Imagine #89: Camp Pop Punk (Part 3)

Imagine #89: Camp Pop Punk (Part 3)

"What are we doing out in the heavy pouring rain and what's that obstacle supposed to be?" one girl asked for all of you in there because you all have been wondering the same thing.

Patrick just led your whole cabin here earlier and he's not saying anything until you reached this area. The rain is pouring heavily that you can't even see things, it's too cold and there's mud everywhere. Lucky, you weren't really complaining about that compared to your other rich cabin mates.

"This is still a camp, so things like this is an activity here!" Patrick finally answered in an authoritative way.

"I thought this is a musical camp, why are we...

"What? Do you expect this camp to be all musical like we're all miraculously going to sing one song to describe our feelings out of the blue like in theatres and movies?" Patrick answered sassily and you almost snorted out loud. Well, technically he has a point. "Now, quit complaining and start stretching, you have to finish this course or you'll be sleeping outside tonight. Go!" he added and with that, you all moved.

Some started stretching, some just went for it and you, on the other hand, was just thinking if this is all safe or not.

"Well, I hope no one will die today." You murmured to yourself and started stretching. Your eyes wander the place, searching for Patrick but you find him nowhere. Maybe he just went off to dry himself off, the selfish guy, you thought.

After stretching, you started running to the obstacles. It really looks tiring to complete it and it requires a lot of strength and energy. There are tires which you need to run into, you have to climb walls, crawl under some wires and things as such. The rain isn't a big help too since it's almost zero visibility now.

Along the way, you're exerting more and more energy to each obstacle and also helping others pass them because really, they are rich people and not used to do things like this. You're not bringing them down with that thought, you're just trying to understand them and just helping them. Even if it's raining too hard, you're feeling that your body is hot and you're already catching your breath. But soon enough, you're thankful because you're up to the last obstacle.

It's a huge wall and you have to run and have a head start to reach the top because there's no rope or anything on it. A smile crept on your face when you saw the others helping each other up, giving another a boost or pulling them up. You're sure that someone will help you in there. You back away a little to have more space to run. You looked to your left and right and noticed that you are the last one in there. You really took your time because you were also helping the others.

"Well, here I go." You whispered and run for it.

Since you gave much energy in it, you managed to reach the top with the tip of your fingers. You really thought that someone will help you, but you've been hanging in there for too long.

"Um...guys...help." You murmured, you couldn't even open your eyes because the rain was heavily pouring on your face. "Guys!" you screamed as you feel your fingers slipping.

"Looks like you'll be the one spending the night out, Y/N." you heard one of the mean person in there and you couldn't do anything anymore.

You wanted to be angry because you've done a lot helping them and this is what you get, there are really a lot of cruel people in this world.

You know this will be a long way down because you saw the wall and it's really high up. You wouldn't fall down without a broken ankle in here and you couldn't really hold up more.

"Well, freak!" you whispered as your fingers slipped and you fall. Your eyes were still closed as you hear the laughs of those mean people and waited for that painful landing, but miraculously...someone caught you.

"Sugar we're going down, swinging." You heard the person who called you said and his voice was really wonderful. You opened your eyes as you saw that it was Patrick, he's holding you bridal style and has caught you from up that wall.

"T-thank you." You managed to say and somehow saw him smiled at you, but you're not sure because of this blinding rain.

Finally, he brought you down to the ground and he called everyone...he looked pissed too.

"Do all of you actually thought that I didn't saw what you did?" he asked angrily as you were standing in the back of the crowd. Now that you're standing still, you noticed some scratches around your legs and arms. "This activity is meant to strengthen you in here physically, but that doesn't end there. This course will be a lot easier if you just helped each other out and I think I only saw one person who showed something like that...and in turn, you let her down, literally." He added.

No one was saying a thing, of course they are guilty to what they have done.

"What you've done is all rud—

"Well, don't come clean! You've been rude to each one of us since we got here. Being the head of our cabin doesn't give you the right to –

Suddenly you looked up and you know that guy ticked Patrick off. Soon enough, he's holding the guy on his shirt and Patrick looked so pissed, yet there's something in his eyes.

"Well, buddy, at least I'm not letting someone get hurt from being rude. Yes, I may be like that, but I know my limits and hurting a girl is way across the line." Patrick said with a gritted teeth and pushed the guy away. "Back in the cabin and do whatever the fuck you want. Keep that attitude and I'll just enjoy myself seeing the most of you drop down because of that." He said as he walked away.

You are just looking at him in shock while the others stay in silent...you're sure that you saw that nice side of him back then.

----------------

Patrick's been silent all day, he's not bothering you or not paying attention to you at all. He's just there, on his bed while he plays his guitar.

You, on the other hand, was still on the sofa unconsciously staring at him.

"Is there something on my face?" he asked while still staring at his guitar.

"Um...nothing. I just...can't believe I'm seeing you play that up close." You answered shyly and saw him arrogantly smirk. "And also...thanks for earlier, I would have ended up with a broken ankle if it wasn't for you." You added.

"Well, I know I did what's best. I wouldn't let anyone get hurt from that." He answered and you laughed at him mockingly after that then he stared at you.

"Says the guy who took us to that dangerous obstacle course during a heavy rain. You're really keeping us safe." You said and you swore that you heard him snorted and almost laughing out loud.

Patrick smiled a little and god even if you hate the guy now somehow, that smile still melts you. He's really still your biggest crush.

You noticed your face burning up and before he could even say anything more, you lay down on the sofa and turned your back on him, just secretly hoping after this day...he'd be a little less rude to everyone and a little more true to himself.
