Mrs. Daloon

This is dedicated to DoomXtreme for giving me the suggestion. And to all my other readers, thanks for taking your time to read this.

Hello. My name is Julie Daloon, and I'm a science teacher at Goode High. One of my students, Percy Jackson has just come back from a year of being gone due to what his mother had described as family issues.

Ever since he's come back, his grades have gone from D's and F's to B's and A's.

He has one of the smartest kids in the class sitting next to him, Avery Gettle, and I fear he has been cheating.

One day, as the class is coming in, Percy walks up to my desk and says, "I'm sorry my homework is a day late. I had trouble on numbers 3 and 10." I skimmed my eyes over the paper before placing it on my desk.

"Thank you Mr.Jackson. And I'm hoping you studied for the test?."

He glanced out the window behind my desk and replied politely, "I tried but I couldn't remember the difference between those two rocks." Surprised by his response, I just nodded.

As the bell rang for class to begin I had the students settle down and take their seats.

"I hope everyone remembered and studied for our test today on some cool school stuff." I heard a few groans telling me that some people forgot.

"This is a timed test. I expect you all to do your best and pass." I handed out the testing packets. "Don't forget to answer in complete sentences and make your handwriting neat and ledgible. I do prefer cursive, but to those of you who can't write in cursive, that's fine. You may begin."

I watched as students started writing quickly and my eyes landed on Percy. He was looking at a wall. He then looked at the students around him, smiled, and began writing. Hmm.

As the students took the test, I began grading Percy's homework. He got 18 out of 20 but -1 for grammar and -1 for it being late, leaving him with a score of 16 out of 20. Suprised at him getting another B, I entered it into the gradebook.

The time passed rather quickly. "I need your tests back now. Whether you're done or not, I'm grading it as it is." People reluctantly got out of their seats, and piled their tests on my desk.

For the rest of the period, I let the students do whatever. I began grading tests and when I got to Jackson's, I was astonished. Not only did he get a B-, but most of the points he had lost was because of grammar.

"Mr.Jackson. See me after class please." He looked up at me, nodded and went back to what I presumed was texting.

As the bell rang, students jumped out of their seats and ran towards the door. "Walk please." After everyone had left, Percy walked up to my desk.

"You wanted to see me Mrs.Daloon?"

I watched as a blonde girl walked into the classroom and walked right up to my desk, next to Percy. "Just a second," I turned to the girl, "Hello, may I help you?" The girl smiled and stuck out her hand, "My name's Annabeth, I'm Percy's girlfriend. I'm just waiting on him."

I was shocked. "Oh. Well I would like to congragulate you on your test Percy. You got a B-, but I'm not sure how you went from getting D's and F's to getting B's and A's."

Percy had a twinkle in his eye as he grabbed a hold of Annabeth's hand and smiled. "Well Mrs.Daloon, Annabeth has been tutoring me for the past few months and forcing me to study." This caused Annabeth to smile too.

I turned back to Annabeth, "Thank you dear. You helping Percy is showing. I hate to admit it, but at first, I thought he was cheating."

Annabeth laughed releasing the tension in me. "No, thank you for teaching Percy." She glanced at a watch on her wrist. "We have to go, but it was nice meeting you Mrs.Daloon. Bye."

I waved as I watched the couple leave the room. And that's how I met Percabeth.

I'M BACK! Sorry I was inactive, I broke my phone and had to wait a while to get a new one. Other than that, I think I've talked enough. Don't forget to leave suggestions!
