Reader's P.O.V

How long has it been since I left Beach City? It was so long ago I could hardly remember. When I moved there, my parents were constantly worried sick. They never wanted me to move so far away from them in the first place. Over time, I was getting pretty tiresome of their worries and decided to move back to Lakeside City with them. Lakeside was a city in the country. It was quite and everyone had this little community built around a large lake that was in the center of it all. I has content with that life for a while but I couldn't help but look back on Beach City. The place that I had first felt my independence and the people I met there. I wanted to see it all again. The rolling waves, the beautiful beach side....and that awesome kid Steven. I often wonder how he was doing after all this time. Everyone seemed upset that I left but I still remembered his face. He was the most disappointed of all.

But now he won't have to be. I finally decided to heed my own calling and convinced my parents that I was ready to get back out there and do my own thing. I was proud of myself as I looked into the night sky. The car window was rolled down as I drove into the night. The  crisp, cold, night air blew through my ( hair color) hair. In the distance, I could see those words that I had been looking forward to reading the entire drive. WELCOME TO BEACH CITY.

Time skip.....

It was about 8:00 A.M when I finally reached my destination, I was tired from the long drive but the excitement made me ignore it. As I stepped out of my car, I took a sharp breath to take in that oh-so-good- beach air. Yup, this place is just like I remember. Still the same old place if not slightly different. I hadn't even been in Beach city for less than a minute before I already caught someone's attention.

Ronaldo: ( Ronaldo gasp) Oh my gosh, Oh my gosh! I can't believe it. It's really you (Y/N). Your finally back.

Ronaldo came running up to me and I was thinking he was going to give me a handshake but before I knew it, he picked me up and had me in a tight hug.

Ronaldo: I missed you dude.

(Y/N): I missed you too Ronaldo. Are you still doing that "keep beach city weird" thing.

I say as he put me down.

Ronaldo: Of course. You have no idea what you've missed since you were gone.

(Y/N): And I would love to catch up while I'm here.

Ronaldo: So are you just vising?

Ronaldo said in a slightly sad voice.

(Y/N): Why would I do that? Starting now I'm a permanent residence.

Ronaldo: Aw yes! Welcome back bro. I know everyone is going to be happy to see you. Come on, you have to meet everyone.

Ronaldo had led me away to go and greet all those lovely faces that I had left over the years and little did I know, they where more happy to see me than I ever expected.

Time skip......

Steven's P.O.V.

I was actually on my way to The Big Donut when I noticed that everyone in town had formed a huge crowd. I was instantly on the alert, thinking their could be some Gem related problem as I rushed over to see what had everyone on the buzz. My eyes lit up into stars when I found out who everyone was crowded around.

Steven: (Y/N)!!! Your back!!

I say as the crowd stepped aside to make room for me to pass

(Y/N): Oh hey Steven.

I instantly gave him the best hug that I could and touched his face to be sure I wasn't imagining him being here.

Steven: This is so unexpected. I thought you were gone for good.

(Y/N): How could anyone stay away from this place? It's magical. But I don't want anyone to get upset about me leaving anymore because I know for a fact that I'm here to stay.

Everyone in town began cheering. (Y/N) really was an awesome guy and all this time I missed him like an older brother. He was my idol and everyone liked him. He was so cool and now that he's back, we can hang out again and make up for lost time.

Reader's P.O.V.

The entire day was like a party. Everyone was in the best of moods and I couldn't help but feel welcome. Beach City was truly my home after all and I never intend to leave it behind again. This place was still a wonder but fun none the less. Especially with Steven hanging around me all the time. He was like a little brother that I never had as an only child and he was always so happy and considerate of others. I never got tired of being around him and by nightfall again, we had walked all around Beach City just talking about everything that's happened. Steven was younger all those years ago but I couldn't help but feel proud at how big he had grown. Even after all this time, he had never forgot me and I had never forgotten him but with a kid like Steven, why would you want to forget him. You literally can't and why would you want to?

He had told me about being a gem and a few things about his history like his mom. He was still living in that super large temple with his Crystal Gem moms that I had never met to this day. It was hard to believe I missed so much.....

Steven: The Crystal Gems are all special in there own way. There's 6 of them now though. Garnet, Amethyst, Pearl, Lapis Lazuli, Peridot and the newest member Bismuth, you can meet them tomorrow if you want.

(Y/N): Sounds awesome. Anyway, you should probably go home to them now. It's late and I know they'd worry for you.

Steven: Yeah, that's a good idea.

I ruffled Stevens hair as he got up to leave. I stood up too and turned to part my own way before I felt him hug me once more from behind.

Steven: I really am glad your back (Y/N).

I gave Steven a sincere smile.

(Y/N): So am I.
