hey! I haven't updated in 3 weeks. the thing is, I haven't been feeling every well. I have been crying almost every day since school started, mostly due to school related anxiety. I haven't been feeling like posting a lot in here and writing the past weeks. (and I'm sorry to people that have tagged me in tags I didn't do, I just didn't have time. or the energy. that's mostly about DominoDancer sorry pal ily).

But I wanted to talk about something that most of you don't know about. about something very dear to me (no not Ryan)

Trans rights.

So, most of you don't know this, but in greece it's now legal to choose the gender you identify as and have it on your ID as young as 15.

our government has tried speaking out about lgbtqa+ and trans people for quite a long time. they wanted to be able to teach children in junior high (I think) about sexuality. I'm pretty sure that didn't end up happening. it got a lot of backlash too. people said that kids are too young or it's too inappropriate.

So I haven't talked about this, but I'm questioning my sexuality. I don't feel entirely confident about it now, but I will some day. I thought that that idea was great. maybe not effective, because I think every greek person reading this can agree, greek teens (and grown ups too) are not as mature and accepting of that as they should be, but great.

in my school there's a gay couple. people usually don't have much good things to say about them. racist, sexist, transphobic and homophobic statements are heard everyday at my school. yes i don't think it would work. but hey, think about that kid that may be questioning their sexuality. think that maybe it could make a small change. maybe in a few years such rude statements won't be the norm.

what I wanted to emphasise more is people's reaction, just to show you how people shut down ideas that promote equal rights. There was a show in which they were talking about it and discussing it with people in the crowd. people dared to compare trans people with paedophiles. FUCKING PAEDOPHILES. FOR FUCK'S SAKE. they said if choosing gender is now legal, paedophiles are the next step. IN WHAT WAY IS IDENTIFYING AS A DIFFERENT GENDER THEN THE ONE YOU'VE BEEN BORN WITH IS A CRIME? PAEDOPHILIA IS LITERAL SEXUAL ASSAULT AGAINS MINORS. TRANS PEOPLE ARE NOT SEXUAL HARASSERS. THERE'S A BIG ASS DIFFERENCE BETWEEN IDENTIFYING  AS A DIFFERENT GENDER AND BEING A LITERAL ACTUAL FUCKING CRIMINAL ΜΑΡΙΑ. LET'S ALSO NOT LET PEOPLE CHANGE THEIR NATIONALITY.  YOU KNOW WHAT? IF YOU CHANGE YOUR EYE COLOUR BY WEARING COLOURED CONTACTS, YOU CHANGE SOMETHING YOU'VE BEEN BORN WITH. LET'S MAKE THAT ILLEGAL TOO.

people said that there's only two genders and it's the one we're stuck in since birth and shit like that. I don't know what else they said. I was having lunch with my parents and I finished the meal as fast as I could. the whole thing made me so mad. my mom and I got extremely pissed. my dad didn't react

Trans rights are people's rights. being a cishet shouldn't be a law. it should be an option. not being cis isn't a crime. carry on my trans pals. I love you all.
