Skye's POV

After that embarrassing first P.E lesson I headed to my form class to get my backpack and go home...

I walked closer to the form room and started to hear muttering

"Wow, that's so cool! No wonder you're so sporty!" I heard a girl with a low, calm British accent say

"And handsome too," The familiar voice said

"Yeah right," They both chuckled

"So, wanna go home together?" The girl suggested

"Sure!" The boy agreed

I heard footsteps walking out of the door and sadly I didn't watch where I was going and...

OOF! 

"Ow..." I moaned while rubbing my head

"Oh! Skye Quill!" The girl's voice said excitedly

I stared at the girl, She was pretty, Her eyes were covered with black sunglasses, she had a black, leather, expensive looking jacket with dark blue ripped jeans. Her feet were covered in beautiful black boots all the way up to her knees, her hair was silky and wavy and was the colour of black and her ends were white. 

"Um... hey," I awkwardly waved

"Chasey has told me so little about you!" She shook my hand rapidly

Chasey...? 

"Oh um... G I think we should go now," He pulled her wrist

"Chase..." I muttered quietly

"Oh yes right!" She nodded as she got her lipstick out of her back and pressed it to her lips

"By the way my names Gasket," She put her lipstick in her bag

"Wow, so your the popular girl who I saw in first period," I was surprised 

"Yes, that was me," 

"You are really different from your usual self as in first you were a... bit moody," I quickly closed my mouth

"Oh... I'm just not a morning person," She shrugged

"Gasket, come on!" Chase shook her

"Just in a bit Chasey, we're not really in a big hurry you know?" She took off her sunglasses to reveal her dark green eyes

"I know but, I just really wanna... get out of this prison!" He angrily stated

"Oh alright, anyways Skye would you wanna walk home with us?" Gasket suggested

"Um sorry I can't. I use Taxi," I said with anger as those two were quite close to each other

"Oh, too bad...Well anyways, let's go Chasey!" She pulled his arm and they ran out of the hall

"That girl looked horrid," Gasket whispered to Chase 

"I know right?" Chase laughed

I spat all my jealousy out with a big "UGH!" I screamed and stomped my feet

I was quite confused about this crush I developed in one day, I must be mental!

After I calmed myself down I walked outside and called a cab on my out-dated phone

After I realised something...

"I DON'T HAVE ANY MONEY!" I wheezed out loud

The people raised their eyebrows, I laughed awkwardly

What was I gonna do? Foggy Bottom is miles away!

"Ah yes! I could call my mum!" I remembered as I got my half broken phone

It was ringing....

And ringing...

And ringing...

"The person you are calling is not available right now, please try again later," The phone replied instead my mother

"Ughh!" I roared

"Woah there!" A familiar voice said

I turned around, it was Rubble!

"Rubble?" I widened my eyes

"Why are you still here?!" I asked

"Oh my parents are always late so I have to wait a few extra minutes after school,"

"Do you live far?" I asked

"No," He shook his head "just two minutes away from school,"

"Then, why on earth are your parents picking you up?!" I was surprised 

"Oh my parents don't trust me walking alone, they said I would be to drunk of chips...?" He scratched his head

"Well...they aren't wrong," I laughed

"Hey!" He playfully punched my arm

"Sweets, come on!" A calm person said

"Oh!" He turned his head to the lady, "I better go my mum arrived!" He then ran to his mother

"Alright...bye," I sighed, I'm alone again and have no way to get home

"Sweets, who is that girl?" The mother asked

"My new friend," Rubble smiled with some chip crumbs dangling off his teeth

"Friend...?" She asked

"Yes!" He nodded

"Oh my god," She quickly got her phone and dialed someone, "Honey? Our son made his first friend at school!" She said excitedly

Even though they were a few steps away I could still hear their conversation, Rubble's never got a friend before...?

Before I knew it the lady was in front of me, smiling.

"Hello! You must be Rubble's new friend! I would love to know your name young lady!" She said in a cheery tone

"I'm Skye," 

"What a lovely name! But...say I never seen you before," She tilted her head

"Oh I'm a new student, I just joined today,"  

"Wow you must make friends fast!" She was clearly surprised 

"No not really, Rubble is one of my truest friends!" I grinned

"Oh how lovely to hear that! May I ask...Where are your parents...? You've must been standing here for awhile," She asked

"My mother doesn't pick me up, I use Taxi," I answered 

"Your taxi must be late then," She said

"No, I'm a bit broke right now," I awkwardly laughed 

"Oh my, I sadly don't have any money on my hands right now but maybe when we get to my house we can get in my car and drive you home!" 

"Yes! Skye, we can have a road trip to your house!" Rubble said, really pumped 

"I don't wanna waste your time...-" I got cut off

"So it's settled, ROAD TRIP," The mother yelled 

"YAY!" Rubble clapped

We arrived at Rubble's household and Rubble's mother grabbed her car keys and went inside her Ford car...

"That's your car?" I asked in disbelief 

The car looked out-dated, it had stained, horrid windows, the tiers looked half deflated and the inside looked like it hadn't been clean for over a century and most of it was covered with Rubble's left over chips and some weird items.

"Yup! Isn't it a beauty?" Rubble's mum patted the steering wheel causing the wheel to fall off

I covered my mouth with my hand and lifted my eyes

"Ah...don't worry about that, It's just a bit loose!" The mother said in embarrassment

She started getting a tool box in the back of the dirty car and got out a screw driver 

"Voila! All better now!" Rubble's mum said proudly

"Let's hit the road!"

"Yay!" Rubble jumped in the car

I scratched my head and sighed after I also went inside the car

"Seatbelts secured? All right! Let's gooooooo!" She immediately stepped on the peddle

After that...disturbing experience, I got out of the car and waved goodbye to the Rubble and his mother after they left I vomited immediately.

After my puke session, I went to the door and unlocked it with my keys

"Mum? Mum? I'm home, I'm really sorry for being late,"

I heard no reply, just silence

She must be sleeping, but usually she gets up this time and has her daily dose of coffee but there was no activity

I eventually got worried and headed up to my mother's room and slowly opened the door...my mother wasn't there.

I thought for awhile and I had the idea that she headed to work early, I signed in relief and went to the door.

But then...I spotted something...

Hair.

Little pieces of hair lying on the floor and to my shock I found something that horrified me.

Blood.

I panicked and rushed to the home phone and dialed my mum, a few seconds later I heard buzzing in my mother's room I went inside again and realised my mother's phone was on her bed.

I wanted to know what happened to my mother, I went on her phone and saw many calls from my mother to the hospital.

I went on her messages app and saw many texts from her to the hospital

I went on her chats she wrote to the hospital and cried in shock

Before I even knew it, I packed my phone and my home keys and ran straight to the hospital...
