Pepper padded away from the hay bale fortress leaving her brother to think, she yawned dismissively now beginning to realize how tired she really was. I should get some rest She thought to herself. Swiftly she dug her claws into one of the wooden steeples and raced up it. She reached the top with a pant and padded over to her nest, she flopped into it and sighed.

        She thought of all the adventures her and Ace would have once they found a new home. They would get to run in the woods with the cold air ruffling their fur. She sighed again, that was the life she wanted, one were she and her family were free. And now here was her chance, her chance to be free.

        Pepper closed her eyes curling around herself and with one last rumbling purr, she let sleep take over her limbs. The ease of energy returning to her lithe body felt good. After all her grief for Shiloh that she had felt inside herself, she felt better. Finally she fell into a deep sleep, the sun shining through a small window danced along her flank keeping her warm, yet making her more tired. She didn't remember anymore until she felt a painful jab to her stomach

        "Wake up!" Ace mewed, "Mom wants us to eat" Pepper sighed slowly getting up to find three small mice, they were still warm which meant they had just been killed. "did you catch these?" Pepper asked curiously. "no...." Ace mewed in return "I only caught one, mom got the rest" Pepper nodded taking one and taking a bit into its flesh, she let out a purr as she swallowed the small bite.

        Slowly she continued biting into the mouse's warm flesh a soothing feeling running across her limbs. She swallowed down the last bite before acknowledging her brother "thankyou" she mewed before padding away. Her paws carried her to the window were she searched for the suns position, not long now and they would leave, leaving Bonny wondering were her family had gone.

       Pepper shook her head and padded to the edge of the loft bunching up her muscles and springing down. Many thoughts crossed her mind like will Bonny worry about us? Will we be safe? Will we ever find a home? Pepper only pushed the boiling questions away. She looked over to her side to see her mother and Bonny deep in conversation. They glanced over at her, Bonny gave her a suspicous look before turning back to Ruby.

        Pepper shrugged weird... She thought padding away to lay on a haybale. She jumped up onto one of the smaller bales and began to clean any matted fur that lay across her fur. She licked vigourusly at one specific spot trying to break the matted area. Pepper gave up with a sigh laying her head down on her paws. She was so bored, waiting for night to fall. "I think im going to go take a nap" Pepper heard Bonny mew. She watched as Bonny flicked her tail and padded towards the loft. Ruby looked at Pepper flicking her tail to come.

         Pepper went up to her mother "What is it?" She mewed. Ruby glanced towards Bonny "were leaving early, go find Ace and meet me outside" Pepper nodded racing off to find her brother "Ace!" She hissed quietly lurking around "Ace!" She mewed again as she finally caught sight of the small tom. "What is it?" He grumbled. Pepper glared at him, what was his problem? "Were leaving early, Bonny's gone to nap" Ace's eyes filled with a kit like determination and he nodded.

        Pepper led him to were Ruby was basking herself outside. "Ready?" She mewed eagerly to the Pepper and Ace, they both nodded racing after there mother who had reached the end of the road. Ruby placed a paw on it and perked her ears, "Lets go.." She mewed nudging them across the road. Pepper glanced back at the barn she had lived in for so long, letting out a long suppresing sigh before wandering after her family into the woods.
