A/N: 5K everyone 🔥 Anyway updating this was hard. What's wrong with wattpad? Ugh.

Mira POV

I was hanging upside down on a tree branch with my eyes closed.

I was so close. So very close.

I was working on controlling my magical energy, my weakest skill, and I was so close to seeing how well I had improved since the first one hundred days.

I had a lot of energy, I just needed to learn how to control the speed, the motions, and most importantly the accuracy. I was already at a point where I was farther than every other fairy. I saw no harm in widening the gap.

...

I smirked.

I was doing an exercise in which I would try to catch a creature with my eye closed. I would sense it, spot it and then catch it.

I had to be precise or I would miss it. I finally sensed a creature as it landed on a tree a bit far away from me. I smiled. I was surprised I could sense it from this far away. I was about to put my plan in to action when a sweet smell reached me. It was strong.

Ginger.

I smelled ginger. My eyes immediately snapped opened as I clenched my spear and pointed it at the fairy who had been lurking behind me.

*Clash*

My spear was met with a small knife held by a familiar fairy. I immediately sent the knife flying and smiled.

"Gloxinia, what are you doing here?"

He smiled at me before taking my hand, "Let's do something fun."

I frowned at him as I disconnected my hand from his, "I thought I told you, there's only 100 more days. I have to be serious."

He narrowed his eyes at me before thinking, "Come on, Mira," he said, "why don't you spend more time with the fairy you like?"

I rolled my eyes at him, "Wait 100 days."

He gave me a look. No words, just a look. Suddenly, I felt as if I was being scolded.

He then slowly turned around and began walking away.

I stood there stunned before going back to training. I put myself in the same position. I hung myself upside down, closed my eyes and I took a deep breath trying to focus but I couldn't, I felt bad.

I cursed under my breath before opening my eyes. How was it that he was able to do that to me? He didn't even have to make a big deal. He didn't even have to say anything. He just had to give me a look, and it made me feel like I was the worst fairy ever.

I slowly released my magical energy. I had to find him. I began to fly up in the air trying to spot him.

Where was he?

He couldn't have gotten that far. Then off in the distance I saw something. A cliff, and also him.

I flew slowly as I looked at him for a while. He was sitting on the edge of a cliff with his eyes closed.

Was he ok?

His legs were crossed, his hands were folded and he was extremely quiet. I mean I knew he could fly but still, doing something like that was kinda weird.

Suddenly his eyes snapped open and he glared at me.

I stiffened.

He could sense me from all the way out here?

"What are you doing here, Mira?!"

I was shocked. I was almost a mile away.

I immediately flew towards him, cutting through the air and I landed in a matter of seconds. I sat beside him on the edge of the cliff.

"Um...I felt bad."

He simply continued staring at me.

His eyes were emotionless as he spoke, "You know, if you'd rather train than spend time with me it's okay. I don't need your pity."

I looked at him surprised and sighed.

Was he mad at me?

I had never dealt with an upset Gloxinia. He was really good at hiding negative emotions.

I immediately hugged him, "I'm sorry."

He looked at me for a second but then continued looking forward at the forest below the cliff.

"Gloxinia!"

He ignored me.

"Gloxinia?"

He ignored me.

I took a deep breath in, "Gloxinia? Gloxinia?! Gloxinia. Gloxinia. Gloxinia. Gloxinia? Gloxinia. Gloxinia! Gloxinia. Gloxinia. Gloxinia-,"

He cut me off, "What? What? What?! What! What? What-"

...

"I'm sorry for not spending time with you."

...

I watched as his emotionless face began to show hint of sympathy.

"What did you want to do with me?" I asked.

It took a while but he responded, "I don't wanna do it anymore. You can watch the forest with me, though."

I smiled, "Can I lie on your lap?"

He blinked a few times, "Go ahead."

I immediately lied on him as I looked up at him intensely.

"You're supposed to watch the forest," he said looking forward.

"Right now, I'm watching something even more beautiful."

*Crack*

The emotionless aura he had been putting up fell apart as he began to laugh.

"I'm more beautiful than the forest?" he asked with a smile.

I nodded and smiled upon seeing his smile, "Ten times more beautiful."

He was so precious.

...

There was a silence between us before I spoke.

...

"Gloxinia, can I ask you some questions?"

He slowly nodded and I looked at him.

"If you've lived in the forest this whole time how come I never knew you existed?"

"It's because you isolated yourself."

I thought for a moment before nodding he was absolutely right.

"How do I know when your angry?"

"Angry or really angry?" he asked.

"Both," I said clasping my hands.

He thought for a second, "When I'm angry I tend to ignore. When I'm really angry I tend to treat a fairy like they don't exist. I could be speaking to you and I'd still make you know your irrelevant to me."

"Show me?"

He shook his head, "I'm not angry."

"But you were angry at me a second ago."

He didn't respond as he looked at me.

"Don't go ignoring me again!"

He ran his fingers through his hair, "That really angry side of me rarely comes out. So you'll probably never see it. I like you, why would you have to see that side of me?"

After saying that a smile made its way on his face but just as quick as it came it faded away. It looked like he was deep in thought and whatever he was thinking about was bothering him.

"I'm scared," he said.

"Of what?"

"100 days from now."

"Why?"

"What if our relationship changes?"

"Aww, pumpkin. Once I become the ruler of fairies I'll be with you all the time."

His eyes looked turbulent, "What if you don't become the ruler of fairies?"

"That's not going to happen."

He gave a small smile, "I like your confidence."

I watched as he went back to looking at the forest and I went back to looking at him.

Gloxinia POV

Time passed and the sun was setting but I couldn't move.

Mira was sleeping on my lap. She was curled up in a ball and her hair was all over her face. She was perfectly quiet and I couldn't deny she was cute like this. It was quite the scene.

I wanted to go home but there was no way I would move. I didn't want to wake her up so instead I would just stay here.

I would hope that she became the ruler of fairies.

I would hope the sacred tree would pick her and that she wouldn't lose to anyone else,

especially not me.
