Explanation Of Physical Appearance

Black Opal has peachy skin. Her right cheek is scarred in the shape of an X, likely from a workplace injury. She wears a pair of black goggles with light gray lenses just above her dark blue eyes. There are copper bands clasping multiple strands of her navy blue hair; three in the front on each side of her head and four in the back. She wears a charcoal black shirt with tab sleeves that is cropped to reveal her lower midriff. She also wears some charcoal black shorts with pockets. A blackish-blue anklet is tied around her left ankle. Like Snowflake Obsidian, she typically walks around barefoot.

Explanation Of Personality

Black Opal is aloof and distant from other people. However, she's clever and has a good mindset. She would never judge someone about anything at all. She is not always careful about what she says, though. She has poor emotional intelligence. She and Snowflake Obsidian get bossy with each other and have a little conflict sometimes.

Background

Black Opal's first encounter with Snowflake Obsidian was when they met at a "Take Your Kids To Work" day. Their parents worked at the same company in the same department (a company that makes sanitation products, they worked in statistics), and knew each other prior to Black Opal knowing Snowflake Obsidian.

Black Opal and Snowflake Obsidian really got to know each other in the metal shop class they had together at Kodo Academy. Black Opal was intrigued at how familiar Snowflake Obsidian looked, and she wanted to learn more about her. Over time, they eventually became close friends.

After graduating high school, the pair moved into their own house. After earning their degrees in engineering, they went on to open their own shop, where they sell inventions they create.

Skills

Black Opal is a very good engineer. Her career in such has led her to have lots of years in redstone and stone cutting experience under her belt.

Relationships With Other Characters

Black Opal does not know the admins or any of The Effulgent.

She and Snowflake Obsidian are the best of friends and partners in crime.

Trivia

-Black Opal feels like she constantly wants to invent and build things, which is why in her spare time, she tries to come up with new inventions.

-If all else fails, she decides to go to the gym that is closest to where she lives and lift weights there.

Explanation Of Physical Appearance

Snowflake Obsidian's most recognizable feature is her raggedy black hair marked with many white spots. She has jet black eyes and pale, sandy skin. Her tank top is a dark shade of warm gray, and her pocketed pants are a leather gray color. A spider black band is tied around her left forearm. She wears a pair of cinnamon brown fingerless gloves. Like Black Opal, she often walks around barefoot.

Explanation Of Personality

Snowflake Obsidian is reclusive and aloof, but she is very headstrong. She is quite rough, and she is nearly unable to handle something with care. Because of this, Snowflake is rather clumsy. She's also quite irritable. Her emotional fuse is much shorter than Black Opal's, so the two sometimes have some conflict with one another.
