The shadow fairy made her way down the hallway leading to Sky's dorm, grimacing as she noticed Riven approaching from the other end.

"Room is all yours, you can make all the-" 

"Fuck off before I kill you and hide your body," Vienna responded nonchalantly, not even sparing him a second glance as she walked past him. 

"Bit harsh," he muttered as he carried on walking, causing her to simply roll her eyes. 

The girl pushed the door open leading to Sky's room, her eyes falling on the blonde boy who quickly pulled his shirt down from in front of the mirror. 

"Hey, Vie," he greeted with a warm smile, one arm reaching out to beckon her towards him. 

"Hey, pretty boy," she responded sweetly as she shut the door behind her and walked closer to him, her body melting into his embrace as she wrapped her arms around his waist. 

She smiled softly as she felt one arm wrap around her shoulders and one hand rest gently against the side of her face in a comforting manner. 

"How are you feeling?" she questioned as she looked up at the boy, leaning into the warmth of his hand as it moved to cup her cheek. 

"I feel great," he started, causing Vienna's eyebrows to raise. "A little tired but-" 

"Sky." The girl cut off as she gazed up at him, one hand moving to gently press against his torso where his wound was. "I know what Dane did to you. I watched it happen." 

"Ooh," he trailed off awkwardly. "Yeah, that feels great too, it's just a scrat- ow!" he called out as Vie pressed down harder, her eyebrows raising in question. 

"Okay, okay, it hurts," the blonde finally admits, his hand moving from Vienna's face to intertwine with her fingers to move them away from his torso. "I'll beat his ass next time." 

"Don't worry," Vienna assured with a large grin as she stared up at Sky. "I already beat his ass for you." 

Sky's face broke into a grin, his arm moving from her shoulder to around her waist. "That's my girl," he proudly spoke, tugging her towards him until they were pressed up against each other.

He tilted his head slightly as he leant down, and Vienna moved to the tips of her toes in order to meet him halfway, her eyes fluttering to a close. The girl smiled as she felt his warm lips against hers, her hands moving his arms and across his shoulders until they locked around his neck.

She felt her phone vibrate in her back pocket, but she paid no mind to it as she continued to kiss her boyfriend. These were the moments in which she truly seemed to feel at peace. 

She sighed and pulled away as her phone continued to vibrate, her eyes opening to find Sky's curious gaze on her. 

"Is something wrong?" he questioned as she pulled out her phone, her gaze falling on the notifications of the several missed calls on her screen from Terra. 

"I'm not sure," she responded as she dialled the earth fairy, noting the lack of messages to explain what was going on. “Hey-”

“Beatrix just came by with news,” Terra interrupted, causing Vienna’s eyes to widen. “They’re sending Silva to Polaris.”

Vienna gasped as she turned away from Sky, her hand flying to her mouth in shock. “Are you.. are you certain?” she breathed out. She could feel her heart dropping further and further, and the girl had to hold onto the edge of the wooden desk to steady herself. 

“I’m sorry, Vie,” Terra spoke, “Beatrix was sent by Rosalind herself to deliver the news to Bloom.”

The girl nodded gently, even though she knew that the girl on the phone couldn’t see her. She finally registered Sky’s gentle hold against her, his fingers gently curling around her arm as he stood behind her.

“Um, thank you,” she breathed out, “for letting me know.”  She didn’t wait for a response and ended the call, instantly turning around to press her face into Sky’s chest.

“What happened?” the blonde questioned, his arms instantly moving to wrap around her smaller frame. “Was it about Silva?”

Vienna only nodded, her hold around Sky’s waist only getting tighter as if he too would slip away from her. “Polaris. He’s being sentenced to Polaris."

"I'm so sorry," he murmured as she moved away from him. "How do you feel? Is there anything I can do for you?"

"I think I wanna be by myself for a while," she replied, slowly making her way towards the door. "I'll talk to you later, okay?"

"You know I'm here for you, right?"

"I know," she spoke softly, her hand resting on the door handle. "Don't worry, I'll be okay." 

She smiled at him in reassurance, but in reality, she was trying to reassure herself more than anything. 

She opened the door and proceeded to walk out, only sparing him one last glance before shutting the door. 

What she was planning on doing was probably stupid, no, most definitely stupid, but she couldn't bring herself to drag Sky into in. 

Her dad will be coming home to her.

writers block was really writers blocking here lmfao, i just decided to post whatever i had.

thank you for not spamming me about when I'll update, working a full time job has been exhausting 😭. i felt so guilty for not updating that i tried writing on the bus to work and also during my lunch break, but it just wasnt happening. and then i tried to update this morning and then found out my mum has covid which obviously further delayed my writing.

thank you for 400k reads, you guys are awesome. i'll try to be better about updating, but i cant make promises <33
