A Different Start - 3 (END)

Kongpob glanced at the clock, sighing as he walked over to the dining table. Placing the breakfast on it and closing it with a lid. They won't be having it in another 30 minutes anyway. He then proceeded to walk towards the elder's room. If the other doesn't wake up now the elder won't be able to go to the hospital or reach their workplace on time.

"P'Arthit Kharp!" Kongpob knocked on the door, continuously calling for the elder. And on the sixth knock, he was able to hear a loud groan from the other side.

"I'm up! Geez!"

Kongpob chuckled hearing a series of curses from the other side. He shook his head as he walked away to his room to shower and change into his work clothes.

When he finally stepped out of his room after changing he saw Arthit sitting at the dining table, using his phone. Kongpob smiled when he noticed the latter was going through the notes of his classes. Arthit had started attending online sessions to finish his studies, and Kongpob was glad that Arthit was taking initiative for it.

"Oh you came, I was waiting for you." Arthit smiled at the younger when he saw him take a seat.

Breakfast was a silent affair, just like every day, they would occasionally speak if there was something they want to tell eachother. But today there was nothing. Though the younger had things going on his mind he wasn't ready to talk about them yet. And Arthit of course noticed the change in the younger's mood but he didn't question the latter. They worked silently beside eachother next. Doing their final duties before they stepped out of the condo.

Getting into the younger's car Arthit sighed, still sleepy but he was awake than he was before, especially after breakfast. He glanced at Kongpob who wordlessly started the car and began to drive. Arthit turned his head towards the window, watching as the city came into life.

Three months into them staying together, a lot had happened. Whirlpool of emotions and development in their relationship. They still hadn't acknowledged the huge question mark that was between them, it was set aside for the time being. Being ignored as they try to take in all the other changes. With Arthit trying to come back to his normal life, getting over the addiction with Kongpob's constant support, feeling the need to come back and value what he had got. Arthit started to realise that everything was worth it in the end.

Arthit couldn't imagine that he would be able to come back in line and live a normal life without draining himself out. Without the thought that he was going to lose his mind.

And one major event that changed everything completely, almost taking off the huge weight on Arthit's shoulder was Rome's come back. It was a surprise he never thought would come to his life any time soon. But it did, Rome had woken up a month ago, still weak, but Rome was back and Arthit couldn't ask for more.

He had fallen on his knees in front of Kongpob after they had rushed to the hospital, just after the doctor's call announcing the happy news. If not for the younger male Arthit didn't know when he could see his little brother awake. Kongpob had knelt with him that night, held him in his arms and cried along with him. Assuring him that everything was fine now and that he shouldn't let down himself again.

Can he be any luckier? Arthit didn't know, he was over the moon. As if everything was falling in place- except one thing and he didn't want to think about it- with Kongpob beside him, his support was something Arthit had been needing for a long time.

Kongpob knew what was the right thing to do and the right thing to say all the while Arthit was a mess. Getting out of his addiction wasn't easy, he still does have the tendency to take a cigarette and smoke but the urge has come down. He was no longer thirsting for that feeling. Because each time he tried to overcome that sensation, making his brain mess up with his opposite thoughts, he had got the best replacement for it.

He doesn't know when or how it started but during the first month of his stay even though he tried his best to stay away from those temptations he would find himself losing to the desire to take a single puff, leading to him using the cigarette stick Kongpob would always put for him. But he didn't like how he couldn't control himself, he hated that he couldn't do anything despite all the efforts Kongpob was making for him.

And a day like that, Kongpob had found him staring at the cigarette stick in his hand. His hands shivering and lips trembling. The younger watched him throw it inside the waste bin but he could see that the elder wasn't coping. And as far as Arthit knows, Kongpob did what he thought was the best at that moment.

The younger kissed him. Tender and soft at first but Arthit found himself letting out the temptation and pull to use those mere objects on Kongpob. The state of his troubled mind was let out through the way he devoured the delicious luscious lips of the younger. He know it wasn't right and he shouldn't do it but Kongpob himself was the one who initiated it and he found a way to let out his emotions too.

And that moment he didn't back off, Arthit needed that. And Kongpob took the aggressive moves of the elder without any complaint. Letting Arthit do whatever he wanted.

Arthit can still hear the words the younger had uttered when they pulled away, after Arthit was conscious of the situation and didn't dare to look at Kongpob knowing he took advantage of the younger.

"If you're soo determined to change that habit of yours then I don't mind doing this P'Arthit. Whenever you feel like losing it you can come to m-me. I don't mind."

The younger's gaze didn't reach his either, both of their faces flushed red. After that for the next few days, Arthit was able to control himself, not wanting to let Kongpob go through the trouble. But it happened a second time after a week. And then almost every week from then.

Kongpob's lips made Arthit forget everything, his dark desire was forgotten as he used his lips to let out those emotions, through the younger. It was awkward at first to just walk up to the younger and pull him in for a deep kiss, but it dropped down over time.

By the third month, Arthit felt a lot better. He had stopped smoking and stopped approaching the younger too. Arthit can control himself now and how much ever he missed the taste of those plump lips he had stopped it. Though once or twice a month he smokes, and Kongpob doesn't say anything.

The younger was just glad that he was coping and had made a lot of improvements. It would take time for the other to come out of it, even though 3 months have passed the urge might be there. And Kongpob knew it.

"P'Arthit."

The elder male was startled when a hand touched his shoulder. He turned his head to face the younger male's concerned gaze. Arthit raised his eyebrows.

"We're here," Kongpob informed, pointing outside the window.

Arthit's lips parted, he didn't realise they had reached. "Oh, sorry. I was just thinking something."

Kongpob nodded his head, still gazing at the elder with concern as he watched him step out of the car. Sighing Kongpob shook his head, it wasn't like he had the right to pester Arthit and get to know what he was thinking now. They still hadn't acknowledged what was going on between them, their hearts, but they know something is still there. But too afraid to address it.

Walking into the large hospital they took the elevator to the 3rd floor, where Rome's room was located.

After Kongpob got to know about Rome's state, and after Arthit's time spent at the hospital he had made arrangements to bring better doctors for Rome. It wasn't like the doctors at the same hospital were lacking or that they were not good at their work, it was just that they were on their limits and nothing could have been done further on their part.

Forwarding Rome's case to the new set of doctors, they had advised for further treatments, scans and many more tests. Kongpob had given everything and anything to bring out Rome's recovery. With the doctors stating that more communication and emotional support with close ones were needed, Arthit, who just used to sit quietly beside his brother in the hospital room back then started to speak more. Narrating all the incidents of the day, ending with words of encouragement to the younger, stating that he was waiting for him.

And Kongpob talked to him too, mostly in Arthit's absence but there were times Arthit would notice or hear it, and it brought a sense of overwhelming love, affection and respect to the younger from him. The way Kongpob assured his unconscious brother that Arthit was safe with him, that he doesn't have to worry about his elder brother. Reminding the younger to wake up soon soo everyone can be happy again.

It might be something soo little but for Arthit it meant the world. At the same time soo confusing, he doesn't know what to do after hearing all those. The feeling that maybe he stood a chance, maybe he might get an opportunity to correct his mistakes was creeping inside him but it felt soo surreal. Why would Kongpob give a second chance to the man who hurt him, left him without any room for an explanation? It didn't make sense.

"P'Oon."

A smile bloomed on Arthit's lips as he stepped into the room. The sight of his smiling brother whelmed him. Stepping closer to him, he was engulfed in a tight hug by Rome, his head resting on his chest. The elder caressed the other's hair, pressing a soft kiss onto the crown of his head.

"Did you stay awake all night or had a good sleep?" Arthit pulled away, wiggling his eyebrows at the younger.

Rome smiled sheepishly at his brother who rolled his eyes at him. He noticed Kongpob standing by the door and he immediately smiled at the latter and the elder responded with a warm smile.

"P'Kong, come sit."

Kongpob tensed, his smile turning nervous
"No, it's ok. You guys catch up, I'll be outside."

Before Rome could compel the other Kongpob stepped out of the room. Closing the door after reminding Arthit to hurry up since they both have to go to work.

"What is going on with you two?" Rome asked confused, raising an eyebrow at his brother.

He knows Kongpob as one of his brother's juniors. He still remembered it. He was surprised to find Kongpob along with Arthit when he woke up. Though at first, he didn't remember Kongpob, later on when his brain registered what was going on the memories blooded in. Especially the latter's voice, it seemed as if he had heard that calming voice a lot of times recently, though he couldn't point out where.

"What are you talking about?" Arthit acted confused though his heart sank seeing how Kongpob avoided them.

Rome stared at Arthit for a good minute before sighing. "I'm assuming you both are pretty close sensing that even after all these years you still keep in contact with a junior. Anyway, did you two fight?

Rome wanted to talk about this for a long time but he didn't know how to bring it. He had been watching the two since the time he had woken up. The first month when he woke up Arthit was always in his room, staying overnight. And he had seen Kongpob tagging along most of the time. Or the other would come back to the hospital after his work, helping Arthit and even bringing fresh clothes for the latter to change.

They both looked soo close. Rome got to know that the two are even sharing an apartment and he's not judging but the way the two are behaving around eachother is giving him signals.

"There is nothing like that, and what's wrong with keeping in contact with a junior?" Arthit raised an eyebrow.

"You're definitely hiding something but I'm not asking now. But solve whatever that is between you two."

Arthit sighed, he hadn't told his brother about what he had gone through or how he ended up staying with Kongpob. He didn't want to worry Rome, the younger was still recovering. It had only been a month, he didn't want Rome to get concerned and cause too much stress. He will tell him everything when the time comes and he knows Rome understands him.

And Rome doesn't know anything about his relationship with Kongpob back then. That they were boyfriends. Rome just knew Kongpob as a junior of his.

The next few minutes passed by Arthit helping Rome to use the restroom, the latter wasn't able to walk comfortably yet since his limbs were not used for a long time, thus consulting a physiotherapist for training. He recovered the movement of his hands much easier.

Once the hospital staff brought in the breakfast Arthit bid goodbye to his brother. Rome was stable enough to have his food on his own now, the first few weeks were hard but now the latter was fine. The elder was always there to help Rome back then.

When Arthit stepped out of the room the sight that welcomed him made his breath hitch. His eyes softened. Seeing Kongpob on one of the chairs outside, dozing off. Hands crossed over his stomach. The younger looked soo calm and tension-free, and that made the man in the suit look much younger.

Arthit stepped towards the latter, gently patting on his shoulder.

"Kong?" Arthit's called softly, feeling an all too familiar emotion.

"Kongpob, we have to go." Arthit slightly shook the younger. When Kongpob opened his eyes, looking confused for a minute before he sat straight, registering his surroundings and Arthit who smiled politely at him.

"Yeah-Yeah, let's go." Kongpob rubbed his eyes, yawning before he walked ahead, Arthit following him.

The elder felt soo bad seeing the younger sleepy. For the past few days, Kongpob had been extremely busy, even coming home late, sometimes after Arthit was fast asleep. But the latter would wake up at the crack of dawn again unless it's a weekend. Even with all his busy schedules, Kongpob finds time to drop Arthit off at his work and accompany him to meet Rome even though the elder refused many times.

Arthit kept glancing at Kongpob throughout the ride to his workplace. He was working as a waiter in one of the high-class restaurants in the city, and he doesn't even know how Kongpob managed to arrange the job for him.

The job paid him more than three months' salary of the old works, in a single month. And not to mention that he even got himself enrolled back in college, with online classes just like Kongpob advised him to. Now he has things to look forward to, a dream to achieve and people who are there for him. He would be forever grateful to the younger for this, for everything the other did for him.

Now, watching the younger Arthit knows something was bothering him. Kongpob looked conflicted, as if he want to say something but chose not to. Arthit can read the other. There was definitely something wrong. But Arthit didn't ask, he doesn't want to seem like bothering the other to tell everything to him.

As much as how their relationship has become casual now, he knows his boundaries. Though sometimes the boundaries seem to vanish Arthit tries his best to not always cross them.

"Have a good day's work, P." Kongpob smiled softly as he parked the car in front of the restaurant.

"You too, Kong." Arthit smiled back, stepping out of the car.

The elder turned around, walking away, to enter the restaurant. Though feeling a burning stare at the back of his head. Was he just feeling things?

"Wait! P'Arthit!"

Just before Arthit could enter Kongpob's voice stopped him in his tracks. The elder turns around, to see Kongpob rushing out of the car, looking nervous.

"Yes, Kong? Is there something that you need?"

Kongpob gulped, he doesn't know how to bring this up but he had to. He tried to tell Arthit about it from yesterday but he just couldn't do it. "I-You see...hmm...there is something..."

Arthit's eyebrows knitted, "Kongpob, what's going on? I have been watching you since morning. Is something wrong?"

"That..."

"Kongpob," Arthit warned hearing the younger sigh.

Followed by another sigh the younger couldn't help but ramble out."I'm sorry! I know it was not my place to tell! I tried my best to avoid the questions but it was hard to do so! But I promise you I didn't reveal anything, just that you were here! I didn't think they would find ou-"

"Kong! Will you just breathe?!" Arthit shook the younger seeing how he was speaking within a single breath, dragging him to the side of the restaurant, moving away from the entrance. He knows he might get late if the talk gets pretty long but for now, he was early, and he could spare as much time if Kongpob was the one who wanted to talk to him.

"Sorry." Kongpob took a deep breath.

Arthit gave an encouraging smile to the other, holding his hand in his. "Now you can speak, Kong."

Kongpob doesn't know why he, an acting CEO, was feeling nervous around his senior and ex-lover to just say something to the latter. Just get it over, Kong!

"My friends saw us together."

Arthit's breath hitched. His eyes widened and his shoulders dropped.

"N-No."

Kongpob bit his lips seeing the elder shake his head. Horror filled his face. The younger don't know what to do, he didn't think of this. Sure he wanted Arthit to clear things up with the latter's friends, his seniors, but he wanted Arthit to settle down first. Get himself together at least before he put the idea forward.

"I'm sorry P'Arthit. I couldn't lie, they saw us. And they talked with your friends too before asking me about it."

Arthit felt as if a huge weight was put on his head. Making him feel suffocated. Maybe it wasn't the best idea to force Kongpob to say that out. Maybe he should have just walked inside saying they would talk later. Yeah, he should have done that.

But as much as wants that he knows that it can't be kept hidden or pushed away. He would eventually get to know and at that time he won't be able to hide away either. Just like how he couldn't run away from Kongpob.

"W-What do we do now?" Arthit gulped. Searching Kongpob's eyes to find any discomfort or a sign of how he might have felt about what his friends might have talked about.

"Are they angry at me? Did they tell something to you?" Arthit couldn't help but ask. Why would his friends and the juniors care about him who left them years back? They might have already pushed him away and most probably reprimanded Kongpob as to why he was with him.

"What?! No! It's not like what you're thinking P'Arthit!" Kongpob could read Arthit's train of thoughts through the way the latter s face and body language changed.

He took the other's hand in his, clutching it tight between his palms making the elder's lips part in surprise.

"The first thing Aim asked me was how you were doing after I agreed with their big question. We-We all met up at P'Bright's bar last week to talk about it, more like they threatened me to come." A chuckle left the younger's lips.

When Kongpob looked up to meet the elder's eyes he saw the confusion evident on his face and the younger couldn't help but softly smile.

"P'Bright own a bar now. He found it more interesting after graduation. It is one of the best places now. We all hang out once a month over there. And sometimes during emergencies like last week."

Arthit nodded his head, a small smile stretched on his lips. He was happy for Bright, but he felt a pang on his chest knowing he wasn't there to witness all of those.

"I explained to them about Rome and how you were working hard. I didn't say anything else." Making eye contact with the elder Kongpob made sure to convey what he meant by those words.

Arthit nodded his head, "Thank you."

"But I promised to bring you to them. Only when you're ready. They are ready to give you more time, P'Arthit."

Kongpob's lips parted in surprise as he was engulfed by the two warm hands of the elder. A content sigh left his lips as he buried his face into the latter s shoulder. It wasn't always that they hugs eachother, and this proximity was making Kongpob feel as if they were back in the old days when everything looked less complicated.

"Thank you, Kong. Thank you. I-I don't know how you do this, thank you for understanding me. Thank you for not pushing me away."

Arthit doesn't know what got to him but letting that out he felt as if he accomplished something. Kongpob deserved that from him and he's happy that he was able to voice it out.

"Didn't I tell you that I want to be there for you? I'm doing what I want to, P'Arthit." Kongpob wiped his teary eyes before he parted from the hug, he didn't want the latter to see him cry.

"And please, talk to them. They were soo worried, I could only assure them that you were fine now. They wanted to come to meet but they knew you needed time. When you're ready, tell me. But please don't make them wait long."

Arthit nodded his head, his lips trembling feeling the tender gaze on him. The care and assurance spread throughout the younger's gaze making him feel special, like always. Kongpob wanted him to clear things with his friends but the latter himself didn't ask for any on his own part.

Arthit still hadn't given him a proper explanation on anything. After that night he burst out at Kongpob, the younger didn't mention about the explanation that the younger deserved, or how he had to come clean with him.

Sure they live under the same roof, and their relationship has become better but the boundaries that still there. Arthit himself doesn't know how he can do it so he kept it to himself. Waiting for a good chance.

But here Kongpob was, asking him to talk to their friends and clear the air between them. He doubted the man Kongpob had turned to on the first few days they met again. The aggressiveness of the younger made him miss the freshmen Kong, his 0062. But now when he looks back he understands that the younger was trying to hold himself in, in desperation to not lose him again. And those feelings muddled together in the form of frustration.

"I promise you, Kong." Arthit nodded his head.

"In fact, how about we meet this weekend?" The wide smile and surprise on the younger's face made Arthit chuckle.

"What!? But-"

Arthit shook his head, "It's ok, Kong. I want to get over this. I'm ready."

Kongpob smiled wide, a sigh of relief escaping his lips. He was afraid of how the elder would react, thinking it might be too much for him to handle at the moment. When Tootah had called him unexpectedly last week, asking him to visit at their usual place with everyone he was surprised to see how serious all of them looked.

His first instinct was to say 'no' when they asked if he got to see Arthit. But his friends had proof. They showed him the photo when he took Arthit to the mall to buy a few more clothes for the latter, on the younger's insistence.

He couldn't lie after that. He didn't tell them about how he really met Arthit. He vaguely mentioned how he spotted the elder at a public place and how he got to know the latter was struggling after all that had happened. He ended by informing that it wasn't his story to be told. And his friends and seniors didn't ask further.

"Oh!" Kongpob's eyes widened when he suddenly realised, "You're getting late! I'm sorry I kept you here. Shit, I should have waited till we got back home."

A tender smile played on Arthit's lips. Yes Kong, home.

"That's ok. I'll get going then, Kong."

Waving at eachother Kongpob watched as Arthit rushed into the restaurant. It was still early for people to dine in and he was thankful for that.

****

"Ready?"

"Yes."

Kongpob just smiled hearing the elder's response. He patted the other's shoulder before slowly urging him to walk into the empty bar. Bright had specially closed the place for the night because of their meeting. And when he told that to Arthit the elder was too surprised that his friend was willing to do that for him.

"I'm here." Kongpob reached forward to give a gentle squeeze to the elder's arm.

Arthit nodded his head, giving the best smile he could bring out at the moment. He didn't trust his voice at the moment. He could see their friends sitting over a lounge sofa, seeming to look engaged in conversations. He knows that they saw him through the glass window but they were giving him space. He's thankful for that.

"Do you- I mean, do you wanna go back?" Kongpob nervously asked, seeing how the elder was contemplating things and looking extremely anxious he started to rethink if he had crossed the line forcing the latter to meet the others. Arthit was the one to decide the day but still.

"No!" Arthit immediately shook his head. Taking a deep breath he gathered the courage to step inside. "Let's go."

Kongpob bit the inside of his cheek as he followed the elder. Stepping into the place. As soon as they both were in view the people inside turned silent. The younger checked if Arthit was ok or if the latter was having a change of mind but all he saw was the determined expression on the elder's face. Though his body language looked stressed Arthit was doing what he wanted to do for a long time.

The younger stepped forward, wanting to break the awkward silence.

"Hey, guys." He smiled softly, tugging Arthit to walk with him as they stepped closer to where their friends were seated.

The silence only got more awkward. Kongpob could see that his side of friends was looking genuinely concerned at Arthit while the senior group just stared at the elder. Emotionless, lips pressed into a thin line.

"H-Hi guys." Arthit's hesitant voice broke the silence.

Kongpob's eyes widened when he saw Bright stand up absurdly. Marching towards them, hands fisted on either side. All of them stood up when they saw him raise his hand. Even though Kongpob tried to move Arthit the elder stood rooted in his place, staring right at the other male who was ready to punch him.

"P'Bright!"

"Bright no!"

A huge sigh left everyone as they watched Bright pull Arthit towards him, engulfing the latter into a tight hug.

"You bastard!" Bright's voice quivered. Biting his lips to control the sobs that were threatening to escape his lips.

Arthit closed his eyes, letting out uneven breaths. He tightened his hold on the other male.

"I-I'm sorry, I'm soo sorry."

Bright sniffled, hearing the latter's voice made him break the walls. "You idiot! Why did you leave us!?"

Arthit continued to caress the latter's back, letting the other speak whatever he wants. His eyes darted towards the others. Seeing everyone after such a long time brought an immense whirlpool of emotions to him, he regretted what he had done now. The soft gazes they were giving made him feel the same feeling of acceptance as before.

"Why are you the only one to hug him!?" Tootah's teary voice was heard the next second.

The latter rushed towards them, hugging the two males. Sniffling and crying. Followed by Knott and Prem who were trying their best to control their emotions yet failing as each second passed. That was the last straw Arthit had, he broke down in the middle of their group hug. He left himself stumble back with the force around him, the warmth around him was overwhelming. Hearing the cries and teary complaints of his friends made him cry hard.

Kongpob watched with a soft smile, tears trickling down his cheeks, seeing the gang get complete. Having the person who wasn't there for long. Everything was perfect now.

He felt a pat on his shoulder, turning his gaze he came face to face with a smiling Aim. Who wrapped his arm around his shoulder.

"Thank you for bringing him here, Kong."

Kongpob looked at the rest of his friends, who with misty eyes stared at him.

"I didn't do anything, it was P'Arthit's choice."

Aim shook his head."You helped him, helped him realise that he was important to all of us even though he wasn't there with us for the past few years."

"As far as what you told us, we think he needed that assurance. And you gave that." Prae added, stepping forward to hug her friend.

"I-I just wanted him back. It was not his fault. Entirely." Kongpob bit his lips, feeling a lump in his throat, making it hard for him to speak.

Prae nodded, "We know, Kong. We know."

His friends didn't say anything further or ask him questions. It was as if they saw through him, the unsaid words, they understood. They had seen how lost he was all these years. Feeling incomplete, they never told him to forget Arthit because they knew he couldn't. No one could. And Kongpob was thankful for that. They never forced him but gave him time. Even now.

All of them sat down after their fair share of tears, the juniors hugging the senior and voicing out that they were happy to have him back. Arthit sat between Prem and Tootah, opposite to the youngers, even though with a lot of hesitation Arthit was able to talk about to them, about everything.

Glancing at Kongpob from time to time who kept staring at him as he talked about what had happened. The revelation was a part of the explanation Kongpob needed too, and Arthit knows it well. But the elder knows at the same time that this wasn't enough. They would talk soon, he promised himself.

The horror-stricken faces of their friends after Arthit was done talking were scary to see, for Arthit it was. The concern everyone had made him feel as if his insides were ready to burst. He told them everything, even about how he was almost going to be a hooker if not for Kongpob's arrival. He didn't speak about the struggles he and Kongpob had gone through, that was their secret, something that only they knew. And he wanted it to stay the same. So he just outlined the incidents after he and the younger had met. And he's thankful that they didn't judge him, the fear he had vanishing.

"I should have punched you in the face." Bright glared at Arthit. And the latter received a smack on the back of his head from Tootah.

"Do you know how worried we were, Arthit?" Prem clenched his jaw. And Arthit could only stare down at his lap, not having the courage to look up at them.

"Knowing what you might have gone through alone, without anyone beside you hurt us soo much. We are not even sure how many months we spend trying to get to you. But you just vanished into thin air!" Tootah exclaimed, he know he shouldn't speak like that to his friend but Arthit has to know. He should know that he means a lot to them too.

"Your sudden disappearance was a shock to us. To all of us. It's more of a hard blow on Kongpob than any of us." Kongpob gasped hearing Knott's words.

"The pain that he had gone through trying to search for you, we saw it Arthit. He loves you soo much, your disappearance affected him. I'm not blaming you but I want you to know that we cared too."

Kongpob gulped he stood up, not wanting to be there any longer. "I-I want to use the restroom."

Everyone watched in silence as Kongpob jogged away, disappearing from there. Arthit sat dumbfounded, staring at the younger's figure until he was nowhere to be seen.

"It's too much for him," Maprang mumbled, sighing as she looked up at the others.

"We know you went through a lot too, Arthit. Everyone had their struggles and we can't compare them with others. But we want you to know that he had a share of the pain too." Knott made sure that his statement has the desired effect on the latter and it did, seeing Arthit bit his lips and clench his palms made him sigh.

"We can see that you both still haven't come out of your boundaries set for eachother." Prem patted Arthit's shoulder, offering a smile when the latter turned to stare at him surprised.

They could see that Kongpob and Arthit weren't back together. And of course, they didn't have a say in it, after all these years, even though the two are the best for eachother, they can't force them to get back together, that too this early. The two have to do that themselves. The last time when they cornered Kongpob they could see the younger was having his own insecurities and uncertainties. They knew Kongpob want the elder back, for him, for them, but were unaware of how he should do it.

And now they can see it in Arthit too. The way Arthit always kept glancing at Kongpob whenever he was speaking about the past, the way his eyes held a hint of concern or apology, gave the latter away in front of them.

"Go talk to him, P'Arthit."

Arthit looked up at Tew. "But what if he doesn't want to talk now?"

Tew shook his head, "Trust us. He needs someone to talk to now, assure him. And no one is enough for that except you at this moment."

Arthit took a deep breath. He stood up, still unsure, but he made his way towards the restroom after Bright instructed which direction he should be taking. The latter even advised him to take a walk outside with the younger male.

Stepping into the restroom Arthit's face scrunched in pain, seeing Kongpob covering his mouth, eyes closed, shoulders shaking. Clearly crying. The water running from the tap. Probably to tune out the sound of his cries. Arthit took a deep breath, stepping forward.

"You're wasting water."

The younger was startled at the sudden voice behind him. He quickly stood straight. Wiped his tears. Staring down as he closed the tap. He didn't dare to raise his head, the elder would probably see his puffy eyes through the mirror.

"Sorry."

Arthit smiled, "Are you crying?"

"No! I-I'm not." Kongpob's eyes widened,

The elder raised an eyebrow, "Really?"

Kongpob sighed, still not ready to face the elder."What is it P'Arthit? Do you need something?"

"Do you need something?" Arthit asked, staring right into the mirror in front of them. He could see Kongpob glancing at him through his lashes.

"Huh?"

"Come out for a walk with me?" Arthit gave a nervous smile when they held eye contact for a moment before Kongpob nodded his head.

They stepped out of the bar through the back door, the evening sky's orange hue falling on them. Arthit glanced at Kongpob who silently walked beside him, looking up at the sky. The younger's cheeks were slightly red, eyes puffy. He remembered that it was only about him all this time, he didn't try to understand what Kongpob might have gone through, or how much pain he might have endured due to his disappearance. Sure Kongpob had vaguely stated about it during their arguments in the beginning, but the latter never went deep into it.

"How did you hold on, Kong?"

Arthit's sudden question made Kongpob stop in his tracks. He looked up to meet the other's concerned, dark hazel orbs. Pain filled in them.

"How did you hold on when I left you? Didn't you hate me at all for leaving you like that?"

Kongpob smiled, "I can never hate you, P'Arthit."

Arthit bit his quivering lips. "But you deserved to know what was going on. And I left you in the middle of everything. Didn't you hate me for at least a second? Thought that I was a fool for running away?"

"P'Arthit!" Kongpob shook his head, he can't let the latter insult himself like that. "Don't say that please, you're not a fool. You did what you thought was right at that moment and I don't hate you for that."

"I didn't hate you, I was disappointed. Disappointed at everything, how life treated you, how unfair life was to us for snatching you away from me. I was sad that you left me, but I never felt that I hated you, P'Arthit. I could never hate you, I loved you." I still do. Kongpob gulped.

A heavy breath left Arthit's lips. Did he deserve the sincerity that the younger was showing him? How could he leave someone soo precious? Almost giving up on life, yet the one who he thought he would never be able to see or feel their presence was the one who helped him to get up. Kongpob was only angry because HE didn't take care of himself because HE wasn't ready to live a better life. The younger had cried for him, and worked out things for him. How blessed was he?

"I'm sorry, Kong. I'm sorry that I couldn't give you what you wanted even after all these months of us staying together."

Kongpob stared at the elder, confused.

Arthit took the latter's hand in his, caressing the back of the slightly cold palm."I know that you deserved the explanation before I did to our friends, Kongpob. And I apologise for it. I left you behind when we were lovers, without a clue about what had happened. You deserve an explanation. I'm sorry I didn't dare to speak to you like this."

A shaky breath left the younger's lips.

"I'm sorry that I wasn't able to fulfil my promise to you, Kong. Sorry that I lied to you that I'll come back. Our last conversation had always been a treasure to me, that night I was afraid to call you, and the thought that I won't be seeing you again haunted me. But then your call came, despite everything I was the happiest at that moment, hearing your voice. I'm sorry I was selfish back then, I lied to you, I gave you hope. I'm sorry."

Arthit's words brought back painful memories to the younger. It felt hard to take a normal breath, feeling as if something was choking him. He remembered that very night, their last conversation before Arthit disappeared. That night he had called the latter asking when he would come back since the latter had gone to his parent's house. He was unaware of the events that took place. When Arthit told him he'll come back soon Kongpob believed it. But after a few days, realising that he won't be seeing the elder anymore he was devastated.

"I-I couldn't face you, Kong. The blames of my family, of society was all in my head. They judged me based on a family that went bankrupt, who lost their family business. With parents who suicided. I was blinded by their words, and still was until you came back to my life."

"You are the heir to one of the prestigious companies in Thailand. You basically grew up with all the riches and pampering. I know you are not the one to show off everything to others, I know you don't flaunt your riches. But back then, I was ashamed to stand in front of you after my family went downhill, people pushing us away as if we were not fit in the society."

Kongpob's eyes widened, he didn't think Arthit had all these thoughts in him. "P'Arthit-"

Arthit shook his head and the younger bit his lips, stopping himself from talking further.

"I was afraid you would push me too. I couldn't handle that, Kong. You were the only one left for me and I didn't want to part ways with anger and disappointment. I wanted our happy memories to stay as it was, without hurtful words or moments following them. So I did what I felt like doing, I ran away leaving you with hopes. I was selfish."

"Now I know what I did was wrong, I can only apologise to you, Kong. I don't know what else to do. I'm sorry." Arthit tried to smile smiled with eyes teary as he watched Kongpob sob silently in front of him.

They stayed in silence for the next few seconds before Kongpob raised his gaze on the elder.

"I-I'm sorry if I pressurised you, P. I didn't think you would ever feel that way. Yes, I was hurt, it pained soo much. It was hard, I never got over it but now seeing you in front of me, striving through everything, I know you had it worse than me yet you didn't give up."

The closure Kongpob got made him feel at ease, he could now understand why Arthit did that. And he would never blame him, the human mind was unpredictable, they worked in the most unexpected ways at times. Arthit thought what he did was right in the past but he now realised it was all his insecurities that made him do it. Kongpob was just happy that Arthit was able to voice this out to him. Making both of their minds clear.

"I'm happy that we're getting our Arthit back." Kongpob smiled through his tears. "We're happy that you're trying, making efforts to come out of your shell. Thank you for coming back to us, P'Arthit."

Arthit didn't think further as he leaned forward, cupped Kongpob's cheeks and pressed a tender kiss on his forehead. His lips lingered a little longer on the younger's golden skin before he parted away.

"Thank you for giving me this chance, Kong."

The smile that he received from the younger was all that he needed. Feeling as if a huge weight was pushed off of his shoulders. The acceptance Kongpob had given him was everything he ever needed.

"You're going to see Rome?" Bright asked, hearing Arthit speak about it to Kongpob as they were about to leave.

They were about to part ways, it was already past 7 and they had spent quality time together. Letting Arthit know everything he had missed over the past few years, joking and laughing as they used to in the old days.

"Yeah, we visit him every night. We'll go meet him and then head back." Arthit smiled.

"Can we come too?" Tootah asked, he had really missed that little boy, Rome was always a darling for them. He was their best friend's brother after all.

Arthit glanced at Kongpob as they smiled, "Sure, why not. He'll be happy to see you all."

Arthit couldn't help but chuckle seeing the wide smiles and excitement washed over their friends' faces. Even his juniors were excited to meet Rome, they did hear stories of his younger brother from the seniors and they were curious to meet him. Especially after what happened to the latter, they think they can be good friends too.

Everyone got into their respective vehicles they had come in, Kongpob's car driving at the front while the others followed. They even decided to stop at a few shops to buy gifts for Rome, even though Arthit rejected the idea they were adamant about it, claiming they can't go empty-handed to see their dear nong. Arthit felt content after soo long, he was happy to have his friends back.

He was afraid to meet them just like how he was with Kongpob in the beginning. But they invited him with open arms, without judgements. He realised he had misunderstood everyone, there were people who loved him and cared for him. When he thought no one was there for him, buried with the rejections he received, he failed to see the love that was there for him. He should have opened his eyes more to realise who was really there for him. If only...There was no use in thinking about the past now, there is nothing he can change in there, but now, at this very moment he feels the happiest knowing he has got back what he had lost.

He realised that love, care and acceptance aren't necessary to be received from his own family, by blood. There are people who accept him for who he was outside the blood relations he holds. He feels guilty that he didn't realise it in the past, but now he has truly got a family. This was his family now. He doesn't care about the ones whose fake love and smiles had blinded him back then.

"He's gonna be surprised to see you all." Arthit smiled widely, holding onto the doorknob.

He slowly opened it, peeking to see if his brother was asleep or not. He smiled when he spotted the latter in a wheelchair, sitting beside the window of the room.

"Rome," Arthit called out softly, getting in first as he closed the door behind. They would come in when he gives them the signal.

"P'Arthit, you're early today." Rome smiled wide, starting to move the wheelchair to go beside his brother but Arthit stopped him as he walked closer.

"Well, I came today with a surprise for you."

Rome's eyebrows furrowed, "Surprise?"

Arthit chuckled, ruffling the younger's hair, "Yes, surprise."

"You have guests today."

Rome's eyes widened, the only people he had seen after he had woken up from the coma were the hospital staff, his P'Arthit and Kongpob. To know people were coming over to see him excited him. "Who?"

With a mischievous grin on his lips, Arthit turned towards the door. "Come in guys!"

Rome waited with a wide smile, startled when the door opened, followed by loud cheering.

"Surprise!"

Rome's out flew open as he gasped. Identifying the familiar faces of his brother's friends among the group. He doesn't know who the others were, except for Kongpob, but he's sure they might be his brother's other friends.

The fact that surprised him more was how they had lots of balloons, flowers and gifts for him. It whelmed him. He was soon engulfed in tight hugs by each of them.

"We missed you soo much, Rome."

The younger was teared up, hugging them back. Thanking all of them for the lovely surprise.

"Why didn't you come to see me then? You guys are late." Rome pouted, though he said that playfully he could see the change of expressions on their faces.

"Come on, that was a joke! I know you guys might have been busy." Rome smiled wide, glancing at everyone.

Arthit and Kongpob shook their heads when their friends eyed them questioningly. The others nodded their heads understanding that Rome doesn't know about it.

"Oh, by the way, Rome, they're Kongpob's friends." Arthit tried to divert the topic and he introduced each one of Kongpob's friends to Rome.

"It's soo nice to finally meet you, we have heard a lot about you from them." May pointed at the seniors, smiling at the younger.

"Oh! What did you say about me P'Arthit?" Rome eyed his brother suspiciously.

Arthit shrugged his shoulders, smirking, "All good, nothing bad."

The younger raised his eyebrows, "I don't believe that one bit!"

Everyone fell into a peal of comfortable laughter seeing the brothers bicker, the seniors had missed seeing such moments and the juniors were seeing a new side of Arthit. Everyone enjoyed it every bit.

Arthit stepped away from his brother as the latter was excitedly talking to their friends as he opened the gifts. He walked towards Kongpob who stood by the wall, smiling warmly as he watched the interaction in front of him.

"Kong."

The younger turned to face Arthit, his smile unwavering. He was surprised when Arthit laid his head on his shoulder. Intertwining their fingers.

"Thank you. Thank you for everything." Kongpob smiled, hearing the whisper, he didn't protest when the elder hugged him, he let himself be drowned in the embrace.

Rome glanced at the two males at the corner of the room. A smile formed on his lips as he zoned out of the conversation they were having.

Suddenly Rome nudged Knott who was beside him. "I have a question P."

"What is it, nong?" Knott smiled.

"What do you think about P'Arthit and P'Kong? Is something going on between them?"

"He won't come running to you if you keep staring at him, Arthit."

The gang laughed when they received a death glare from their dear friend.

"Shut up," Arthit murmured. His gaze darted towards the younger male who was further away from where they sat, taking a stroll beside the seashore.

"Seriously, you both should stop the cat and mouse play." Prem pointed out, his arm wrapped around Wad's shoulder who was sipping his glass of cold beer.

Arthit shrugged his shoulders, "What are you guys talking about?"

"You can fool Kong but not us, Arthit." Tootah pointed at him.

Arthit sighed, resuming to take gulps from his glass of beer. They were on a short vacation at the beach on their friends' insistence on spending time together. It's been months since he had the talk with their friends, he had even completed the exams for the 3rd year final semester and scored pretty good grades. Though Kongpob made it seem like he had won the hardest exam in the world with the way the younger treated him with movie night and dinner.

He and Kongpob had grown closer over the months, after he had given the younger his deserved explanation it seemed as if a line they had drawn between them had vanished. They were more open to eachother, still not ready to make the move though. Arthit knew very well that the feelings he held were no joke, he felt the same about the younger even after all those years. He loved the man. And he knows Kongpob does too but something was stopping him, maybe the same thing that was stopping Kongpob too. He doesn't know.

"P'Oon, will you stop overthinking?"

Arthit was startled at Rome's words. He raised his gaze on his brother who was rolling his eyes at him. Bright chuckling behind him, Arthit glared at him, why was Bright and Rome aiming him like a group?

"I'm not, Rome."

Rome raised his hand to slap Arthit's shoulder, he was glad that he was able to come on the trip with his brother even though he has to sit in the wheelchair. He can put some sense into Arthit's head. "Yes, you're. I know you. You should talk to P'Kong and ask him to be your boyfriend."

The gang laughed when they saw Arthit's eyes turn wide in horror.

"It's not something we don't know Arthit! You both basically eye fuck eachother across the table!"

"We don't Tootah!" Arthit rubbed his hands across his face.

Even his juniors were laughing at him and Arthit was embarrassed. He was embarrassed at himself for not knowing what to do.

"Arthit." Knott smiled softly at the frustrated male, the whole table turned silent as the latter started to speak.

"You both had gone through soo much, you both had your share of pain and disappointment. Yet here you two are, destiny brought you together. It has been almost a year. Unknowingly or knowingly you both helped eachother to come out of your shells. Isn't this a sign itself?"

Arthit clenched his hands. Feeling suffocated at the same time feeling as if he can breathe again.

"Kong loves you, P'Arthit. You don't have to worry about being declined by him." Wad voiced out, smiling at the elder.

"Yeah, just like you he doesn't want to push you. God knows how many times we tried to get him to confess to you but he won't budge! He is afraid you're not ready yet, that and this. I can't even find the logic in all the excuses he gave us." Aim looked frustrated just thinking about it making everyone laugh, even Arthit chuckled.

"So you better use this romantic atmosphere, Arthit!" Tootah squealed, resting his head between his palms, looking dreamingly at the starry night sky.

"Yes! The ocean, sky filled with stars, cold breeze! What is more romantic than this?" May smiled wide as she exclaimed and Aim stared at her with a soft smile on his lips.

Arthit gulped. He doesn't know what to do. He was very much tempted to do what he wanted to do for a long time, but he was insecure too. Would Kongpob want him back?

"Go, P'Arthit." Rome shook his brother, "I want P'Kong as my brother-in-law and that's final."

Arthit sighed at his brother's supposed threat. Rome knows everything now, that Kongpob was his ex who he had left behind. He told his brother everything after the latter was discharged from the hospital. He had no other way than to explain to Rome about him and Kongpob so the younger won't ask questions about what was going on between them. But he was surprised at the same time when Rome told him he had asked about it to the elder's friends and they had vaguely given him the picture, later claiming Arthit would tell him the rest when he was ready.

"You heard it, Arthit. Go! Shoo! Get your 0062 back!" Bright raised his thumbs. And the rest of them smiled encouragingly at him.

"Do I have to do it now?"

Knott stood up, pulled Arthit up and pushed him towards the direction of the seashore. "If not now you won't ever do it, Arthit. Now go."

Arthit was nervous for sure. He kept glancing back at his friends as he walked forward, they were giving him thumbs up but his racing heartbeat wasn't of any help. Taking a deep breath he made up his mind. His eyes caught up with the dark figure taking strolls on the beach, still unaware of his approach.

The younger had left the table after emptying his glass of beer, telling he wanted to take a walk. No one said anything of course and even though Arthit wanted to follow the younger he stopped himself from doing so. Even though it was his friends who forced him to go up to Kongpob he know he wanted this too.

Kongpob had done soo much for him, he was even ready to talk to Arthit's family if the latter wanted to go back, but Arthit and Rome denied the suggestion. They were happy as they were now, this was their family, they don't need anyone else. Kongpob had been hurt by him too, even during the first stage of their relationship he had hurt the younger yet Kongpob had always been that understanding partner to him. So now he was going to take matters into his hand and make the first move.

"Kong?" Arthit called out softly, not wanting to startle the younger.

Kongpob stopped in his tracks, he turned around hearing the familiar voice."What are you doing here, P?"

The elder raised an eyebrow, "Taking a walk of course."

The younger nodded his head, embarrassed at asking such a stupid question.

"You had been walking here for a long time. Anything on your mind?" Arthit walked up to stand beside the younger, both of them resuming to walk. The sound of the waves crashing surprisingly calmed the elder. Or was it the warmth he felt being close to the younger?

"Nothing much." Kongpob shrugged his shoulders.

"Really? Lying doesn't suit you, Kong."

Kongpob sighed, he put on a convincing smile on his lips and faced the elder. "It's nothing important, P'Arthit. I was just thinking about everything that had been going on."

Arthit hummed at the response. They continued to walk silently, the elder tried his best to come up with a way to confess, he felt as if he was stuck. He couldn't get the right words to speak out.

Kongpob glanced at Arthit, smiling softly at the sight of the elder male. His milky skin glistened under the moonlight, those soft dark hair swaying with the breeze. Handsome as always. Even a close contact with the other would take his breath away. But contrasting to the beautiful man in front of him he saw how his breathing turned heavy, shoulders tensed.

"Wanna sit for some time?" Kongpob asked, he observed that the elder looked nervous too, he doesn't have any idea what was going through that pretty head but he knew the latter has to calm down, the man looked as if he was hyperventilating even though the latter was unaware of it himself.

"Sure."

Kongpob chuckled as he watched Arthit immediately sit down on the sand, a sigh leaving the other's lips as he crossed his legs in front of him, hugging his knees.

"Where are you going?" Arthit asked when he noticed Kongpob wasn't making any move to sit with him.

Kongpob just smiled, shrugging his shoulders. Arthit watched the latter walk ahead into the sea, the waves crashing on the younger's feet now. He heard the small giggles from the latter as the water hits his skin.

The scene made him smile, at the same time it brought out memories of the past to him. The beach trip during University, the gear giving ceremony, Kongpob's indirect confession. Followed by the days they spend as lovers. Everything came crashing down on him, making him realise once again that he was soo deeply in love with the man in front of him.

For others, Kongpob might be the heir of a big company, a young businessman. But for him, Kongpob had always been his Kong, his 0062, his cheesy junior and once lover. In the corner of his heart, deep inside him, Kongpob was always his home. Who he had yearned for even in his absence.

Arthit's eyes widened the next second. He came up to his feet, fear in his mind as he rushed into the water. The sight of Kongpob tripping, splashing into the sea was fresh in his mind. The waves were fast and higher and Kongpob couldn't get up from the force.

"Kong!"

Arthit grabbed onto the younger's hand that was visible after the wave hit, almost making him lose his own balance. He pulled the latter up, the younger gasping and coughing. Arthit guided the other to the shore. His own clothes were wet but he didn't care about it.

"What were you trying to do!? You could have drowned Kongpob!" Arthit was frustrated, it was as if the memories were on repeat. The time when the younger had practically drowned himself in the sea during their beach trip from University flashed through his mind.

"I-It's fine, P." Kongpob coughed, wiping his face, trying to regain his vision. "I just slipped."

"Why did you go further into the water!? Couldn't you just stay at the shore?! Are you trying to leave me!?"

Kongpob's hands halted in his face. And Arthit realised what he had just said making him gulp. Everything seemed too quiet, he could hear their friends shouting their names from far, probably by seeing them in the water but he didn't care. His gaze was fixed on the younger, the way the latter stilled, lips parted as he stared at him, blinking his eyes. The moon's glow falling on the honey skin, water sliding along his skin. Arthit felt as if he had fallen into a spell.

"P'Arthit, do you think I'll lea-"

The younger's eyes widened, feeling the pair of firm lips pressed into his. Kongpob closed his eyes, gasping into the kiss when Arthit's palms slipped onto his face, cupping his cheeks. The younger melted into the kiss, the soft and tender one, completely different from what he had felt from Arthit during those initial months of their stays together.

This kiss was soo much different, a kiss that he had missed soo much. Emotions that he had yearned for. The surging tide of warmth from Arthit's soft lips made him go limp. His graceful tongue parted his trembling lips, sending wild tremors along the younger's nerves, evoking his sensations.

Kongpob clutched onto Arthit's shoulders, gripping the latter's shirt as he sighed contently into the kiss. Moving his lips, nibbling onto the elder's lower lip. Feeling the wave's gentle caresses on their feet.

Though the cold breeze made the younger feel as if he was freezing, the warmth of the elder compensated for everything. And he immediately felt cold once again when they parted, realising later that he was indeed out of breath.

With hooded minds and heavy breaths, they stared into each other's eyes. Still holding eachother close.

"Kong," Arthit's whisper sends shivers down him.

"Hmm?"

"I love you."

A shaky breath left Kongpob's lips, his eyes softened. His hold on the elder's shirt tightened as he started to feel overwhelmed."P'Arthit-"

"Will you give me a chance? To make everything right? Will you be ready to love this man once again? Because I can't stay away from you any longer, Kong." Tears were rolling down the elder's hazel orbs and Kongpob leaned forward, kissing them away.

Arthit waited with batted breaths, stiffening with the way Kongpob's lips caressed his cheeks. He doesn't know where he had got the courage from, he wasn't planning to do it this way but somehow his body moved on his own. His senses worked on his own. The next thing he knew he was kissing the love of his life.

When Kongpob parted and cupped his face, staring at him with a small smile. Those charcoal orbs holding soo much love, Arthit felt a smile stretch across his lips too.

"So, will you be my boyfriend?" Arthit asked.

Kongpob chuckled, nodding his head. "Yes, yes I will. I love you soo much P'Arthit. Soo much."

They leaned in for a short peck before drawing eachother into their warm embraces. Startled when they heard squeals and screams. They laughed into each other's shoulders realising their friends have been watching them.

When they parted and turned to face their friends they were drowned with congratulations.

"Finally!" Tootah high fived with the juniors.

"I said to bring him as your boyfriend not devour him like that P'Oon!" Rome shouted yet smiling soo wide. Happy for his brother and Kongpob.

The couple walked hand in hand towards their friends, Arthit's eyes landing a glare on Bright who stood holding onto his brother's wheelchair.

"You're rubbing off on him, Bright! I don't want to deal with another Bright in my house!" Arthit warned him and the latter only shrugged his shoulders, still smiling at the couple.

Arthit pulled Kongpob ahead, leaving the friends to continue their teasing at the back.

"Come, you should get changed, or else you might catch cold."

Kongpob smiled wider than he already was, tightening his hold on their intertwined hands. The action stoped Arthit, making him turn to face his lover.

With a tender smile on his face, the younger whispered, "I love you, P'Ai Oon."

Dimples graced the elder's cheeks, hearing the nickname from the younger. He had missed this soo much.

"I love you too, Kong."
