I got the idea to create a kingdom based on playing cards from watching Alice in Wonderland for my Disney marathon, and I did my best not to make it too similar to that. Otherwise, it would be off with my head. My first idea for who ruled it was a King Card and his son, Prince Ace, but as I was writing the bio for the latter, I thought I could do better than that. I talked with Ra1nb0wPh0en1x about how I could revise them, and now, here's the version of Almaz that I'm happier with.

Prince Almaz is the son of King Sverkat and his missing wife, Queen Almaznaya, whom Almaz is named after. He is around 13 years old. He has light gray skin, a small black diamond-shaped nose and spiky black hair that sometimes sparkles. He wears a red toque with small white diamonds decorating it like the ones on his white sleeveless shirt do. The red collar and the bottom of it have white diamonds. The upper half of his shirt is encrusted with bort. He wears a long-sleeved black shirt underneath his white one, which has little white diamonds at the end of each sleeve. He also wears black pants and light gray shoes with red straps that have white diamonds on them.

Almaz is enthusiastic, energetic and outgoing. He really loves to meet new people and talk to them about all sorts of things. One of his favorite things to talk about is card games. He loves to learn about different card games like Durak, Go Fish, rummy and pinochle. He believes studying the card games and how to play them, as well as getting educated in general, is a necessary thing to do if he's going to be the ruler of the Cards Kingdom one day. He is friendly, opened up and a huge chatterbox, but he is also a bit foolish and impulsive, and he has trouble taking some things seriously. Almaz also likes magic shows, dancing and learning about other places around the world.

Almaz goes to school because he wanted to get out there and make some friends, and he did. He has a couple of pals who he considers his gang. They are all just as talkative as he is. He has been to their houses, but they haven't been to the castle he lives in yet.

Almaz looks up to his father, and he thinks that his love for gems and diamonds is interesting. Sverkat has taught Almaz a lot about card games; he and Almaz have bonded over talking about what interests them. Sverkat is usually the first person that Almaz will talk to whenever he wants something. Almaz reminds Sverkat so much of Almaznaya, and not just because they named him after her. She was also energetic and sociable.

Almaz also likes to talk to princesses Daisy and Peach since they keep in touch with his father; they do this so their kingdoms can be at peace with each other. Sometimes, when his father lets him talk to them, he wouldn't have the line back for at least a few hours.

Almaz has been an outgoing kid ever since he was very young. He'd talk to his mother about his favorite things, which included card games, and she loved listening to him. After she went missing for unknown reasons when Almaz was eight, he quickly became sad, wanting someone else to talk to. He watched other kids playing together in town, and he felt like he wanted to be a part of that. He wanted to talk to other children his age. He asked his father to if he could go to school with them, and while Sverkat was uncertain of how the other children would treat him and how this would affect his life, he didn't want his son to feel alone. Eventually, Sverkat made arrangements for Almaz to start school. Now, Almaz attends the closest secondary school to the castle, and he has made some great new friends that he really enjoys talking to. They never wanted to be friends with him because of his status; they liked Almaz as a person. Almaz does have a lot to study and lots of homework to do each week, but he doesn't mind that; he pulls through and tries to have fun. Recently, Almaz has gotten to know people from other places, as Sverkat lets him talk to Peach and Daisy whenever they contact him.

An extra fact to know about Almaz is that his name is Russian for "diamond," and his father's name is Russian for "sparkle." Sverkat represents the ace of diamonds, and Almaz represents the jack of diamonds since it is below the ace. Their names are Russian because most of the world's diamonds are found in Russia. Almaz is also asexual.
