(Note: With that, begins a new attempt, a new storyline for y'all. Hope y'all will get to travel along with this as well. This little poem summarises the whole story)
It's 6pm, meaning close of business. While bidding bye to colleagues, Ashwita closed her laptop's lid quickly and left office, towards train station, wanting to avoid the crowd that'll come in no time.
She managed to get in but train was waiting a little longer than usual. She put a messy bun for her hair and plugged in her earphones, went to Spotify and played "For Rides" playlist of hers.
Train finally moved and reached Tambaram Station, which is her stop. Ashwita got down and rushed quickly to her work place, punched in just on time and carried on with her routine. By the time work ended, it was about 10ish and from there, towards train station again to get back home.
When she reached the platform, she heard the announcement "Train to Chennai Beach Station will be delayed by 45 minutes". Ashwita sighed hearing it and saw all the rest passengers getting restless as well. She went on to her usual spot and sent a text to home saying she'd be late tonight.
15 minutes later and many passengers moved on from platform, and there were barely about 10 people waiting for the delayed train. Noticing the emptiness, she had her earphones plugged in still but wasn't listening to songs, just to be aware of her surroundings.
She could hear someone's whispering nearby, turned and saw a person standing really close to her. She gave a cold stare and moved back, and the person said "Hey, so sorry, do you know why is the train getting delayed and by how long will it be?". Ashwita realized it's a regular passenger that takes the night train, she has seen the person almost every week.
With that comfort, she responded "It's delayed for about 45 mins, they announced it earlier on"
"Oh okay, thank you" said Ashwin, to Ashwita and walked away, stood against a wall, continued reading his book.
To Be Continued
