"I can't believe our weekend is ruined! I just wanted to sleep!" Oak cried out, banging his head on his desk as the professor walked out of the class.
"Shut up! I'm getting headaches already and your screaming doesn't help!" Maprang glared, standing up as she gathered her things.
Oak puffed his cheeks, "Why are you targeting me!?"
"If you go home and sleep early you'll get enough sleep, Oak. First, stop with your late-night games." Tew pointed out.
"It's only on weekends that I get to play to my heart's content! How can you say that to me, Tew!?" Oak groaned as he walked out of the class with his friends.
"Then you suffer, my friend," Prae rolled her eyes.
"You all are not fair!"
"Can you just shut up, Oak?" Aim groaned, massaging his forehead.
Oak dramatically raised his hands in the air, "Why are you telling me to shut up!? They talked too!"
Others chuckled as they walked, laughing as they teased poor Oak further. Tew glanced to his right, his eyebrows furrowed as he stared at their ex-head hazer, who was unusually silent.
"Kong, what happened?"
Kongpob blinked, coming out of his stupor. He shook his head, giving his friend a small smile.
"Aw he's sulking because he can't go meet his P'Arthit," Prae teased, wiggling her eyebrows as Kongpob glared at her.
"That's not it!"
His group of friends burst into a peal of laughter.
"Continue being in denial, Kong. We know you too much to agree to you." May pointed a finger at Kongpob, a small smirk on her lips.
"Why are you guys like this!? Mind your own business." Kongpob glared at them, his cheeks puffed annoyed.
His steps fastened as he walked ahead from his friends who laughed at him. They started to shout their words of 'sorry' yet laughing as they caught up with their friends.
Aim placed a hand over his best friend's shoulder, smiling warmly at him.
"Don't sulk now, Kong. I'm sure P'Arthit will understand. It's just this week. You guys can meet next time. Come on, cheer up."
Aim smiled wider when Kongpob sighed and nodded his head, giving him his signature smile, though it looked strained. He knows his best friend is missing his boyfriend a lot. And he understands him well. Even though he and May practically see eachother every day he still misses her when they're not together. So he could understand how hard it's for Kongpob who could only meet with his boyfriend once or twice a week.
It still surprises him to see his best friend and the scary ex-head hazer together. He doesn't know what's wrong with himself but it's still a little too much for him to see the unique pair. But well, he had started to see other sides of his then hot-tempered head hazer after Kongpob got in a relationship with him, so he kind of gets how they complement eachother soo well in the relationship.
Kongpob smiled, waving at his friends. Promising to gather at Tew's place the next day to do their group assignment. Sighing the ex-head hazer made his way to his dorm, buying his dinner from the nearby food stall on the way.
"Stupid assignments," Kongpob grumbled under his breath as he made his way to his room. He was hating the aspect of him being a fourth-year these days. It makes him soo busy, professors feed them with assignments and group projects as if they have been starving for months without it.
Kongpob just wanted to rush to his lover's apartment, fall into the strong arms of the elder male. Have a silent dinner with the other, listen to each other's stressful thoughts. Giving their own little remarks and consoling hugs to cheer eachother up. He just wanted to lie down in bed, cocooned in each other's warmth, listening to his boyfriend's heartbeat, feeling the caresses of the elder on his hair that would lull him to sleep.
And he misses his P'Arthit soo much!
Is it too much to ask? Especially after a really hectic week?!
Kongpob's lips formed into a small pout as he placed his dinner on the table. Stripping off his maroon jacket. Ruffling his perfectly set hair, making it look as if he had woken up straight from bed.
His eyes landed on his phone when it pinged with a message. His eyes softened as he took his phone in his hands, reading the message on it.
Just got off from work. When are you coming?
Or are you already at my place?
Kongpob sighed. He checked the time, his lover's work ended earlier today. Arthit usually got out of work pretty late on Fridays. The thought that maybe Arthit might have packed up early because he was coming over made him guilty.
He was planning to call the latter after he finish showering. He didn't want to disturb the latter at work so he decided to do that.
Pressing on the call sign at the top of the screen he waited for the elder male to pick his call.
"You could have just messaged you know," the voice of the elder greeted him, making Kongpob chuckle.
"You got off from work early today, P'Arthit?"
"Yeah, I finished up things early. So I won't make you wait at my room like last time."
The younger pursed his lips, guilt taking over him.
"Uhh-Hmm... P'Arthit, I-I don't think I can make it today."
"Oh..."
"Trust me P'Arthit! I tried! I was all set to come to your place today but our professors had other plans! They assigned us group projects that we have to submit on Monday. I have to stay here to finish it up P, I'm so sorry!"
"Hey-Hey! It's ok, why are you apologizing?"
"I planned to call you after I take a shower P. I know that you would be late today so I didn't want to disturb you. Thought to call you later but-I'm sorry we can't meet up P'Arthit." The younger couldn't help but feel down, knowing his P'Arthit was looking up to meet him and got off from work early for it was making him guilty. He feels as if he did something terribly wrong.
"Hey, listen to me." Arthit's calm voice at the other end somehow made Kongpob feel at ease, how he wished he could be in those arms at the moment.
"Kong, we don't have to meet up every weekend. You are a fourth-year student and it's common that you get caught up with stuff like that."
"But-"
"Come on, I told you that it's ok, it's not important anyway."
Kongpob blinked, listening to the elder's words. He doesn't know what got into him but Arthit's words didn't sit well with him.
"So, focus on your assignment Kong. Our meet up is not important now. Don't stay up too late. I'll hang up now, going to board the bus."
The elder on the other side checked his phone when he didn't get an instant reply from his lover. He frowned by just hearing the other breathing.
"Kong? You there?"
"Huh-Yeah! Good night, P'Arthit."
"Goodnight, Kong."
Arthit frowned when Kongpob hung up on the call. Usually the other would end the call with his cheesy 'I love you' but today that didn't happen. Maybe the latter was just too tired?
He could sense from the younger's voice that he was tired. He knew that being a fourth-year student was hectic. You had a lot to do, triple the work you had to do in your second or third year. He just hopes Kongpob gets enough rest.
Good night
I love you
Arthit smiled, sending the message. He wishes it could cheer his lover up. Pocketing his phone he walked to the bus stop.
Kongpob sighed as he read the elder's message. A small smile stretched across his lips as he typed in a reply.
I love you too
Rest well, P'Arthit
Despite this Kongpob was started to doubt himself. Was it cool with Arthit to not see him every weekend? Wasn't the latter missing him as much as he was missing the elder?
The rational side of his brain was telling him that the other didn't mean it that way and the elder was just letting it go for this time. But a voice deep inside him was haunting his mind, voicing out that the latter wasn't as interested as him to meet eachother. Or why else the elder would say that it wasn't important for them to meet up?
Sometimes Kongpob just hates this voice in his head. His insecurities started to pile up.
Was Arthit tired of him? Is Arthit tired of him going to the latter's place every weekend? Was he being a burden? Did the elder want his personal space during the weekends? Was he being too blind to understand it?
Too many thoughts, too many insecurities.
Kongpob knows that Arthit loves him. Even though the elder male doesn't voice it out every single day he knows Arthit loves him. The latter wouldn't be still his boyfriend if it was the other way around. But he also knows that Arthit values his personal space a lot. That makes him think whether he was burdening the other by not giving him enough rest from his hectic week of work.
It might be his old insecurities rising at this point. He and Arthit weren't the same freshmen and third year or the sophomore and fourth-year students anymore. Arthit had graduated and started working. The latter was out in the real world now. He had a lot more responsibilities at hand.
Kongpob on the other hand was still in the safety of University life. He just has to care about classes, assignments, group projects and the internship programs. Their worlds are completely different now.
This change has brought many variations in their relationship too. Along with both of them being more mature, their lifestyle changed. They no longer were in the university dorms to visit eachother almost every single day or sleepover at each other's dorms at night.
After Arthit's graduation, the other had to move out of the dorms. Getting an apartment room for himself near his workplace later on. It's on rare occasions that Arthit could come to his dorm to stay over. It's most of the time Kongpob going over to the elder. Especially that Kongpob is now a fourth-year student.
Kongpob knows it's hard for Arthit to stay over at his dorm so he made the decision to go to the elder's apartment. He misses his boyfriend a lot. Even though a year had already passed with this same routine he couldn't help but complain in his mind about the situation. So he had decided to meet the elder and stay over at his place every weekend, to take care of his P and receive the much-needed attention of Arthit that he had missed soo much.
Arthit is his safe place, where he could be himself. Putting down all the weight over his shoulders in the presence of the elder. Despite the other's remarks of him being clingy at times, he knows his P secretly likes it. The small smiles that would threaten to spill over his lips say so too.
Arthit is already having rough days at work with a few new projects coming up, the elder had talked to him about it, speaking how hectic work was getting. At this point, after Arthit's remark of them meeting up 'wasn't important' Kongpob starts to doubt that his presence wasn't giving Arthit much time to rest. That he might be burdening Arthit further by talking out the measly things that were tiring him out at University.
Even though Arthit didn't show any disagreement or uncomfortability when Kongpob stays over, he very well knows the elder male is good at hiding things in fear of hurting the younger's feelings most of the time. So, maybe Arthit was doing the same now.
At this point Kongpob starts to think that he shouldn't always bother his lover by staying over at his place every weekend. He doesn't want Arthit to get annoyed by his visits. Just like he had overthought, maybe Arthit want his personal space and it's not good for him to pay a visit every time
And that's exactly what he was going to do now. He'll keep his distance. He doesn't want his P'Arthit to get worked up than how tired the elder male might be with all the work he had to do in his office.
****
Arthit checks his phone for the umpteenth time. Sighing as he doesn't see any messages from the person he yearns from. He goes back to working on the computer but his eyes occasionally falls on his phone.
"It won't pop up with what you're expecting for it to do if you stare at it like that Mr Sun."
"Huh?"
Arthit blinks, looking up at his co-worker who sat opposite to him. Tod raised his eyebrows at him, pointing at his phone.
"You can make the first move if you want."
Arthit glanced at his phone. His lips pursed as he felt an itching in his fingers to take the device in his hand.
"N-No, it's fine."
"What happened to you? You have been like this for a few days now. Usually, you used to be cheerful on Fridays."
"It's nothing to worry about. Leave it," Arthit dismisses his co-worker's concern for him. Taking a deep breath he continues to focus on his work.
"Why don't you take a break with everyone else? Give yourself some time to clear your mind." Tod offers a soft smile.
Arthit looked up, his eyes lingering on the Iced coffee Tod was sipping on. A sigh escaped his lips.
"And why are you not taking a break? Everyone is at the cafeteria anyway."
Tod shrugged his shoulders, "I'm good here. And I have work to complete."
Arthit narrowed his eyes at the other male. He shook his head, chucking.
"Is it...trouble in paradise?" Tod tilted his head, not sure if he should be asking that but his co-worker was definitely pulling off those vibes.
"Uh! No!"
Tod rolled his eyes, the instant reply gave it all out.
"You know, sometimes instead of waiting for the other to speak out or make the first move it's better we take the initiative. We don't know what might be going on in the other's head so it's better we confront them at the earliest."
Arthit bit his inner cheek, staring at Tod who nonchalantly sipped on his coffee. The latter didn't even look up at him as he gave him advice, he was just being casual. And Arthit is grateful for that. And maybe Tod is right, he should make the first move. And he has to know what made his lover change suddenly.
"Thanks, man. I needed that," Arthit gave a genuine reply, directing a smile at the other male who returned it with a nod of his head.
They worked in silence the very next second, the other co-workers who had taken a break walked back into the office room. The once silent room started to get filled with chatterings.
In the midst of it all Arthit glanced at his phone. Taking a deep breath he took the device to his hand, opening the chatbox to message his boyfriend.
The last message he had got from the younger was in the morning, greeting him with his usual good morning and a take care message. It's already 4 in the evening now.
Message me when your classes are done
Arthit typed in before he could reconsider his decision he pressed the sent button. Sighing be placed it back on the desk. He doesn't want to disturb the other in case he was in class. It's Friday and he knows the younger male has extra classes today.
He knows that he won't be able to concentrate on work but he had to force himself to do that despite his mind filling with the junior's image.
Kongpob had been acting strange. If his assumptions are right it was after the last time when the younger wasn't able to come to stay with him for a weekend, that this started to happen.
Ever since that conversation, the younger seemed soo.... cautious? He doesn't know how to put that into. Kongpob had started to ask him beforehand whether he should come over or not over the weekend. And on some weeks Kongpob won't even ask anything, and Arthit being himself he doesn't ask the younger too. Concerned of the other being tired from college work and projects. Most of their weekends now just end up in video or voice calls. Which most of the time Arthit had to initiate.
He doesn't know what happened to the younger male. It wasn't like his Kongpob at all. That cheeky brat would be the first one to disturb him with his silly calls and surprise visits to his apartment room. That dashing smile and endless teasing. And now Arthit misses it a lot.
Especially after a hectic day or week, he just wishes to go back to his room and come face to face with his lover who would either be working on his assignment on the laptop on the bed or dozing off with the said laptop on his lap.
It was moments like these that warmed Arthit's heart. Finally being able to be close to the younger male. Cuddle with him, without any words said in between. It was just them, in their own haven. Arthit would feel like he was home.
Despite these, he doesn't want to burden the younger male either. He knows how tired Kongpob might be as he was a fourth-year student now. He had gone through the same phase so he understands how it is. He doesn't want Kongpob to get more tired than the latter might be already by travelling to his place most of the time.
Arthit feels guilty that he can't go over at the younger's place as much as the younger comes over at his. His work most of the time doesn't allow him to do that. He already gets back home extremely late on Fridays and it's on rare occasions that he would turn back to his room early. And not to mention that Kongpob would already be there in his room, comfortable in his t-shirt and shorts, working on the laptop when the elder reaches home.
Kongpob most of the time would already be coming over at his place so he didn't have any other thoughts of him going over to the younger's.
"Arthit? Arthit! Your phone is ringing."
Arthit blinked, looking to the side, meeting the concerning gaze of his senior, P'Earth. The ringing of his phone finally gets through his ears.
"Oh! Thanks, P'Earth!" He gave a sheepish smile to the elder, taking his phone, a wide smile immediately stretching across his lips as he saw the caller ID.
"Excuse me!" Standing up he immediately made his way outside the room.
Earth blinked, confused at the sudden change of mood of the other.
"What was that?" Earth gazed at the direction the younger had disappeared.
Tod could only laugh as he shrugged his shoulders.
As soon as Arthit was out of the office room he answered the call.
"P'Arthit, you okay? What happened?" The concerned voice of the other male greeted him.
"Oi! Why do you think something happened?"
"You usually don't message in the middle of your work hour, P. I thought something happened. Are you okay?"
Arthit chuckled, leaning on the wall. He was standing at the back of the office building. He knows he'll get his privacy there.
"Nothing Kong, I just wanted to know whether you're coming over tonight."
There was a moment of silence from the other end and that made Arthit concerned. His Kongpob would have immediately answered that question, in the most enthusiastic way possible.
"D-Do you want me to come over, P'Arthit?"
Arthit frowned, the uncertainty in his boyfriend's voice wasn't sitting well with him at all.
"What do you mean by that? Do you think I don't want you to come over?"
"P'Arthit! N-No! It's not like that- it's just that-just -I..."
"Kong," Arthit could hear the heavy breathing from the other side. He doesn't know why but he felt a pang in his heart at how Kongpob was behaving.
"Are you tired? Had a bad day?" He asked softly.
"I-Kind of, P."
The elder sighed, "Ok then. Take rest, you don't have to come over this time."
"Okay."
What was wrong with his boyfriend? Arthit couldn't believe that the other just gave in like that. Kongpob normally would have found excuses to come meet him.
"Will call you at night. Bye, Kong."
"Bye P'Arthit."
And the call ended like that. The things that Arthit originally wanted to ask felt unsaid. He made his way back to his office, dazed and in thoughts. Taking a seat in front of his computer he gave small smiles to Earth who glanced at him when he sat down. His eyes were soon plastered on the PC yet his mind was rewinding on the conversation he and his boyfriend had.
He started to analyse the sequence of the changes in his boyfriend. From the beginning to the end. He couldn't grasp what was wrong. Did he do something that might have upset the younger male? He doesn't think he did, not that he knows of.
Everything began after wasn't able to come over to his place the first time. Did he say something during that time that pissed his lover? He doesn't remember. He only remembered consoling the other that it was ok and that he didn't have to come visit him this time. That it wasn't important for them to-
"Oh shit!"
Arthit's eyes widened. Realisation dawning on him. Those words he had told the younger weeks ago, now replaying in his head, sounded soo unpleasant somehow.
"Arthit, you okay?" Tod asked from the other side, breaking the other male from his thoughts.
Arthit looked around, a deep blush of embarrassment creeping up his face as he noticed everyone's stare on him, in concern.
A nervous laugh left his lips, "Hah-Sorry, I-I was just thinking something."
"You've been thinking a lot lately, N'Arthit," Somoh wiggled her eyebrows at the younger male.
Arthit could only give the other a shy smile before he focused on his work once again.
This time determined to finish his work as soon as possible. He has already set his mind to something and he won't be backing off now. He knows that they really need to have a 'talk'.
"This is tiring!" Kongpob couldn't help but whine as he leaned on his chair. Stretching his back. It has been more than an hour already since he had been sitting in front of the laptop, typing down his assignment.
He glanced at his phone, his fingers tempting him to reach out and call the elder male who he had been missing dearly. But he settled in with a sigh, averting his gaze from the object.
"Don't disturb him," Kongpob muttered to himself. Closing his eyes as he tried to push away the images of his lover, that dimpled smile, dark hazel eyes, the tempting warmth the other emits. As much as he was trying to push the thought away, it came back to him in another ten folds.
The younger shook his head, getting up from his chair as he walked towards his mini-fridge. Taking out the iced coffee he had stored it in. Sipping onto it, he leaned against the counter, his eyes gazing at his balcony, towards the building opposite to his.
The room that once was occupied by the ex-head hazer, his boyfriend. A chuckle left his lips, time passed in a flash. It felt as if it was yesterday when Arthit pulled him for a kiss at the bridge. Giving him the needed answer for their future. He wished they could still be that third-year senior and freshman.
Kongpob blinked, his attention turned to his door hearing a knock on it. Within a second another set of knocks was heard.
He placed his drink on the counter before making his way towards the door. Confused as to who was there at the hour, past 8.30 at night.
"Coming!"
He called out before he twisted the keys, unlocking the door. Opening it with a sigh.
"Hey."
Kongpob gasped, staring at the man in front of him. His lips parted in surprise, heartbeat rising in his chest. He blinked, praying that this wasn't a dream.
Staring right into the dark hazel eyes, the dimpled smile directed at him, Kongpob felt his toes curl.
"P-P'Arthit."
Arthit tilted his head, smiling at his gobsmacked lover. Chuckling he adjusted his office bag over his shoulder before stretching his hand forward towards the younger.
"Here, for you."
Kongpob's eyes softened as he gazed at Arthit's hand, his insides melting at the sight of a beautiful white rose. With shaky hands he reached to hold it. He looked up to see Arthit's smile widen as he took the flower in his hand.
"I saw a boy selling it near the bus stop, it's your favourite flower too. So I bought it to make your day better."
The younger couldn't get in control anymore, his boundaries broke as he launched forward, into the arms of his lover who caught him without a second thought.
Kongpob buried his face into the latter's neck, inhaling the familiar musky scent, blended with a tint of sweat. It smelled like his Arthit, his safe place. Uneven breaths left his lips as he tried to compose himself, trying to not break down. Focusing on the soothing hands on his back, he didn't even notice that Arthit had walked them in, locking the door behind with his free hand. They stood in the middle of the small room. In each other's arms.
"I missed you," Kongpob muttered, his fingers clutched onto Arthit's shirt.
"Really?" The elder's fingers made soothing circles on his back.
Kongpob hummed, biting his lower lip, taking deep breaths through his nose.
"Then why didn't you come over? Why didn't you message me?"
The younger gasped, his eyes opened in a split second. He thought the elder didn't notice, thinking Arthit was relaxed without his presence to think about it. The lack of reply from him made Arthit pull away from the hug.
"Why Kongpob?" The smile on the elder's lips vanished as he stared at his lover.
The younger couldn't look into Arthit's eyes. And it made Arthit frustrated.
"It's nothing P'Arthit. I know you're busy and all so I just..." Kongpob started to ramble on, touching on with his words everywhere but the crucial point. The younger didn't even know what he was talking about as he walked away. Placing the white rose over the table, not wanting it to be ruined with his tight hold.
"Don't lie, Kongpob." Arthit walked forward, standing behind the younger. His jaw clenched as he tried to calm himself.
Kongpob flinched, the authoritative glint to the elder's voice reminding him of the head hazer. He sighed, turning around. He was very wrong in thinking that Arthit wasn't noticing.
"I-I wanted to give you space," a mumble left his lips. The clench in his chest and blank eyes staring at him made it hard to choose words.
"And why did you think I needed space?"
The younger could feel his eyes burning, holding back his tears. His lips quivered. He wasn't one who showcases his weakness, there aren't many occasions that he had cried, he preferred to stand strong. Find strength in his weaknesses but sometimes it wasn't the matter.
"It wasn't important to you, s-so I thought-"
"Kong, you got me wrong." Arthit reached out to hold the younger's hand in his. His eyes softened when a small sniffle left his lover's lips.
"I might not always voice out that I love you like you do Kong. But that doesn't mean I love you any less, that I don't miss you or doesn't yearn for your presence."
Kongpob looked up at the warm hazel eyes, the assurance emitting from the elder was calming his racing heart but his thoughts, his insecurities were all over the place.
"I know P'Arthit, but-but you said it wasn't important for us to meet up. I-I..." The younger gulped.
"I-You were getting tired of me visiting you every time. You needed some space to relax away from work. I thought I was hindering it. I know how much you value your personal space."
Arthit patiently listened to his lover, letting the other have the chance to get it all out of his chest. And Arthit is more than glad that he decided to take the step rather than waiting for the other to speak out. Kongpob was just burying himself in uncertainties and what-ifs. And Arthit doesn't blame him, he had those feelings and when he was down Kongpob was there for him. Now it was his turn to assure the younger male of what they are, about the love that they carry.
"Kong, listen to me..." Arthit cupped the younger's cheeks between his palms. Dabbing over the soft skin.
"I'm sorry that I made you feel that way. Sorry that I made you feel as if those actions didn't mean anything to me. My words were careless. I should have been more careful with using my words. I was worried about you, I didn't want you to get tired, Kong." Arthit sighed, feeling guilty of making Kongpob think all the what-ifs that he hadn't been even having the slightest thought of.
"I didn't want you to get tired, I'm worried that you won't get enough rest if you keep coming over to my place. I know how hectic it is to be a fourth year, you have a lot of works to do. It tired you out in the end, even now I can see how tired you're, Kong."
Arthit caressed his thumb under Kongpob's eyes. He could clearly see the dark circles under the younger's eyes, the tiredness in his body language. This was the reason he didn't want Kongpob to travel unnecessarily.
"But-but I miss you, I just want to spend some time with you. You make me feel at ease, P'Arthit," Kongpob mumbled, sniffling.
Arthit smiled, feeling the butterflies in his stomach at the innocent declaration by the younger male.
"I know, Kong. And I, myself wants to be with you, spend time with you but life is not always fair. We have to come over such situations. I'm not saying that we shouldn't meet eachother at all. We can meet, when any of us are free and not tired of work/studies. Or we can fix dates to spend time together. But please don't risk heath for that."
Kongpob felt soft and overwhelmed. He was soo wrong in thinking about Arthit not valuing their moments, that he might be tired of him. He felt blessed and lucky, to have a lover who looked past his own needs to make sure he wasn't risking his heath.
"Loving doesn't always need both to be close 24/7. It doesn't need a declaration of love every passing minute. Sometimes it's more than that. That's what a handsome junior of mine had once said." Arthit smiled, gazing at his lover who had a soft smile on his lips as he nodded.
Kongpob couldn't help the sob that escaped his lips, knowing Arthit had taken his words to heart. He remembers how Arthit had once got insecure about his expressiveness, the elder wasn't too great in it while Kongpob was the exact opposite. Arthit had feared, felt insecure whether he was enough for the younger. And Kongpob has assured the latter with the exact words Arthit had told him today knowing how Arthit's character was then, he didn't want to pressure his lover. Arthit was a man of actions and Kongpob interpreted it well, he could feel the love behind it every single time.
"It's more than the feeling itself. It's of little moments, of care and adjustment. Most importantly it's of understanding one another. Right?" The elder male wiped the younger's tears away.
Arthit stumbled a step back as Kongpob wrapped his arms around him. Engulfing him in a tight hug.
"Thank you, P'Arthit. And I-I'm sorry, I was insecure."
Arthit smiled, caressing Kongpob's hair he let the other relax in his arms.
"It's completely fine, Kong. We all have insecurities. But next time, talk to me, ok? I was worried."
The elder felt his lover nod against his shoulder. As they pulled away their eyes locked, warm smiles on their lips. Inching closer lips brushed against eachother, feeling the warmth of the kiss as they nibbled softly. Taking in the feeling of being in each other's arms, kissing each other's lips, regaining the feeling they had missed soo much.
Kongpob's hands threaded into the brown locks of the elder, caressing them as he tilted his head for better access. It was sweet and slow, just taking in the taste of eachother, the warmth and assurance that emitted from it.
Lips made a small noise as they pulled away, eyes on each other's lips they pecked once again before Arthit stepped away, letting out a deep puff of air making the younger chuckle. Aw to see those flushed cheeks!
"I'm all sweaty, better take a shower," Arthit whined, yet a small smile lingering on his lips as he watched his lover shake his head, smiling.
His eyes trailed on the younger as Kongpob took out a fresh set of nightclothes for the elder male and the towel he had kept for Arthit. Walking back to the elder he handed the clothes to him.
"Did you have dinner P?" Kongpob asked, rubbing his tear-stained cheeks.
"Uh-no," Arthit gave a sheepish smile making the younger roll his eyes.
"Good that I didn't eat as well or you would hear it from me for not eating in time."
"I just wanted to get to you fast," a small pout formed on the elder's lips and Kongpob found his heart skip a few beats.
"Go take a shower. I'll try to cook something light for us."
Ever since he started dating Arthit he had tried to step up his cooking skills. Even though it wasn't a lot but he had reached a point where he could make a decent meal without burning the kitchen down. And thanks to the elder male he had his mini-fridge stocked up with necessary supplies.
"No, don't. You look tired. Order something online, it's better that way." Arthit replied nonchalantly as he walked towards the bathroom.
But the small action that showed the latter's concern made Kongpob beam, the smile on his face widened. Feeling a warmth seep into him.
"Thank you, P'Arthit." He mumbled, even though Arthit couldn't hear him.
The sound of the shower running made Kongpob shake his head, smiling. He walked back to his desk, taking his phone to order their dinner. Wiping away his tears and runny nose he took a deep breath. Knowing that they were in this together, that they understood eachother better than themselves was all he needed.
They loved eachother, it might be in different forms that they showcase it for the other but in the end, they know deep inside. It was all love and more than that. Of comfort and understanding.
