People Are Blind

The girl sat in her room, her laptop in front of her. The screen splayed horrible words, confessions of past experiences. She felt horrid inside, knowing she couldn't change the past, knowing that she couldn't say anything of confort, for that was the kind of person she was. She couldn't give out any comfort with words: only with presence.

Her friend had just sent her an email of something she never heard of before: not because of negligance, but because of an age barrier. Because she was younger, she could not witness what was happening inside her friend's classroom.

Her friend had been bullied, and finally the kind, cheerful attitude her friend had always displayed was now just some facade she was keeping up. She had been changed by these heartless worms that were her 'classmates' in a terrible way.

Drifting into memory, the girl thought of the times before, when they were able to have fun in their own world, for they owned their world. Their world that was full of a kingdom of Pokemon and Littlest Pet Shop figures. Their world of King Lugia and Queen Mew, the Princesses Gardevoir, Thithitha and Moomoo, and all the townspeople and servents.

"Did you really defeat all these Pokemon?" The girl said for the King as he talked to two townspeople. "Badge!" The two girls giggled at the line. They had made the king an odd fellow, and, even as young girls, they had made him in all simplicity a drunkard, though in more innocent ways.

"But King," the friend began for a servent at the apparent crime scene. "This is a crime!"

"Still, it must have been hard! You had to be tough! Badge! And you're a good police officer! Badge!"

The memory was old and faded, with much of it missing, but the happiness was still there. Their world of make-beleive was still with them, though they were the characters, not simple figures.

"I know your secret," the girl said, the two circling each other before a mock fight.

"What are you talking about?" The friend responded, holding the ring that they were calling a channeler up in defense.

"You're the Princess!"

"What are you talking about?"

"This. Memory check." A thought bubble of truth that only they could see appeared over the friends head. The rest of the game followed through at in intersting pace, ending with an interesting end, but one thing could be agreed on: it was all fun.

Back to herself in her room, she opened up an internet browser and began typing the words the world needed to know.

People are blind. They can't see how great my best friend is.
