Friends? - 2

"You're lucky that he turned out to be the way he did. Imagine finding a completely different person from your imagination. Imagine if he was dark-skinned or fat, you would have been doomed."

Arthit shook his head, chuckling hearing his friend's words. Glancing at the latter who was examining the photo which was in his hand that Arthit had given to the latter.

"Bright, do you only go by physical appearances?"

Bright shrugged his shoulders, keeping the photograph on Arthit's desk, he pointed out, "Isn't that what you're doing? You're not even looking at the other one."

Arthit raised an eyebrow, "Who? Kong?"

"Kong, huh?" Bright teasingly smiled making the other chuckle.

"It's Kongpob, we call him Kong. He's our childhood friend. Weir's best friend."

Bright nodded his head, his lips forming into an 'O'. He and Arthit had been close since their University days and now working under the same company too. He's one of the few Thai friends Arthit had in London.

It's been a week since Arthit had been back from Thailand but he wasn't able to talk with the latter because he had to go to another city with his team for a meeting with some clients.

And as soon as Bright returned to the office he immediately made his way to Arthit's cabin and asked him about how his meeting with his 'lover' had gone.

"You really had a perfect childhood, Arthit. Weir on one side and Kongpob on the other, two handsome men on your right and left."

"Bright!" Arthit glared at the latter but Bright being Bright he laughed it off.

"So tell me, how was he? This childhood friend of yours?" Arthit had already told him about Weir so now he wanted to know about this other man.

A wide smile bloomed on Arthit's face and Bright immediately noticed how his face glowed.

"He knows me soo well, Bright. He knows what I like to eat, he loves music as I do. We share many things in common. He's such a precious person." Arthit sighed contently, "Kong is just great."

"Kong?" Bright gasped playfully, "I thought you were talking about Weir."

Arthit blinked, "What do you mean?"

Bright shrugged his shoulders, "It seems like Kong is the one who you fell for. You both seem more comfortable with eachother than you and Weir."

"Just an opinion," Bright added when he noticed how conflicted Arthit looked. Well, he wasn't joking when he said that, he couldn't see the excitement or comfortability in Arthit when he talked about Weir earlier but when he described Kongpob he could see those emotions in him.

Arthit shook his head, chuckling. "True that I'm comfortable with Kong but that doesn't mean I'm in love with him. Weir is just shy and reserved, Kong told me to give him some time."

Bright nodded his head, not very convinced and Arthit could see that. Before the latter could clarify further the office phone on his table rang.

"I'll go now then, have work to do! See you for lunch!" Bright stood up, smiling at the latter as he left the cabin.

With a sigh Arthit nodded his head, next taking the phone call. He talked to the person on the other side about work.

"Yes, Alex. I'll have the e-mail sent to you soon." Arthit turned to his computer already taking the file to send it to his colleague.

"Ok. Yeah, bye." Sighing Arthit placed the phone back on the table. He made sure he had sent the email before leaning on the chair.

He doesn't know why but his mind was suddenly stressed. And he didn't want to admit that what Bright told was what made him feel disturbed.

Sighing Arthit closed his eyes, surprisingly the image that came into his mind was Kongpob's. The smiling face of the man, adorably giggling at him. The latter's voice ringed in his ears.

Close your eyes and think of me. I'll be there.

A chuckle left Arthit's lips, he suddenly misses Kongpob. And the thought was weird, he never felt this way. He should be thinking about Weir but instead, here he is thinking about the other male.

Sure he does miss Weir, he really does but Kongpob was the one who took the spot in his mind the majority of the time and he doesn't know why. Maybe because Kongpob is his closest friend now, the one who could understand him even without him uttering a single word.

"How do you do this, Kong?" Arthit mumbled to himself, shaking his head he sat straight. Trying to his thoughts in order. He is at the office at the moment and he should probably focus on his work rather than overthinking.

But before he could restart his work something caught his attention. Arthit's eyes widened as he inhaled the smell that reached his sense. It was faint but he could smell it.

"Isn't that...Pad Thai?" Gasping Arthit stood up excitedly.

"Did Bright bring it?" That was the only possible reason he could come up with as it was the first time he had smelt the dish in their office. Maybe his friend had brought it for lunch.

Arthit makes his way towards Bright's desk, a minute's walk from his own but as soon as the other's cabin came into his view his eyes widened. There he saw Bright talking excitedly to a man who was way too familiar to him.

"Kong!?"

The two men looked up in his direction.

"There! The man you have been waiting for," Bright chuckled as he nudged Kongpob who smiled widely.

"Hey Arth- Oh!"

A giggle escaped Kongpob's lips when Arthit rushed to him, pulling him for a tight hug. Kongpob wanted to hug the latter but both of his hands were occupied so he glanced at Bright who understood what he wanted. After Bright took the two things in his hands Kongpob hugged Arthit back, a wide smile splitting his face.

"I didn't know you missed me soo much."

Arthit chuckled into the hug, "I did. I missed my friend."

Kongpob nodded his head, patting the other's shoulder before they pulled away. The surprise on Arthit's face was still evident that it made Kongpob laugh.

"You won't believe this but I was just thinking about you!" Arthit couldn't help but exclaim, he didn't care if anyone was staring at him as if he was a kid all that mattered to him was his childhood friend standing in front of him.

Kongpob smirked, "Remember what I told you? If you miss me, just close your eyes, think of me and I'll be there. and here I'm."

Arthit chuckled as he nodded his head.

"You both are really making me feel as if I'm third-wheeling."

Bright's voice brought their attention back to their surroundings. Arthit glared at his friend who smirked back while Kongpob could feel his face heating up at the remark.

"Well, why are you here? You could have just called me." Arthit asked Kongpob who sheepishly smiled at him.

"Well," Kongpob took the box and the bottle that was placed on Bright's desk and raised them towards Arthit.

Arthit's eyes widened, "Oh my! You brought this for me!?"

"Well, I don't know anyone else whose favourite foods are Pad Thai and Pinkmilk."

"God! You're awesome, Kong! I got the smell of Pad Thai so I thought it might be Bright who brought it, I was coming to ask him." Arthit's eyes were nearly twinkling as he took the food box and glass bottle from Kongpob.

"I don't know why but you two best friends are making me feel single, go away from me." Bright sighed disappointedly making Arthit reach forward and smack his head.

"Don't mind him." Arthit shrugged at Kongpob who laughed at him, nodding his head. "Let's go to the cafeteria."

Kongpob waved goodbye to Bright before he followed Arthit. They took seats at the furthest corner of the cafeteria, though only a few people were occupying the space.

"When did you reach London?" Arthit asked as soon as they stelled down.

"I got my interview letter from London University two days ago. I just landed yesterday night."

"And you didn't tell me?" Arthit gasped dramatically making Kongpob laugh.

"I do have your number but I thought I will surprise you. I asked uncle to give me the office address." He wiggled his eyebrows making the other chuckle.

Kongpob bit his lips as he watched Arthit open the box and excitedly use the chopsticks inside it to taste his favourite dish. He was nervously waiting for the other's reaction.

Arthit closed his eyes, moaning as the flavour burst into his mouth. Everything was just perfect, with the right amount of spiciness as he likes it.

"Where did you get this from? It doesn't taste like the ones we get it here." Arthit asked after he swallowed, taking another bite of the dish.

"Well," Kongpob scratched the back of his neck. "I made it in the morning to bring to you."

Arthit's eyes widened, feeling a flutter inside him."You did that for me?"

Kongpob shyly nodded his head, the way Arthit was staring at him made his cheeks turn red.

"No wonder it tastes exactly like the ones we get in Thailand! Thank you, Kong!"

"No mention." Kongpob sighed in relief seeing how Arthit was enjoying his food. He couldn't help but giggle when the latter excitedly opened the bottle of pink milk and savour the drink.

Kongpob silently watched Arthit, a soft smile playing on his lips. It was his first time seeing Arthit in office attire, in a suit. And he couldn't help but praise the guy's looks in his head. Arthit was just soo perfect. In every sense.

"What's with Papa and Mom? they don't seem to want to return. Are they planning to settle down in Thailand again?" Arthit broke the silence between them, chuckling at his own words.

He had called his parents several times asking them when they'll return but it seems like they had no intention of coming back to London.

"Well, uncle keeps postponing the tickets."

Arthit nodded, both of them chuckling. Sometimes their parents act like kids.

"By the way, when is your interview?"

"Tomorrow."

"And then?"

Kongpob rested his face between his palms, "Well, I'm thinking of staying for a week. Do some shopping, maybe?"

A bright smile decorated the other's pale face, "You can do shopping later! You're in my town and I'm going to show you around."

"I'll show you the London city." Arthit winked at Kongpob who laughed, nodding his head. The enthusiasm in Arthit's demeanour made Kongpob feel excited too, for the first time he felt like he was the only one in Arthit's attention.

And even though that would only last for a matter of few days, he would gladly take it all. Though it would hurt in the end. For now, everything was just soo perfect. Even though they're just friends.

Arthit waited patiently below the stairs to the university entrance. Waiting for Kongpob to get done with his interview. He was unconsciously nervous about the latter, he wanted Kongpob to get the spot and pursue his ambition.

He had taken a week off from work to accompany Kongpob in London. He wanted to show the place he had grown up to his friend. Kongpob was always there to guide him around back in Thailand so he wants to do the same for him here.

He had gone to pick up Kongpob in the morning, at the hotel the other was staying at. Though the other had insisted that he didn't have to do that the previous night Arthit picked him up anyway. They're gonna spend the day together anyway.

Arthit perched up in anticipation as he watched Kongpob walk out of the university entrance. Dressed in a sky blue dress shirt and white pants. He looked back at him expectantly when their eyes met, he raised his eyebrows when Kongpob didn't react. A blank look on his face.

He watched nervously as Kongpob walked down the stairs, finally standing in front of him.

"What happened? How was the interview?" Arthit asked anxiously.

Kongpob took a deep breath before looking up at the taller male. His controlled expression scared Arthit but before the latter could ask further he found Kongpob smiling wide, jumping in front of him holding his file.

"I got it, Arthit! I got it!"

Arthit's eyes widened, and a wide smile spread across his lips as he gasped in disbelief. He couldn't help but feel extremely excited, making him pull Kongpob in for a tight hug.

"Oh god! You scared me there, Kong! I'm soo proud of you!"

Kongpob smiled wide, hugging the other back. Butterflies in his stomach. It felt surreal to feel Arthit getting excited, for him. He didn't think the other would react that way, being soo happy.

"This calls for a celebration!"

Kongpob laughed as they pulled away, staring at an excited Arthit. Getting to see Arthit soo excited for him was something that warmed his heart.

Kongpob never thought he would love taking long walks in the bustling city, even though it was London. It wasn't of his nature to be in crowded places. He loved his privacy, he prefered to be in his room and read or listen to music. Maybe go to parks or something. He loved the peace those places bring. He was just hoping to go to the tourist spots in London, to see beautiful scenery. He loved calm places.

But as Arthit dragged him around the busy streets, showing him the crafts of the street he couldn't help but find it soo exciting. Especially since it was Arthit who was taking him.

Arthit looked soo excited as he introduced him to the street shows of the city. The interesting spots of the busy place. Even if Kongpob was standing in the middle of the crowd as he watched Arthit animatedly talk to him, all excited, he felt as if it was only him and Arthit there. No one else.

The fact that Arthit had been taking his breath away with just how he looked, in a casual beige polo full sleeve shirt and black slacks.

At that very moment, despite everything, it was just them. A moment Kongpob had yearned for. Spending such quality time together with Arthit.

"Hey!" Arthit stopped in his tracks. Making Kongpob stop beside him.

"What?"

"You like to go to church, right?!" Arthit excitedly asked as he turned to face the other.

Kongpob gasped, nervously smiling at the taller man he nodded his head.

"Well then! I'll show you something!" Arthit winked at Kongpob making the other raise an eyebrow at the other.

Kongpob was surprised the next second when Arthit grabbed his hand and intertwined their fingers before he proceeded to cross the road.

Kongpob eyed their locked hands, smiling softly. Completely unaware of where Arthit was taking him. When he noticed their pace getting slower he looked up from distracting his focus on their hands. His eyes widened when he saw a church.

He looked up at Arthit but the other shrugged his shoulders before pulling him with him to step inside the empty church.

"Here we are! What do you think?"

Kongpob stood rooted in his place. Eyes wide as he looked around.

"Arthit, this church is soo beautiful," Kongpob's lips parted in awe as they walked inside. It looked beautiful from the outside too but the place looked more enchanting from the inside.

Each carving on the walls and the way the pastel colour gave out a sense of peace and warmth was overwhelming him. Maybe it was because it was a routine for him to go to church every week which got hindered by his journey to London that made him feel that way.

"I know right! I come here every Sunday." Arthit smiled wide.

"Oh, so this is that church." Kongpob absentmindedly voiced out before he knelt, joining his hands.

"What do you m-" Arthit bit his lips when he found Kongpob's eyes closed as he prayed. He knelt beside the latter and started praying though a question lingered in his heart.

What did Kongpob mean by saying that? Did he know that I used to go to church?

Arthit couldn't focus on his prayers, though his eyes were closed, looking as if he was praying but he was confused. Maybe he is just overthinking. Maybe Weir might have told Kong about his visit to the chur-

Arthit stiffened the next second, his eyes snapped open as his lips parted with a gasp. A beautiful melody, that was way too familiar for him echoed in his ears.

He snapped his gaze towards the man beside him who still had his eyes closed, a small smile on his lips. Arthit didn't know what to do or what to say. His lips quivered and his eyebrows furrowed. His hands dropped on either side as they formed into a fist.

Arthit listened as the music continued to be sung by Kongpob who looked oblivious to the world. Calm and serene. And Arthit observed him. His heart clenching.

Arthit bit his lips when he heard a low gasp escape Kongpob's lips, soo low that if he didn't focus on the other he would have missed it. He watched how realisation dawned on Kongpob, he spotted the other's face scrunch up in a slight panic before it turned normal. Trying to act as if nothing had happened, Arthit wanted to laugh at that act.

Kong, why didn't you ever e-mail me?"

If I had, would you have replied to me as you replied to Weir?"

Art? Weir loves art too!

How did you know my favourite food?

Uh- Weir told me.

15 years wasn't long enough.

Finding someone special isn't easy, Arthit.

Love story, is this book yours?

Yeah, it's- I mean, no. I just got it from the library.

Maybe you didn't understand what matters to the heart.

Arthit could feel his head burning up with all the sudden revelation. He finally understood, the bond that he and Kongpob shared. The way Kongpob understood him was way better than Weir, the man he thought he had shared everything and anything did.

The book 'Love Story' that he saw on Kongpob's shelf, the crucifix on his wall. The way Kongpob loved music same as he did. Him knowing every detail of his even before Weir could point it out to him.

Arthit side-eyed Kongpob when the latter opened his eyes, smiling softly as he got up. Turning around to leave. He could point out the tensed form of the other. If he wasn't hiding anything from him why did the latter look in a hurry to leave?

There was only one way to find it out. And Arthit did just that.

Without a second thought, he started to hum the same tune that Kongpob did, and he watched as the familiar melody made Kongpob stop in his tracks. Arthit stood up, his hands clenched into a whitening grip as he watched those shoulders shake in tension.

Arthit continued to sing the song that was only known to him and Weir, or so he thought. Now it all made sense. It made sense now why Weir couldn't recognise the melody when he sang it. There wasn't even a flash of recognition on Weir's face back then but now Kongpob seemed more than affected by hearing it. And singing it too. The latter had just sung it a few minutes back, stopping it absurdly as if he had realised his mistake.

Arthit could feel his voice cracking as his eyes whelmed up with tears. He soon found Kongpob raise his hand and cover his lips, his back still facing him.

"Weir doesn't even know this tune, Kong. But you-you-"

Arthit closed his eyes, trying to control the anger and frustration that was rising in him.

Kongpob could only gasp, realising it was too late to correct himself and that no matter what he said, this cannot be changed. After all, according to Arthit, the melody was something only heard between him and Weir.

"I understand now, the music posters in your room, the exact ones that I love to hear. The crucifix on your wall, your Sunday visits to church every week. I didn't think a lot back then when I found out you visit the church every weekend back at home. But now I realise I should have."

"And the copy of 'Love story' on your shelf, you lied to me about that too. You know my favourite food yet you lied about it to me. You know every single detail about me and then covering up telling it was all Weir who told you! You lied to me Kong!"

Kongpob closed his eyes, tears running down his cheeks as he shivered at the other's outburst.

"Weir knows nothing, nothing about me, about anything. But you do."

Arthit scoffed, sniffling."Weir isn't different from his letters as I thought. Weir is different from your letters!"

"It was you, It was you all this time."

"I-I have to go," Kongpob gulped the lump in his throat before he stepped forward to walk away but a gasp soon left him when Arthit absurdly turned him around.

"Answer me, Kong! Why did you lie to me? Why did you pull such an act?!"

Kongpob tried to suppress his sobs as Arthit shook him, the mix of emotions in the latter made Kongpob feel bad. Pathetic for bringing them into such a situation.

"Why did you play this cruel joke on me!? Why did you play with my heart!? Just why?"

Kongpob blinked. A ragged breath left his lips as he stared at Arthit. Whose face was flushed red, eyes looking back at him.

"I'll recognize you the instant I see you, your image is in my heart." Kongpob gulped seeing Arthit's eyes turn wide, "Isn't that what you wrote?"

The grip on Kongpob's hand loosened up as Arthit was left speechless. His lips quivered as he stared at Kongpob, the other spotting a bitter smile.

"I was waiting for you, Arthit. But when you saw us for the first time, you didn't even look at me. you just walked past me. To Weir."

Kongpob could feel the memory bring a bitter taste to him. At that moment he felt soo stupid to even have any expectations.

"You never thought Weir could be Kongpob because Weir was beautiful, handsome."

"Kong, no, I-" Arthit stopped when Kongpob shook his head, a dry chuckle leaving the other's lips. Arthit felt soo bad, he never thought of it that way.

"Didn't we decide that we would recognize each other's hearts? Didn't we, Arthit?"

Kongpob looked down, trying to get his breathing even, "But you fell for Weir's beauty. You fell for him immediately."

"The truth is that we always want the one we love to be the most exotic. But that's not me, Arthit, that's not me." Kongpob chuckle to himself before he looked up.

"Weir won't admit it but I know he's in love with you and you know it too."

Arthit shook his head, his jaw clenched, feeling hurt, hurt because he had caused Kongpob pain. Hurt because he wasn't able to recognise the man he had truly loved.

"When I left Thailand for the first time, I remembered you two. I had the picture of both of you in my head, with me. I recognised Weir without a second thought because he's not you, you're not him. His eyes gave him away. I admit that it was his physical appearance that made me recognise him."

"All these years I believed the one who wrote me letters to be Weir, it would be in my nature to recognise him first. But I know that's no excuse to push you away. I-I should have recognised you. The one who I truly fell for." Arthit wanted to explain it, Kongpob deserved it. It's his fault that even if all the signs were in front of him he decided to ignore them.

Kongpob smiled softly, understanding the other. Tears rolled down his cheeks."Doesn't matter now, Arthit. You both are in love."

Arthit's eyes widened, he shook his head. He took Kongpob's hand in his, taking the other by surprise.

"It's not right. This love wasn't Weir's to begin with. Weir will have to understand that I've always loved the person who wrote me those letters, and it wasn't Weir." Arthit took a deep breath."Him and you are completely different."

"If we make this lie into a truth, then we'll suffer for it, Kong." Kongpob closed his eyes, hearing the other's words."You, I and Weir. We'll all suffer if the truth is not out."

"There's only one truth in this lie, Kong. Only one truth and it is that I love-I've always loved only you. Only you."

Kongpob snapped his eyes open, wide. Gasping at the other. Arthit looked soo relaxed saying it, his hazel eyes warmly gazing at him while his heart was pounding against his chest.

"No Arthit-"

"Shh...," Arthit shook his head, slipping his hands up to cup the other's face. Feeling the soft skin under his palm Arthit sighed in contentment while Kongpob froze on the spot, his lips trembling at the feeling of the other's touch.

"Don't say anything. Nothing else matters, nothing else matters to me, Kong." Arthit rested his forehead against the other's making Kongpob sob at the action.

"This was meant to be, Kong. You coming for the interview, humming that tune in this church, this all happened for a reason."

"The universe brought us together, Kong."Arthit smiled softly at the other, through his teary eyes. "And the universe will make sure we stay together, forever.

Kongpob felt like screaming, shouting to the universe for making him go through this. Making them go through this. He wanted to be selfish but he can't, he can't do that.

Even if it felt like a thousand knives were stabbed in his chest he pulled away from Arthit, removing the other's warm palms away from his face as he stepped away. Making Arthit stare at him confused and in pain.

"It's too late, Arthit. Too late." Kongpob mumbled in his shaky voice, feeling soo drained after saying it.

"Kong-"

Kongpob turns away the next second his back facing Arthit. The other watches helplessly as Kongpob walked away. Shoulders shaking.

Arthit broke down, feeling a rage soo deep burn in him. He can't let Kongpob walk away from him. He understood what completed him now. The way he felt around Kongpob could never be compared to what he felt around Weir. He always thought there would be a spark with Weir, but it never happen. He never felt anything, nothing, but he believed it will come around with time.

But now he realised he used to feel, and still feel soo free, understood and paid with attention and love in Kongpob's presence.

And now, after knowing the truth he won't leave Kongpob. He won't let Kongpob leave him. He would never. If not Kongpob them it would be no one else for him.

"You can't do this to me, Kong!" Arthit shouts absurdly, making Kongpob who was a few feet away from him stop in his tracks.

"You have always been a part of me! And I can't lose you, I can't think of a life without you in it anymore! Now I understood why I could never picture Weir in my future even after meeting him because he wasn't Kongpob Suttilak!"

Arthit takes a deep breath, looking over at the statue of God himself. He believes that he is doing the right thing.

"In front of the god, in this church, I promise that-" Arthit looked over at Kongpob who stiffened." There will never be another in my heart than you Kong. No one else."

"There will never be another in my heart," Arthit repeats, feeling his heart tear into pieces. Feeling as if he was breaking down into pieces.

Kongpob turned around, eyes wide at the confession, facing the form of a crumbling Arthit. The man who he always saw to be happy, cheerful and full of energy and love, crumbling down for him, for their relation. Kongpob knew that Arthit was all that he needed. This was it.

Without a second thought, not even minding to wipe his tears he ran towards Arthit. Launching himself into him when he was a foot away from him.

And Arthit caught him in his arms without any hesitation. He pulled him into his chest, hugging tightly over his back and waist. Feeling the other's head rest on his chest, crying his heart out.

Arthit felt a wide smile spread on his lips, the happiness blooming inside him after feeling the acceptance of Kongpob. He caressed Kongpob's hair, hugging him tighter as he swayed a little, giving the other time to compose himself. While he did it to himself.

"I'm sorry, Kong. I'm soo sorry." Arthit buried his face into the crook of the other's neck. Feeling the warmth that he had missed. It felt as if something was lifted off his shoulder, something he didn't know existed in the first place.

"I-I'm sorry too." Kongpob couldn't help but smile as he mumbled those words. He didn't want to leave anymore, he wanted this. The warmth from Arthit, the acceptance, the immense love that he could feel from his voice. He wanted this.

They stayed that way for a few more minutes, basking in the essence of eachother. Listening as the uneven breaths get even, their heartbeats beating in rhythm.

Arthit finally realised that this is what felt right. With Kongpob in his arms, the one who truly loved him was with him. This was what was right.

As they pulled away Arthit smiled down softly at the honey-skinned man. Wiping the tears off the other's cheeks he cupped his face and Kongpob found himself melting, smiling back at him.

"Let's book the fastest flight to Thailand. Go back home and tell everyone the truth, ok?"

Kongpob nodded his head. He closed his eyes, his smile getting wide as Arthit leaned forward and pressed a tender kiss on his forehead.

Kongpob glanced at Arthit from the kitchen counter at the hotel room he was staying, finding the other staring at his laptop with a pout.

Taking the glass of coffee he has prepared for the two of them he walked towards the sofa, sitting beside Arthit.

"What's wrong?" Kongpob passed the drink to the other male.

"The closest flight available to Thailand is in three days."

Kongpob had to suppress his laughter as he sipped on his coffee.

"I have to wait three days to declare you as my lover!" Arthit raised his hands in disbelief, leaning back on the headrest as he played with the cup in his hand.

"It's just three days, Arthit." Kongpob couldn't help but chuckle.

"Three days are long!" Arthit shrugged his shoulders. "Anyway, I booked the flight."

"Well then, you can take me around to see new places like we initially planned. We have three days left." Kongpob continued to sip on his coffee, unaware of the hazel eyes that we on him. Staring at him with soo much intensity.

Arthit couldn't help but stare at the other male. Seeing him in his nightwear, a full sleeve white tee and black pyjama pants. Looking adorable with his hair falling on his forehead.

But he could surprisingly see through the other, beyond the calm facade Kongpob had. The other's eyes looked soo lost. Even though Arthit knows what might be bothering the other he wants to talk about it. This relationship, he wants to make it work.

He thought at first that he wouldn't be able to move away from Weir since it was him who was occupied in his mind for long. But when he realised it was Kongpob he wanted to make it right because Kongpob was the one who he loved. Who made him feel loved.

It surprisingly didn't take him long to accept Kongpob as the one who he loved. Maybe because he was his love in the first place. He doesn't regret anything. He's on cloud nine just because he could find his true love. Kongpob was his now. The one who truly knows him and loves him.

Taking a deep breath Arthit placed the cup on the coffee table in front of him, turning to face Kongpob next.

"Kong."

"Hmm?"

Kongpob's absentminded hum made Arthit sigh. He watched the other staring at the wall, blankly, giving him little of his attention. Arthit reached forward, took the cup from his hand and placed it on the coffee table, that action didn't even make Kongpob's attention flatter. Arthit then proceeded to cup Kongpob's face, startling the other as he turned to face him.

"What happened, love?" Arthit smiled softly as he watched Kongpob's lips tremble, surprised at the way he called him.

"Nothing, Arthit."

The other raised his eyebrows at the response, "I can see it on your face, Kong. What's bothering you?"

Kongpob sighed in content when the other's finger stroked his cheeks, as if he was soo delicate that if pressure was added he would break.

"I-I'm just worried." Kongpob tried to look away but Arthit turned him to face him.

"What are you worried about? Is it Weir?"

Kongpob nodded his head, "Weir and our family."

"Family?" Arthit asked confused, why did the latter worry about their families?

"Your Papa has given his word to uncle Chao that you and Weir will get married."

"What?" Arthit's eyes widened. "When did that happen?"

"The night before you left."

"I-I'm sorry, Kong."

Kongpob shook his head, smiling at the other. "It's not your fault, Arthit. It's no one's fault. I'm not blaming anyone for it."

"But-"

"I'm just worried about how they'll handle this news, Arthit. But I know I shouldn't because I have you with me." Kongpob placed his palm over the other's which laid on his cheek.

"You're right, I'm gonna protect you now from everything that comes to destroy us!" Arthit winked at the other making Kongpob giggle, the sight making butterflies dance in Arthit.

He doesn't what made him do that, maybe it was Kongpob's smile, the innocence in his eyes, the sound of his giggles. Something made him feel the pull and the next second he realises that he was kissing Kongpob.

The other's gasp melted between their lips. Kongpob closed his eyes, the overwhelming feeling of the love of his life kissing him taking all over his senses. He felt a strong force build up in the pit of his stomach, making him squirm yet firmly respond to the other's lips.

Warmth blossomed in both the males, their chests rose in unknown anticipation, sparks igniting in them as they leaned in close, lips brushing together.

Arthit nibbled onto the other's lower lip, soft and delicate. He didn't want to hurry, it was their first kiss. Known to the universe that they have reserved it for eachother. He realised how destiny had played with them. And he is thankful to whatever power it was for bringing them together.

"I-I love you, Kong." Arthit couldn't help but whisper as they pulled away to take their breath.

Kongpob looked up surprised, his cheeks flushed red, eyes hooded with passion. "I love you, Arthit."

They stared at eachother for what felt like hours, melting in those gazes. Feeling a need and want to be close to eachother building inside them.

And this time it was Kongpob who leaned in, cupping the other's face as he brought him closer. Their second kiss was more mature than their first, eagerness and passion mixed up with their fastened pace. Hands threading into each other's hair, pulling them closer.

Arthit brought the other closer, making Kongpob hover over his lap. Wrapping his legs around the other's waist, Kongpob felt himself moan lowly into their kiss as Arthit's hands wrapped around his waist and pressed him against him.

Kongpob gasped when he was lifted, his legs tightened around Arthit's waist as the other carried him. His hands wrapped around Arthit's neck, fingers fidgeting through his dark locks.

Arthit climbed up on Kongpob's bed, dropping the other softly on the mattress as he hovered over him on his knees. Their lips were still in touch, kissing softer as they parted to breathe.

They rested their foreheads together, staring into each other's eyes with batted breaths. Arthit could feel the soft tickle of the other's breath beneath his nose, fingers carding through his hair, as they breathed each other in.

Their bodies pressed together heatedly against the mattress, breathing heavily as their lips pressed together once again. Tasting their shared breath, feeling the thud of their combined heartbeat as they fumbled to take off one another's clothes.

Hands pressed all over their skin, caressing beneath the clothes as they removed them. Completely drawn by the need to touch eachother, feel them against their skin. Wanting to take in each other's love for the other.

Completely naked in each other's arms, clothes scattered on the floor, low groans and moans escaping each other's lips, Arthit cupped Kongpob's face. He kissed him on his cheeks, his jaw and his ears.

"You're soo beautiful." Arthit's husky voice, filled with passion made Kongpob shiver. His toes curled as Arthit's feet caressed up his leg.

"A-Arthit-" a breathy moan escaped Kongpob's lips as Arthit kissed his neck. Soo soft that it made him gasp, tickling him.

He felt as if he was drawn in by the force and pressure of the tempest man in front of him. Drawing him in like a magnet. He couldn't pull away.

Wherever those pale fingers touched him, it felt like a start of a fire. settling his skin on flames but he wanted the flames to catch him, catch him as a whole. Inside out. Wanting to feel that Arthit was his.

Arthit groaned, tasting the other male. Inhaling the soothing scent the other had. It felt soo right, and his heart was at peace. Everything was just soo magical. Each touch and each caress took their breath away. Nothing else mattered to them at all, it was just them. Building their home within eachother.

Kongpob gasped when Arthit's hands cupped his waist, to his back, pulling his hip up and he couldn't help but arc his back as Arthit's lips caressed his thigh.

A firm hand cupped over his bum, surprising him. He could only moan as the other teased his bottom back while those rosy lips worshipped his body.

Their erected members brushed against each other's skin as their bodies moved. Hands and lips reached out to every corner, yearning to taste each inch of them.

Kongpob gasped when he felt a small caress around his entrance, he involuntarily clenched down there, moaning when Arthit's fingers graced over it, teasing him.

"A-Arthit...please," he breathed heavily, turning to his side, looking at the taller male who was busy marking his chest. Hickeys all over his body.

"Why do you taste soo additive, love?" Arthit gazed at him through his lashes, making Kongpob gulp as he took heavy breaths.

Kongpob's mouth fell open with a surprised yelp, his back arched as Arthit's fingers pushed into him. His eyes rolled back as the fingers inside him started to move. Slowly, teasing his walls before its pace started to increase.

Arthit raised his body over Kongpob, his fingers moving inside the warm cavern. He watched as Kongpob moan under him, with spread-out legs and arching with hai touches. The sight was soo beautiful, exhilarating and hot that it hardened his member, pre cum already leaking.

Arthit bit his lips, watching the moaning man beneath him as he increased the pace. Kongpob had his eyes closed, hands clutching onto Arthit's strong arms as small cries left his lips at the feeling of the other's slippery fingers inside him.

Thrusting the finger inside out, caressing the tight walls of the honey-skinned man. He reached down to capture the other's lips. Kongpob responded eagerly, clutching onto Arthit as he left his knees weakened, the feeling of Arthit's fingers and mouth of him was something that made him feel blind in the head. Just the sight of the other male made him go crazy.

Arthit dived down, capturing the lips of the man under him. Taking in the moans that escaped those pair of rosy delicacy.

Kongpob responded in vigour, wrapping his arms around the other's neck he pulled him closer. Wanting to feel Arthit as close to him as possible. The feeling of those long pale fingers inside him drove him crazy just as much as the kiss did. Their tongues battled against eachother, exploring each corner of their mouth. Kissing and moaning as each sensation that was drained through them.

Arthit smiled as he parted, seeing the other's swollen lips parting as he panted, his chest heaving, doe eyes staring back at him as the other tried to steady his breath. If only he could capture this moment, he would. But he knew this night will be forever engraved in his mind and soul.

Arthit leaned forward, fingers curling inside the hot cavern, making the latter moan louder into his ears. Arthit started to place kisses over the other's chest. His other hand found its way to the sensitive buds. Rolling them between his fingers, a tingling sensation down the other male.

Dropping his head, he captured them between his lips, making Kongpob hiss and arc back at the contact. Sucking on them and drawing circles around them with his tongue Kongpob squirmed under the sensations. Moaning as Arthit continued to torture his already flushed nubs.

Gasps and pants escaped Kongpob's lips, those sounds being music to Arthit's ears. Arthit continued to move his fingers inside the other, curling his fingers inside. Moans being heard from the other as he touches his sweet spot. Arthit moved his lips from Kongpob's chest down to his navel, making sure that he left marks. Wanting to leave signs that Kongpob is his.

"Arthit!" Kongpob gripped Arthit's hair as he felt as if his body was going numb, an electric sensation going down his spine. Feeling as if he was ready to burst just with Arthit's touches and his fingers inside him.

Arthit raised his head, staring at the tightly closed eyes of the other. The sight made him smile. He pulled his fingers back, chuckling when Kongpob hissed at the loss of contact. He leaned in to press a soft kiss on the other's forehead.

"Wait here," Arthit whispered, he wasn't sure if Kongpob heard him or not, sensing how the other was trying to come down from the high.

Arthit hopped out of the bed, rushing outside. Trying to not waste any second. Going towards the mini bar in the room, he pulled out the cupboards, trying to find a box. Once he found it he opened it hurriedly, taking the small bottle and packet from it. Immediately running back to the room.

Kongpob who has just started breathing at a proper pace gasped when he saw Arthit come in, carrying a small bottle of lube and condom in his hand.

"How-Where did you get that from?" Kongpob blinked as Arthit hovered on top of him, with a smirk on his lips.

"Secret." Arthit winked.

"Arthit!"

The latter laughed seeing the other in distress, he stole a kiss from those pouty lips.

"Some hotels in London have these in their mini bar. I had stayed in this hotel for a business function and took a room, so I know they have these in here."

Kongpob nodded his head, absentmindedly. His eyes trailed on Arthit's lips that tore open the packet. He gulped watching him roll it down his hard, leaking member. Was it dirty of him to think Arthit looked soo damn hot doing that?

Arthit took some lube in his hand, coating it around his covered member. He hovered over Kongpob next, watching with a smirk as the honey-skinned man squirmed in anticipation under him.

"Ready?" Arthit dropped a kiss on the tip of his nose, gaining Kongpob's attention on him.

The latter nodded, his hands reached up to grab Arthit's hip. Biting the inside of his cheek as he watched the other position himself between his parted legs, a shiver running down his spine as the tip of Arthit's member rubbed against his entrance.

Kongpob could only moan, his hands gripping the bedsheet, his eyes rolling back as Arthit thrust in and out, slowly and rhythmically, wanting him to adjust to the feeling.

Whimpers and moans to move faster escaped Kongpob's lips. And Arthit complied to every word that left the other male. Moaning in ecstasy with Kongpob at the feeling of his hard member engulfed by pure heaven.

"Oh-Ahh."

They didn't know whose moans were louder. But those musical sounds that escaped them only made it more special. Everything soo special.

Kongpob gasped, clawing onto the milky expanse of the other's back. He knew he had already left marks all over the other why how he had been clutching all over his body. But Arthit would only moan when his hold got tighter on him, whispering words of love.

His body jerked with the movement of the other's hip. Feeling the pleasure increase as Arthit's skilful hand touched his throbbing member, moving his hand along it. Making Kongpob see literal stars. And try way Arthit's lips were on his face and neck, down to his chest. Leaving kisses all the way. Arthit was soo good at multitasking.

Kongpob moved his hands, landing them on Arthit's hard torso. His eyes rolled back and voice that he couldn't even decipher escaped him as Arthit's long and hard member thrust into his sweet spot. Sending him to oblivion. His hands caressed and clutched over Arthit's torso as his head arched with each thrust.

Tangled within eachother, devouring one another in ways only they knew. Trying to show all the bottled emotions and love that they had kept. Anticipation for the known and the unknown, sending flutters down them.

Sun-kissed legs wrapped perfectly on the fair expanse of the other's perfect waist, giving more access to Arthit for his penetration. He went hard on the latter as the other cried to do so. Hearing the bed creak from time to time from all the unconcealed movements of hard thrusts and pounding.

Each thrust, each movement sending Kongpob to extreme sensual pleasure. And Arthit enjoyed every single wash of emotions, the change of expressions and moans that left the beauty beneath him.

Arthit felt as if something was trying to draw him in, and at the same time to press him out. His erection grew larger and harder inside the warmth and tightness that surrounded him. He felt like he was about to burst wide open. It was the strangest sensation, something that went beyond simple pleasure. It felt as if something inside Kongpob, something special inside him, was slowly working its way through him.

"Ah-A-Arthit...," Kongpob moaned under him, wrapping his legs tighter around the male, hands pulling him closer. His body moved in rhythm with Arthit's movements.

Arthit pressed his forehead against Kongpob's, moaning as he felt the wave of pleasure rush down, marking his closure.

"I-I'm close...Ah-Kong-"

Arthit clutched onto the bedsheet, beside Kongpob's shoulders on either side. Closing and opening his eyes from time to time, feeling as if he was being drawn to the pleasure, making his eyelids drop but the desire and need to see his love under him remaining inside him.

Kongpob's fingers threaded through the silky hair of the other, clutching it when Arthit hit his spot over and over again. Moans and cries escaped his lips from at most pleasure.

He doesn't know why but he loved how Arthit's weight was on him. Him on top of him. He wanted to squeeze him in further and further. He wanted to watch how the handsome face moaned along with him.

Closing the gap between their lips, Kongpob kissed him hard. Their moans and cries muffled between their lips. Continuing to kiss each other fiercely, pouring in all that they felt in desire and passion. Bodies moving in fastened rhythm.

They parted as both of them arched their heads, Kongpob watched as Arthit's lips part with the escape of a hoarse moan, sending chills down his spine. He silently moans when Arthit's hands gripped his waist, stabilizing him from falling over as the latter continued to thrust.

Kongpob clutched onto Arthit's arm, his grip tightened on the profound abs as he felt how close he was to his release. All the blood rushed down as Kongpob started to see white with pleasure.

Arthit arched himself toward the other male, moaning loud as he came inside the warm heaven. The feeling sent tingles down him. Butterflies under his stomach.
Continuing to pound he soon saw Kongpob's eyes roll back, his hold that slipped to Arthit's back tightened as his mouth fell agape in the pleasure of his release between them.

Both feeling things that they had never felt before.

Buried in each other's sweet heat, They laid on eachother as Arthit slowly and steadily stopped his movements inside the other. Spend and with ragged breaths, they stayed in their position for a long minute. Catching their breaths, eyes closed as their hands intertwined between them.

Once they were able to breathe normally from the high Arthit pulled away, a low whimper escaping Kongpob. A soft kiss was left on his lips before Arthit stepped out of the bed.

A shy smile spread across Kongpob's lips, he hissed as he tried to move but nothing could compare to the extent of passion and love he was feeling right now.

He patiently watched as Arthit be the gentleman that he is. Cleaning both of them and making sure Kongpob was ok. The soft smile on their lips lingered.

They didn't voice out anything, just talking through their eyes and their smiles. They didn't want to ruin the perfect silence, somehow it seemed soo peaceful and soo full of love. The silence was beautiful.

When Arthit got into the bed, inside the covers that covered their naked body underneath Kongpob immediately closed the space between them. And Arthit's warm hands welcomed him into a tight hug.

Kongpob rested his head on the other's chest, hearing the beating of his heart. He could never imagine that he could be in this position, with Arthit.

"I love you." Arthit buried his face into the other's hair, smiling at the natural scent that emitted from him. Wrapping his arms around the slender waist, he pulled him closer. The body heat from Kongpob makes him feel soo comfortable that if given choice he would choose to stay in the bed, snuggling closer to his love forever.

Kongpob smiled wide, his whole being glowing with all the attention and love he gets. Something he never imagined experiencing in this lifetime. Placing his palm on Arthit's chest, he caressed his torso. Inhaling the musky scent that made him feel at home.

Arthit reached forward with his free hand, intertwining their fingers. Caressing Kongpob's palm, making the latter sigh in contentment.

"I love you, Arthit."

*****

"You have been playing with that for a long time." Arthit chuckled as he watched Kongpob's cheeks flush at his remark.

The latter puffed his cheeks, looking up at the taller guy. "I couldn't help it. It feels soo... surreal."

Arthit smiled, intertwining Kongpob's hand he placed it on his lap. "This is real. You're my only one, Kong. And after we tell the truth to everyone you don't have to be worried anymore."

Kongpob smiled, nodding, he laid his head on Arthit's shoulder as the other's free hand wrapped around his shoulder, pulling him closer. Placing a kiss on the crown of his head. Kongpob looked out of the window of the taxi with a smile on his face. They were back in Thailand, to meet their family. Taking a taxi back home from the railway station.

Kongpob clutched onto the necklace that was around his neck. It was a dazzling circle of love diamond pendant, of two rings that connect in a locked structure, with diamonds on them. It was a beautiful interlocked necklace. Something that Kongpob never imagined getting, not because it was expensive or because of its beauty. It was something beyond that.

"Arthit, what is this?" Kongpob asked surprised as he watched Arthit place a necklace around his neck through the mirror in front of him.

They had just taken a shower together, both in their bathrobes, after returning from a small tour around the city, this time with Arthit as his lover. The other male had excused himself while he was drying his hair. And when the latter came back in he made him stand in front of the mirror and this happens.

"This necklace had been in our family for years, it passes down to the in-laws. And every in-law wears them."

Kongpob gasped at the information, his lips trembled realising why Arthit made him wear it.

Arthit smiled, wrapped his arms around Kongpob's chest, pulling the other closer, he rested his chin on his shoulder. Placing a soft kiss on his neck, inhaling the soft scent that radiated from him.

"When Mom sees you wearing this, she'll understand everything."

Kongpob bit his lower lip, his eyes were glassy with emotions. He closed his eyes, taking in the feeling of the other soo close to him. He wishes right now the time could stop.

"We're here." Arthit gently patted Kongpob's shoulder, pulling the other out of his stupor.

Kongpob took a deep breath, nodding his head he got out of the car as Arthit paid for the taxi. He was just feeling a little nervous, especially about how Weir might feel about everything. But he's thankful that they'll be opening up to his best friend before Weir could be more invested in the relationship.

Just as he thought things couldn't get better in his life, fate had another plan for him and his relationship with Arthit. It was as if he was in a dream and had been woken up from his deep slumber.

Just as Arthit and Kongpob walked through the gate to their house a crowd had formed in front of the place. Both couldn't help but feel curious as to why there was soo many people there.

The curiosity turned into shock as they walked closer, getting to see the sadness and blank expressions on people's faces. Their neighbours and people who knew them had tears in their eyes as they acknowledged them.

And everything fell apart when they met the crying faces of their parents and Weir. Their intertwined fingers loosened up when Weir looked up in their direction, from Achara's embrace.

"Arthit!"

Kongpob gulped, pushing himself away from Arthit as he watched Weir stand up, sobbing as he rushed towards them. Towards Arthit. Even though the other tried to hold him back Kongpob didn't let him.

Kongpob watched as his best friend run into Arthit, throwing arms around him as he cried louder. Face flushed red and eyes heavy and puffed. Kongpob didn't know what to do.

"P-Pa, he-he's gone. He left me Arthit...H left me."

Chaow's death was unexpected. Neither Arthit nor Kongpob could believe the sudden turn of events. It seemed like things happened on their journey back home. Achara had tried to contact Arthit but he couldn't take any phone calls since he was inside the plane. And he hadn't changed the aeroplane mode on his phone.

Three weeks went by pretty fast for both Arthit and Kongpob. They didn't even get a chance to be alone or have a talk about anything. Kongpob being Weir's only source of strength at that moment, being his best friend Kongpob always had to be with him. He even slept with him at night since he didn't want to leave him alone. Not until Weir was ready to face the reality.

Three weeks full of grief and tears. Arthit had been there with the other family members for all the rituals. Making sure that everything had gone well and everyone was doing well. While Kongpob was being a shoulder for his best friend, Arthit was doing the same for his and Kongpob's parents. They had lost their best friend and the unexpected turn of events had made them terrible and helpless.

Kongpob let Weir rest his head on his shoulder as they sat on the bench in the backyard. Looking up at the starry night sky.

"People come and go from our lives without us realizing it." Weir took a deep breath. "Arthit came into my life and my life changed. Now Pa is gone from my life and once again my life has changed."

"I don't know what else life has in store for me." A dry chuckle left his lips.

Kongpob sighed, wrapping his arms around Weir, patting his shoulder as a sign of support. "As soon as we think we have control of our life, life takes control. We can't make any major decisions on our own, life decides them for us."

Weir pulled away, sitting upright as he turned to face his best friend. His eyes were puffy, his face looking pale. Tired and worn-out.

"But my life's decisions have always been connected to you," Kongpob blinked surprised at the remark. "I lost my mother and your mother made up for that loss. Even now you're the one who brought Arthit to me. you're the one who gave me my life."

Weir leans forward as he pulls Kongpob into a tight hug, surprising the other but Kongpob hugged back. Praying that his tears wouldn't fall and his best friend shouldn't see them.

"I haven't given you your life, I haven't given you back anything, Kong."

"Hey!" Arthit's voice breaks their conversation.

Weir pulls away from Kongpob, wiping his face as he tried to look at Arthit with a smile on his face.

Arthit smiled softly seeing the two best friends, he walked over to them, kneeling between the two and he placed the food tray in the space between the two friends.

"Here we go! Weir, you should have dinner now."

Weir pursed his lips, looking down at the plate of rice and salad in front of him.

"No, Arthit. I don't want to."

"What do you mean no?" Arthit raised his eyebrows, "You haven't eaten anything properly in the last three weeks. Come on, no excuses today. let's all eat together."

Arthit rolls his eyes playfully when Weir doesn't change his decision. So he takes up a spoon full of rice and eats it. Closing his eyes as he moaned.

"This is soo tasty!"

Weir pouted, masking the feeling of a knot in his chest. "Hey, Mr America, you're very ill-mannered."

Arthit continued to chew nonchalantly, "Why is that?"

"Are you going to eat that by yourself?" Weir crossed his arms against his chest.

Arthit tried to suppress the chuckle that threatened to escape, "Well, I'm not stopping you, why don't you join me? You can eat too."

Weir leans back, shaking his head like a child.
"Nope! You have to feed me. It's more fun when someone else feeds you."

Arthit gulps at the words. His eyes automatically turn towards Kongpob who was clearly trying to hold in his emotions. Arthit could see the hurt and pain in those pair of charcoal orbs but he couldn't do anything at that moment.

Kongpob broke their gaze, clearing his throat he stood up. "Excuse me."

As Kongpob left space Arthit sighed, he stood up, taking Kongpob's seat as he looked at Weir who playfully opened his mouth for him to feed. Closing in his feelings for the time being Arthit smiled as he started to feed the other male.

Weir gladly took the first bite of his first meal of the day. Trying to smile and giggle as Arthit looked at him. But it wasn't easy. The tender look Arthit gave him and still giving him made him miss a pair of similar warm eyes and used to follow him around.

The very next second Weir bursts into tears and this time he finds safety in the warmth of Arthit's embrace as he moved forward to hug him. Arthit's hands clutched onto fists on either side, not knowing what to do. He just couldn't hug the latter back, something was pulling him back. Someone was pulling him back. But he let Weir cry out his mind in the safety of his embrace.

Kongpob bits the inside of his cheek as he watches the two from afar. He couldn't stand watching them anymore so he stepped into the house. Planning to go to bed early. But the words of his and Arthit's parents from the living room stopped him.

"Weir is all alone now," Kerkkrai couldn't help but worry. Everything was just soo sudden.

"How can you say that, honey? He's our son too, he'll stay with us from now." Rin immediately came over to his husband, holding his shoulder.

"Yes, only until the day he marries, Arthit."

Kerkkrai turned to face his friend, surprised, "David?"

David nodded his head, determination in his voice. "Yes, Kerkkrai. I promised Chaow that Weir will marry Arthit and I'm going to keep that promise."

"Let's call a monk tomorrow, he can decide on an auspicious date for the wedding." Kerkkrai smiled with tears in his eyes as he hears David's words.

Kongpob closes his eyes, composing himself. Taking deep breaths to somehow try to reduce the binding pain that was spreading through his chest. Trying to seem as if he hadn't heard anything he walked past the living room, walking upstairs hurridly. Locking himself in his room. He knew Arthit will try to talk to him tonight but he didn't want to, he needed time to clear his mind.

Arthit on the other hand checks his watch from time to time as he walks with Weir towards the latter's room. It's still early for Kongpob to sleep so he hopes after making sure Weir was ok he'll be able to talk with him.

"I want to tell you something, Arthit." Weir suddenly voices out as they stood in front of his room. "Something that I should've told you long ago."

Arthit tenses beside the latter, his jaw clenched as he watched the other turn to face him.

"You travelled all the way here, just to hear it. But I only realised after you left that I -"

"I-It's getting too late." Arthit interrupts Weir's words. Laughing awkwardly as he pretends to look at his watch. "G-Good night, Weir. We have to get some sleep."

Just before Arthit could turn away Weir takes hold of his hand. "Wait!"

Arthit watches with batted breaths as Weir steps forward," That's not how you say good night in London, Mr America."

The taller male could only gulp as Weir's fingers traced his cheeks.

"You need to be a little closer and your eyes need to be closed," Weir whispered, watching how tensed Arthit was. For a completely different reason.

Coving over to Arthit's face he whispered in his ear. "I love you, Arthit, I love you soo much."

"Kongpob!"

Arthit rushes toward his lover, trying to get him to talk to him but Kongpob was ignoring him in any way that was possible.

"Kong, wait!" Arthit called out as he followed Kongpob downstairs. When the other wasn't paying him attention he finally stopped him by catching his hand making the shorter male glare back at him.

"Leave me alone, Arthit," Kongpob murmured.

Arthit shook his head, "I wanted to talk to you yesterday but you went to bed soo early. I was only a little late, you could have waited for me, Kong."

Kongpob pulled his hand away from Arthit's grip when he heard the voice of their parents downstairs, he looked up at him with a bitter smile on his face.

"You were not a little late, Arthit. It's too late. Too late already."

"Kong, I-"

"Arthit, son!"

Arthit watched as Kongpob turn his back on him as he rushed down the stairs. He looked down to see David standing at the end of the stairs, wearing a wide smile on his face.

"Papa?" Arthit called out confused as he reached him. The overwhelming gaze of his father on him wasn't sitting well with him somehow.

David smiled wide as he reached forward, cupping his son's face he kissed him on his forehead.

Just as Arthit was about to ask what was all that about Achara rushed to him, pulling him in a tight hug.

"I can't believe you're getting married! When did you grow up, my baby?"

Arthit's eyes widened, and his confusion doubled at his mother's words but what made his heart shatter was when he saw the stunned form of his lover, who stood between the family members hearing Achara's words.

"There comes Weir!" Rin pulled Weir towards her with a wide smile as the latter walked into the living room. She made him stand beside Arthit who was still too confused.

"The engagement date is fixed, Arthit, Weir. It's only three months away." Kerkkrai announced and a round of excited cheers was shared between the family members.

"There will be no waiting after the engagement! The wedding is just two weeks later." Rin excitedly added, wrapping her arms around Achara's shoulder.

"But both engagement and wedding will be in London!"

"Sure, Achara. We'll give into that!" Kerkkrai nodded his head, smiling wide as he looked at Weir who was laughing at their antics. He felt relaxed knowing Weir was trying to get out of his shell.

He's thankful that Arthit and Kongpob had been there with Weir all these days. If not for them Weir would still hide himself, drown in the grief. Even if he says he'll take over Chaow's place, for Weir Chaow is his father, that absence can never be replaced.

"Congratulations Weir!" Kongpob steps forward to his best friend, smiling wide as he pulled him into a tight hug.

"Thanks, Kong!"

Kongpob could feel Arthit's eyes on him but he tried to ignore it, pulling up the mask of being happy for their wedding.

As he pulled away he looked up at Arthit, trying to keep in his smile, he stepped in to hug him. "Congratulations Arthit, I'm happy for you both."

"Weir, here is a small gift from us. I wish I could have given you our family necklace but it is in London. So let this be your wedding gift from us."

Kongpob gulped, his fingers unconsciously moving to his chest. Feeling the metal under the collared sweatshirt he was wearing. The necklace completely hidden under his cloth. He watched as all of them gathered around Weir and Arthit, laughing and exclaiming their happiness for the big day. He could see how happy Weir looked, the glow in his eyes was back. But he couldn't ignore how Arthit was still staring at him, face blank, devoid of any feelings. Kongpob could only turn his back on him, he was not needed there.

He didn't know why but his legs unconsciously took him to the church he visits every week. He goes into the chapel, taking a deep breath he kneels, eyes closed as he joins his hands. He didn't utter a word, nor did he cry. He just poured out everything in his mind.

He didn't know how many minutes or hours he had been there. He didn't want to go out of the place. The chapel gave him a sense of peace, being alone made him feel better for a moment. And he needed that. He didn't want to meet everyone. The one person who he yearns to be with, to talk to and pour his heart into will never be able to be with him, that man will never be his, so what was the use to having another person to be with him?

"What are you praying for?"

Kongpob clenched his jaw as he slowly opened his eyes, hearing the familiar voice behind him.

"Courage," he answered. His voice strong and firm.

"Courage? For what?"

"So that I can bear seeing you and Weir getting married." Kongpob stood up, turning to face the taller male.

Arthit glared at him, anger rising in him, "What rubbish are you talking about?? I can't marry Weir!"

Arthit walked forward, taking Kongpob's hand in his. His eyes softened when he felt the other tremble in his arms."Come with me, Kong. Let's tell everyone the truth, please."

Kongpob shook his head, trying to control his tears."No arthit, it's too late now."

"Weir has nothing but your love with him now."He looked up at Arthit, trying to make him understand. "He's all alone now, if he loses this he'll break down, Arthit."

"Will he?" Arthit raised his eyebrows, scoffing."What about when he knows that the man he's marrying loves someone else? And don't say marriage needs compromise. How many marriages has it ruined?! This is all a lie, Kong!"

Arthit raised his hands, cupping Kongpob's cheeks between his palms. Pain and yearning in his voice, "Marriage is a faith. Love is a promise we make to each other. And I choose you, Kong. I made a promise to you."

Kongpob closed his eyes, the feeling of Arthit beside him, holding him was intoxicating. He wanted it for himself, him alone but he can't be selfish. Not now.

He shook his head, removing Arthit's hands from him. He pulled away, leaving Arthit to fall deeper into the dark.

"The marriage between you and him is a promise too, Arthit. A promise your father made to Uncle Chaow. A promise made in friendship. A friendship that is above all other relationships. Every relationship begins with it, Arthit. It's powerful."

Arthit couldn't help but chuckle bitterly, angry tears blurring his vision. "And now friendship is killing a relationship. Now funny."

Kongpob shook his head, smiling softly, trying to contain himself. He didn't want to break down.

"Our relationship hasn't ended, Arthit. All relationships change with time. Ours begin with a friendship and now, again we'll come back as...as-" Kongpob didn't know voicing out a simple word would be soo hard. It was suffocating him, he couldn't do that. No matter how many times he try to change things between them, his heart knew it wasn't right.

Arthit smiled, "What are we Kong? Are we going to be friends again?"

"Think about the day we made love, Kong. Think of all the moments we spend in London. The way we loved eachother, the way our hearts yearned for eachother. Do you want to tell that everything was a lie?"

Kongpob gazed up, shooting a helpless look at the other male. "This isn't easy for me, Arthit, but I can't make Weir unhappy. How can I ask him to give me the Arthit he loves? How can you tell your parents to forget the promise they made to their friend who's no more?"

Before Arthit could say anything Kongpob raised his hand, stopping the other from talking.

"No, Arthit. Marry Weir. It's best for everyone."

Kongpob looked up, "You say you love me, then for the sake of my love-"

"Imploring in the name of love is easy, but acting in the name of love is hard." Arthit interrupted. Anger evident in his voice.

Kongpob smiled softly, "That's what makes it a sacrifice, Arthit. Love is sacrifice too."

"Fine!" Arthit angrily agrees. His eyes were red with controlled tears, his face flushed and veins popping in his neck.

"Fine, Kong! If it's for the sake of your love I won't let you down. I will make the sacrifice for the sake of your love, I'll do it."

"But I'm not making this sacrifice alone," Arthit stares straight into the other's teary eyes. His jaw clenched as he saw how broken the other looked, yet trying to seem strong in front of him.

"For the sake of our love you'll make a sacrifice too, we'll make the sacrifice together."

"What are you-"

Arthit places his hand on Kongpob's head, confusing the latter, "I swear by you, Kong, that I will marry Weir without fail but only on the day that you marry someone else."

"Arthit!"

Kongpob's eyes widened, he couldn't believe what Arthit had just said.

"Yes, Kong. Only on the day that you marry someone else will I marry Weir. And this is my promise." Arthit firmly states. Backing away from Kongpob the next second.

Tears rolled down their cheeks, crying silently, they stared at eachother. Feeling their hearts break into pieces, a binding pain in their chests. As if they were getting knocked out of air.

Everything was just soo perfect, why did this have to happen to them when happiness was finally within their reach?
