Naruto

I curled and uncurled my fists ready to punch him to death if I had to.

Nagato was the captain of the Special Forces team when I first joined nine years ago. Then for the next two years, I was played a fool by this man.

"Naruto-kun?" I felt Hinata's presence suddenly come up to me. I immediately pushed her behind me and against my back so my entire 6-foot frame was blocking every inch of her 5'2" body.

Nagato can't see her. He will use her against me. Deep down if I'm not careful around him, he would snatch her up and make me chase them all the way around the world until I find them again.

I would. But I'd take physical torture rather then not knowing where she is.

"Is that your wife, Kyuubi?" Nagato took two small steps towards me, his hands tucked behind his suit.

I only kept my hand on Hinata's arm, making sure she isn't going anywhere or he can lay a finger on her.

"Or you didn't pop the question yet, huh?" He laughed sickeningly. "You know if you hand her over to me, I can pop more than just a question, if you know what I mean."

"Touch her and I'll kill you again you son of a bitch," I growled.

"You tried remember?" He threw his arms up, a mocking smirk on his face. "But you failed, Captain. You failed miserably."

"I won't miss again, Nagato," I replied.

Nagato didn't care, he only snapped his fingers once for the guy with orange hair to walk off in a different direction, car keys in hand.

"We'll meet again Captain Kyuubi, Beautiful Doctor," Nagato said taking one step backwards.

How did that jerk -

"Like I said; we'll meet again."

Japanese Support Base Camp

Hinata

Who was Nagato? What happened? Did you kill him, Naruto-kun? Why?

All burning questions that burned my ride the entire ride back to base. Naruto didn't say anything but her held my hand as he drove as if he let go, I'd be taken away by the red-headed man.

I didn't ask him any questions because I know he won't answer.

Nagato was a thorn of Naruto's past.

There is someone who just might answer my questions so right when my boyfriend parked the car at camp, I jumped out.

"Hey, hey," Naruto ran around the car. "I'm sorry you had to see that. He is the last person I ever wanted you to meet."

I shook my head once, "It's fine, Naruto-kun. Really."

The captain nodded once, "Okay."

"Hey, I'm gotta run but I'll see you later," Grabbing his shoulder gently, I planted a quick kiss on his lips before taking off.

I could feel his eyes burning on my back as I entered the dining hall, looking for the familiar black spiky hair but for whatever reason he didn't follow me like he usually would. Good, I don't really want him here when I ask these question that I knew he can never answer for me.

"Sasuke-kun! Sakura-chan!" I called as he started descending down the steps, Sakura in tow. She was holding a clipboard while he was struggling with two gigantic boxes blocking most of his face.

"Who is that?" The deputy said. "Is that Hinata?"

His wife nodded, "What's up?"

"Can I ask you two something, please?" I asked. "After you're done with whatever you're doing hey Sakura are you still punishing him?"

She laughed, hitting him gently with her clipboard, "Nah, I just caught him lounging around in his office so I made use of him."

I sat down at the dining table first playing with the walkie in my hand. That was the first time I have ever seen Naruto so flustered about someone ever. And what does he mean that he had already killed the man once before?

Does that mean...

"So!" Sakura sat down directly across from me with a loud sigh, waking me out of my daze. She pulled her own husband next to her. "What do you have for us?"

"Who's N-Nagato?"

Sasuke's lazy posture almost automatically straightened. The horror that passed through his eyes proved that this Nagato character is indeed someone that shouldn't be messed with.

"H-how?" Sakura even looked terrified with the name.

I crossed my legs, "We had a run in with him in town. Purple eyes, different from mines and red hair."

"B-but," Sakura shook her head. "Impossible. Naruto killed him!"

"That's disturbing news," Sasuke started showing visible signs of being very uncomfortable.

"Wait," the wife looked at her husband whose focus was glued to the table. "You were there. You saw Naruto kill him."

Sasuke looked at her, "He did. We all believed he was dead! The coroner said he was!" Then he shut his eyes, "The coroner was in on it..."

"Sasuke!"

"We need to let the commander know that Nagato is still wandering these streets," the deputy suddenly got up but his wife grabbed his arm.

"Then what?" she asked.

"Then I promise I won't let anything happen to you," the way Sasuke looked at her reassured her completely. He leaned down, kissed her hair before running up the stairs into his office.

Sakura sat silently with me for a few more minutes and I didn't ask any more questions just in case I said something that might upset her anymore than it already has. I felt a little guilty that my curiosity put us in this position right now.

"I-I'm sorry," I said.

The medic looked at me with a sad smile, "It isn't your fault Eskon is so messed up that criminals don't die when you shoot them the first time. How is that idiotic captain anyway?"

"He was," how should I say this? "Distracted. I was about to go see if he is okay or if he needed anything...Maybe some of that soup Kazuki made for dinner last night or something."

Sakura's emerald eyes that were filled with worry suddenly melted into something that immediately made me want to curl into a ball.

"Are you two back together?" she asked, in the little teenager voice that made the situation all the more embarrassing than it was.

I mentally scolded myself for being so careless. If anybody were to find out that yeah we were back together, I had always thought it'd be Naruto who would be spilling not me. Too late now I guess.

I sighed, "He managed to win me over."

As if that lit a fire under her butt, Sakura sprang upwards screaming at the top of her lungs the loudest "yes" I have ever heard in my life that it was literally deafening. I watched her continue her little fangirl dance all the while cheering like the cheerleader she was in college. I had no idea that my love life can bring so much joy to a person.

I had no idea.

"I'm done," she said after a good five minutes of complete bouncing around. "I'm done but yeah, you should probably go check on Naruto."

I stood up but sat back down, "But can you tell me what kind of relationship Naruto-kun had with Nagato?"

It was Sakura's turn to let out a heavy breath as she began speaking, "A year after you, um, left Naruto, he quit school and joined the military as a way to recover from what happened between you two. After about a year, Naruto was put on the Special Forces team and under Captain Nagato."

"Nagato was from the SF team?" my eyes widened.

Sakura nodded, "And someone who helped Naruto through all the hard times so it's nothing new that Naruto looked up to him like he was some kind of saint. When Sasuke and the other guys were later put on the team, Naruto was deputy with Nagato still as captain and at the time literally blinded by all of Nagato's involvement with the literal underworld. Sasuke had to show him footage after footage of drug deals, arms deals and many, many other things but it never convinced him. That idiot even punched my husband once when Sasuke said something pretty hurtful but still he didn't need to be punched! Then one night, Nagato wanted to rope Naruto into everything."

"Rope him how?"

"Since Naruto was recovering from a woman, Nagato thought it would be such a great idea to have him sleep with some of the women the trafficked and get him addicted in that way and follow him into that world but of course that only pissed him off. I think he mumbled something about how if he ever were to do it ever again that it would be with one person," she smiled at me. "That one person he can never stop loving."

Surprisingly, Naruto is one loyal guy even if it he had zero idea that we were ever going to get back together. But not the time!

The blushing intensity on my cheeks made me wave my hands frantically, "J-Just continue the story!"

She chuckled but soon the seriousness took over once again, "When Nagato trapped him in a room with three other women expecting him or them to do things to one another, Naruto literally kicked the door down and punched Nagato for that. When he returned to base, he set the team straight to work on trying to get Nagato turned in."

"And that's when..."

Sakura sighed, looked away for a few seconds, "Yep, they got the green flag to arrest him and bring him in which one day became an order for his head with Naruto as the new captain. He was the one behind the gun that pulled the trigger because of all that anger a-and betrayal, he did it without thinking. For all these years, though. That bastard's been alive and still running around so Naruto never really kill him."

I didn't say anything right away when Sakura finished with a scoffed which probably scared her.

"Hey, don't look at Naruto as monster though, okay?" The medic said. "He was only doing his job."

"Who said that I saw him as that?" I raised an eyebrow.

"Well when you first arrived here, I remember you literally flinching every time Naruto did that thing where he tucks his thumb into his belt."

I dismissed the thought with a waved my hand, "I was still in shock that a jerk like Naruto gets to carry a gun around but I think you know by now that I'm way past that."

Sakura sighed loudly, "Good 'cause I don't know how we're all gonna survive yet another Naruto and Hinata break up. But you guys seriously haven't done anything yet?"

"Eh?!"

"You know," she smirked. "The deed considering that now you're back together and your love is so much more passionate and

"A-and I should probably go check on him," I jumped out of my seat. "Thanks for the story."

"Hinata!"

But I didn't stop since that is a conversation I never want to have with anybody no matter how close they are to me.

I don't think I'll survive until the end of it.

Soldiers and other medics greeted me as I wandered the camp in search of the said captain. To my luck, nobody has seen him since before we left camp which means they didn't see me give him a kiss either.

Okay that's good.

My phone beeped once. Half-expecting my boyfriend to have sent me a text telling me he's fine or something, instead it was just a calendar notification telling me it's time to check on the son.

That's right!

I began running towards the medicure without another moment wasted. The Swedish guards were still in there but they seemed a lot more relaxed then they were yesterday when they first arrived. They definitely won't be turning a gun on me or anyone else at any time soon. One of them only gave me a smile as I walked up to the private room to open the door.

W-w-what or who?!

"Nice day, doctor?" he said, his accent a little better than his leader who did point a gun at me.

I smiled back, "It sure is." Then I stopped, "Have you been standing here all day?"

He looked up once then nodded, "Since last night actually."

"Why don't you go out for a bit and get something to eat?" I murmured.

"I can't leave me post."

"I never saw you leave or come back," I winked.

He got the message, "Thank you."

Now that he's gone time to deal with...

I knocked once then opened the door, "Am I interrupting?"

"Hinata," she was giggling like some teenage girl who just figured out vodka. "Hey."

"Head doctor," he turned around with a smile. "How has your day been?"

What is going on here?

I looked from the doctor to the son then back, "Scary but I see that you two have been having a perfectly fine day. Hanako-senpai, Tyro..."

"Naruto-kun," when that third voice intruded, I froze in spot looking

I looked up at the corner furthest in the room and there sat the captain with crossed arms, one raised eyebrow, and a smile on his face.

"Miss me, Hinata?"

What the hell is going on here?

"Have you been here the entire time, Naruto-kun?"

"Yep," he inclined his head towards Tyro. "I've been bonding with him then Dr. Hanako showed up and all three of us became good friends."

"Wait, I know that it's part of the Japanese culture to not call people by their first names unless they're very close," Tyro looked from me to Naruto. "Are you guys close, Captain?"

The same curiosity painted Hanako-senpai's face.

"No," I shook my head.

"Yes," Naruto nodded his.

What?

"We're very close," Naruto uncrossed his arms before slowly walking over to me.

The door a few feet behind me suddenly disappeared and someone that sounded like Kazuki attempted to yell a greeting but was immediately muffled with a hand.

I was more focused on exactly what Naruto had in mind since his blue eyes aren't telling me anything this time.

"We're so close that," the captain stopped in front of me, his eyes softening completely. "I can do this and she wouldn't mind."

Without warning, Naruto pulled my body against his then gently carcassed my lips with his. On instinct, I closed my eyes and responded; my hands on his chest and grabbing fistfuls of his olive shirt. It might've been a gentle kiss but the urgency and the love that came with it was very intense.

I like it.

And I completely forgot we had an audience until a very Kazuki-like sound echoed through the eerie silent room.

"W-woah..."
