1 Getting A Pen Pal
Haruhi's POV
Today is a rather strange day. It's peaceful. The twin are currently at a Fashion event with their mother in another country so they aren't bothering me and Tamaki is home with a cold after he forgot to dry off before going to bed. So club activities are more or less cancelled for the day. I might actually be able to get my work done in class today with those two not here to distract me.
"Excuse me, Haruhi?" A soft voice says quietly in front of my desk. I look up and see one of my customers from class 2-B.
"Oh, hello Hana-senpia. How are you?"
"Well... Not that great to be honest. I have a favor to ask of you."
"Sure Senpia. What can I do?"
"Well I recently got my new club approved. The Pen Pal club. And no one wants to join. I was thinking that if someone from the Host Club joined then I could get more members. Could you please be the first member?"
"I would love to but I don't think I could come to any of the meetings. And aren't we only allowed to be in one club?"
"Who told you that? We're allowed to be in two separate clubs as long as you are able to make it to at least half if the meetings. You're told this when you join your first club."
"I guess I didn't hear about when I came to the Host Club." I answer as a tick mark becomes visible and I am forced to smile.
'I could have been in other clubs too!!! Damn those rich people!'
"Yeah, not many people pay attention to that part. But I would truly appreciate you joining."
"Well what's the club about?"
"Well in the Pen Pal club you, as is suggested by the name, get a pen pal. You are given the address of you pen pal and you talk to each other through letters. Not emails or phone call but actual letters. And this person will be of any class or county. And they will be able to read the language that the latter is written in. So there is no worries about any language barriers."
"Sure. It's sounds like fun. But what do we do in the meetings?"
"Just discuss what we've learned from our pen pals. I'm open to anything else you have in mind. Here's the form for you to sign. Just give it to your teacher after you do, just like you did with the Host Club. Sorry for bothering you during lunch. But thanks for joining. Bye!" She shouts as she leaves the mostly empty class room.
"I was supposed to sign a form for the Host Club??? Damn Rich People." I mumble to myself and turn to look at the form in my hands. "But getting a pen pal would be kind of fun I guess..."
