Kongpob waved his hands at his mom as he started cycling. He's excited to meet his friends after the term break and can't wait to make them jealous by boasting about his small vacation trip to his grandparents' house.
Kongpob whistled as he turned into the road to his school campus, there weren't many students on the road since it's a rarely used path. Most of the students use the road towards the front of the campus but Kongpob usually takes the route at the back since it's near to his house.
"Hey!"
Kongpob jerked up as a loud horn echoed in his ears, he automatically clutched onto the break and soon his feet touched the road as he stopped the cycle.
"Hey, Kid! Watch out!"
Kongpob looked up at the source of the voice to see a black car right in front of him, he noticed a pale man with black aviators who was looking in his direction with his head out of the window.
"I'm not a kid!" Kongpob glared. One thing that he hated was being called a kid by others. He was always teased for being soo lean and having a child like behaviour by his classmates. For god's sake, he's 16!
He watched the pale man chuckled at him, "Ok, young man. Have your eyes on the road and don't daydream next time."
Kongpob bit his lips when he saw a smile directed towards him which made his cheeks heat up. "Sorry."
With round eyes, Kongpob watched the man nod at him and pull his head back into the car before it drove past him. Kongpob turned his head, looking at the direction the man was drove away. He remembered the friendly, full tooth smile of the elder man. And it somehow made him feel butterflies.
"Geez Kong! You're crushing over a random dude who you just met in the middle of the road!" Kongpob smacked his head before he started cycling to his school compound.
As Kongpob reached inside the premises of his school, he parked his cycle along with other students' and excitedly ran towards his class. He can't wait to meet his friends and tell them about how he enjoyed his stay with his grandparents.
He knows his friends are jealous of him since they couldn't join him to visit his grandparents like how they usually used to during term breaks for the past five years.
"Hey, guys!" Kongpob smiled widely at his friends who were chatting with eachother until he came.
"Hey, buddy!" Aim fist-bumped his best friend.
"Tell me! What did you bring for us from grandma!?" Oak moved his seat towards Kongpob who just rolled his eyes.
"You're always about treats!" Prae smacked her friend's shoulder.
Oak just shrugged.
"I know grandma will send something for us! She's not heartless like you!" Oak pointed at Kongpob.
"What did I do? It's not my fault that you couldn't come." Kongpob smirked.
"Whatever!"
Aim sat closer to Kongpob and took his bag from the table.
"What are you doing?" Kongpob raised an eyebrow.
"Checking for grandma's treats," Aim replied without moving his eyes from Kong's bag.
Kong and Prae shared a glance, they couldn't help but shake their heads thinking why they were friends with these two.
"Wow! Cookies!" Aim took out a transparent cookie box from Kongpob's bag.
"Grandma is the best!" Oak stood up from his seat next to Kongpob and walked across the table to sit beside Aim.
"Save some for us too, idiots!" Prae tried to take a cookie but Oak swat her hand away.
Kongpob chuckled, "Don't worry, I have another box with me."
Kongpob took his bag from Aim and opened the row which his friend didn't check in. He took out a box full of cookies and waved at Prae and cheered.
"Kong always thinks ahead!"
Kongpob high fived with Prae while the other two just rolled their eyes.
The classroom was in chaos when the school bell rang, everyone hurried to their seats and took out their books, expecting their teacher to come. Their teacher was strict and above all a maths teacher. Everyone feared that lady with big round glasses and a glare always plastered on her face.
"Huh? Mrs Jackson is late? Wow!" Oak let out a mocking gasp.
"We should record this date," Prae added, trying to look out of the classroom window to see whether their teacher was coming.
"Hey! The principal is coming!" One of the students shouted and the class turned pin-drop silent.
Kongpob's eyes widened when he saw the person who entered the class with the principal, he remembered the guy.
"Good morning," the principal gave a standard smile as he entered the class.
"Students, I would like to inform you that your class teacher Mrs Jackson had resigned from school for personal reasons. So you'll be having a new teacher." The principal smiled politely at the students.
He looked at the well-dressed man beside him and patted his shoulder as he introduced him. "This is Mr Arthit Rojnapath, your new class teacher. Like your previous teacher, he'll be taking mathematics for you."
Arthit smiled at the students as he bowed in front of them, the students doing the same.
So his name is Arthit Rojnapath. Kongpob gulped as his eyes didn't leave the new teacher. It was the same man he met on his way to school, in the car.
Gosh, he never expected him to be a teacher, let alone his class teacher! He looked more like a person who runs a big business.
He couldn't help but check out the latter. The beige shirt Arthit wore perfectly hugging his well-built figure, the black pants sticking close to his frame. His shoulders broad and Kongpob could see veins on the latter's neck, making him looking smoking handsome. His hair parted and styled to a side, he even had a small black stud in his left ear. The flashing smile and those dimples on either of his cheeks making Kongpob feel butterflies in his stomach.
"Kong," Aim nudged his friend making Kongpob blink as he turned to face Aim.
"What?" Kongpob whispered.
"Stop ogling," Aim smirked.
Kongpob could feel his cheeks and the base of his neck turn hot, "Shut up!"
Aim winked at him making Kongpob groan.
"I hope everyone won't make it hard for your new teacher, I'll take my leave now." The principal added.
He turned towards the new teacher and shook his hands, "All the best Mr Rojnapath."
"Thank you, Sir." Arthit smiled back politely.
As the Principal walked out of the class Arthit turned towards the student who looked at him expectantly.
"Good morning guys," Arthit waved at the students.
"Good morning Mr Rojnapath," the class greeted him back bringing a smile on Arthit's lips.
"I'm sorry that I'm late, I'm new here so I got confused with the route." Arthit chuckled to himself, he leaned on the teacher's table and ran his gaze across the class.
His eyes fell on the boy seated in the middle, he smirked at the boy when he saw him nervously looking back at him.
"So, let's start with introducing yourself to me. Shall we?" Arthit asked making the others nod their head.
"So, let's start from the first row."
Kongpob gulped. He's going to have a hard time concentrating on class with this teacher around.
Get a grip Kongpob! Stop this!

"Dad?" Kongpob peeked into the room after knocking on the School Director's room.
"Oh, Kong! Come in," Kerkkrai closed the file he was checking on before turning his attention to Kongpob.
"You forgot to take lunch, so mom gave it to me." Kongpob smiled widely as he handed the box in his hand to his dad.
"Thank you, buddy. I was in a hurry in the morning, had to welcome a new teacher." Kerkkrai smiled at his son as he took the box.
Kongpob raised his eyebrows, "New teacher?"
Kerkkrai nodded, "Yeah. He's your new class teacher, Mr Rojnapath. Didn't you meet him?"
Kongpob nodded, a small blush creeping into his cheeks at the mention of the teacher. "Yeah I did."
"He's a good person, he actually resigned his position as a CEO to work as a teacher. I actually know him, he's a son of my senior."
Kongpob listened attentively to his dad, feeling more curious to know about the latter. "Why did he resign?"
Kerkkrai shrugged his shoulder, "I don't think it's good that I tell you without his permission. It's their personal issues. We shouldn't put our head into it, Kong."
Kongpob pouted but nodded his head understanding what his father said.
"And oh! He's our new neighbour too." Kerkkrai added.
Kongpob smiled wide at what his father said, that's the best news he had heard so far. Maybe he can get to know his teacher more.
"Okay Dad, I'll go now. My friends are waiting for me." Kongpob waied at his dad who smiled back at him before he walked out of the room.
Kongpob walked towards his classroom where his friends were waiting for him, a small smile lingering on his lips.
"No! Give it to me! That's mine!"
Kongpob looked up to see Prae and Oak fighting over something in front of their classroom.
"What's going on here?" Kongpob looked at Aim who was eating a cookie.
Aim broke his focus on his cookie and glanced at Kongpob.
"Prae took the last cookie in the box and Oak said it was his. Do I need to explain more?" Aim raised an eyebrow.
Kongpob facepalmed, "No thanks, Aim." What kind of friends did he make?
"Prae! Oak! Stop!" Kongpob groaned when he saw Oak pulling Pear's hair. Seriously? A fight for a cookie? And they call him childish? Then what where they?
"They're a gone case, Kongpob. Want a cookie?" Aim asked as he put forward a half cookie.
Kongpob facepalmed. He walked past Aim into the empty class and to take his bag. He remembered he had another box of cookie.
"What's going on in here?"
Kongpob stopped in his tracks when he heard a familiar, deep and smooth voice.
"Mr Rojnapath," Aim stuffed the balance cookie in his mouth and waied at Arthit.
Arthit chuckled as he nodded, he looked at Kongpob who also waied at him.
"What's going on here? Why are you guys here when your friends are at the cafeteria?" Arthit enquired as he crossed his arm against his chest.
"Nothing much Mr Rojnapath, they're just being silly." Kongpob looked at Oak and Prae who was throwing glares at eachother.
"Really? Why do you have to fight then?" Arthit raised an eyebrow.
"They're fighting for Kong's cookies," Aim said. He stuck his tongue out when Prae and Oak looked at him with wide eyes.
Arthit laughed and Kongpob felt his heart skip beats.
"Really? Are Kongpob's cookies that good for you to fight for it?" Arthit scrunched his nose.
"It's from his grandma! She makes the best cookies!" Oak replied this time.
They might have only started to know Arthit for a day but the maths teacher had captured the hearts of the students with his patience and friendly nature. He had become their favourite.
"Really? Will you give me one?" Arthit turned towards Kongpob.
Kongpob gaped when he saw Arthit direct a dimpled smile to him. He stared at the latter who didn't stop smiling as he waited for an answer, Kongpob doesn't know why but the teacher was making his heart beat like crazy.
Kongpob blinked when Aim nudged him, he blushed various shades of red when he registered that he was staring at the teacher. Kongpob took out the box he had in his bag, his movements fast.
Arthit watched the boy with a smile on his face, he chuckled at the hurried movements of the latter as if he's going to disappear soon if he don't take out the cookies fast. The flushed cheeks of the other were making him look cute in his eyes.
Arthit took the cookie that Kongpob handed over to him. He inhaled the smell of the cookie, the smell reminding him of his mom's cooking.
He took a bite and moaned as the flavour melted into his taste buds. "Wow! This is really good!"
Kongpob smiled wide seeing the satisfaction on Arthit's face. It was making his insides jump.
"Do you want more?" Kongpob asked unconsciously.
Arthit moved his gaze to Kongpob, "It's okay. Share it with your friends."
Kongpob pouted unconsciously, he watched the latter advising his two idiot of friends to not fight on silly matters and learn to adjust for eachother so both of them are happy in the end.
Kongpob watched Arthit walk away. He wanted to hear that deep honey-coated voice again. He wants to see that dimpled smile. Kongpob smiled to himself when he remembered what his dad told him.
"You're creepy Kong," Prae punched Kongpob's shoulder.
Kongpob sighed, looking down at the cookie box in his hand. He just met this man for a day and he feels as if things are changing, that whenever he tries to divert his thoughts from the handsome teacher it always returns to him, at any cost.
Kongpob lazily rode his cycle to his house's compound. He wanted to take a shower and then go find out which of the houses near him is owned by Arthit Rojnapath.
He pouted thinking he could have returned earlier and searched for the teacher's house if not for his friends holding him back to watch the basketball match of the seniors after class. It will soon get dark and he's sure his mom won't allow him to go out in the dark.
He is an only child so his parents were protective of him. But loving at the same time, they had always been there for him. They're very open-minded people and always supported his decisions and gave priority to his feelings. He was lucky to have such amazing parents in his life, he wouldn't change it for anything.
Kongpob parked his cycle beside his dad's car. He hopped out of it and walked to his house. He raised an eyebrow when he heard sounds of laughter.
"Yeah, it was really good!"
There he heard that laugh again. Kongpob's eyes widened when he heard the all too familiar voice. He took hurried steps towards the living room, he saw his dad and mom sitting on a couch and talking to a person sitting opposite to them. Kongpob couldn't see the man's face since his back was facing him.
"Kong! You're home." Kongpob turned his attention to his mom.
Kongpob gaped when he saw their guest turn around to face him. He smiled awkwardly at the latter and waied. "Good evening Mr Rojnapath."
"Good evening Kongpob, it's nice to meet you again." Arthit smiled back at him.
"How's my son in class, Arthit? I hope he doesn't bother you." Rin asked teasingly making Kongpob roll his eyes.
Arthit let out a small laugh, the voice sending shivers down Kongpob's whole body.
"It's been just a day so I don't know much but he's a wonderful student. I can see that he has a bright future ahead." Arthit smiled at Kongpob's parents.
Kongpob's shoulders relaxed, feeling a proud smile making its way to his lips. It felt nice to hear Arthit praise him. He had never been a person who enjoys being given compliments, but with Arthit he felt his heart swell up in pride.
"I'll take my leave now, Thanks for having me here." Arthit stood up and waied at Kerkkrai and Rin.
Kongpob bit his lips, he roamed his eyes over Arthit. It's then he realised that Arthit was not in his official attire, the latter was just wearing grey sweat pants and a white t-shirt that hugged his figure, giving him a homely appearance. His hair looked perfectly set though.
"It's our pleasure dear, come visit another time." Rin smiled at the young man.
Arthit smiled back, "Sure Mrs Suttilak."
Arthit turned around and acknowledged Kongpob with a smile before he walked out of the house. Kongpob kept his bag on the sofa, taking a box from his bag he ran after Arthit after telling Rin that he'll be back in a short while.
"Hey!" Kongpob ran out, catching up with the latter who has already walked out of Kongpob's house's province.
Arthit turned around, his eyebrows raised when he saw Kongpob. "Hey, Kongpob."
Kongpob gave him a genuine smile, "I want to give you these."
Arthit looked down at the extending box of cookies. "Are those for me?"
Kongpob nodded his head vigorously making Arthit wanting to ruffle his hair. But he held back.
"Thank you soo much Kongpob, it means a lot." Arthit smiled, showing his dimples.
"Do you like those that much?" Kongpob asked curiously, walking along with Arthit.
Arthit nodded his head, "Yeah, it reminds me of my mom's cooking."
Kongpob smiled internally, knowing that he made a good decision in hiding a few of the cookies before giving it to his friends.
He made a mental note to himself that he'll call his grandma and learn to bake cookies after he heard what Arthit said.
"I didn't know that you're a teacher, sorry," Kongpob tried to keep up the conversation.
Arthit furrowed his eyebrows, "Sorry for what? For almost hitting my car?"
Kongpob blushed when Arthit smirked, "Yeah. I-I should have been careful."
Arthit shook his head, "It's completely fine Kong, just be careful and alert next time. I was surprised to see you in my class too. And I didn't know you were the director's son."
Kongpob rolled his eyes, "Oh please! Don't address me like that. I hate being noticed as the director's son, Mr Rojnapath."
Arthit smiled, somehow feeling proud of the teenager. "That's good."
"And Kongpob," Arthit turned to face Kongpob, both of them stopping on their tracks.
"Yes, Mr Rojnapath?"
Arthit gave a sly smile, "You can call me P'Arthit."
Kongpob's heart skipped a beat, "W-what?"
Arthit took a step closer, leaning his head down to face the latter head to head.
"Call me P'Arthit, Kongpob. We're neighbours after all, but it'll be good if you only call me that when we're not at school." Arthit smiled innocently.
Kongpob gulped feeling the elder's hot breath on his face. He nodded his head, the deep tone of the other's voice sending shivers down his spine.
"S-sure P'Arthit." Kongpob gave a nervous smile.
Arthit nodded his head, "See you at class tomorrow. Good night."
Kongpob waved his hands at the teacher, he watched the man walk inside his house and disappear from his sight.
He turned back to look at his house and then stared back at Arthit's. He would be able to see Arthit's house from his room. Arthit's house was the second one opposite to his.
He doesn't know how much times he has said this, but this man, who he met for a day was making him feel things that he never felt. The tremors he gets when he's close to him, and constant butterflies in his stomach when he sees that dimpled smile was making him giddy.
He had overheard from students that Arthit was a man in his late twenties and very much single. And Kong didn't expect that, he thought the man might be married after knowing his age. But a small part of him was happy.
Kongpob bit his lips, he could see the silhouette of the man from the window. He could see the other was talking over the phone.
Kongpob sighed, he turned on his heels and walked back home.
Feeling a little scared whether this feeling he had would hurt him in the end.
