so i've been dying to make a one shot with sweetheart, Marcus Moreno. after watching We Can Be Heroes, which was a lot better than I expected. Pedro just made me fall in love with the character; Marcus is such a cool and great dad to Missy, a bad**s leader/superhero, and too criminally attractive!! 🔥🔥

Also, he gave me Antonio Bandaràs vibes
in this movie.

THE RESEMBLANCE IS TOO MUCH.

That he would be the perfect actor to play Zorro if they were to remake the movie. 😍😍
(and for me, he would be an excellent person to fill in for Antonio's character if Spy Kids is getting the reboot/remake treatment as well)

Also, some people have been saying that he looks like Chris Pratt a little bit, and to that
I say that I can see the similarities XD 🤣

"Morning, kiddo. You sleep okay?" Marcus asks while turning to look at his daughter.

Missy wasn't staring at her dad. Eyes glued on the bowl that was supposed to be filled with eggs, but instead with eggs shells that were cracked. She cringed "Did you?"

(can I just mention that when it showed Pedro in the kitchen making breakfast, with glasses on, and me realising he is playing another dad role made me lose it like crazy?? also extremely hilarious when I noticed he was placing the shells and eggs in the wrong places XD 😂😂 and he looked so good as well which had me swooning wOO!! 😭😍)

You walk in, all dressed up for the day, seeing the situation and laugh softly, catching the two Moreno's attention "Good thing I just came in. Go, I'll handle this, you and Missy rest by the table." And to this Marcus gave you a soft smile, placing a quick kiss on your cheek in greeting. While you began to clean up his mess and prepare a good breakfast.

Missy rolled her eyes when you walked in, she still hasn't gotten used to her dad having another woman in his life. Especially after her mom passed away. And you understood the young girl in knowing how tough it was, and didn't take her harsh attitude towards you personally.

"So, I see you're wearing "leave me alone." Again..." He starts sitting beside his daughter and hands her the cereal box. Watching her pour the milk "You know, I want you to at least try and make some friends."

"Yeah, not today..." Missy shakes her head, and mixes the cereal with her milk before eating a spoonful. Then hearing the female news reporter going on about an attack earlier. As the screen shows one of the heroics in a hospital stretcher, beaten and knocked up. Young Moreno's eyes widen in shock "Whoa. Is that Miracle Guy?"

To that her father sighs, grabbing remote and turning the tv off "That is just a training exercise, probably. A... a "what if." situation..." he shakes his head.

Missy shrugs "As long as there's no "what if" that involves you rejoining the team." Her eyebrow raised at her dad.

"Relax. Even though I'm still the leader of the Heroics, I'm doing it from the safety of my own office." Marcus reassured while adjusting his glasses.

"Good. Because a deal is a deal." Missy says making her father chuckle lowly with a grin.

You soon came over with a plate of freshly cooked eggs and bacon, with a nice mug of black coffee for Marcus. "Nice and dark, just the way you like them."

He smiles taking a quick sip and hums in delight, grinning softly "Thank you."

Then you sat down with them to dig into breakfast, "So Missy, how are you feeling about going back to school?" You ask glancing at the young girl across you, who played with her cereal. "Fine I guess..." she shrugs not even looking at you. You nod as an awkward silence came about, you continued eating your breakfast.

"Well, I better go now. Have a meeting with the medical board." You get up and went to grab your bag and I.D from the kitchen, Marcus stares at you in surprise on how quick you were "Oh, then you can join me and Missy once we're done."

You shook your head "No, it's alright. I can get there myself, don't rush yourselves."

He nods "Okay, be safe..." You walk over to Moreno and place a soft kiss on his cheek. Smiling softly "Always." waving gently at young Moreno "Bye, Missy." only to receive silence from the young girl, but you didn't mind. And smile before walking out to the door to grab a taxi to the hospital.

Once you left, Missy was met by her father frowning at her in slight disapproval "What?"

"Don't give me that look, young lady. That wasn't nice of you to treat Y/N like that." Marcus sighed.

The young girl rolled her eyes "I'm sorry, If I can't treat her like she's being a replacement, dad."

"Missy!"

"I don't understand, dad. You promised that you'd wait for mom, I thought she'd be the only one that you would be with..." she stared at her hands, not wanting to look at her dad.

"I know it's not the same without your mother, I miss her as much as you do..." he tried to hold back the tears that were forming in his eyelids, taking a deep breath "...And I know for fact that she wants us to be happy after she passed away, even if it meant eventually that I would meet someone new." Missy groans, her arms crossed and back facing her dad.

"And I wouldn't choose her, without you approving, sweetie." He says now walking in front of and kneeling down to her eye level. "But please, just give Y/N a chance... For me Missy?"

"Okay, dad..."

"Y/N L/N?"

"Yes?" You look up from your clipboard on a patient to see two women in black navy suits and glasses, holding a badge up "You'll need to come with us. It is an order by the Heroes organisation..."

Confusion was all you felt.

After reporting to your boss about the situation. You were brought to a limo car, eyes widening when you find Missy in there as well. As she made eye contact with you, having the same shocked expression and quickly changed to one of annoyance, once you entered the vehicle and sat beside the girl.

"What was described earlier today as merely telescopic observations..." you heard from the news radio.

"So where are we going again? And why?" Missy asks.

"...above the Earth's atmosphere is now confirmed to be something more serious, causing a mass mobilization of superhero personnel..."

"What mobilization?"

"What is believed to be an alien..."

Wait, wait. Did they say, "Aliens"?

The agents glare at the two of you in annoyance, before pressing a button to raise the window between you guys.

Then a beeping sound came from the girl's silver bracelet "Dad? Dad, what's going on?"

"Missy, where are you? Is Y/N with you? "

She sighs "Yes, she's here right beside me." nudging you to say something.

"Hey..." was all you could say at the moment. Hearing a small laugh from him "Hi honey..." This made your heart burst from the nickname he called you, cheeks flushed.

"So, are they moving you both to headquarters?" He asks and his daughter shrugs. "I think so."

"Good..." He says.

"Dad?"

Only to be met with silence.

"Not worried, not worried..." Missy huffed, arms folded, leaning back against the chair, and staring out the window. You doing the same with a sigh anxiously on what was going on.

"So I'm Miss Granada, director of the Heroics program..." her hips went from side to side with the sound of her heels clicking on the floor "Missy. You'll be staying in our underground stronghold where children of superheroes are kept safe while their parents fight enemy forces." Glancing at the young girl, then turns to you.

"While, you miss L/N will be in a hotel style bunker we have close to the kids." You nod slowly, as you and Missy walked with Granada. "We can't afford to have even one of you fall into enemy hands. This way." Only for young Moreno to speak up.

"Do I really have to go in? Because I won't fit in. I just don't belong. I mean, I'm different from all of them." She says glancing at the woman with a frown "Besides, my dad doesn't fight anymore. And after my mom died, he promised that...—"

"Yes, well, you know what they say about promises?" Granada asks facing her.

"You should always keep them or you're a liar who can never be trusted?" She stares blankly.

Granada lowers herself to come into eye contact with the young girl, glaring slightly "Are you going to be a problem, Missy?" almost sounding threatening in a way that made you uneasy.

Missy shakes her head, placing a quick (fake) smile on and says "Shall we?"

You decided to wait outside while Missy meets her new friends.

As soon as Granada came out, she had her attention on you and led you to your room. "Marcus wanted me to give you this, he said it was in case of an emergency..." holding an earpiece device in her hands, you gently take the item and stare at it in curiosity "So you stay here and call if you need anything." She says with a quick smile before closing the metal door, leaving you alone in your room.

After a couple minutes in your bunker room, you were bored, your worry began to grow within a matter of seconds. Gently holding the device Granada gave you from Marcus, still confused as to what it was for. Placing it on and turn it on. Nothing seemed to happen after wearing the piece. Then grab the remote of your television and switch to hear the news.

"Oh, you know this is an epic Heroic smackdown event when they've called in Sharkboy!" The female announcer cheers, footage showing the man leaping out from the ocean in his blue suit. "Earlier today, Sharkboy appeared from the ocean depths, landing on the beach of South Padre Island."

"And moments later, Lavagirl blasted up from inside an active volcano. She's from the Earth's core." Fixing your position on the bed.

"And here's Mayor Doolittle at today's ribbon cutting for his new city hall, rebuilt after the last time the Heroics went into action." Then a blur of yellow is seen and zooms past the crowd.

"Did you see that? Of course you didn't." You rolled your eyes "That means it's none other than Blinding Fast, the fastest Heroic on the planet."

"And here comes Crushing Low!" man lands on the building, causing it to collapse and demolish. This making you cringe "And there goes the mayor's new building in record time."

"All of the Heroics have been called into action against the alien threat. We're getting some live footage now..." the cameras show all of the heroes moving towards the battlefield.

Your eyes widen in seeing Marcus there, amongst the heroes, soaring through the sky in a black suit, a propeller pack holding him up. "What is he doing there?" You muttered.

"Oh no. I'm just getting some terrible news..." The female news reporter gaps "It's almost unimaginable, but two of our heroes have been captured by the intruders."

And one by one, you watched as each of the heroes are defeated and taken in by the aliens. In shock and sympathize for Missy's friends in realizing that they were watching their own parents getting hurt and captured. "What is happening? Our heroes are dropping like flies!"

"Well, It's all up to Marcus Moreno now..."

You anxiously watched the screen as the live footage went to Marcus, who flew passed every robot in his path, dodging their arms and claws. One slashing the propellers of his flight pack, making you gasp in worry when he fell onto the ground roughly.

He slowly gets up onto his feet to see a hoard of robots in front of him, and knew there was no turning back. He presses a button from his belt.

"Dad? Dad, we had a deal!" Missy exclaimed.

"I know. I promised I wouldn't be a hero anymore... But I'm still the leader of the Heroics." His hands pulling out his katanas.

"Dad? Dad, run! Get out of there!"

"N-no Marcus, What are you doing?!"

"And a good leader... leads by example." He gets into a fighting stance, eyeing the army before him.

"Dad!" His daughter cried out.

"I'm sorry, honey."

"N-no, Marcus please—"

"Stay strong. I love you both..." he says, ending his call, eyes closed and took a deep breath before gripping onto his katanas and charging himself towards the armada of robots. Taking them out one by one only within a few seconds, gets knocked out and taken as well.

You sat there as tears filled your eyes, hand covering your mouth in shock and despair. Soft cries leaving you, when he was taken by the robots as the camera signal goes off.

"This is... unbelievable. Unimaginable..."

"Ladies and gentlemen... the Heroics have fallen."
