"Hey, Mom," I called Mom who's busy in the kitchen cooking something. I am lying on the couch and binging a series.
"Yes, Marina?" she asked.
"Aren't you going to the boutique?"
"No."
I furrowed my eyebrows and sat upright. "Why?" I asked.
Mom wasn't able to answer when we heard the doorbell ring.
"Get the door for me, Marina," Mom said.
I sighed before standing up and walking over to the door to open it.
"You look like sh*t," a familiar voice said. I opened the door widely and squealed when I saw Andrew.
I ran to him and threw my arms around him. He laughed and carried me before spinning me around.
"Why didn't you tell me you were going to visit?" I asked when he placed me down.
"It wouldn't be a surprise if I told you now, would it?" he sarcastically answered and I rolled my eyes. Both of us laughed.
"How are you, Marina?" Tita Khaila asked.
"Good. How are you, Tita?" I asked back.
"Always good, dear," she answered. "Where's your mom?"
"Oh, she's in the kitchen," I answered. "Please come in," I said, gesturing for them to follow me inside.
Tita Khaila immediately walked over to the kitchen while Drew and I sat on the couch.
Oh, I forgot to mention. Andrew is Tita Khaila's son. They live in North Carolina. Mom tried convincing them to move here but Tito John, Drew's dad doesn't want to.
"How are you, babe?" he asked.
"Never been better," I answered.
"You do seem happy. Spill," he said.
I chuckled. "I have a boyfriend now," I answered.
His eyes widened. "You're joking."
"Nope," I answered, proudly.
"So, Uncle Gabriel finally agreed, huh?" he said and I giggled.
"Hey, Marina. Take Drew out. Be back before dinner, okay?" Mom said.
"Where do you want to go?" I asked Drew.
"Wherever you want to go." He smiled.
I rolled my eyes. "Just choose."
"I don't know. You're the New Yorker here," he said before chuckling.
"You're no fun," I said before standing up and leaving him in the living room so I could change my clothes.

"I don't think I'll enjoy this," Drew said when we entered the theater to watch a broadway show.
I asked Mom if we could watch a show and she agreed. She also gave me money since ticket prices aren't that cheap. We are going to watch Hamilton live.
Drew isn't really a fan of Broadway shows but he can't say no whenever I ask him to come with me.
"Oh, come on, Drew. We've seen Aladdin and The Lion King before but you didn't complain and you asked me to choose our activity so here we are," I told him.
He just shook his head and helped me find our seats.
It didn't take long before the show started. I paid attention to every detail and never missed a scene. I would sometimes glance at Drew. He was busy watching for the first half and then fell asleep for the remaining time.
The show was two hours and fifty-five minutes. It started at 2 pm and we walked out of the theater by 5.
"I won't ask you how was it because I knew you were bored," I said when we exited the theater.
"No, it was okay. I was just tired which is why I fell asleep," he answered.
I linked my arm with his and leaned on his shoulder while walking. "I still don't want to go home."
"Any more places we can go to?" he asked.
"We could walk around Times Square for the meantime," I suggested and he nodded as a response. "How long will you be staying here?"
"Until tomorrow. I think your mom will take us to the Empire State," he answered.
"Where will you be sleeping then?" I furrowed my eyebrows.
"You won't mind sharing a room like before, right, roomie?" he asked.
I chuckled. "Of course."
"Brielle?" someone called from behind. Drew and I turned around to see who it was and my eyes widened to see Xander with Maddie.
Xander was looking at me then at Drew. He also saw our linked arms.
"Hey, Xander," I said and pulled Drew with me. "This is Andrew. He's my best friend," I introduced.
"Drew, this is Xander and his sister, Maddie," I introduced them to him.
"Hi. I'm Maddie. You are single if I'm not mistaken?" Maddie introduced herself to Drew who just chuckled at what she said.
"Xander," Xander introduced before walking over to where I am and unlinking my arm with Drew's.
Drew furrowed his eyebrows. Xander held my hand and intertwined our fingers. "I'm Gabbie's boyfriend."

"I'm hungry," I announced while we were walking.
"Girl, same," Maddie said.
"How about we get cheesecake like the ones we get before?" Drew suggested.
"Yeah, let's do that," I excitedly answered.
"It'll be my treat this time," he said and I giggled.
"It's alright, Andrew. I'll just be treating all of you," Xander volunteered.
"You can call me Drew and it's okay. Gabbie paid for our broadway tickets so it'll be nice to give her a treat," Drew countered.
"Oh, so you watched a Broadway show together," Xander said before looking at me.
I raised both of my eyebrows to ask what's the matter with that.
"Gabbie, let's go," Drew said before grabbing my hand.
I yelped when Xander pulled me away from him and because I lost balance, I bumped into his chest.
"You can ask her to come with you without holding her hand. You're just her best friend. I'm her boyfriend. Know your place," Xander suddenly blurted.
My eyes widened. I looked at Drew and his hand is placed on his mouth, shocked by Xander's sudden outburst. No one spoke for a few seconds until Drew and I started laughing.
Xander glared at us. "Why are you laughing?"
"Aww..." I said.
"Someone's jealous, huh?" Drew said and both of us laughed again.
"Oh, love. Stop being jealous," I told Xander before wrapping my arms around him. "Drew is just a friend and besides, I'm not his type."'I shrugged.
"I refuse to believe that," he said.
I chuckled. "I'm not his type because you are his type," I said and Xander's eyes widened. He looked at Drew who was smiling at him.
"I'm stealing your man, Gabbie. He'll be mine in just a snap," Drew said.
I turned around and glared at him. "Andrew Perez, don't you dare."
"So, you're gay?" Maddie asked.
Drew shrugged. "You got a problem with that?" Drew asked, raising his right eyebrow.
"You're scaring the poor girl, Drew." I laughed.
"I need that cheesecake real bad," Maddie said before walking away.
I shook my head and laughed.
"I'm going to follow your sister so you guys could talk," Drew said before running after Maddie.
I looked at Xander. "It wasn't obvious," he said.
I chuckled. "Probably because he's been hiding it for so long."
"Is he still not out of the closet?" Xander asked.
"Partially," I answered. "Everyone knows except his dad."
"Why?"
"Well, his dad is a soldier and can be strict at times. He wants Drew to enter the military too but that's not what Drew wants. In terms of telling him about his gender, he tried so many times but get tongue-tied every time. We're not pressuring him though. Confess when he wants and don't if he's not yet ready," I explained.
"I'm sorry if I got jealous over nothing." Xander looked down.
I chuckled before kissing him on the cheek. He then looked at me and I smiled at him. "That's alright, love. Even if you got so jealous and wanted to bury Drew to the ground, I still love you either way."
