Chase family reunion part 2

Around  2:00 a.m. Annabeth shot up in bed. She had tears running down her face. She had a nightmare.

 Her nightmare was:

She was back at the reunion, not being able to move as the monster dropped her baby in the fire. Then she watched as the fireball hit Percy. Then the monster disappeared. She was able to move. She ran over to Percy and listened for a heart beat. There was one. She let out a sob as she cried into her husbands chest. She then looked at the fire and saw her son Luke, burning to death. She screamed and cried. Her baby was gone.

Then she woke up.

Annabeth looked to her left to see Percy sleeping on his stomach, hugging his pillow. She let out a sob. She laid down and wrapped one arm around Percy's waist. She closed her eyes. She then remembered her nightmare and jumped up and ran out of the room. Annabeth pushed open Luke's room and walked towards the crib where Luke was sleeping peacefully. Annabeth saw his chest moving up and down slowly and she sighed in relief. She picked him up and walked back to her room. She laid down next to her husband on her back with Luke on her chest. She wrapped her arms around their baby and kissed his head. She then fell asleep.

LINE BREAK----

Percy woke up to his wife laying next to him with Luke on her chest sleeping. Percy kissed Annabeth and Luke's foreheads and got out of bed. He walked down the stairs into the kitchen. Percy sat down at the Island. His mom was making breakfast and it smelled wonderful.

"Hey, mom." Percy said as he yawned. He reached across the table and grabbed an apple out of the fruit bowl and took a bite.

"Hello, honey. Eat up because you guys slept in late. It's already 1:00 and you need to pack and everything. Where's Annabeth and Luke?" His mom asked.

"Still sleeping. Luke was sleeping with us again, Annabeth had a nightmare." Percy said sadly. Sally's shoulders slumped.

"I'm still so sorry about that, Percy. We should've warned you about it." She said. Percy's head snapped up.

"You knew they would act like that?!" He whisper-shouted. Sally leaned against the island and nodded. "Why didn't you tell us? This never would have happened if you would've told us." He said, glaring at the ground.

"Percy, we-" Sally started.

"You what mom?" Percy snapped. "Annabeth's PTSD is worse because of this! She wouldn't have nightmares every single night if we would have stayed home."

"Paul really wanted you guys there and-"

"Mom, you still could've told us. We could have gotten a babysitter." Percy said.

"Annabeth would disagree with that." Percy nodded at that because it was true. "We didn't tell you because we thought that if the more you didn't know the better."

"Oh yeah. My newborn son, at the time, being held above a fire, Someone cutting his shoulder open with  a knife., Luke almost getting taken away from us, and Annabeth's PTSD is way better then knowing." Percy said. Sarcasm dripping off every word.

"Percy, don't take it out on your mom." Annabeth said. Percy's head turned around and saw Annabeth putting Luke in his high chair.

"Okay."

After breakfast they got dressed and packed. Luke was in a grey long sleeve sleeper/onesie that had the words, 'I"m so cute,  I must be GREEK!' Annabeth was wearing a grey NYU sweatshirt with, black leggings, grey high top converse, and her hair was braided. Percy was wearing a Blue NYU sweatshirt and black joggers with tennis shoes. As you could tell, they wanted to be comfy for the flight.

LINE BREAK---

It was 5:00 and it takes about 50 minutes minutes to get to the airport. Annabeth buckled Luke into his car seat and laid his blue blanket over his legs. She looked at Luke and smiled. "Are you ready, Lukey?" Luke smiled. Annabeth smiled at her baby boy and kissed his nose. Luke grabbed his mothers hand and stared at the rings on her wedding finger.

"You like those?" She asked. She chuckled as she watched him stare at the diamond.

He reached out his little fingers and tried to take it off but Annabeth pulled her hand away and shook her head. "No, honey. That stays on Mommy's finger." Annabeth said. Luke pouted and she laughed. She grabbed the handle of the carrier and walked to the door.

"Ready?" Percy asked. Annabeth nodded. He grabbed their suitcases and was about to walk out the door when Sally walked towards them.

"Wait! Bye guys! Fly safe! Love you." She said as she hugged Percy and Annabeth then kissed Luke's forehead. They said their goodbyes then the little family walked out the door. Annabeth put the carrier in the backseat then hoped into the passenger seat. As they drove closer to the airport, she noticed her husbands face got paler. She grabbed his hand as they parked in the parking lot.

"Hey, it's going to be okay. I got Zeus' permission." Annabeth said. Percy nodded. She grabbed his face between her hands and pressed her lips to his. Percy put one of his hands in her hair then the other on top of her mid thigh. They deepened the kiss, lips moving in sync, until they heard a squeal from the back. They pulled away and looked at their baby boy.

"Are you ready, Lukey?" Percy asked. The baby giggled and clapped his hands together. Then he yawned.

"oh..he forgot to nap. Whoops." Annabeth said and Percy shrugged. They got out of the car. Annabeth walked over to the backseat and opened the car door. She grabbed the carrier and diaper bag and walked over to Percy.

They walked into the airport and gave their passports and Luke's birth certificate to the lady at the desk. She scanned them then sent them on their way. Annabeth put their passports and certificate back in the bag. Percy put their luggage on the conveyor belt. Annabeth grabbed Percy's left hand, she twisted his ring around a few times before he laced their fingers together. They turned to walk away when someone tapped Annabeth's shoulder. They turned around to see a security guard looking at them. He had dirty blonde hair and brown eyes. He was tall and well muscled.

"Excuse me, Ms...?" He asked.

"Mrs. Jackson." Annabeth said.

"Mr. and Mrs. Jackson, you have to leave your carrier with your luggage." He aid. Annabeth looked at the sleeping baby and at Percy.

"Uh. Okay." Annabeth set the carrier down and sat on her knees. She removed the blanket and put it on her knees and unbuckled Luke. She carefully lifted her sleeping baby up trying not to wake him. She held him in a way that the side of his head was pressed against the place between her shoulder and chest and his face in the crook of her neck. Her right arm was under his butt, holding him up. Her other arm was wrapped around his shoulder and her hand on the back of his head. She picked up the pacifier and rattle from inside the carrier and handed them to Percy. He bent down and picked up Luke's blanket. The security guard picked up the carrier and set it on the conveyor. He turned back to the couple.

"Now, you'll go to security check. Turn to you left and go straight." He said.

"Will he have to go alone or..?" Percy asked. Annabeth rolled her eyes as she stroked Luke's blonde head soothingly as he slept.

"Seaweed Brain." She muttered. The guard looked at Percy. Annabeth checked her phone, 5:45. They have 15 minutes.

"Uh. No. He'll have to get checked with a parent. Are you his parents?" He asked.

"Yes." Percy and Annabeth said. The guard nodded.

"I was about the same age when I married and had a kid. Her names caitlyn, she's seven now." He said.

"Really?" Percy said.

"Gods that's rare these days. Being married and having a kid but not just having a kids-ugh- you know what I mean." Annabeth said. The man chuckled and nodded.

"Yeah, I do." he said. "Daughter of Athena?" Annabeth's eyes widened and she hugged Luke closer to her, protecting him. She made her way to her bag where her dagger was being kept. Percy reached for riptide. "Son of Poseidon?" Percy took out riptide. Annabeth stepped behind Percy.

"What are you?" Percy asked.

"I'm James, Son of Ares. I'm nicer than all of siblings though." James said. Annabeth sighed in relief and stepped out from behind her husband. Percy put riptide away.

"Yeah. Annabeth Chase Daughter of Athena and my husband Percy Jackson Son of Poseidon." Annabeth said.

"So you're the famous Percabeth? I've heard stories but never see you around camp. No one mentioned you had a baby and were married. They laughed and nodded. Annabeth checked her phone.

"We've got to go. Our plane leaves in 8 minutes. Maybe see you around camp." Annabeth said. Her and Percy waved as they walked away. They walked to the security check and went through it without a problem. They took a seat near their plane number. Like was still sleeping and Percy leaned over and kissed his tiny blonde curls on the top of his head.

"I love you, Lukey." He whispered. Annabeth smiled and kissed her husbands cheek. Their plane number was called and they got in line to board the plane.

"Tickets." The flight attendant said.Percy handed her the tickets and they boarded the plane.
