Magnetic Love - 2
Arthit never thought that one day he'll have to choose the person with who he should share his life.
Arthit never imagined he would fall in love after his first love failure when he was in university.
Being an open gay in society is hard. It was harder when he was studying. People weren't open like today back then and even today there are still people out there who judge them. After his first love left because of what society might speak about them he never thought he'll find love.
Him being an orphan made it easier for him, no one was there to eat his head to find a partner. He never looked at anyone with the interest of falling in love until he started at work at Siam Polymer's main center. He was already working at the branches of Siam Polymer, being a hard-working and sincere employee he was liked by all his colleges and senior officials. He climbed up from the bottom and his brilliance was one to mention. And when he got transferred to the main office as the marketing manager he never expected his life to turn 360 degrees.
He met the CEO who at first sight he thought was generous and thoughtful. He wasn't like how a normal CEO would behave, he was down to earth and Arthit had many opportunities to work along with him. Both Arthit and Kyet didn't know how they turned from colleges to lovers. Arthit wasn't ready to be in a relationship while Kyet was the one who proposed his love to him.
Arthit thought a lot before he tried to give it a chance. He later came to know about Kyet's life, about his son and ex-wife. Kyet showed him photos of his son who was studying abroad. Arthit found the similarities between the father and son. Kongpob was the exact copy of his father but more on the beautiful end.
Don't underestimate him, it wasn't love at first sight for him but the more he heard stories about the boy from Kyet who wouldn't stop praising his son and the more he heard Kyet and Kongpob video call when he was present he felt something deep inside him telling him this wasn't right. That his feelings weren't right. He never allowed himself to be seen by Kongpob because he doesn't know how he'll react.
Soon one year into Kyet and Arthit's relationship, Arthit moved into Kyet's house. He doesn't know why moved in, maybe knowing that Kongpob was returning in one year or the fact that it takes less time to reach the workplace.
When Kongpob finally arrived Arthit could feel his whole world changing. He observed the younger for almost a month before confirming that Kongpob had a crush on him too. He caught the younger several times while he was staring at him either in the office or at home. The younger would shutter when he speak to him and had a hard time maintaining eye contact.
But when he started to realize that the younger was slowly starting to avoid him at any cost, it ached his heart, he wasn't thinking to the rational side and jumped into making Kong his. He doesn't want Kongpob to leave him. It ached him knowing that he was in the middle of Kyet and Kongpob, his official lover, and the person he truly loves.
He didn't have any idea how to proceed further.
And here he was, sitting in the meeting room. Adding to his already distressed mind, the ladies in the meeting room were ogling on the young man who caught his attention as well in his tight black pants and buttoned-up navy blue shirt which held tight around his body. Arthit felt his face heat up in jealousy as he watched the ladies take secret pictures of the male on the podium.
Arthit closed his eyes and tried to think with the rational side of his brain. He was woken up from his thoughts with the loud round of applause that echoed the meeting room. He stared at the widely lit, smiling figure who bowed down in front of everyone.
A smile unconsciously made its way to his lips as he watched the younger smile as if he won the world. The younger's smile could light the whole world and Arthit found himself fall more for the latter.
"Good job Kong, I'm proud of you." Arthit heard Kyet praise his son.
"It's not only me Dad, but it's also the teamwork." Kongpob smiled shyly at him. They were given a big project to handle and it was under Kongpob's team.
Arthit smiled widely at Kongpob who glanced at him, he chuckled when he saw the latter roll his eyes on him.
Arthit sighed. He stole glances at Kongpob who already felt his strong gaze yet chose to ignore him, the blush on the younger's cheeks giving him away. Arthit soon focused on the briefing Kyet was doing before the meeting ended and Arthit found himself walking towards the restroom, following Kongpob.
"How long are you going to give me that cold shoulder?" Arthit leaned against the door and locked it.
Kongpob turned back as he gasped at Arthit.
"Open the door, Sir." Kongpob glared at Arthit.
"Aw, I'm Sir to you now?" Arthit raised his eyebrows as he walked forward.
"Leave me alone! Who am I to you anyway?!" Kongpob shouted as he walked back. He gulped seeing Arthit smirk at him, he knows that expression very well.
"Really? What do you think we're Kong?" Arthit trapped Kongpob between the sink and his body.
"P'Arthit, leave me." Kongpob's voice came out like a whisper as he tried to avoid the intense gaze the elder was shooting at him.
Arthit sighed. He cupped Kongpob's face and forced him to look at him.
"I love you Kong, and you know that. Right?" Arthit's honey-coated voice made Kongpob's whole being melt but he was determined to not let go this time.
"Oh really? Having sex with me is what you call love then, sure, you did a great job P'Arthit." Kongpob scoffed.
"Kongpob." Arthit gasped.
"What? We can't go on like this P'Arthit! I'm scared! Scared that I'll no longer be a part of you! Scared over my own father thinking that he may take you away from me! I'm afraid to say I love you because I don't want to lose you even if I know I will! I-"
Kongpob's eyes widened when Arthit smashed their lips together. Kongpob punched the latter's chest, trying to push him away but Arthit only held him closer as he deepened the kiss.
Kongpob felt the tears slide down from the corner of his eyes as he finally stopped resisting. He let Arthit kiss him. He felt so helpless. He felt like a coward. He can not live the man in front of him. Arthit had been more than a lover to him. He wasn't someone who was only there for him for sex like he said earlier.
He knows how much impact Arthit had on him. Arthit had been a pillar for him to lean on when he was confused about his sexuality. After confessing his love for Arthit he wasn't completely ready for accepting the fact that he loved men, or maybe it was only Arthit.
Arthit was there for him, comforting him, telling him that it wasn't Kongpob's fault that he fell in love with a man. He helped Kongpob to come out to his friends even though he wasn't of physical help, he always supported Kongpob emotionally.
When Kongpob first told Kyet that he wants to start as a normal employ in their company Kyet was against it because the board members had so many expectations of Kongpob. They wanted to see the young man take over control. Kyet couldn't disappoint the board members. And it was Arthit who helped him with the negotiation. Arthit made Kyet see the point of the decisions Kongpob made.
All these while Arthit had a special place in Kongpob's heart. He was more of a friend and a mentor. But he's afraid, afraid that one day his happiness will be taken away from him. That one-day Arthit will leave him, for his father.
"I love you Kong, I-Just, give me some time," Arthit said as he pulled away from the kiss. Arthit bit his lips as he saw the tear stains on the younger's cheeks. He wanted to wipe then off but he felt his hands freeze as he looked at Kongpob who glared at him.
Kongpob pushed Arthit away and ran out of the restroom without speaking anything.
Arthit punched on the wall as he cursed at himself.

Kongpob let himself get consumed by the alcohol in front of him. He closed his eyes as he gulped down the 6th glass of beer.
"Woh! Woh! Cooldown friend! Cooldown! Who broke your heart?" Oak's voice made Kongpob frown.
"Really Oak? He's the one who's breaking everyone's heart! Not the other way round." Aim smacked Oak.
"Kong," Was called his friend's attention.
"What happened to you? You've been off lately. Is something bothering you?" Wad asked concerned.
Kongpob shook his head. He looked at the dance floor. He wanted to let everything out and dancing seemed the best way for now.
"Are you guys coming?" Kongpob stood up, he was a little tipsy already. If not for Aim who held him he would have tripped.
"Easy man! Easy!" Oak patted Kongpob's shoulder.
The three eyed their best friend before they let out a sigh.
"You both go ahead. Someone should be sober." Wad said as he leaned further on his chair.
Aim and Oak stood up and followed their best friend into the crowd.
Kongpob felt himself loosening up a little as he focusing on the blaring sound of music and people's laughter and shouts. He started to sway from one side to another as he gripped the beer bottle in his hand. He could hear the faint voice of his friends calling for him but he didn't give a damn about it. He made himself fall deeper into the crowd.
Kongpob closed his eyes as gulped on the beer, and that's when he felt a hand on his waist. He brushed it away but it made its way again to his waist.
"Hey, handsome. Wanna have fun?" A creepy voice whispered in his ears making Kongpob open his eyes and turn towards the man.
"I'm sorry, I'm not interested." Kongpob politely declined as he saw the strange man with a creepy grin on his lips.
"Come on babe, let's have some fun." The man pulled him closer and started to touch him.
Kongpob pushed the latter away and before he could shout at him a hand-pulled him out of the crowd.
Kongpob's heart skipped a beat when he saw the person.
"What are you doing here?" Kongpob gasped.
Before Kongpob could get an answer from the man the guy from before stepped out.
"Hey! Who are you to take him away? I was talking to him?" The guy glared at the person beside Kongpob.
"You call touching inappropriately as talking? I didn't know that." The sarcasm in the male's voice made the other man glared at him.
"I'll do whatever I want! Who are you to ask!?" The man stepped forward.
"P'Arthit! Stop!" Kongpob came in between the two men.
"Why are you shouting at me!? He should be the one who you should be angry at!" Arthit glared at Kongpob then at the man.
"Who are you to this kid, bitch!?" The man pushed Arthit's shoulder.
"Me? I'm-"
"Kong!" Aim and Oak's voice interrupted them.
"What happened here?" Aim and Oak aksed confused.
"Come Kong, let's go home." Arthit ignored the two friends and pulled Kongpob.
"Not that easy man!" The creepy man from earlier pulled Kongpob's other hand.
"Let go you fucker!" Arthit kicked the man's stomach and punched him on his gut before he pulled Kongpob outside.
Kongpob let himself get pulled by Arthit to the elder's car. Kongpob sat on the seat as he watched Arthit punch the steering. He turned his head towards the window when he felt Arthit's gaze on him. The drive to their house was filled with thick silence.
When the car was finally parked Kongpob got out of the car without glancing at Arthit.
"Kongpob!" Arthit called out when they were inside the house.
Kongpob closed his eyes and sighed.
"What?" Kongpob turned around.
Arthit glared at him. "You're asking me 'what' !? Seriously Kong?! Don't you have anything to say!?"
Kongpob scoffed. "What do you want me to say?"
"Why didn't you react to that guy?! The guy was clearly using your silence! If I wasn't there what would have happened?!" Arthit shouted. He was clearly worried about Kongpob.
"I would have managed it just fine even if you weren't there!" Kongpob shouted back.
"If you were going to handle that like what you did today, then yeah. That was a great defense!" Arthit rolled his eyes.
"What were you doing there anyway?" Kongpob raised his eyes.
"I was worried about you! It's unlikely that you go to a bar with your friends! I heard you talk over the phone. " Arthit reasoned out.
"And who are you to get worried over me?!" Kongpob glared at Arthit.
"Kong, not this again." Arthit's voice softened.
Kongpob scoffed, "Then when P!? Tell me until when are we going to ignore this!"
"Kong I told you that I lo-"
"I know you love me! I love you too P! But is there any use when you're in a relationship with my dad!?" Hot tears whelmed up in the corner of the younger's eyes.
"I'm done waiting! Hell, I don't even know what I'm waiting for! Can you even label our relationship P'Arthit?! Do I even have the right to introduce you to the world as my lover!?" Kongpob felt himself choke on his words.
Arthit walked forward but Kongpob walked back, stopping him from reaching him. Arthit felt as if knives were stabbed into his chest with every word Kongpob was speaking.
"Kong, please. I'll try to do something, I'll try to tell Kyet." Arthit felt so helpless, he didn't want to lose Kongpob.
"How many times have you repeated these same words to me P'Arthit?! Do you still want me to believe you!?" Kongpob sobbed as he stared at Arthit who he knew was breaking too. He couldn't see the latter's happy smiles, he couldn't see the dimples on the other's cheeks, he couldn't see the life in those beautiful dark orbs and he knew that Arthit was hurting too. But he had no other choice than to let it all out.
"I'm afraid you won't be there for me anymore! 8m afraid to see you with my dad! Do you know how much hurts to see the person you love being romantic to another person, that too in front of your eyes!?" Kongpob shouted.
"Kongpob please...just-just listen to me." Arthit tried to reach out for Kongpob but the younger moved away.
"Don't give me hopes P'Arthit! Because I will continue to dream of the life I want with you even though I know it's not possible! I feel so helpless! You're the first person I fell in love with! I don't know how it all started but I just-i just couldn't see a future without you anymore and I hate myself for that." Kongpob looked down on his feet as he cried.
Arthit rushed to the younger's side and cupped his cheeks, he let a soft sigh when the other didn't protest.
"I love you Kong! I love you soo damn much! I don't have the answer to why I started loving you. Do you know how I feel? Knowing that two people love me so much but I have to choose one of them?" Arthit took a deep breath.
"But if I'm given a chance I'll always choose you Kong! But I don't want to hurt your father either! But knowing that you're hurting to the core that you hate yourself I've made my mind." Arthit bites his lips when Kongpob finally looked up at him.
"Kong I-" Arthit stared at Kongpob confused as the younger pushed him away.
"D-Da-Dad." Kongpob gasped as he saw the man who came out of his bedroom.
Arthit snapped his head to the direction and gasped to see Kyet who stared at the two of them with a blank face.
"Dad-"
"P'Kyet-"
