three ☮ robin, find your nest
Juniper sighed as she was barely able to catch up with Archer who was pulling her with the rope that bound her hands. Juniper and Clarke escaped Mount Weather just to be The Grounder's prisoners.
Juniper just wanted to find her people so she could warn them about the goingons in Mount Weather and save her Mom and her friends. Maybe, get some closure with Bellamy as well. Once, she was ready to let him go.
"Anya, we've been walking for hours. Where are we going?" Clarke asked as she followed after Anya who was holding her rope. Juniper looked over at Clarke as Anya snapped back at her,
"Quiet."
"Why not just kill us and get it over with?" Clarke asked tauntingly and that idea had not escaped Anya's mind.
"You can tell the commander what the mountain men are doing to us in there." Archer explained and Juniper tried to get closer to Archer, so she could speak to him properly.
"So let's work together. We don't have to be enemies." Juniper whispered and Anya stood still, glaring right at Anya.
"And unite with someone as weak as you?" Anya scoffed before she continued to walk. Juniper rolled her eyes before looking to Clarke for support.
"Hey. We both want the same thing." Clarke explained as they all stopped still. Luckily they did because a tranquilizer dart just missed Clarke's head. Juniper looked behind her and gasped, the Mountain Men had found them.
"They found us. Run." Juniper hissed as the four began running, luckily, Clarke was able to grab a tranquilizer dart. Juniper grinned at her and Clarke nodded her head. They keep on walking through the woods. Juniper was trying to figure out how the Mountain Men had found them, the woods was so much ground. They couldn't possible get their exact location.
"Quiet. You can't even walk in the woods." Archer scolded as Clarke broke a branch as she walked.
"If I'm such a burden, then cut me loose." Clarke taunted as she held out her hands. Anya just dragged her some more.
"Heavy footfalls, broken branches. You even smell like them." Anya moaned just as they climbed a hill and reached a puddle.
"Down." Archer ordered and they all knelt down. Juniper went to drink the water. "No. Not to drink." Archer added and Juniper threw the water down with rage.
"Then why stop?" Juniper asked angrily as she glared at Archer. She was fed up of this.
"We should be running." Clarke said as she looked at Archer and Anya.
"You both reek. Cover yourselves in it." Anya instructed as she grabbed some mud and placed it on Clarke's face. Clarke looked at her as she glared before she threw some on her body, like Anya was doing. Archer grabbed some mud and slid it down Juniper's face smirking.
"Cute." Archer commented, it reminded her of something that Bellamy would do. Even the way Archer said 'cute' reminded her of Bellamy. Juniper just nodded her head before she stood up. She was just ready to get this over with.
The four continued to trek through the forest land, still being pursued by the Mountain Men. No matter where they went, it was like the Mountain Men just knew where they were.
"How are they still following us?" Archer moaned as they looked down to see the Mountain Men a few kilometres behind them on lower ground.
"It's because of you two. Time to end this." Anya stated as she grabbed a rock. Juniper jumped a little whilst Clarke stood up tall as she held her arms out.
"Anya, I am stepping where you step. I'm covered in mud. We're not leaving a trail." Clarke reassured and Archer took the rock from Anya. He was not wanting them to die.
"They're following something." Archer stated as he looked at the three girls for help. Then it all clicked in Juniper's brain. How else where they doing it?
"They're not following us. They're tracking us. Search yourself. If I'm right, it should feel like a..." Juniper began to say as she thought for the words, Clarke jumped to her rescue.
"A small bump just under your skin." Clarke finished and Juniper nodded her head head. Archer quickly took off his jacket whilst Anya tore her sleeve with her teeth.
"You mean this." Archer stated as he showed Juniper a bump in his skin. Juniper nodded her head. Anya showed Clarke and Juniper the exact same but.
"It's you two." Juniper whispered as she growled at them slightly. She was annoyed that Clarke and her got the blame.
"Okay, I could remove it, but you need to untie my hands. I just need something sharp and sterile." Clarke explained as Anya and Archer looked at one another. They both bit into their arms and pulled out their tracking chips before spitting them back out.
"I will not go back there." Anya panted before she began walking. Archer did the same thing and the quartet continued to march through the woods, this time not tracked.
"Archer, you're still bleeding. At least let Clarke bandage it before it gets infected. Anya you too." Juniper explained as she loosened herself a little from the rope, enough to reach her gun. The Grounders looked at one another before they nodded her head. Juniper coughed to give Clarke the que. Clarke grabbed the tranquilizer dart from her pocket and stabbed it into Anya's neck. Juniper grabbed her gun and pointed it at Archer.
"We can find our own way home from here." Clarke whispered before she tied up Anya onto a stretcher that she had quickly made, whilst Juniper tied up Archer.
"Looks like you're my prisoner now." Juniper smirked before she pulled on the ties. "Too tight?" Juniper asked sarcastically as Archer just smirked a little. Clarke stood up and began to pull Anya.
"Come on, we are going home." Clarke sighed with relief and Juniper nodded her head as she began walking with Archer. All three of them walked in a row, whilst Anya was dragged from behind by Clarke and Juniper.
"Your people will just kill us, you are walking us into danger." Archer explained and Clarke just scoffed as Juniper laughed. Bit rich coming from him.
"So you weren't going to do that to us?" Juniper asked and Archer just stayed silent as he walked. Clarke looked at him sympathetically.
"Our people are not going to do anything to you, trust me." Clarke reassured.
"What will they do?" Archer asked as Juniper looked at the tattoos at his arm. They were really beautiful and reminded Juniper of the tribal tattoos she saw from pictures in the history books in The Ark's library. Juniper and Bellamy used to sneak in there and kiss by the The War of San Francisco section and Old Romance.
"Include you." Juniper stated as she kept her eyes straight. Soon enough, the trio finally reached the dropship. Juniper blinks to mask the tears as she sees what they built destroyed. Her first ever picture of Red Robin, her spear, the tent that she shared with Clarke, the necklace. Clarke dropped Anya as she walked up to a blurred sign on the dropship that Abby had left her.
Whilst, Juniper dragged Archer to the necklace site.
"My necklace it isn't here." Juniper whispered as she went to the spot where she remembered falling. There was new tracks on the ground, somebody else had been here.
"Maybe somebody took it." Archer said from the back as he carefully began to slip his hands from the ties that bound them together. Juniper began to stand up.
"Or maybe Bell, what if he is-" Juniper began to say but she stopped as Archer pushed her to the ground.
"I'm sorry for this." Archer said as he looked like he was away to fight her. Juniper nodded her head as she took the gun from her back pocket quickly before she pointed at him. Clarke and Anya were getting into a pretty heated fight.
"So am I." Juniper whispered as she slowly stood up, not moving her gun from Archer's forehead. "I don't want to shoot you, I want to help you." Juniper reassured as Archer moved forward to her. He placed his forehead on the barrel of the gun. Juniper shook her head as she started to cry, she was not going to kill him. She couldn't do that. "Please, don't make me do it. Just come home with us." Juniper said as she nodded her head over to Clarke who had won against Anya. She threw the gun to the side and helped Anya up.
"Fine." Archer muttered as he took a step back. Juniper gave him a thanking smile just as Clarke pointed up to a beacon in the sky. It could only be The Ark.
"We are going home." Clarke whispered before Juniper jumped on her giggling. They had went through hell and back, but they had finally found their way home. Soon enough they began on their trek home.
"Who is Bell?" Archer asked curiously as he caught up to Juniper. Juniper looked down as she smiled to herself. Smiled at the thought that Bellamy could still be alive.
"My boyfriend."
"Is he the one who is supposedly dead?" Archer asked and Juniper nodded her head.
"Up until ten minutes ago I thought he was." Juniper answered and Archer slowly nodded his head as he looked down.
"You love him?"
"With all my heart."
"And you would do anything for him?" Archer asked and Juniper lifted up the rope that was tying Archer's hands together.
"I just escaped the most secure bunker this world has ever seen by jumping down a dam and holding a gun to your head." Juniper laughed and Archer chuckled to himself.
"When you put it like that." Archer whispered and Juniper nodded her head. One of the first times she had laughed since the war with The Grounders. "I have never had that kind of love." Archer bared honestly.
"I hope for the day that you get it." Juniper replied as she went to touch where her necklace used to rest.
"So do I." Archer whispered as he kept his eyes on Juniper. Juniper decided to make conversation, what else did she have to do? Clarke and Anya were a few paces further as they spoke about tactics.
"Have you had a girlfriend?" Juniper asked curiously.
"I have been killing my whole life, I have had no time for that." Archer replied as he looked away at the trees.
"Is that why you got captured by the mountain men?"
"No. I was with the boys of my village, and they have a tradition that you are a man when you become twenty, if you survive a night in the reapers tunnel." Archer answered and Juniper scoffed.
"What about women?" Juniper asked as she crossed her arms over, still holding onto Archer by the rope.
"They do it to." Archer chuckled.
"So they aren't a man, they are a woman." Juniper corrected and Archer nodded his head.
"Yes, I was just saying man in the context of me, but girls can do it too and they become a woman." Archer explained and Juniper smiled over at him.
"Does everyone do that?" Juniper asked.
"Everyone who wants to be commander or be high up in war rankings, like a war chief." Archer answered. Juniper smirked at him, he clearly had high hopes. "All five of us were ambushed from outside of the reaper tunnels. I was the only one who was put in the cages." Archer explained as he thought about the traumatic experience. The way he was put through Quarantine, the way the water smacked against his body, he could feel it all and it made him shiver.
"Where were the rest?" Juniper asked quietly.
"Dead, hopefully." Archer asked deadpan before he decided to change the subject. He did not want to think about what happened to his friends. "I would ask how you were captured but Anya already mentioned that one." Archer said.
"Who knew about the war?" Juniper asked and Archer chuckled as he nodded his head.
"I was there. But I missed the ring of fire." Archer answered and Juniper looked down as she felt guilty. But she was happy that he was not in the explosion.
"Look." Clarke shouted as she pointed and Juniper ran up to her with Archer. They saw The Ark all brightly lit in the distance in the nightfall sky. It was getting late and Juniper just wanted to get to The Ark.
"It's The Ark." Juniper whispered smiling as she looked at Clarke, who was on the brink of tears. Clarke just wanted to be reunited with her Mom. They walked at a fast pace until they got to the outskirts of camp in the shrubs.
"How many are there?" Anya asked as they watched the people walk around camp.
"I don't know. A lot, I hope. I'm letting you go. I'm not weak, but I'm not like you. Our only chance against Mount Weather is if we fight together. To beat them, we'll need our technology and your knowledge of this world. I know my people will help. The question is, will yours?" Clarke said powerfully before she looked to Archer and Anya. Archer nodded his head. Clarke and Juniper untied Anya and Archer.
"The commander was my second. I can get an audience." Anya explained and Clarke nodded his head.
"Archer is staying with us. We need someone to explain things to the Chancellor." Juniper added as she looked up at Clarke. They all quickly shook hands.
"Please hurry." Clarke pleaded as Anya began to run off, just at the sound of gunshots. Anya had been hit.
"Anya!" They all shouted in unison as they ran to where Anya had collapsed. They knelt down beside her as Clarke placed pressure on the wound.
"Hey. Hey, hey, hey. No, no, no, no. No, no. Hey. It's ok." Clarke reassured as Juniper placed a comforting hand on Anya's head. Stroking her hair gently.
"Yu gonplei ste odon." Archer whispered as Anya nodded her head. Clarke was not taking that as an answer as she tried to find a solution to helped Anya. She was not going to let Anya die.
"No. No, no, no. Anya, you're ok. You're ok." Clarke begged as she started to cry. Little did the group know, the Guard were getting closer to them. Including, Juniper's Dad.
"This is including us?" Archer snapped at Juniper as he watched his friend bleed out. Juniper closed her eyes as the tears streamed down her face.
"I didn't think they would do this." Juniper whispered to Archer before she turned her head and got a gun to the head. She was knocked out unconscious and the only thing she can remember is seeing Clarke and Archer falling the same way she did.
Little did she know that she was being dragged, alongside Clarke and Archer, into her new home.
