The Professor - Part 4 - Tommy x Alfie x Reader

"Now, I believe that I should let you know whom some of your fellow guests are, before I actually introduce you." (Y/n) said, as she grabbed a couple of glasses of champagne from a platter, that was being walked around by a waiter and handed them to the new arrivals; before leading them to one side, away from the others that milled around the large room. Neither Tommy nor Alfie knowing what the Professor was up to; but knowing better than to question her in her own home. Especially when they had seen all the armed men that were wandering the grounds; not to mention the ones that had looked at them, as the butler let them into the house.

"Where to start, where to start.............." She mused for a moment cheerily; before nodding her head at a short and quite rotund man, with unruly hair that was brushed over the bald part on top of his head.

"That, is Roland Pollard; more affectionately known by girls in certain areas of town as, Dirty Roly Poly. Despite his appearance, he is only in his early thirties, and is the son of General George Pollard. Friend of Lord Kitchener, hero of the Boar War as well as the Great War. Unfortunately for dear old Georgie, Roland would never follow in his footsteps; having been deemed not suitable in more ways than one, to serve our country. That, and his father paid handsomely to make sure that he didn't have to go anywhere near the trenches." (Y/n) began to explain. Neither Alfie nor Tommy liking the sound of that. Not sure why the Professor would allow, in their opinion, a coward, into her home.

"Next, we have Reginald Forbes. The police commissioner. A man so corrupt, so bent, that most of the time he is doubled over and should be locked up in one of his own cells. He has taken more backhanders than you and I have had hot meals; and he is not averse to fitting people up, if it so suits him........or his friends. Which leads us nicely to Colonel Henry Fitzgerald. Local magistrate and all-around bad egg. Two years ago, a man by the man of Daniel Watts was arrested for poaching, which is normally classed as a kind of badge of honour around here. The only problem for Watts, was that he was a rather tall, rather dashing poacher that had caught the eye of that pretty thing on the Colonel's arm. His much, much younger wife. A rumour that Watts and Misses Fitzgerald had been caught in, flagrante delicto, in a nearby haybarn reaching the Colonel's ears. By the time that Watts stood before him in the dock, it wasn't just poaching he was charged with.........it was murder, murder of his partner to be precise. It was all rubbish of course, Forbes had some of his lackies knock the man over the head and plant evidence for the judge. Fitzgerald quite happy to send the man to hang, as a message to anyone that might think of sniffing around his wife in the future." The Professor continued. Alfie and Tommy beginning to believe that despite what they did, and whom they associated with; they had never been in a bigger den of iniquity than the one they were in now.

"We move on to William Montague, son of the fifteenth Earl, and the rather unhappy woman that is by his side, Lady Elizabeth Wilberforce. It was never going to be a happy marriage, the whole thing arranged between the families; for you see, even if she was the most beautiful woman in the world, William would always be more interested in the footmen and stable hands. Though they do put on a decent enough show of loving one another, when they really have to." (Y/n) added with a chuckle, before finishing the sparking liquid in her glass.

"Finally, and by no means least, we have the right honourable Richard Howard. A man that has just taken his place in the House of Lords, after his father's death. A man that has already gambled away the family fortune and is currently in debt to the tune of five hundred pounds, to some very dubious men that will happily break every bone in his body, if he doesn't pay up. The rest are a bunch of low life's that wrap themselves under the cover of money, morals and landed gentry. We have MPs that keep little love nests not to far from their offices at Westminster, while their wives and children wait for them at home. One that not only enjoys cocaine, but also opium. And can often be found in the worse dens near the London docks, when he should be looking after the affairs of his constituents. You might be wondering why I would bring all these creatures together in one place. Why I would allow these people into my home. I do it, to remind each and every one of them, that I own them. That I know all their deepest, darkest secrets, and with just one word, I could bring their worlds to an end. I could destroy everything that they have known or held dear, if they don't give me or do as I want. Just a little more proof, that neither of you two gentlemen have anything I need. But please feel free to try and convince me otherwise; oh, and do enjoy your evening. Please mingle to your hearts content." Their beautiful host explained, nodding to Tommy and Alfie, before making her way to join her rather dubious guests. The two gangsters unable to do anything but look at one another again. Still shocked by her reach, and how much she controlled. By whom she controlled. Realising that this little get together was a show of the Professors power, rather than a friendly little soiree. Tommy and Alfie deciding that perhaps that should do as they were told and mingle. That if they did, they might be able to find out something about the Professor in return.
