Skye's POV

I got out of bed and rushed to my closet, I could pick any clothes I want as the school doesn't have school uniform. I rummaged through the messy clothes pile and got out a silky, pink dress. I got a pair of white, tall boots that reached my knee. I brushed my wavy hair and went to the kitchen, I spotted my mum smiling at me

''Wow Skye, you look beautiful,''

''Thanks mum,'' I hugged her

After finishing breakfast I got out of the house and headed to my new school, I called a cab and hopped In

The school was In Adventure Bay, just 10 minutes away from Foggy Bottom, I was so excited but so nervous at the same time. I thought for a while but didn't realise I arrived

''That will be £7.57p Miss,'' The cab driver stated

I checked my wallet and only have a £5 note, what can I say... I was low In cash

''Err... I only have a £5 note sir,''

''WHAT YOU BETTER PAY UP,'' The cab driver shouted

''I don't have money...''

''Give me your credit card then,''

''I don't have one...''

''I give you a ride, and you give me money!'' He angrily stated

''But I don't have-'' I was cut off from a knock on the car window

The mad driver opened the car door

''I'll pay,'' A girl said

''How much?'' She questioned

''£7.57...''

''Here,'' She handed him the money

Before the driver could talk, the girl grabbed my wrist and took my out of the car

''Thank you,'' I breathed heavily after that conversation

''No problem!'' Her cheery voice made me smile

''Have we met? I don't think I saw you In Patrol High before,'' She tilted her head

''No, this is my first day,''

''Ohh, then let me introduce myself!'' She let go of my wrist

''My name's Everest Winters! What's yours?''

''I'm Skye Quill,''

''So Skye? Do you wanna be friends?''

''Sure! I love making friends!'' I was overjoyed my first friend!

''Yay, I'll show you around school!'' She jumped around

''Okay!'' I also jumped for some reason, I looked carefully at Everest, She had platimuim silky hair and was wearing a white jumper and a black and white skirt, and there was a fluffy, white scarf around her neck aswell.

We went inside the school was welcomed by posters everywhere we looked, The hallway was huge. So many kids my age, the smart ones, the cool ones, the popular ones and much more walking through the long halls

''So this is the DT room, oh and this is the science block, and the math area-''

RINGGGGG! ALL STUDENTS SHOULD HEAD TO CLASS!

''Time for class, What subject are you going to?'' She itched her head

I checked my new timetable that was given to me from Mayor Goodway and searched the class I was going to.

''Umm... English!'' I grinned

''Oh my god! Same, I'll show you to class,'' Everest smiled

I followed her to a different hall. Books and paper with writing was hanged on the walls, Everest stopped at a door

''We're here! Room 10D!'' She skipped Into class

I followed her and saw posters about English around the big room

''Woah,'' I looked at the big room then I spotted a tall woman coming near me, she must be the teacher

''Hello, You must be Skye Quill! Lovely to meet you!'' She shook my hand

''And you must be my English teacher, Lovely to meet you too!

''Oh hmff! Call me Mrs Katie,''

''Alright, Mrs Katie,'' I nodded

Katie looked at me then to the class who were sitting on their desks

''Hmm, where should I put you?'' Katie looked at the empty seat

''Why not there?'' She pointed at a table with a boy who had his head down

''Next to him?''

''Yes, Chase has been quite lonely sitting there all alone, because a few months ago his old desk partner died,''

''Wait what?'' I was shocked

''He was murdered,'' She spat out

''By who?!''

''No one knows...'' Katie said In a spooky tone

''Well now... get to your seat!'' Her voice turned cheery again

''Okay...'' I gave her a shocked look before I turned around and headed to my seat

I saw the students stare at me In shock, I think some were trying to warn me about something. And some shook their heads freakishly at me

I ignored It and headed to my seat next to the boy named Chase.

I sat down and heard a whisper from another table

''You're dead,'' A boy gave a warning look

''How?'' Whispering back to the boy

''He's probably the person who killed that poor kid a few months ago,'' He was pointing at Chase whose head was still down on the table

''Him?'' I got scared

''Yeah I think, but what's your name?'' He tilted his head

''Skye Quill, what about you?''

''Rubble Diggers!'' He chomped on some chips

Rubble was about to say something but he started whimpering and pointed at my direction, he looked to the other side

I turned my head around and saw Chase looking at me

Wow, he looked so dreamy. His cold dark brown eyes was so pleasant and so scared to look at, and his chocolate hair surfed with the wind. He was wearing a black tracksuit and I think he had black Nike trainers on, he felt so cold to look at and so lonely. I wanted to give him a hug for some reason.

God he was hot

I kept staring at him while he was staring at me. Did he feel the same way I felt for him? Pftt no we only just met

He opened his mouth ''We're you talking about me?'' His voice repeated In my head a thousand times

His voice was so cold and soft, he felt so calm, as for I well...

''N-no,'' I cracked my glaze from him and looked at the floor

''Are you stuttering?'' He laughed

''N-no NO!'' I shouted at him In one breath

''Don't lie pinky,'' He looked at my eyes

I looked back into them for some stupid reason ''I- I'm not lying,'' I snapped In broken words

He became to come a bit too close, the tension was filling me

Breath Skye, breath

I stupidly came closer as well, I know we just met but hey he was too irresistible not to look at

He was getting closer and closer

But he stopped and snickered...

He whispered ''You're so gullible pinky,''

I moved away from him and scoffed ''And you're such a player!''

''Aww, was I playing with your feelings?'' He again came closer

''NO!'' I pushed him back to his seat

''You're a feisty one I see,''

''And you're a player I see,''

''Hmm, we will be great friends Miss Quill,''

''H- how do you know my n-name?'' I felt like I was stuttering again

''I know everything pinky,'' He whispered and looked at the teacher
