw the man behind the latter, he immediately stood up keeping the newspaper away as he took hurried steps to the man.

"Oh my! Khun Chai! It's a pleasant surprise!" Decha hugged the man who laughed in his embrace, patting his back firmly.

"You could have just called, I could have reached Bangkok! Why come travel to here?"

Chai waved his hand, "You and your wife travelled to my shop in Bangkok to book ornaments, so why couldn't I come here to deliver it to you? I lived here once, Khun Decha."

Decha smiled wide nodding his head as he invited Chai to take a seat. He smiled at his wife who walked down the stairs hearing the guest's voice.

"Ah Khun Maya! Swadee Kharp," Chai smiled wide, acknowledging the other's presence.

"Swadee Kha, Khun Chai. It's a surprise to see you here." Maya smiled politely, taking the opposite seat to her husband.

"I'm here to deliver your order, Khun Maya. And also thought to visit here, it's been a long time."

"You're always welcome here, Khun Chai," Decha gave an assuring smile which the other acknowledged as he reached forward to pat on the other's shoulder.

"What about your leg, Khun Maya? How is it?"

"It's getting better, Khun Chai. It's gonna stay forever anyway," Maya shrugged her shoulders. Her hands automatically reached to her knee, the aches have been low for the past few days but it doesn't mean it had gone completely.

"Ah! Now let me show you!" Chai turned towards Somsak who was watching the interaction with a wide smile on his lips, happy to see their friend/ex-neighbour once again in the hometown.

Realising what their guest needed Somsak took the bag of the other male which he had kept aside. Chai nodded in thanks before going through his bag, pulling out three boxes.

"There you go! It's good that you bought gold instead of keeping the money in the bank. At the time of your children's wedding, this gonna be of use, will be able to exchange it for money according to the price level at the time. And also, Khun Maya can wear it when needed."

Decha nodded as he watched his wife's face blossom as she took the few ornaments and gold chains they had purchased.

"Right, we were thinking about the same. I wanted to keep the money but Maya told me to better buy gold with it. It's a saving too. The gold price is not declining at any rate so it's a good opportunity. Now that Kongpob and Nai are of proper age we're trying to save up." Decha glanced at his wife, her rolling her eyes didn't go unnoticed by him when Kongpob's name was put in.

"Maya, bring some drink for Khun Chai please."

"Oh, Kongpob and Nai is in the kitchen, they'll bring it," Maya replied nonchalantly.

Decha took hold of his expressions as he smiled in Chai's direction. Engaging in talks of business and life, occasionally including Maya into it.

Soon plates of cups of teas and snacks were brought in by two males. One held a soft, polite smile while the other held an overly excited wide grin.

"Swadee Kharp Khun Chai." The young man waied at the guest, smiling calmly, standing close to Decha after the plates were kept on the table in front of them.

"Swadee Kharp Khun Chai!" Another voice followed, giving out vibrant energy as he waied. Maya hissed, glaring at the male as she pulled him towards her side by his hand.

"Oh my! This is Kongpob, right? The last time I saw you was when you were 12 or 13!" Chai couldn't help but exclaim, his eyes holding warmth as he gazed at the young man standing beside his friend.

"Wow, Khun Chai! You recognised him even after all these years!" Decha laughed pleasantly, eyeing Kongpob who smiled warmly at him.

"Of course, I will! He was such a gorgeous kid back then and now he has become more handsome! Just look at him!"

Decha smiled wide, "He's studying BA Economics, graduating this year. He had been helping me with business too."

"Great! Great! Do you remember me, Kongpob?"

Kongpob smiled wide, his honey skin glowing as the sunlight hit his face.

"Of course, I do, Khun Chai. Even though I was little back then I do remember you, and Lung here tells a lot of stories about you." The polite and sweet voice of the younger male made Chai smile warmly, the latter hasn't changed much with his manners from the last time he saw him.

"Good! Good! And you Nai, how have you been? You've grown up a lot!" Chai pointed out the man who stood beside Maya.

"Oh, Khun Chai! I'm doing good! And even if you don't ask me, I remember you too." The statement from the younger male made everyone fall into a fit of laughter except for Maya who pinched Nai's arm making the other whine.

"Mae!" Nai whined, pouting at his mother.

"Behave," Maya gave a tight-lipped reply making Nai pout more.

Kongpob shook his head at the other male, he walked over to the other. "Come on Nai, let's go upstairs."

"Yeah! Let's go, P'Kong!" Nai quickly waied at their guest before sprinting upstairs.

"Oh, this kid! The same hyperactive kid! Aw, I missed his mischievousness," Chai couldn't help but laugh at the memories.

Kongpob smiled, politely excusing himself from them he followed Nai upstairs. He knows that his and Nai's presence wasn't important here. And his younger brother doesn't like to stand beside the guests and listen to their stories, it annoys the other out so Kongpob decided to join his brother.

"Bpâa wasn't happy, Nai. Tone down your energy a bit. Will you?" Kongpob chuckled as he walked into the room they shared. Sitting over at his neatly made bed.

"Come on! Just because we're bearers doesn't make us objects to be left in a showcase for everyone to see as if it's a museum!" Nai puffed his cheeks, shrugging his shoulders.

Kongpob laughed, leaning over to ruffle the younger's hair making the other smile wide at him.

"At least give Bpâa some rest will you? She's always worried for you."

"Nah! Let her be! She thinks I should have good manners if I have to get married! And this dark skin," Nai pointed around his face.

He scoffed, "My prince charming will surely come one day!"

Kongpob smiled, feeling a tug in his heart as he thought about Maya. He suppressed the feeling, laughing along with Nai as the younger played music on the radio, dancing his hearts out around the room.

"May both your sons marry the world's best son-in-laws soon!" Chai gave an assuring smile to Maya as he made his way back from washing his hands after having all the snacks. "You have my best wishes!"

Maya smiled wide, nodding her head at the other's remark.

"Thank you Khun Chai for making Mae smile!" Nai giggles behind Maya as he looked at the smiling face of his mother.

Kongpob could only chuckle beside Nai as Chai and Decha shared a laugh.

"It was great having you here today, Khun Chai." Maya nodded her head with a polite smile as he watched the other prepare to leave.

Decha stared at his watch, checking the time as they walked out of the living room after Chai waved his hands at others, letting them know that he was leaving."Khun Chai, it's time for me to go to the temple."

"Oh of course! I'll come with you, I miss the atmosphere at the temple." Chai patted the other's shoulder as he made his way towards the door, the busy streets of the town just a few steps away from where he stood.

Chai had missed the place, he had worked there for quite a long time and the neighbours and town people knew him. After he moved to Bangkok it isn't always that he could return to Chaing Mai and spend time together. The friendship between him and Decha is another aspect that makes him miss the town. They're like brothers, the respect they held for one another amuses him sometimes. Especially since Decha is from a family who lived in a small town, respect was something they valued a lot.

"It's a pleasure, Khun Chai." Decha acknowledged the other as he wore his footwear.

"Lung!!"

The two men turns around, smiling as they saw Kongpob running towards them, with a scarf in his hands. With a wide smile on the younger's face, he handed the scarf to Decha.

"He always forgets it," Kongpob added, shaking his head making Chai chuckle at the adorableness. Decha warmly smiled at Kongpob, wrapping the scarf around his neck.

"Please do visit us again, Khun Chai." Kongpob waied at the elder.

"Sure, dear."

They watched as the other jogged back inside, calling out for Nai for helping him out in the kitchen.

"He cares about the smallest of my needs. More than a son, he cares about me like a parent." Decha remarked suddenly, feeling warm over his nephew's small actions.

Kongpob had always taken care of his needs even before he could voice out. The young man had been a source of light in his life along with his son. It's a routine for him to visit the monk's at the temple nearby in the evening, as since it gets cold at night Kongpob makes sure he carries a scarf every day.

"Khun Decha, you wondered how I recognised Kongpob," Chai crossed his arms behind his back as they walked. "There's a talk in our town about him. His beautiful and soft-spoken nature. And the gorgeous man he has turned out to be."

"You must have received a lot of proposals for him, right?"

Decha nodded, a warry smile stretching onto his lips, "Yes, that's right. But times are changing, even values are changing. Good proposals are far too few."

He took a sharp intake of breath, "For Kong, I need a home where his values will be respected."

Kongpob is precious to him as his son. He had promised his brother and sister-in-law that he'll take care of him, that he'll be there for him. Kongpob is a man with soo many values, respect and dreams. He wanted the other to be sent off to a home where he will be respected, given space for his choices and the freedom to express himself.

"That's right," Chai nodded, his thoughts going deeper.

He followed Decha to the temple, taking strolls around the calm place. Seeking blessings from the monk. When they were done Chai had already made a decision in his mind.

"Khun Decha," he called out.

"I have a boy in mind for Kongpob. A wonderful, handsome boy from an excellent family."

Decha's eyebrows furrowed in confusion.

"Have you heard of Mr David Rojnapath? From RG Industries, Bangkok?" Chai gave a sly smile as he saw the realisation dawn on his friend's face.

"Who does not know him? He's a famous, respected personality in our society." Decha remarked, surprised that Chai was talking about them to him.

Chai chuckled, "He has scaled peaks of prosperity yet he's firmly rooted in simplicity. He's a very open-minded person."

"I'm suggesting Arthit for Kongpob. Mr David's youngest son."

Decha halted in his tracks, his eyes going wide open as a gasp left his lips. "I can't even think of an alliance from such a high-class family, Khun Chai."

"So? Are the sons of the high class to go unmarried?"

Chai shook his head, knowing exactly where the other's thoughts were going, "Which family doesn't need a good in-law? Especially a wonderful son-in-law?"

"But-"

"No! No buts! I don't want to hear anything, Khun Decha."

Chai turned around, placing his hands on the other's shoulder as he gave him a wide smile, "Khun David had been searching for a good spouse for his son. And a very good son-in-law is what I'm going to suggest him."

Chai raised his eyebrows at the other's still confused state, "You might have Kongpob's photo, right?"

"I have put the whole face pack on my face! Are you happy now?" Nai rolled his eyes as he leaned on the kitchen counter beside Maya.

Just because his skin colour was darker than that of Kongpob Maya makes sure that he tries every single way to bring his skin tone to the lighter shade. Experiments of face packs and herbs have already made him tired, he doesn't know why his mother makes such a fuss about it.

He turned towards Kongpob who was helping Maya with dinner, "Take a photo P'Kong, we'll send it to the zoo!"

With a smirk on his lips he turned towards Maya, wrapping his arm around her shoulder, "Por gave P'Kong's photo to Bangkok, so why can't I give mine to the zoo?"

Kongpob's hand stopped stirring the soup, he blinked confused as to why his uncle gave his photo to Bangkok.

"Mae, can I tell P about the new Bangkok boy?" Nai asked, a wide smile on his lips. He pouted soon when Maya glared at him as she pushed his hands off from her.

"I don't like these cheap antics. Stop it."

Nai rolled his eyes as he watched Maya walk out of the kitchen. He just hopes that Maya accepts him as who he is instead of blaming everything over his skin colour. He turned around when he felt a pat on his shoulder.

"Nai, who's this Bangkok boy?" Kongpob asked curiously, a shy smile on his lips.

Nai looked up at his brother, taking a deep breath he signalled with his hand to come closer. Kongpob blinked, leaning in with interest towards Nai.

The younger smirked, covering the side of his mouth as he leaned towards the elder's ear as if he was about to say a big secret. But he retrieved soon with a laugh.

"Why should I tell you?"

"Nai!"

Kongpob glared at him. Turning off the stove he ran behind Nai who sprinted teasing him

"Por! Por!" Nai called out, laughing out loud as he escaped his brother's hands.

Kongpob's eyes widened as he heard Nai call for Decha. "Nai! Listen!"

"Stop! Nai"

"No!"

Kongpob ran up the stairs, breathing heavily as he tried to stop Nai from going to Decha's room. He's sure to get embarrassed if Nai does what he thinks the latter will.

"Nai! Listen to me! No!"

Nai pushed his hands away from him before sprinting inside Decha's room. Laughing loud as he pulled his father as a shield when Kongpob tried to pull him away.

"Por! Look!" Nai screamed, pulling Decha away from his blushing brother.

"P has been asking me this same question over and over again!"

Decha frowned at his son's remark.

"He keeps asking when that Bangkok boy will say yes for the marriage!"

Kongpob's eyes widened in horror, trusting Nai to exaggerate the situation and talk.
"What!? Nai! That's not true!"

Kongpob glared at his brother. Running over to him in an attempt of catching the latter Nai was prepared for the run as he took the opposite side and sprinted from the room while teasing and laughing at his elder brother.

Kongpob puffed his cheeks in annoyance as he followed Nai, calling out for him to stop.

"Kong."

The younger male stopped in his tracks, his hands on the door frame as he took deep breaths. Gulping as he waited for his uncle to speak.

"Khun Chai has taken your photo to Bangkok with soo much hope." Decha walked to his nephew, smiling softly as he gazed at the young man.

"After seeking blessings from the monks at the temple today, I don't know why but I feel like this is the family you're destined to belong to."

Kongpob bit his lips as he felt Decha's hold on him tremble. He could feel how hopeful Decha was and he doesn't know what to say or do. He can't keep his expectations either.

"Hurry up Grandpa! There's no time!" Ryan pouted as he hurriedly coloured on the book.

"Yes sir!" David saluted at the small boy in front of him as he leaned over to cut the picture on the paper in his hand.

"Khun David! Swadee Kharp!"

The elderly male glanced up, smiling wide as he saw the man who walked into the living room.

"Oh! Swadee Kharp Khun Chai! Welcome-welcome!"

Chai nodded his head, taking a seat beside the little boy who was on his knees as he coloured on the book on top of the coffee table.

"Oh, what is it? Marine Life?" Chai raised an eyebrow as he leaned over, checking on the pred out sheets of paper on the table.

"It's my dear grandson's school project. What do you think of it?" David chuckled as he leaned over to ruffle Ryan's hair.

"Oh, it's the world's best school project!" Chai exclaimed proudly, "But why soo early in the morning?"

David shrugged his shoulders, "Getting his homework done is my duty."

"We spent yesterday night watching a football match and we suffer now."

Chai laughed at the grimaced expression that graced over the elder's face. Seeing the CEO of RG Industries, clad in his suit, working on colouring and cutting pictures for his grandson's project was a sight to be seen.

"You paste the picture of the submarine, I'll colour the background. Your teacher will never know." David winked at his grandson as he passed the picture to him, taking over colouring the paper.

Ryan halted on his work, he raised an eyebrow as he watched his grandpa take the crayon from his side and start colouring.

"Khun Chai," Ryan turned towards the other male who early turned his attention to the young boy. "What colour is the water?"

"Blue," Chai shrugged his shoulders.

"And Grandpa, what are you doing?" Ryan raised an eyebrow.

David blinked, he quickly took his glasses from his pocket and wore them. Giving out a sheepish laugh as he saw the colour he had chosen.

"Oh! It's green! Sorry!"

Ryan rolled his eyes, "Grandpa! Grow up!"

"Swadee Kha, Khun Chai!" An enthusiastic voice from the dining room took their attention.

"Swadee, Neen! How have you been?" Chai stood up, walking to the young lady who smiled brightly at him as she set the table with food.

"I'm doing great, Khun Chai!" Neen smiled back. "Everyone! It's breakfast time!"

"Have breakfast with us, Khun Chai." Neen pointed towards a chair and Chai gladly accepted it, he won't waste a chance to taste the food of Rojnapath's daughter-in-law.

"Have you seen the boss of 10,000 men being bossed around by a boy?" Chai points out at the grandson-grandpa duo, they both chuckled as they watched their interaction. "Look how he obeys him."

"He's the grandpa after all." Neen shook her head laughing. It's always such a sweet sight to see the two converse and gang up at times.

The dining room soon filled with laughter as Ryan was carried to the table by the CEO. The grandson and grandpa teased eachother as they settled on their chairs.

"Good morning Pa! Good morning everyone!" Rushed footsteps were heard as a man in a suit jogged down the stairs, giving a short hug to David and a kiss on the forehead for the little champ.

"Good morning, Aran." David patted his son's back as he asked him to take a seat.

"Swadee Kharp, Khun Chai. When did you return from Chaing Mai?" Aran gave a soft smile to the elder male before he placed the newspaper in his hand on the table.

"Swadee, Aran. I came back yesterday night. The place looks the same as it was back then, it was refreshing to be there."

Neen raised her eyebrows as she watched her husband take the newspaper in hand and start reading them. She rolled her eyes, setting the plate in front of Aran she turned to David.

"Pa, reading the newspaper at the dining table isn't allowed." She pouted making Aran look up at her with a betrayed gaze.

"Pa, it's only business news please!" He whined.

David and Ryan shared a glance as they facepalmed."You have got the full day for business, Aran. Breakfast time is always-"

"Family time!" Ryan raised his hands, a wide smile on his face as he teased his father.

Neen giggled as she took away Aran's newspaper. If the latter gets any sort of newspaper in hand then he doesn't care about anything else, that's one trait of Aran that Neen finds the most annoying.

"Aw Neen, by the way, where is Arthit?" David asked, placing the glass of milk that was handed out by his daughter-in-law to Ryan.

"He left early for his tennis game. You forgot, Pa?"

David gave an embarrassed laugh, "Oh, sorry. I forgot."

"Grandpa is getting old!" Ryan giggled when David threw an accusing gaze to the other making the whole table laugh.

"Khun Chai, if Pa had it his way then he would have the whole family around him all day." Neen chuckled as she took a seat beside her husband. Aran turned to her, placing food on her plate making Neen smile warmly at him.

"One minute!" David halted, his eyes narrowed at his daughter-in-law. "Are you taking Ryan with you for your mother's vacation party?"

Neen gave a sheepish smile, "Pa, we'll be back soon."

David threw his hands in the air, "Let ten men leave the house, you won't know but if the children and in-laws leave the whole house sounds empty!"

The table shared a giggle as they watched the CEO pout like a child. They know how much he adores his family, especially children and the in-laws. David treasures his family a lot and anyone who knew the Rojnapaths wouldn't think twice about the fact that they keep family above any other situation.

"Neen, you're not going to your mother's vacation party this time!" David playfully pointed a finger at her making Neen whine.

"Pa!"

David shook his head, chucking. He might say things like that but he never stops anyone of them from doing their own things. Neen has her family too and he knows she should spend time with them, before she became his daughter-in-law, she was her family's daughter.

"For this permanent problem on this house, I have got a wonderful solution."

Chai's sudden declaration made everyone turn their attention to the latter who had a sly smile on his face.

"You will be able to go to your mother's and the house won't sound empty either." Chai wiggled his eyebrows at Neen who blinked confused.

"How is that?" David leaned over the table, eager to know what Chai's plan was.

"Bring home a junior son-in-law, Khun David! Problem solved!"

The table gasped.

A soft smile took over Chai's lips as he turned his attention to David, "I have found a perfect spouse for Arthit."

There was a few seconds of silence before David stood up and rushed to Chai's side.

"I want details!" David exclaimed.

"Hey, Arthit! Your phone!" Knott called out from the bench, watching his two friends battle against eachother in tennis.

Arthit stopped on his okay, chucking as he saw Bright heaving at the other side of the court, hands on his hips as he stared back at him. If this goes on he's gonna win another round too.

"I'll be right back!" Arthit jogged towards the bench, taking his water bottle he took a few sips from it.

"Bright looks like you'll lose again this time." Tootah gave a teasing punch on Bright's shoulder, he made a face when the sweat on Bright's t-shirt damped on his hand.

"Shut up, Tootah!"

Arthit chuckled at his friends before leaning over the bench his things were kept, taking his phone from them he frowned at the message that was displayed on his screen along with the missed call.

Taking a deep breath he packed his bag. Turning towards his friends.

"Sorry guys, Pa wants me in office and it's urgent."

"At least finish the game, Arthit!" Bright called out.

Arthit took a few steps forward, sweat sliding over milky skin, hair pushed back with his hand. A small smirk played on his lips as he gave a light punch on Bright's chest, "You win."

"Hrgg! Arthit!" Bright rolled his eyes making everyone laugh.

Arthit shook his head chuckling at the other's antics as he jogged away from the tennis court. He had to take a good shower and change into his office clothes before going to the company where his father was waiting for him. He won't think twice before going over to whatever place it is if his father calls him to have him beside him. And the fact that the latter called and messaged him was making him somewhat anxious. As long as he remembers there isn't anything important that's supposed to be happening in the near date.

And when he was finally able to get into the premises of the company everyone, even the security guard was giving him a knowing look with wide smiles, as if he had come back from achieving something really big.

Walking over to the reception counter he leaned over the desk, smiling wide at the middle-aged lady who sat behind the computer.

"Hey, P'Durian!" He giggled when the latter immediately turned to face him. He stretched out the burrito wrap he had brought on his way to the office towards Durian. "Grab a bite?"

"No! No! Oh my dear, Arthit!" Durian stood up, walking over to Arthit and engulfing him in a tight hug almost making the 26-year-old almost breathless. "I'm soo happy for you!"

Arthit frowned when Durian pulled away and pinched his cheeks making the latter let of a whiny noise.

"Go! Go! Go! Your Pa is waiting for you! I'm soo happy!" Durian pushed the latter towards the elevator, urging the latter to move past.

Arthit smiled nervously, not knowing what it was all about. His priority now was to meet his father so he didn't push further into the matter as he made it to his father's office.

Every single employee that passes by him either gives him a teasing nod or the 'I know what's going on' smile at him. And it was increasing his suspicion.

Standing in front of the CEO's room he knocked on it. Peeping through the glass door at his father and another employee who was inside.

"Come in, son!" David called out after glancing at the door.

"This is ok." David pointed at the file the employee was showing him.

"Ok, Sir. The rest isn't urgent, sir." The employee glanced at Arthit and gave him a sly smile as he closed the file.

"You can talk with Khun Arthit, sir. Please." The employee excitedly waied at the CEO. With a knowing smile on his face, the employer gazed at their boss's son.

Before he walked away he patted Arthit's shoulder making the latter stare at him confused.

Arthit frowned as he took a seat in front of his father.

"Papa, why is everyone beaming at me today? It seems soo weird. I didn't even win any games today." Arthit tried to think. The only occasion others would smile at him like today is when he wins Tennis matches at different clubs, tennis was his favourite sport and he does go to play matches. And Durian would make sure to spread out the news of his win all the time.

David chuckled, resting his arms over the table he smiled."It's all because there is a wedding proposal for you."

Arthit gasped, his shoulders tensed. His face filled with uncertainty.

"You mean... marriage?"

David nodded his head, "Your education is completed and you started to work too. It's time for us to think about your marriage."

"Khun Chai came home today." David could see the gears in his son's head turn in all possible directions. "He brought a proposal today, his name is Kongpob. Kongpob Suttilak. A bearer."

Arthit bit his lips, not knowing how to react to the news. He kept massaging both of his palms to ease the tension out of him.

"Kongpob's parents are deceased, he was raised lovingly by his uncle. They live in Chiang Mai, a small town there, Khun Chai says they're very decent and honest folks."

"If I have your yes, then next Sunday, we'll go to Chang Mai to meet him." David gave a wide smile to his son but the lack of interest in his son's face bothered him.

Sighing he stood up, walking over his son he took the seat beside the younger male.

"If there's someone else that you like, you can openly talk about it to me, son."

Arthit immediately shook his head, "No Pa, there's nothing of that sort."

"The only issue is that....." Arthit looked up at his father. "Marriage? So early?"

"Now is the right time, son. Even your brother married at your age."

David took Arthit's hand in his which started sweat making him chuckle."From my experience, it's easier to accept someone and easier to adapt to someone at an early age."

"It guides for a relationship that grows more, that takes deeper roots."

"Pa, I haven't even started my career." Arthit voiced out defensively. He isn't planning on settling down yet, let alone to marry. "I'm just a trainee now, Pa."

"Arthit, every man who aspires to achieve needs an inspiration," David gazed straight into the other's eyes, a warm smile on his lips. "He'll come into your life like an inspiration."

"To share every moment of your life, to bear half the burden of your sorrows. And to double your joy."

Arthit gulped as his father patted his shoulder. The next second the elder male asked him to take some time to think, telling him that they'll talk soon. Arthit didn't have any other choice as he walked out of the cabin room towards his work seat. Every employee eyeing him with wide smiles and squeals. The news has already spread around the company and Arthit feels as if he's put inside a cage for everyone to stare and judge him. He knows all of them are just genuinely happy for him and is excited to know who is their boss's son's spouse.

The whole day even if he had done his work sitting in front of the computer all he could think was about the marriage proposal and Kongpob. The name itself brought a shiver onto him. His mind kept running miles, he hadn't thought about marrying any time soon. He wanted to settle first, discover himself but here his Pa was talking about getting him married. He knows his brother too got married at his age, but Aran was in a better position at the company than he was now during the latter s marriage. People are judgemental and he doesn't know how his soon-to-be spouse is going to be.

When work was done David and Arthit found themselves in the silence of their car as the driver drove them to their home. The silence wasn't comfortable, at least for Arthit. He wanted to talk but he doesn't know how to start the conversation.

"You must be thinking, why select a boy from a small town in Chiang Mai?" David suddenly voiced out making Arthit's breath hitch for a moment.

"Your Ma was also from a small village near Chiang Mai. Now, who could be a better mother to you than her?"

A smile formed on the younger's lips at the memory of his mother. His mother was well educated despite the fact that she was from a small village back then, her ideologies and enthusiasm always brought life to their family. When she passed away it hit them with a huge effect, it took time for each one of them to adjust to the change in their family.

"I and your Ma, we lived our life to the fullest, travelled around the world, watched you boys grow up. To this day she's with me." A bitter smile formed on David's lips.

"Nowadays when I see youngsters losing faith in marriage I feel soo sorry. " David turned towards his son.

"Your mother always maintained the most vital components in a marriage. Trust and honesty. Children these days miss the significance."

"Arthit, I have always tried to be in step with you, your generation. To use the language you speak, your kind of fashion, music, movies. Now I want you too to imbibe certain values from the old generation."

David took his son's hand in his. He could see how confused and uncertain the other looked but he wanted the latter to take this chance.

"Meet the boy, speak with him, find if you can understand eachother. Then you can take the decision. I'm not forcing you, Oon. Just give it a try."

Arthit bit his lips, nodding his head. He watched David take out an envelope from his bag before placing it in his hand.

"Take a look, I'll wait for your decision."

The younger male opened the envelope, taking out the paper inside it. His breath hitched as the picture of the boy came into view. His fingers softly caressed over it.

The beautiful wide smile, dark charcoal eyes and soft lips. The shine on his face, his honey skin glowing, the mole on his neck. Every detail caught his eyes and for a moment Arthit forgot to breathe.

Neen chuckled as she watched her brother-in-law looking dazed at the photo in his hand.

"Arthit, Khun Chai had told me once that when Pa talked to your dear brother about marriage back then he had blushed crimson." Neen laughed when she got a glare from his husband who sat at the balcony in Arthit's room, reading the newspaper. The male could chuckle at them.

Neen rolled her eyes, "I know that the wife's presence is always taken for granted! But at least for once keep the newspaper down and give some advice to your brother."

"Neen!"

Arthit laughed, propping his head on his hand on the bed as he turned towards his sister-in-law who was playfully glaring at Aran.

"Do you know Arthit? The first time he came to meet me he was well prepared! Almost memorizing a whole questionnaire!" Neen ignored the wide eyes of her husband as she continued.

"P'Aran!" Arthit called out, not believing that his brother was prepared for everything.

Aran narrowed his gaze at his brother as he walked towards him, sitting beside him on the bed."What?"

"What was the first question you asked P'Neen?"

Aran cleared his throat, "First question? I-That-"

"May I have a glass of water please?" Neen imitated her husband's voice. "That was the first and last question!"

Arthit laughed out loud with Neen as they watched Aran blush crimson at the remark.

"Uncle Thit!" Ryan jumped on the bed, propping his elbow over Arthit's torso. He pointed at the picture in his uncle's hand, "Are you going to marry him?"

Arthit smiled, gazing at the picture. "Let's see."

"Will he give you goodnight kisses like Mommy gives Papa?"

Neen and Aran's eyes widened as Arthit choked at the other's question. Soon falling into a burst of laughter as he pointed at Ryan."Naughty!"

"He always talks his head off!" Aran rolled his eyes, pulling his son off the bed.

"You got a be careful about what you say in front of this little guy!" Arthit remarked as he continued to laugh, seeing his brother's flushed cheeks was a perfect sight.

"Come on Ryan, it's bedtime." Aran took Ryan's hand in his.

"Goodnight!" Ryan waved his hands at his uncle who chuckled and waved back.

"You're becoming too mischievous!" Aran playfully glared at his son who giggled at him.

"Papa," Ryan stopped in his tracks, pointing at the stack of newspapers in Arthit's room. "Paper?"

Aran glanced between his son's encouraging eyes and the newspapers. Leaning forward he took the one at the top in his hands.

"Hey! That's yesterday's paper! Put it down!" Neen shouted from the bed making Aran immediately drop the paper back on the table.

"No, I was only-Hrg! Fine! Come, Ryan!" Ryan laughed along with the other two as Aran dragged him away, happy to see his Papa get scolded by his Mom.

When they two left the room Arthit turned around towards Neen, resting his head on her lap he gazed at Kongpob's photograph.

"Tell me more about him, P'Neen."

"More about Kongpob?" Neen smirked, chuckling as she caressed Arthit's hair.

"I heard that he loves to read."

Arthit patiently listened to Neen, his gaze strictly on the photo, caressing it with his fingers ever soo softly.

"In their house, they aren't really good with the new technology and ideologies. A little conservative we can say, you know how bearers are handled in the old society. Imagine them from a conservative family, Kongpob's life is close to that."

"They might not have even gone to big restaurants as we do."

Neen glanced at the photo a soft smile on her lips."I liked him, doesn't he look gorgeous?"

After a moment of silence, Arthit found himself voicing out his nervousness."When I meet him, what will I ask P?"

Neen chuckled, "Won't worry, that poor boy might be in the same quandary as you."

"P'Kong! They're here!"

Kongpob's eyes widened as he heard Nai shout from the balcony. He rushed towards him, standing behind the younger male he peeked downstairs. He bit his lips seeing a very luxurious car parked in front of their house. His heart started to beat radically in his chest as he saw a young man, clad in a sweater suit step out of the car. The sharply chiselled face glowed under the afternoon sky, the hazel eyes reflecting under the sunlight. The slight pink hue that decorated the milky skin made Kongpob smile shyly.

The man looked a lot more handsome in person than in the photo he had received. Just like the man's name, he was glowing like the sun with those wide dimpled smiles.

His breath suddenly hitched when Arthit looked up, their eyes locked for a second before Kongpob ran back inside his room, his breathing uneven as he recalled the hazel eyes staring at him.

"Oh! Oh! Already soo shy!" Nai circled his arms around Kongpob's shoulder teasing the other.

"Shut up, Nai!"

Nai giggles, ticking Kongpob's side making the elder glare playfully at him.

"Now we wait for them to call us! Oh, I'm soo excited to meet my brother-in-law!"

"Who said he's gonna be your brother-in-law?" Kongpob raised an eyebrow.

Nai rolled his eyes, "Oh come on! I saw you staring at his picture the whole night and smiling like a teenager!"

"Nai!"

Nai laughed as he jogged out of the room. Trying to get a glimpse of the family that arrived from upstairs.

Kongpob chuckled, shaking his head he stood in front of the mirror. Circling his arms around his belly he stared at himself. Clad in a beige pullover sweater, slightly tucked in his wide-legged blue jeans. Hair parted to the side. He was nervous, feeling goosebumps all over him with the thought that he'll be meeting the son of one of the respected person's in society. He fears how the latter will take him to be, his family wasn't even a little close to how Arthit's family lives and he's afraid how the other's family will be like.

He had heard the neighbours gossip ever since Decha exclaimed that Arthit was going to come visit Kongpob that they wouldn't like how his family was. The big city people wouldn't marry from a low class like them and that they were only here because of Kongpob's suave beauty.

"P'Kong!"

Kongpob blinked, turning to his brother his eyebrows furrowed when Nai motioned him to come out. Walking towards the latter Nai pulled him along as they stood behind one of the pillars upstairs, staring at the living room where the Rojnapath family was seated, laughing and talking.

"Khun Decha! Please have a talk with him!" David pulled Decha to sit beside Arthit, urging the male to get to know his son.

"Sure-Sure," Decha nervously smiled, turning towards Arthit he was greeted with his warm dimpled smile.

"Swadee Khun Decha," Arthit waied politely, hiding his nervousness.

"Swadee Khun Arthit."

"Please call me Arthit, consider me as your son, Khun David."

Decha smiled wide, feeling at ease at the other's remark.

Kongpob couldn't help but beam at their interaction, he had got an impression on Arthit now with how polite the man was with his uncle and family. Watching them both laugh and converse with eachother was making him feel warm. His eyes plastered on the dimpled smile, the bright smile that captured his heart. He didn't know someone's smile would be soo beautiful that it would make his heart skip beats.

"Nai, son!"

Decha's excited voice startled Kongpob. Nai gave him a smirk making him shiver. It was time.

"Let's go, P?"

Kongpob took a deep breath. Calming his racing heart he nodded his head before he let his brother drag him to the living room.

Despite him trying to calm his heartbeat each step he took made him feel as if he was going to be interviewed for a job in some high-class business group.

"Kongpob is here. Come sit, son." Decha stood up, walking up to his nephew he led him to the chair opposite to Arthit's, seated in between Neen and David.

"Finally we can see Kongpob in person!" Neen excitedly extended a hand forward.

"I'm Neen, Arthit's sister-in-law."

"Swadee Kharp, Khun Neen." Kongpob shook Neen's hand, smiling warmly.

"Oh please! P'Neen will do." Neen chuckled. "And this is Aran, Arthit's brother and that is Ryan, our son."

Kongpob waied at Aran who smiled back at him nodding his head.

"Hi, Uncle Kong!" Ryan rushed towards Kongpob, smiling bright showing off his dimple making Kongpob smile wide.

"Hey, young man," Kongpob pinched the latter s cheek, giggling when Ryan smiled wider.

"Ryan is already smitten by Kongpob!" David exclaimed earning laughter and words of agreement from the others.

Kongpob could only shyly smile as he felt hai face grow warm with the attention he received, especially feeling a certain hazel eyes on him that he doesn't yet dare to look back at.

He picked Ryan up and made him sit on his lap, conversing with the little boy as he tried to stop himself from staring back at the burning gaze he had felt.

"Khun Decha, we have met Kongpob. Now, with your permission, let Kongpob and Arthit talk to eachother, to get to know their minds. What do you say?" David suggested, smiling warmly at Kongpob who looked back at his puzzled.

"Of course! Nai, show them the place." David nudged his son's shoulder.

"Sure Por!" Nai excitedly stood up, pulling Kongpob up he then took the tray of two glasses of tea and teapot in his hand.

"Neen, please?" David smile when her daughter-in-law nodded her head.

"Come on, little brother." Neen teasingly pulled Arthit up from his seat whose eyes kept glancing at Kongpob.

Neen smirked as she observed the way Arthit kept gulping and playing with the buttons of his suit as they followed Kongpob and Neen who walked upstairs.

"Have we come to sit on the swing?!" Ryan rushed up to Neen, decided to tag along with her as he pointed at the large swing that was situated on the second floor.

"No, Ryan." Neen chuckled, "We have come here to talk."

"Oh! Why can't we talk downstairs?" Ryan asked confused, glancing at Arthit who cleared his throat.

Neen shook her head at her son's questions, "Your uncle and Kongpob wants to talk here."

"Then, what are we doing here?"

"Ryan! No more questions." Neen pulled Ryan as they stood beside Kongpob, she tried to make small conversations with the younger male who she could see was shy with their presence.

Taking the opportunity Nai stepped up, coming close to Arthit who nervously smiled at him.

"Hi, I'm Arthit."

"Hi, P'Arthit! I'm Nai! P'Kong's brother!" He giggled, "If the two of you agree to this marriage then I'll be your brother-in-law!"

Arthit chuckled at the hyper activeness of the younger boy. When they reached the veranda upstairs he couldn't help but admire the place. It wasn't modern but the traditional touch to the setting was beautiful. The small garden that was around the two sets of the wooden sofa was beautiful, the chirping of the birds and small hustle of the neighbourhood brought it a homely touch.

Neen walked forward helping Nai to set the tea over the wooden coffee table. When they were done the two shared a meaningful glance as they moved towards Kongpob and Arthit. Pulling the two males to stand closer they giggled as they watched their eyes go wide when their shoulders touched.

"Too much formal! We're crowding over the ones who need privacy now, let's leave?" Neen chuckled with Nai who nodded his head.

"Ok, Arthit and Kongpob! All the best!" Neen patted their shoulders.

"Do they have exams?" Ryan frowned at his mother.

"Hmm, most likely." Neen pulled her son with her as she and Nai walked away leaving the two males alone.

Once they were out of sight Arthit turned towards Kongpob who smiled shyly at him.

"Have a seat," Kongpob politely addressed the other male, motioning him to sit.

Arthit nodded his head, taking his seat he watched Kongpob sit at the other end of the sofa. How he wish he could close the huge gap that was between them where almost a huge elephant could be seated. Slow steps Arthit, not yet.

"I'm not sure that I know what we should be talking about right now." Arthit let out a nervous laugh, staring at his palms.

"We're meant to take the next step in our lives." A sigh left his lips, "But before discussing about the past how can we talk about our future, right?"

Kongpob urged himself to keep his eyes strictly on his palms. He knows that he wouldn't be able to last long if he makes eye contact with those shining hazel eyes. Just being in close proximity with the latter made him feel like he has run a few miles.

"I completed my schooling and college in Bangkok. And I went abroad for a year, studying journalism, literature. Basically trying to discover myself." Arthit started to talk about himself, he figured out that he should let the other know about him so that Kongpob would get comfortable.

"My brother says I'm too emotional, in business matters." Arthit chuckled.

"My family calls me 'Oon' sometimes. It's a nickname my mom gave me. Her passing away was a huge hit on all of us."

Kongpob raised his head, meeting the bittersweet smile on the other's face. Involuntarily he reached his hand forward, placing it over the other's palm, softly patting it as if to provide a small comfort.

When Arthit looked up with warmth seeping through his gaze Kongpob immediately retrieved his hands, blushing mauve as he glanced down at his hand.

Arthit couldn't help but smile as he was able to spot the red hue that decorated the other's honey skin. The latter looked adorable. He decided to continue so that the other won't feel embarrassed.

"In college I liked someone," Arthit observed Kongpob's reaction. He was surprised to find that the latter didn't even budge or try to look up at him.

"She was my classmate. Several times I wanted to make conversations but I didn't have any guts."

"And it was just as well, later I found out that she had two boyfriends already." Arthit chuckled at the memory, his smile widened when he saw the corner of Kongpob's lips lift in a shy smile.

"I-I even tried smoking with my friends back then. But when P'Neen found out I promised her I will never smoke or drink."

Arthit shifted in his seat, turning in his seat to face the other male, "I have never talked about these things even to my Pa, but I don't know why I felt I had to tell you."

Kongpob nodded his head, turning to face the elder male.

"I'm told that you like reading, which books are your favourite?" Arthit gave a friendly smile to the other, trying to get the other to talk.

"An Interlude In Eternity, Finding Faith," Kongpob smiled remembering his collections.

Arthit felt a shiver run down his spine as the younger's soft voice greeted him. If he could he is ready to listen to the soothing voice for hours.

"They're just a few of my favourites."

Arthit nodded his head, "Do you believe in prayers? I mean, you trust God will give you what you seek? Do you believe in it?"

A soft smile graced Kongpob's lips, "Every human has total faith in one or the other things. Doesn't matter what it is."

Arthit thought for a second before his lips stretched into a wide smile at the younger's answer. He was impressed.

"You can ask me whatever you wish for." The elder reminded, it was him talking most of the time with the younger's small replies to his question, he thought the other might want to ask him many questions regarding what they're going to become.

"The tea has gone cold. I'll get you another cup?" Kongpob offered, leaning forward to take the teapot.

"No thanks, it's ok." Arthit leaned in taking the teacup, taking a huge gulp from it. Sighing as the dryness of his throat vanished.

Looking back at the younger male who was staring back at him he tilted his head, "You-You really don't have any questions to ask me?"

He gulped, "About that girl...maybe?"

Kongpob shook his head, offering a soft smile."I have got all my answers."

Arthit was taken aback, he nodded his head nevertheless. "If you wish, we can meet again? You don't need to make a decision now."

Kongpob's heart skipped a beat at the soft remark. The concern in the other's eyes made him smile. Arthit nodded at the silence of the younger make, with a Puzzled look on his face he gazed around.

"Well then, let's go back?" Arthit asked softly making Kongpob feel tremours rush through him with the honey voice, melting him to the core as he nodded.

They slowly stood up, unsure as to how they should proceed. Before they could ask one another any more questions Neen and Nai rushed up the stairs to meet them.

Neen had a teasing smile on her face when she spotted Arthit and Kongpob standing together, shy smiles on their faces. She chuckled as she watched Nai rush to Kongpob and drag him away with a giggle. Her eyes plastered on her brother-in-law who looked like a kicked puppy as he watched Kongpob being pulled into a room by Nai.

"So?"

Arthit jolted hearing Neen's voice, he was too engrossed staring at the direction Kongpob was dragged to, trying to get a glimpse of the younger male. "What so?"

"Is that a yes?" Neen wiggled her eyebrows.

Arthit scratched the back of his head, "Uh-I think..."

"It's all over your face! I know it's a yes, Oon!" Neen laughed as the younger's face turned red, before Arthit could react Neen bolted from the place, taking steps downstairs.

"One second! Listen!" Arthit rushed to Neen, his hands on the stairs railing, wide smile gracing his lips."I think we should meet again, once or twice. For his sake, you know."

Neen laughed, shaking her head. "Oh, Oon!"

Arthit giggled to himself, glancing at the way Kongpob had disappeared he but his lips from controlling his wide smile as he heard Neen call out for David.

"Pa!" Neen rushed to David, her smile holding soo much brightness that David found himself smiling. "It's a yes!"

David's eyes widened. He expected his youngest to ponder upon the decision for at least two days before giving his answer but here Arthit and beat him down. Kongpob was able to shake Arthit to the core that it didn't take much time for the latter to think further upon his decision, and this fact was pure joy to David.

"Where is he?!" Aran stepped forward, excited for his brother. He soon rushed upstairs after Neen directed him.

When he came face to face to his brother they stood in awkward silence.

"Uh-Congrats." Aran reached his hand out.

Arthit nodded his head, shaking their hands."Thank you."

They stared at eachother for a few seconds before breaking into a peal of laughter as Aran punched Arthit's shoulder playfully.

"I'm happy for you, Arthit!" Aran pulled his brother for a tight hug making Arthit smile wide.

"Thank you P."

David and Been watched with warm stares at the brothers, the happiness radiating in him too.

"Khun David! Congratulations!" Chai side hugged the latter, feeling excited with the turn of events.

David smiled, he stepped forward towards Decha who walked back to them after bringing in some snacks.

"Khun Decha!" David's hand rested on the other's shoulder, "It's a yes from our side."

Decha's eyes widened, he blinked before gasping in excitement at the news he received.

"Can you please ask Kongpob? If it's a yes from him then we can think about further decisions. I'm too excited to have him as my son-in-law." David's remark almost made Decha tear up as he nodded his head frantically.

"Yes! Yes! I'll check in with him!"

Decha glanced at Maya who had been silent the whole time the Rojnapath's had arrived, the latter hasn't opened her mouth unless questions were asked to her. Decha believed that he would at least get some reaction from her at the news that they received but it turned out depressing as Maya's lips formed into a frown.

Taking a deep breath Decha decided to set it aside as he jogged away to Kongpob's room.

"Nai! Kong!" Decha stepped inside the room, chattering and noises from downstairs reached till his son's room. "It's a yes from their side!"

"Yes!" Nai clapped his hands in excitement, he hugged Kongpob who stood beside him.

Decha chuckled, walking closer he pulled Kongpob towards him.

"Kong, dear, what's your decision?" What mattered to him was Kongpob's approval, even if the Rojnapath's is an efficient family that doesn't mean he would go against his nephew's decisions.

Kongpob bit his lips, there were too many emotions that were going through him that he didn't trust his voice at the moment. He glanced at Nai who excitedly clung to Decha's arm.

"Por, it's a yes." Nai rested his head on his father's shoulder as he tenderly gazed at Kongpob yet a teasing glint on his lips.

A sigh left Decha's lips, he couldn't be any happier."You asked him whatever you wanted to find out, right?"

Kongpob chuckled, nodding his head. "Yes, Lung."

"You want to meet him? Once or twice again to finalize your decision?"

Kongpob smiled, Arthit's voice echoing in his head as he heard his uncle's words. He shook his head at Decha, indicating he had already picked the decision.

"P'Kong says he's just like you, Por." Nai remarks.

Decha bit his quivering lips, engulfing both of his sons in his arms he let his happy tears fall. "Aw, my silly boy."

"Maya, what are you doing? We'll talk after everyone leaves." Decha gazed at his wife confused as he locked the door of their room.

Maya turned towards her husband, glaring at him."Before making any alliance with that family, talk about the dowry. We're from a village unlike them, I'm sure they'll put their dowry price extremely low for Kongpob."

Decha gasped at Maya, his hands clutched on either side as Maya continued to speak.

"And the expenses we have to incur for setting the venue, they'll need high-class wedding which is not quite affordable for us. Keep in mind that we have a son too, don't let them go down on the dowry they'll give for Kongpob."

"Sometimes you exceed the limit, Maya." Decha's jaw clenched as he glared back at his wife. He never thought his wife would behave in such a way.

"I don't care. Think about our son too, just because Kongpob is more beautiful than him doesn't mean Nai won't get a proposal in the future. We're from a poor family unlike them, the Rojnapath's fell for Kongpob's beauty, they'll only give the price for that."

"How could you, Maya? You saw with your own eyes how Kongpob is being adorned by the Rojnapath family." Decha took a deep breath, reminding himself that there were people outside and it's not good for him to get angry at this point.

"First, put off that jealousy from your head. Will you!?"

Maya scoffed, "You only think about Kongpo-"

"Khun David, may I come in please?"

The couple gasped hearing a knock on their door. They glanced at eachother before Maya stepped forward to open the door, coming face to face with David she moved back to stand beside her husband.

"Sorry for interrupting but I want to make some things clear." David smiled apologetically.

"We can discuss outside, Khun David. This room isn't very spaci-"

"Come on, Khun Decha. We're going to be a family, why such formalities?" David patted the other's shoulder.

Decha eyed his wife who rolled her eyes at him.

David's sigh brought their attention back to the latter, "I just want to make it clear that all we want is to bring Kongpob as my son-in-law, my son's partner. No matter what the status is I don't care. Just these few minutes of the talk I had with your nephew, I can clearly tell how wonderful Kongpob is."

Decha bit his lips, smiling softly at the other's remark.

"And please, don't worry about the venue arrangements. We don't care if it's luxurious or not, we only want Kongpob. And about the dowry."

Maya cleared her throat, glancing at her husband who focused on David.

"We're ready to give you as much as you want. You're giving your nephew to us, the child who you have taken care of all these years, you're giving your treasure to us. We're ready to give as much as it's needed. You can decide, Khun David."

Decha gasped, "Please, Khun David! There's nothing of that sort! I'm confident now that I'm giving my nephew off to a wonderful and accepting family. I will never bargain for him, Kongpob is my son too."

David smiled, stepping forward he hugged Decha who responded hesitantly.

"Our sons have started to like eachother, their engagement is going to be held in two months and we're going to be a family. So drop the formalities, Decha."

Decha smiled, nodding his head. Overwhelmed with the love and care the other was giving to his family, at this point he's confident that Kongpob will be in good hands and he doesn't have to worry about anything.

As soon as Kongpob and Arthit had conveyed their agreement the two families immediately made arrangements to fix their engagement date. They called an astrologer and fixed a perfect date for the ceremony to take place.

Both families were on the edge of happiness, they were witnesses of the secret glances shared between Arthit and Kongpob, the way the younger male blushed when Arthit would give his dimpled smile to him and how Arthit always tried to be around the place Kongpob stood, acting as if he was there to have a glass of water or talk with other family members.

Neen and Aran would give Arthit teasing gazes when being caught in the act. They used the full opportunity to tease their brother as they narrated embarrassing stories about him to Kongpob. Despite being embarrassed Arthit would smile a little wider when Kongpob laughs at the stories, showing off his perfect set of teeth, eyes almost disappearing as he laughed. The way the younger's cheeks puffs out made him want to reach out and pinch them.

"David, I have a request for you!" Decha smiled as they walked towards David's car.

"What is it Decha?"

"We have a small house at Doi Ang Khang. Whenever you get time, a few days together there with two of our families would be wonderful. It would be a great chance for Kongpob and Arthit to get along with eachother too."

David beamed at the offer, "Whenever you suggest, Decha! We're ready for it!"

He placed his arm around Kongpob who stood beside him, smiling warmly at the young man, "After all, we're looking for excuses to meet Kongpob!"

"The astrologer has set the date for the engagement on two months from now. Aw Khun Maya, please give him a good meal and ask him to bring the date closer!" David pouted making the others laugh.

"So, how about next month at Doi Ang Khan?" Decha suggested.

"Count us in, Decha!"

Kongpob smiled wide at how well the two elders were getting along, he's blessed to have made relation to such a warm family. Stepped aside from them he spotted Ryan by the car, whistling he caught the little boy's attention.

"Come here," Kongpob signalled Ryan to come closer.

Kneeling in front of the little boy he opened his palms, showing a set of chocolates, "These are for you."

"Chocolates!" Ryan exclaimed, hugging over the latter's neck he took the chocolates in his hand.

"Uncle Kong! Won't you come with us?" Ryan pouted, he already started liking his new uncle and he did feel at the fact that Kongpob won't be coming with him.

Kongpob chuckled, pinching the other's chubby cheeks. "I'll come soon. Just not this time"

"Promise?" Ryan tilted his head.

"Yes! Promise!"

Kongpob giggled as he watched Ryan run back to Neen who smiled at him from the car.

"We'll take our leave now, Swadee Kharp." David waied as they bid goodbye.

"Swadee Kharp." Decha and Chai waied in return.

David raised an eyebrow, "Khun Chai! Why are you with them? You have to be by our side!"

"Oh! I forgot!" Chai laughed out, scratching the back of his neck.

"You'll accompany our family side!" David pointed out.

"Oh!" Decha pulled Chai by his hand, "But Khun Chai will be with us!"

"That's correct too." Chai nodded his head.

"How can both be correct, Khun Chai?" Aran shook his head, chuckling at the antics of the elders.

Chai raised his hands in defeat, "Since I have an invitation from both sides, there is nothing that will stop me from attending from both parties over here."

"When Arthit's family arrives I'll be by your side to welcome them," He pointed at Decha."And when the Khan Maak Procession takes place I'll be with Khun David."

"Problem solved!" The elders laughed out loud.

Kongpob who stood by the, laughing along with the others were suddenly pulled by Nai. "P'Kong! One minute! Come with me!"

"What is it?" Kongpob asked confused, glancing back at the elders.

"Just come with me!"

"Nai! The guests are leaving, I should be the-"

"Shush P!" Nai hushed the other and Kongpob didn't have any other choice than to allow Nai to drag him.

When they reached the balcony Kongpob gasped, staring at the man who was leaning against the railing, staring at the evening sky.

"Oh, brother-in-law! You owe me this one!" Nai teased as he playfully pushed Kongpob towards the elder male before running back downstairs.

Kongpob gulped, he could feel his legs turn to jelly with the way Arthit walked towards him. Involuntarily he took a step back when the latter was too close to him. He feared his knees would give up with how jelly it had turned with the elder male's overpowering gaze on his face.

Words weren't exchanged, the silence prevailed for what seemed like hours yet they never felt the need to break the silence or pull away. Their eyes did the talk, lips quivered with unsaid emotions.

Kongpob blinked when he heard a shutter from Arthit's phone, he didn't realise that the elder had pulled out his phone and clicked his picture. His cheeks turned crimson, eyes cast down when he heard a deep chuckle from the other male followed by another sound of the shutter. His eyes widened as he helplessly looked up at Arthit, not wanting the other to take any more photos of his blushing face.

But when Arthit flashed his dimpled smile, the warm hazel eyes filled with unknown emotions as he stared at him. Kongpob's eyes darted on the elder's hand which reached out to almost touch him but they halted midway. An inch away from his hand.

Kongpob's heartbeat raised as Arthit's hand halted in the air. Visibility shivering at the possibility of the touch on his arm. A small giggle left his lips when Arthit ran past him, jogging downstairs.
