Chapter 9: Samri Girl and The Egyptian Exhibit

Dude, this year has been very~ weird, long, and stressful. Hopefully, everyone is doing fine, and that u guys will be able to attend classes this year 🤗. Ok, ok, I'll stop- here's the long waiting chapter.

The day that (Y/N) goes back home was ticking very quickly. The tingling sensations intensified each day as they got closer, but they were used to it at this point. It was clear as day that they were flirting with each other. They were oblivious to it, though, since the models were naturally flirtatious. Making many people jealous of their relationship.

Two sets of eyes glared at the two models that were having a deep conversation. Both of them wanted nothing more than to be in (Y/N)'s shoes right now. Having Adrien around them, paying attention to them would mean the world to them.

"Hey, Adri, don't you have fencing stuff to do right about now?" The blonde boy lowers his head and sighs in disappointment. He didn't want to leave (Y/N), but he had no choice in the matter.

"Hey, don't be so down about it" she lifts his chin, looking at his green orbs, "I'll just be in the library" He nods his head and smiles. It was one of those smiles that could warm a frozen heart. (Y/N) leans in closer to Adri and places a kiss on his cheek before leaving.

The two sets of eyes narrowed as they watch the blonde boy blush. He lifts his hand on his cheek, his green eyes following the (h/c) hair girl. A bigger smile creeps up onto his face making the two girls boil with anger. They watched him walk away before finally looking into each other's eyes. Their eyes widen in shock- finally realizing that they were staring at the same person. Without a second thought, they left since they had more important things to do.

(Y/N) sat down at one of the tables before grabbing out her laptop. Since she has talked to her teacher Mrs. Sawyer or any of her friends since she arrived in Paris, France, it has been a while.

"Oh, Miss. Taylor! How nice for you to join us- we were starting on a new chapter." Mrs. Sawyer states, "Hold on, let me put you on one of the other monitors." My screen transitions to the other camera so I can see the rest of my class.

For our classes, there is an option to take courses in the comfort of your own home. Most people would call them online courses in some cases. Anyway, loads of students use this, including myself, since most of them are traveling worldwide.

"How is Paris so far (Y/N)?"

"It's been a wonderful experience here. There are so many things to do around here that I can't do unless I make a couple more trips." I instantly plug in my headset, so I don't irritate anyone else here anymore.

"That's great to hear, Miss. Taylor. How is your Penpal?"

"Adrien is such a sweetheart," a smile forms on my lips as I think of him, "I wouldn't ask for another person to be with here in Paris."

"I'm glad," Mrs. Sawyer smiles before turning to the class, "Alright, let's start our lesson for the day."

My screen then shifts to the board as Mrs. Sawyer started writing.

After 45 minutes of catching up with notes, a faint sound of clashing metal rung through the halls. I muted myself as the noise got louder towards the library. It was getting harder to pay attention to the lecture, so I turned up the volume and proceeded.

It wasn't until I saw a book cart fly past the door that I finally perked up. At first, I was pissed until I comprehended what was happening. My (e/c) eyes widen as I follow their polished movement. Red and white figures were clashing their swords against one another. Somehow they both felt familiar; I couldn't place my finger on it. At one point, both of their sabers touched each other's suits simultaneously.

"Who won, Marinette?" I couldn't hear her response. Everything slowed down as soon as the White fencer lifted off its helmet. His blonde hair was stuck onto his face. His green, determined forest eyes are looking at her. I felt my heart swell, and the tingling sensation goes through me as I glanced at him. There is something about him that I don't know yet. Sooner or later, I'm going to find out, but at the moment, I have something to do.

I urged my gaze off of him to finish up with the notes. I'll speak to him later about it, well hopefully anyway. It didn't take long to finish up with the notes. I quickly said goodbye and packed up

*Ding*

I look down at my phone to see that I got a text message.

"Angel? Where have I heard that name before?" I shook my head before standing up.

"No matter. I'll walk around a bit."

I exit the library and out of the school to see two cars drive past. Whatever it was, it didn't concern me. I threw my hands up over my head to stretch out my muscles. It has been a long day of classes, and finally, being done felt nice.

A rush of air flew past me, blowing my soft (H/C) into my face. I felt my face heat up due to realization. Quickly putting my hands down to my skirt, I mentally cursed myself.

"Stupid wind..." I sighed, releasing my skirt, "no matter, I might as well go for a stroll."

Out of nowhere, I felt this strong pull telling me to go somewhere. Heh, what the heck might as well follow it. My legs pushed forward towards the direction in where I saw those two cars driving by. I quietly hummed a toon as I navigated through the sidewalk. Of course, I didn't miss the frequent stares and whispers around me. Some even took out their phone to take photos of me. Not like I mind the attention in the first place- over the years, I just got used to it.

'Hot and dangerous, if you one of us, then roll with us. Cause-'

"Hello?" I quickly answered my phone since it started ringing.

"Hey, how have you been (Y/N)?"

"Busy, but I'm glad that right now, I'm not. Anyways how have you been, Carter?"

"Eh, not too bad, but I really miss you..." I giggled as I crossed the street.

"Awe, so you do love me."

"Shut up- I do not. I miss having an annoying short girl."

"Hey! You are so mean!" I heard him laugh through the phone. Man, I miss hearing that laugh. Ever since I've met him, he has been more open around me. I smile at the thought of seeing him again.

"Anyways, has Jonas done anything to you?"

"Yeah, a couple of times, but it's no biggie. It's was nothing besides threats."

"I'm going to have to talk to him when I see him next," I sighed.

"Are you sure? Cause the last time you saw him-"

"Wait, did you see?"

"Him pinning you against the locker? Yes. I was going to intervene, but it looked like your parents beat me to it." I shuttered, remembering that moment.

"Hey, it's okay (N/N). I'll make sure to be with you when you confront him."

"(N/N)?" I rose my brow at the little nickname he gave me.

"Yeah, I just thought of it on the spot. Is it alright if I call you that?"

"Yeah, I'm fine with that. I was just surprised that you decided on that name."

Before I knew it, I was in front of the Louvre. Don't ask me how I got here- I don't even know where it's located in this city. We said our goodbyes, and I hung up my phone. I might as well check out the place since I'm here.

(The main language has been switched to French until further notice)

It took me a while to get down to the Egyptian exhibit. The last time I was here, I read something interesting, but now I can closely examine it. The words on the script changed, making me able to read it once again.

"In desperate times, the Guardian's power comes to life. Before our time, The Guardian welded the power to create the thing we now know called the Miraculous. It was said to hold power that would grant them extraordinary power if one would wield it. Our past Queen once said that one day the people might have to fight for the greater good. That the day of choosing the holders of the Miraculous will be soon-"

"(Y/N)!" I turned to see someone that I didn't expect to see.

"Adri?!" I looked down towards his lifted foot, "Are you hurt?" I quickly ran over towards him, examining him.

"I'm fine. Ladybug saved me."

"Well, that's good," My (e/c) eyes shifted towards the bluette and smiled.

"W-Well, I have to go and fight an Akuma. Take care of Adrien, alright?" Ladybug quickly handed me Adrien and left.

"Alright, lemme look at your ankle" Adri sat down on the ground as I looked through my bag.

"(Y/N) I'm fine-" My (e/c) eyes stared at his emerald green eyes, dumbfounded, which cut him off. I picked up the bandages from my pack and began to work on his ankle.

"So, why do you have bandages in your bag?"

"Just in case if anyone needs it," I tugged on the bandage to try to make it tighter, "Like right now, I'm trying to stabilize your ankle as much as I can so it won't hurt as much when you walk on it."

It took a bit to wrap up his ankle, but right now, it's the best I could do. I would do more, but there is an Akuma nearby. Placing the leftover bandages in my pack, I stood up.

"Here, let me help you." I hold both of my hands out for him to grab, which he accepted. Using some of my strength, I lifted him.

"There you are, Agreste!" We both turn our heads towards the voice. A samri girl leaped and was about to slash us. Luckily we both were able to dodge it just in time. Adri and I rolled several feet before we stopped, with me on top of him.

"What's wrong with you? I am just going to ask Adri if we can get some ice cream." I looked down towards Adrien, pouting.

"Well, sorry to crush your dreams, little girl. I have an appointment with him on which he will never be coming back." I felt my blood boil within me as she explained with venom. I hastily got up onto my feet and began walking towards her.

"Just because I am short, it doesn't mean that you can call me little!" It wasn't long until the Akuma attacked again- this time heading for me- at a surprisingly~ slow pace.

My eyes and body followed her blade as she wielded it through the air. Moving my body from left to right, I was able to evade getting stabbed. Since everything was moving slower, it was easy to dodge.

It was until my back was against the wall that I acknowledged that I fucked up.

My cheek stung as the blade went through the wall next to me. I sigh in contentment as I remembered how to breathe again. If I didn't move my head at the last second-, actually, let's not go there.

"You need to brush your teeth. Your breath smells atrocious."

"That's enough, " Using her other hand, the Samri girl wraps her fingers around my throat. "You are nothing but a bothersome fly to me. Maybe I should put you out of your misery."

She forces her sword from the wall, dragging me away along with it elevating me in the air. I choke, feeling my throat gasping for air. My hand finds its way up towards her hand, desperately. My mind goes blank, seeing black dots in my vision.

Someone... Please help me

"You know, beating up a defenseless girl is pretty low for a villain." I felt my body being jerked to the side as I guessed the villain turned towards their voice. With the last of my strength, I lifted one of my legs while the other was placed on the wall. Pushing off the wall with one leg, the other foot placed on the girl, making her lose her grip on me. The Samri girl rolled backward until she hit the other side of the room wall. I coughed, feeling the burning of my lungs as the air was finally let in. After a couple of seconds, I felt my body relax.

"How's that for a defenseless girl?" I joked before getting back up on my feet. I looked over towards the other people in the room, smiling.

"Well, pretty good, Angel!" Chat Noir put his thumb up, snickering.

"Alright, that's enough of you two." Ladybug rolled her eyes, "At least we don't have to do anything else now. Looks like she is knocked out from you (Y/N)." I raised my eyebrow at her before looking over at the villain. Sure enough, she was knocked out.

Well, that was quick.

It didn't take long for everything to go back to normal due to Ladybug. The feeling of little flying ladybugs swarming around me was pretty weird but relieving. After they disappeared, I walked over to the script from earlier.

"Now, where did I leave off..." I mumbled to myself.

"What are you looking at, Angel?" Chat said, wrapping an arm around my shoulders, "Does something pop out to you?" I chucked to myself before looking up at him.

"This states something about the Guardian of the Miraculous and their Queen." Now Ladybug was at the other side of me, looking very closely at the script.

"How do you know that?"

"I can read it," I said, brushing off Chat's arm, "Since the first time I have arrived here, I have had occurrences of being able to decode any language. At least that is what my French teacher said when I told her about it." Both of their faces turn into shock as I walked away to grab my backpack.

"W-Wait- hold up!" Ladybug yelled as I placed my bag on my shoulders, "You're saying that you can read any language?" I nodded before yawning.

"Yep, now if you excuse me, I'm running late for my nap appointment."
