A/N:
Yeah, I know Mirajane's chapter was sad and depressing. But the point if that was to show the burden she carries. Because of her timid and nice nature, she hears about and deals with everyone's problems. And it really makes her feel depressed at times. Sometimes other female crew members are mean to her because everyone loves her so much. She has all these responsibilities that makes her feel as if she can't be herself, and she hates that.
I honestly did mean for that to be a happy chapter, but if I can squeeze in another Mira chapter, I will.
I really am sorry about never updating and when I do, making them terrible. In a way I feeling Mirajane's pain because I know how disappointing I am. I cannot apologize enough.
So, anyway, enjoy this dynamic chapter!
Lucy's POV
Something wasn't right, I could feel it. The waves was calm, too calm. I couldn't fight off the uneasy feeling in the pit of my stomach. It had been aching constantly for a few weeks now, so I feared I had some illness. I can barely keep any solid food down, so my stomach also ached with hunger continuously.
"Luce?" Natsu called in his soft voice. He had been babying me since I fell ill, and to be honest, it was adorable. "Yeah, Natsu?" I called back from the rail if the ship. "Lucy!" He yelled, noticing my location. I jumped at his sudden outburst, "Natsu! What the-"
He had ran up to me, grabbed my shoulders and pulled me away from the rail. "Lucy, you can't be near the edge! You don't feel well, and you'll fall off!" He scolded me. "You know better." He placed a sweet kiss on my lips, held my hand and walked me back to our bedroom.
"Natsu, I'm fine, I promise." I plead at him, trying to get it through his thick skull. He gave me an annoyed stare. "Throwing up after one bite of food, is not fine. Don't fight me, Lucy." He begged me.
He kissed my forehead and swept me up in his arms, causing me to let out a shriek and then a giggle. "Natsu, what are you doing?"
"You're my little baby, so I'm gonna treat you like one." He announced, laying me in our bed.
I giggled. "Natsu, stop. You have other duties than your's to me. You need to go be Captain."
"Nothing is happening. Tbe seas are calm, we are away from land, and rarely any other ships pass through here. Everything is fine, my love." He whispered in my ear. I couldn't help but giggle a little when his lips with brush against my ear when he was speaking.
"Alright, you can stay." I whisper back at him, smiling. He grins back at me.
I always loved moments like these. Everything was perfect. Just the two of us. Imagining a world where it was just us seemed perfect, even though I would miss all my other new friends.
But, when I am with Natsu, I feel...whole.
My whole life, I had felt like there was something missing. There was a constant nagging pain in my heart. That all changed when Natsu and I got together and became mates. I felt like my heart was overflowing with happiness. He makes me feel so giddy and happy. But also possessive and angry over him *Cough cough* Lisanna incident *Cough cough*
"Captain!" Gray's voice yelled from outside the door, startling us.
Natsu jerked up. "What is it, Gray?"
Bile rose up in my throat, burning. Something was wrong, very wrong.
Natsu flung the door open, looked back at me and said "Lucy, stay here."
I nodded at him, grabbing a blanket and curling up with it.
"Mira! Juvia! Levy! Wendy! Come in here with, Lucy! Now!" Natsu barked his orders.
The four girls shuffled in the room immediately. Natsu's eyes locked mine, they was filled with worry. "I love you, Lucy." He says with a determined look.
I smiled. "I love you too, Natsu." He smiled back, and left, closing the door behind him.
"Mira, what's happening?" I ask, curling deep inside my blankets, trying to find comfort in my sickened state.
"We're being attacked." Mira said softly as she sat on the bed next to me.
My eyes widened. "Are you serious?"
All the girls nodded. I closed my eyes. "But, we'll beat them, won't we?"
"It's a pretty large ship, Lucy. But, I'm sure we will." Levy said, patting my leg.
I couldn't shake this uneasy feeling away. No matter how hard I willed myself to think positively, the thought of one of my nakama getting hurt made me want to burst into a million pieces.
Wendy patted my arm. "How are you feeling, Lucy?" She asked me with worried eyes. Such a shame for someone as young as her with so much worry.
"Just a little sick, is all. I'll be well soon, Wendy." I smiled at her.
"About that... Lucy, there's something I need to ask you about..." Wendy started.
"Enemies have come on board! We need to be manly to win this battle, men" A loud masculine voice announced. I figured it to be Elfman.
"Barricade the door!" Juvia squealed.
Mira nodded with determination and began pushing large furniture to block the door.
"Natsu wouldn't let someone in here." Levy said, attempting to comfort us.
"I know he wouldn't. I trust him." I say. But the overbearing sickness came over me once more. Emptying the contents of my stomach in the pot that has been by my bedside for awhile now.
Levy and Juvia pulled my hair away from my face, while Wendy asked me various medical questions.
BANG!
BANG!
BANG!
The loud clash of a metal object, probably a sword hilt, was banging against the door handle.
We all cowered on the bed, Wendy had begun to shed tears quietly.
"Stay away from her, you b@stard!" Natsu roared and tackled the person who was banging against the door.
A loud yell let out. A yell that was all too familiar to me....
Loke.
"Loke?" I say out loud.
Tell me I'm not hearing things.
I rose to my feet, shaking lightly.
It couldn't be him....
But then again...
It had to be him!
I started pushing the furniture out of the way, enough to peek through the key hole.
I knelt down, peering through the small opening.
Sure enough, standing there was Loke, having a battle with the love of my life.
I can't belive it.
What is he doing here?!
"Lucy, what are you doing?" Mira asked me.
"My friend... He's out there fighting Natsu." I say, still trying to wrap my head around it.
Mira scoffed, something very unlike her to do. "Lucy, he isn't your friend. A friend wouldn't attack us."
"I don't know what his motives are, but he is harmless." I tell her. She doesn't know Loke like I do.
"If he's so harmless, then why is he attacking us? Huh?! My brother, my sister, and all of our friends are out there fighting your friend, while we sit in here and cower! Would a friend kill the love of his friend's life? Open your eyes, Lucy! How can you be so blind?!" Mira said desperately.
I barely noticed the tears dripping, one by one down my cheeks. "Youre right, Mira. We are cowering away in here. Mira, I am a coward. I've never fought anyone before. I've never been in this situation. Of course, I'm scared. I know Loke, he's my friend. He's always had a one track mind. But I know there's good in him. He probably doesn't even know the situation." I rose to my feet, and shoved the last bit of furniture out of the way.
"Lucy, what are you doing?" Juvia asked.
"I need to clear this up. Killing each other will solve nothing." I open the door and the sight before me makes me want to vomit.
Blood is splattered across the deck like crimson confetti. Although most of the men lying motionless are not our crew, I still feel a pang of hurt and regret.
Natsu and Loke are still fighting. Both of this blood litters the floor. I can't take it anymore. "Natsu! Loke! Stop this now!"
"Lucy! What are you doing out here?! It's dangerous! And how do you know him?!" Natsu yelled.
"He is a guard of the palace. He was my friend when I was still princess." I say calmly.
"You can still be princess, Lucy! Come home with me! King Jude has become plagued with grief once again! He regrets his choices, he has ordered me to bring you home!" Loke said.
"Like h3ll you will!" Natsu roared, bringing his sword down to slice Loke's chest.
Loke cried out in pain. But I didn't notice. All i noticed was the look in his eye. I've known Loke all my life, and I most certainly knew when he told a lie.
I couldn't tell what hurt more, the fact he lied to me, or the fact that my father truly didn't care about me.
"I said to stop!" I yell. Both of them turn and look at me. "This fighting will help nothing."
"Then stop this, Lucy. Come home with me. Everyone misses you." Loke pleaded.
"This is my home! Natsu and I are together, Loke. I love him. He makes my heart burst with happiness. I do miss home, but he is my home. He is my anchor. No matter how hard I sway, he keeps me on the ground." I tell him. "Go home, Loke."
Loke grinned. "Not without you, sweet princess."
I shrieked as a hand came over my mouth, another arm wrapped around mine so I couldn't escape.
The arms was small, and dainty. Just like a woman's.
The smell of them could qualify to being trademarked.
The smell of cheap perfume, wine and s3x.
"Oh, how the tables have turned, Blondie." The voice of venom sneered in my ear.
I gasped.
It couldn't be her.
This can't be happening.
Slowly, I turned my head to the side and was face to face with the one girl I hated most.
Lisanna Strauss.
"Surprise, b!tch." She grinned at me and jammed a needle into the side of my neck.
I slumped face first on the ground, my surroundings fading.
"Lucy!" Natsu roared. But most of Loke's remaining men had held him down.
"Sorry, it had to be this way." Loke said with a smirk.
I felt his hands around my waist and my body being flung over his shoulder. "It was nice seeing you again, Dragneel. Too bad it won't happen again."
He started walking to the plank that led from Fairy Tail to Loke's ship.
"Lisanna, how could you?" Natsu asked her, still struggling violently against Loke's fifteen men.
She laughed. "Isn't it obvious? With that little Blondie out of the way, you're mine. You'll have to wait for me though. Loke owes me big bucks for helping him. See you around!" And with a wave of goodbye, she left the Fairy Tail.
"Lisanna, wait!" Mirajane shouted.
"What is it?" She snapped.
"Why?" Mira pleaded for her to answer.
Lisanna scoffed. "I was bored. And you know how I like to play games, Mira. I really must be going, now. Goodbye!" She grinned as if she hadn't crushed her sister's heart, she kicked the plank joining the two ships off into the ocean.
At that point, my consciousness was hanging by a thread.
And I swear, I could hear my mother singing softly to me.
A/N: So how was all my American readers' Thanksgiving? Mine was pretty great.
