•Ch.1•

~Eleven years passing~

ELEVEN YEARS HAD PASSED IN THE LOOP and Lillian had grown into the young girl Miss Peregrine knew she would be.

Lillian had learned to be as witty and clever as Miss Peregrine and kind and gentle as Olive combined. In the peculiar household she was the girl who could brighten up any room, she could always make anyone happy and it was a gift of hers. Of course she learned a few things from all the children as they were all technically her older siblings and had taught everything they knew to the little child as she grew. They were all protective of her and knew she was the baby of them all.

She as well had a gift for taming animals and becoming friends with any living creature, Olive even called her Snow White for her way with animals.

As for being an Ymbryne she was able to turn into a barn owl at the age of seven. When she began to show her peculiarity, her training for being an Ymbryne had begun. Not only did she show signs of peculiarity but of her witch side as well, she was once upset that Miss Peregrine wouldn't let her have a cookie and when she turned around the cookie was floating in front of her.

When the children saw the signs of her witch side they knew that one day she would have to start leaving the loop to go to school and that's what saddened them. They knew that one day she would have to leave them and knew the pain of one of their member leaving and didn't want to think of their Lillian leaving them.

•••••••••

It was a cool crisp morning in the loop and Lillian was outside under the huge oak tree reading a book as she did everyday for the past seven years. She loved reading and to pass the time, she would read countless books no matter how many times she read them. She already read Miss Peregrine's entire library and was already rereading favorite books of her and being able to quote them time and time again.

"Lillian come here please." Miss Peregrine shouted from the back and making Lillian look up from her book and near the back of the house.

Lillian closed her book marking her page and began to run across the yard into the house, she waved to the other children as they played outside and came up to Miss Peregrine and followed her into the parlor.

"What did you call me in here for Miss Peregrine?" She asked and Miss Peregrine held a letter in her hand and showed her.

"It arrived." She responded smiling, Miss Peregrine gave it to her, she looked at the letter excitedly and squealed, knowing what this meant.

HOGWARTS SCHOOL OF WITCHCRAFT AND WIZARDRY

Term begins on 1 September. We await your owl by no later than 31 July.

Yours sincerely,
Minerva McGonagall
Deputy Headmistress

"So I'll be going to school?"' She asked excitedly.

"Yes you will, I've already informed Miss McGonagall that you'll be going with her to retrieved your items for school since I'm not able to go with you." She said taking her pipe and smoking from it.

"When will I be seeing her?" She asked her.

"Tomorrow. So you'll need to be ready." Miss Peregrine said and grabbed her pocket watch and looked at the time. "She'll be here around ten o'clock."

Lillian nodded but looked down at the letter again and smiled, she went over and hugged Miss Peregrine as Miss Peregrine laughed and kissed the top of her head and let Lillian go so she could go talk to Emma.

Through the years of staying at the peculiar home Lillian was closest to Emma, both were close and everyone knew that in the home. Even though most of Lillian's behavior is from Olive, Lillian was able to turn to Emma more as she was always there when she needed her. Olive was there for her but she did spend most of her time with Enoch and Lillian didn't want to disturb the two. But Lillian and Emma were close sisters and knew to tell each other everything, they never kept a secret for one another.

She made her way up to the backyard and found Emma doing her daily chore with Enoch. Emma was floating in the air tied by a rope tightly as she put back a baby squirrel back into the tree. As they were both finishing up Emma looked down saw Lillian and smiled.

"Hello Lily." She said as Enoch turned to see Lillian and gave her a small smile as he began to pull Emma down.

"Hi Emma, hi Enoch, you put baby Theo back already." She said looking up and seeing the baby squirrel happy to be back up in the tree.

"Yes I did but what are you doing over here right now? You usually are reading." Emma said placing her feet in her iron shoes and locking them tightly.

"I know I should be but Miss Peregrine gave me my letter! I'm going to Hogwarts!" Lillian said showing the letter, Emma took the letter from her hands and both Emma and Enoch began to read it. After reading the letter the two of them hugged Lillian tightly and knew how much it meant to her.

"Congrats Lillian." Enoch said ruffling her hair.

"Are you excited?" Emma asked as the three of them began to walk toward the house.

"I'm scared but an excited scared, I really hope when I get my supplies I can get some reading material there. I've already read everything." Lillian said.

"Well I'm gonna get ready for supper and get dressed. Are you going to help Fiona with cooking tonight?" Emma said and the three of them began to walk inside.

"No I asked her earlier today and she said Bronwyn is going to help her." Lillian said, and as they walked Lillian thought for a moment and asked out loud. "You think I can deliver my own mail?"

"I don't think so Lily." Enoch responds, chuckling.

••••••••••

After dinner every night the loop had movie night as Horace would project his dreams and all of them would join the parlor and enjoy the movie. movie time was about to begin and Lillian sat beside Emma on the couch as always and the projector screen came down from the ceiling and Miss Peregrine signaled Horace to project his dreams.

Horace grabbed his lens from his pocket and placed the lens in his eye and his ejected a bright light and making his dream go to the screen.

His dreams looked hazed almost foggy, as always it showed him getting a new suit from a store. It was usually like this, Horace buying clothes and just clothes in general it was very boring to children after the first time watching it. They use to listen to the radio but it soon began to become tedious knowing all the words to the radio. As Horace began to talk to one of the men in his dream, it changed all of a sudden and all of the children were confused as the scene changed.

It changed to a scene where it was a older red head looking out into the distance and could in the distance could see the red head looking out to a lake and the stars shining bright. The red head revealed her face and it looked like an older and more mature looking Lillian.

When Lillian saw that it was herself, her face turned red as everyone was watching her in Horace's dream intently.

"Is that Lillian?" Fiona questioned and looked over to Lillian and could see the resemblance.

"It looks like her but older." Hugh added.

She was standing next to the window and you could see a hand touch her shoulder and the older Lillian smiled up at the figure. The face was blurred but it seemed as if she was going to kiss him. Everyone looked in interest while Lillian sat there blushing as everyone was watching her future.

"I love you Lillian Potter." The boy said, making Lillian's face turn bright red.

Everyone was shocked as they were witnessing this important moment in Lillian's life and Lillian wanted nothing more for this to end. Miss Peregrine could see Lillian's discomfort and she decided to end the movie night early. She turned the light switch on and smiled at Lillian, and everyone groaned as the projector was moved up and looked at Miss Peregrine begging her to watch more. Olive looked over to Lillian and winked at her as Lillian was trying to hide away from everyone after watching her love life on screen.

"It seems Lily will have some romance won't she?" Millard said, teasing Lillian as he made fake kissing noises.

"Oh Millard, don't be mean." Olive said and went over and flicked his head. "I think it's very romantic."

"Yeah, Lillian has a better love life than you." Hugh said laughing.

"I think you all should go get ready for bed and then come down to reset the loop." Miss Peregrine said as she looked at her pocket watch and saw the time.

Everyone got up from the seats and made their way to their rooms. Lillian was walking slowly as she still wondering who was the boy that said that to her. She looked over to Miss Peregrine as she smiled at Lillian and knowing that she had an interesting future ahead of her.

•••••••••

Everyone was outside in their pajamas, holding their umbrellas as Miss Peregrine handed out their gas masks for the reset of the loop. Lillian stood beside Miss Peregrine as they all were outside and ready for the plane to drop the bombs on the house. Lillian started the music as all of them put their mask on.

It was a normal night as they could hear the loud sirens of Wales, signaling the bombs that were about to be dropped by the Nazis.

It was a rushed job when Miss Peregrine first reset the loop as when they first did it, all the children were frightened of the alarming state of the reset.

Miss Peregrine gave Lillian her watch and was letting her learn how to reset a loop, Lillian grabbed the watch and as the planes came closer Miss Peregrine usually gave Lillian the command on when to press the reset on the pocket watch. But this time Lillian did it on her own and pressed the button and watched as everything stopped in an instant.

Lillian was proud as she was doing this all by herself for the first time, and began to rewind time and everything around them was going in reverse.

The rain began to go back up into the sky and the once cloudy sky was replaced with the clear sky. Lillian jumped happily as her first time of resetting the loop by herself was a success. Everyone clapped for her and cheered as they watched their little sister accomplish her goal.

"Way to go Lillian!" Millard shouted.

Emma and Olive came over and engulfed her into a hug and Enoch came up behind them and ruffled her hair.

"You did so well." Emma said and all of them began to head inside happy and proud of her.

Miss Peregrine had never felt such pride for her young daughter, to be happy that her daughter grew up to be such a powerful and kind Ymbryne.
