“That,” Saul Silva began, wincing as Terra applied medicine to the wounds on his back, “has got to be the most reckless thing you have ever done.”
Vienna only pouted, her hands firmly gripping onto her father's hands as if he would disappear if she let go.
“I don’t think that’s very true,” Terra said with a laugh.
“Yeah,” Bloom interjected, “Weren’t you here last year?”
“Yeah. When Bloom went crazy and let loose Evil Headmistress.”
Vienna couldn't help but snort at Musa's statement, noticing the air of awkwardness settling around the flame fairy.
“What do we do now?” Bloom questioned, possibly an attempt to change the subject and make things less awkward.
“Take me to Blackbridge.”
Vienna looked up at her father in question. “What’s in Blackbridge?”
“Right off the town square, my friend Sebastian owns a store. He helped us take down Rosalind. He’ll hide me.”
“Ooh..” Vienna trailed off with a nod. “I think I recognise that name.” She sighed. “As much as I’d love to go with you, Dad, I should probably go back to the school so they don’t suspect me.”
Saul sighed, one hand reaching out and settling on top of her head. “I have plenty to say to you Miss Silva, but I’ll save it for another time. Stay safe, okay? I love you, Sweetheart.”
Vienna only smiled, arms wrapping around his torso. “I love you too, Dad. You stay safe too.
🗡 🗡 🗡
The shadow fairy managed to get back to the school in record time, just in time to sneak into her room and pretend like she was there all along in case anyone asked.
She was now preparing to go on guard duty in the specialist strategy area, her eyes taking in the patrol route for the evening which was neatly labelled on a simple map.
As always, Vienna would much rather be anywhere else right now, unable to feel comfortable in the area with Andreas’ stares constantly burning holes into her back.
At least right now, Sky is by her side, making her afternoon a little bit more bearable.
“I won’t force you to talk to him, but the offer is there,” Vienna spoke gently to the blonde whilst attempting to look busy. “It might be a now or never situation though.”
Sky simply shook his head. “I'm glad he's okay, and I'm happy for you too, but I really don't want anything to do with him right now.”
“That's fair,” the raven-haired girl said with a nod, “I respect your decision.”
The sound of laughter in the distance caught their attention, only for them to find Dane in the middle of rambling to his entourage.
“Arrows right in the back! Fucking savage.” He proceeded to let out a chuckle. “Then he did this sad-ass flop into the river. It was game over!”
Vienna grit her teeth in anger at the remarks, her body turning away to get Dane out of her sight. She should probably lay low, right? She really couldn't afford any attention directed at her right now, especially with her potentially being a number one suspect affiliated with her father's escape.
“You think this was funny?”
Vienna turned back around in surprise, noticing how Sky was no longer by her side but instead striding over to the other boy.
“Sky! No, we were just chatting.”
Sky scoffed. “Just chatting? About a guy getting shot in the back?”
Dane just let out a laugh and shrugged. “Just messing around. Relax mate.”
“I’m not gonna relax.”
Sensing the rise in tension, Vienna slowly made her way over, eyes slightly narrowed.
“Okay then, don’t relax. But I think we both remember what happened last time.”
Vie quickly stepped in with her back facing Dane as Sky raised a fist, her hand settling on his chest to push him back slightly. “It's not worth it,” she spoke gently, “Let's go.”
“What,” Dane cut in, “is princess scared of her boyfriend getting hurt?”
Vienna let out a deep sigh, her fingers pinching the upper bridge of her nose to calm her growing headache. She finally turned around to face the boy, a sarcastic smile on her face.
“Don't test my patience, Dane. I'm not in the mood.”
Dane simply scoffed. “Or what? You think you're so-”
The sound of Vienna's fist colliding with Dane's face filled the air, subsequently followed by more repetitive punches.
Dane only managed to get a couple punches in before Vienna's powers surged, her shadow vines restraining all mobility as she beat the absolute shit out of him.
“Sky, why are you just watching!” Riven yelled as he ran over. “Get her off him!”
The shadow fairy only let up when Riven pulled her away, stumbling at the force at which he shoved her towards Sky, who helped steady her.
She let out a large sigh as she straightened up, her hand running through her hair to make it more presentable again. She certainly looked a lot better than Dane, who had a bust lip and blood running from his nose.
“Talk shit about my father again, and it'll be the day I pull out your tongue and feed it to the crows,” Vienna spat out.
Sky finally spoke as he threw a last look towards Dane. “Let me know when you wanna keep chatting, mate.”
Vienna happily let Sky lead her away from the area, her knuckles stinging from how hard she threw her punches.
“You okay?” he questioned once they were in the building.
“Surprisingly, I feel much better,” she spoke with a shrug, “I think I needed that. I know I shouldn't have but-”
“If you hadn't then I would have,” Sky reassured as he wrapped an arm around her shoulders. “He was gloating about shooting your dad in the back, people would have been more surprised if you didn't do something.”
“Yeahh, I guess you're right,” she shrugged. “I’m too on edge, I need to get drunk immediately.”
Sky chuckled. “Let's get your hand treated first. Wouldn't want any infections after all.”
Vienna simply pouted as she let Sky guide her towards the med room.

TOUGH. just pretend it does haha.
if you're still reading this silly lil fic of mine, thank you so much :)) motivation has been tough with working full time, so i do apologise for constantly abandoning this fic. it was some lovely comments that i saw that motivated me to write and post this chapter, so thank you.
