Lucy Lee
Dedicated to @DoomXtreme for asking for this update
Hey, I'm Lucy. For as long as I can remember, I've had just a tiny crush on the greatest Olympic swimmer the world has ever seen.
Percy Jackson.
Fine. Maybe it's not so little and I have his posters all over my bedroom, but who wouldn't like him and his handsomely messy raven black hair and his glowing green eyes. He's a dream.
Sorry, let me properly introduce myself. I'm Lucy Latrell Lee, I'm 14 years old, and attend Justin Hart Middle School. I have shoulder length brown hair and plain brown eyes, but that doesn't stop me from being the most popular girl in school. I mean, everyone I know is jealous.
But all of that is besides the point, let me continue. I heard a rumour that the Percy Jackson is coming to visit our school. Apparently he was coming to talk to us about the importance of staying healthy and not doing drugs, or something along those lines. I honestly didn't care, I was just so excited to finally see him in person.
This is my chance. My chance to win my hero's heart. I can do this.
«Oh look it's a ten minute time skip»
We arrived in the auditorium and in the first row of bleachers, I can see a young woman around the age of 30. I thought she was Percy's coach or maybe his PR manager.
She had two children with her. A baby girl, maybe one, was in a stroller, facing a little boy who looked to be around four. The boy was talking to who I assumed to be his sister. He kept going off topic, talking about a camp, cookies, and talking to fish. He held a blue cookie in one of his small hands, which I found strange. In his other hand, he had a stuffed animal, which looked like a shark.
Couldn't that woman get a babysitter? Her kids are probably going to make a lot of noise and interrupt a lot, which I was not looking forward to.
¥Name that Time Skip¥
Percy walked in through one of the side doors, looking as gorgeous as ever. He smiled at everyone and I almost melted in my seat.
I saw the woman whisper to the boy and point to Percy. The boy looked up from where he was still talking to the little girl. He grinned. "DADDY!" He yelled and ran to Percy, hugging his legs. Aww how sweet, the little boy thought Percy was his dad. We all watched in silence.
The woman sighed and checked on the girl, who was fast asleep, then stood up. Percy picked the boy up and walked over to the woman, a smirk on his face. The little boy was saying things about castles and winged horses, just normal nonsense.
"Luke, what did I tell you about interrupting your father?" She scolded the boy quietly but since I sat in the row behind her, I could hear it.
Wait a minute. Wait just one second. Percy had kids? Maybe they were from a previous relationship and the mother didn't want to take care of them. That had to be it. I don't remember seeing anything about Percy being in a relationship or about him having kids. Someone as famous as him had to have at least said something if he was seeing anyone, but I guess I understand him keeping his children a secret.
Percy set the little boy on the ground. Luke hung his head in shame, "Sorry." The woman said something to him in another language and he sat down, pulling a snack of her purse. He acted as if nothing happened while he sat in silence, munching on crackers.
Percy laughed, it was a wonderful sound. "It's fine Annabeth, don't worry." He gave her a reassuring smile which she returned.
They seemed to remember they had an audience. Annabeth sat back down after giving Percy a kiss on the cheek. So they are business associates? Or maybe siblings or cousins.
Percy introduced himself and started talking about how important it is to make good choices. Halfway through, I heard Luke say, "Mommy, why do I have to walk? Why doesn't Zoë?"
I ignored it until I finally registered what he said. Annabeth was his mom? There's no way that's possible. I mean, sure the kids kind of look like her, but then that meant Percy was taken!
That's when I finally noticed the glittering rings on her finger. I realized Percy and Annabeth were married. All my chances were ruined
Stupid life.
The rest of it was a blur seeing as I had stopped paying attention. It's also kind of hard to see when you have tears in your eyes.
Actually, there's a cute guy on the football team. Maybe I could talk to him, seeing as Percy wouldn't notice me, and not because he's over 16 years older than me.
That's how met Percabeth.
Sorry I rushed this. Sorry I haven't updated in forever but I have had a bunch of stuff going on. Sorry for my excuses and rambling.
Adios,
~CatTheWorstExcuseMaker
