You're out prospecting with Ezra and you both run into trouble. It's up to you to get you both out of it, before you end up losing the man you're in love with.

You're backed against a wall. And as usual, it's due to Erza. You love him, but damn, he can be a real asshole at times.

And stupid as a rock. You've come across some others, who are also searching out for gems in the green planet.

When you'd spotted them, your first instinct was to turn right around and go in the opposite direction of them.
Erza had another idea:rob them of any gems they'd already found.

"No!" You'd been adamant about just walking away. Erza didn't feel the same. Erza, King of the Idiots.

"Now, birdie," Erza had said, trying to reason with you. "We've been at this all damn day. And I have no intention of hurting anyone. I just want their gems."

"Erza, don't be a fool," you snarled. "Let's just keep searching for our own gems. Please?"

You'd pressed up against him, trying to use your body language to convince Erza that if he did as you asked, he'd get a lovely reward for it.

It didn't work. Damnit. Now, you're neck deep in Ezra's shit. Again. How many times have you had to talk your way out of something just like this, all because Erza was too damn stubborn to just walk away.

"Leave our crap alone, you hear?" The man shouts as Erza rummages through the special container that's used to hold the gems.

"Erza, let's go!" You urge him. He ignores you and you're tempted to shoot him instead of the man you're holding the rifle on.

A shot rings out from somewhere close by and you duck. Erza quickly pivots, grabbing up a handful of gems from the man's container.

You slowly stand back up. There's a girl, standing a few feet away, holding her own rifle and it's aimed at...Erza.

The man scrambles up himself and grabs another gun, and points it at..Erza. Shit, shit and more shit!

"No, please!" You cry out. Erza may be an asshole and he may be stupid and stubborn, but you can't lose him. You just can't.

"Please," you plead. "Just let us go. Please. Well give you your gems back and we'll walk away, never to both you again."

The man seems to be considering your plea. He lowers his gun and motions for the girl to lower hers. She also does.

You rush to Erza and pry open his fist, grabbing out the gems, even though he's protesting the entire time. You hand the gems back to the man, who grabs them away from you.

He sneers at you both and leans over, to begin putting everything back away that Erza took out. You grab Erza's hand a gentle start pulling him along.

He resists you, trying to break free from your iron grip.

"Hold it!" The man's voice rings out. "Where's the ruby?"

You whip around, just in time to see Erza slip something into his space suit pocket. You immediately reach in and yank it out and hurl it in the man's direction before turning back around and hauling Erza off, ignoring his vehement threats.

"If I ever catch you two trying to rob me again," the man shouts at you and Erza as you quickly hurry away.

"I'll kill you!"

"Why'd you have to go and ruin my fun earlier?" Erza is still pouting over the fact that you intervened and gave those stupid gems back to the man and girl that you encountered.

"You're a lost cause, Erza, you know that?"

He tries to cling to your body, but you hip check him, sending him flying a few inches away.

"I was only trying to save us some damn work," Erza snaps, sounding as annoyed as you feel.

"By stealing something that somebody else had worked so hard to get?"

You sigh as Erza starts pacing around the front area of the space ship. You watch him briefly. As you do, you start to feel a a softening towards him.

"Look, I just don't want anything to happen to you, all because you made a poor judgement call." You pause.

"I can't lose my best friend and lover."

Erza stops his pacing and comes to you, pulling you against his body. You snuggle up against him, wrapping your arms around him.

"I know I have a tendency to act rather hastily on more than one occasion, my sweet. But everything I do is with you in mind."

"Oh, really?" You look at him. You seriously doubt that

"Certainly."

"So, you had me in mind when you decided that it was a good idea to try and get yourself killed?"

Erza sighs. He knows that you've got him there. He gently grasps your chin with gentle fingers and tilts your head up to gently kiss you.

Oh, so now he's trying to butter you up by acting all romantic? Asshole. You tear yourself out if Erza's grasp, scowling.

"Y/N," Erza says, ever so gently as he tries to pull you back into his embrace. "Don't be angry with me. Please."

You relent, although you're still somewhat pissed at him.

"Tomorrow will be a better day."
Erza kisses your forehead. Yeah, sure.

The next day, you and Erza head out to look for more gems. You find a few, although you know that Erza isn't pleased with the outcome.

You slowly trudge back to the ship. Erza abruptly stops and you crash into him.

"Birdie?" You glance in the direction he's pointing to. You sigh. There's three people, looking through their containers.

Erza's face breaks into a devious grin as he starts heading in their direction. You reluctantly follow, knowing that you'll have to save Erza's sorry ass once again.

Honestly, this shit is going to be the end of him. And you, too.
