Imagine #88: Camp Pop Punk (Part 2)

Imagine #88: Camp Pop Punk (Part 2)

Nature is really beautiful, most especially at a place like this. The sun was setting and the orange glow makes everything relaxing. The breeze of the wind was just right and the smell of fresh air just makes you smile. Everything was perfect...then suddenly...water...cold water...in your face.

"AAAHH!!!" you went to sit up straight when you felt the icy cold water hit your face. You were sleeping, having a beautiful dream, now this! "What the heck?!!" you asked in frustration then you looked up, seeing the culprit looking at you with no emotion in his face.

"You drool when you sleep." {A/N: I love you if you know where that came from} he said with no emotion. The small bucket was still in his hands and you're sure that it has ice on it.

"What the hell, Patrick?!" you asked angrily. You've really lost your respect for the guy. It's been days since you've been seeing him rude to you and the others.

"Get up, I've been trying to wake you up for minutes now." He said, walking back to his bed. He was currently wearing gym clothes. You looked outside and the sun has not risen yet.

"It's so early, what do you want?" you asked irritably.

"I'm going out for a jog, you have to go out of the room because I'm gonna lock it." He said, already looking so annoyed because you are moving slowly.

You groaned irritably, you have no idea how you had the guts to treat him like this considering he's always been your crush and idol for years, but maybe seeing his true color changes your perspective towards him. You annoyingly collected some of your things before you can go and walk past him and while doing so, you made faces at his back too.

"Such a shame that I considered you as my idol before." You whispered a little too loud before going out and slamming the door behind you, leaving Patrick behind.

Patrick, on the other hand, heard what you said that somehow made him stop what he doing and look at the door. He was finally able to breathe and sigh loudly, looking so down while he remembers what you just said. It was really hard for him to act this way, but he had learned his lessons before...that maybe being too nice will just lead him to people that want to take advantage him...so he chose to be like this and find someone that can endure it, rather than find someone who'll like his kindness then turn up to take advantage of it sooner or later.

--------------

He's really not fine as he seems in media. You've accepted to yourself that Mr. Patrick Stump is very different in real life.

What he portrays in interviews, social media, and concerts are waaaay...WAY different from what you are seeing right now. The guy couldn't give a fuck to everything and he's always rude, no exceptions. Nothing seems to make him smile or laugh, it also feels like he's a grumpy robot of some sort. You were very disappointed, of course, you looked up to that guy for years, believing that he's one of the nicest person here on earth, but you proved yourself wrong...so wrong.

That was all your thoughts talk to your mother at the cafeteria there because you decided to just help out with her work. You couldn't sleep again since the ice cold water woke up your whole personality and that's all thanks to that Stump.

"Don't be too hard for the guy, sweetie. Maybe there's a rea—

"Mom, he freaking dumped an ice cold water o my face just to wake me up. And he said I drool when I sleep, I mean...those kind of things should never be done and said to a girl." You ranted, but your mom just laughed at you.

"Sweetie, you're just confused with your feelings. You always look up to him as a kind person and now you've been seeing him like this, you're trying to hide all those feelings now. Like you're regretting all of it, but you can't. I know you, Y/N, you're even in love with that guy." She teased you more, but as they always say, mothers knows best.

"Moooooom, stop it, it's not like –

"Hello? Is anyone here?" you and your mom suddenly heard someone and you know who's voice was that – Patrick.

"I have to hide!" you whispered shout and crawled in one of the big cabinets under the counter your mom is currently working at. You just found out that relatives of the staff couldn't participate in any contest in that camp, so you have to keep the relationship with your mom a secret, or else this trip will go to waste.

Your mom just helped you hide yourself as she acted normal in there.

"Um, hey, I'm here. What can I do for you...um, Mr. Stump?" your mom said and you can hear her smiling and being sincere.

"Oh, hey, you're really working early here huh. Are you alone? I thought I was hearing another voice in here." He said, but now his tone is different. More like a sincere and kind note.

"No, you must be hearing things. I'm always the early bird here." Your mom answered with a laugh. "So, do you need an early breakfast? Or maybe a drink?" she continued.

Patrick suddenly chuckled. "No, I'm good. I just finished jogging outside and I don't want to go back to the cabin yet, I might have been a little bit rude to someone there." He said and he seems a little shy now.

"Oh, what did the girl did to you for her to deserve such treatment?" your mom asked.

"Actually, nothing...it's just. Nevermind, let's just leave it that way." Patrick said. "Do you need any kind of help here? I have a free time, ma'am." His tone suddenly became enthusiastic.

"Oh, that'd be great!" your mom said, probably teasing you again. You playfully hit her legs in there. "You're really kind, Mr. Stump, someone was saying you are the opposite of that." She continued and again, you heard Patrick chuckled lowly.

"Please, just call me Patrick. And I guess, I should be happy if that's what the rumors are in here...it's better to be that way. So please, ma'am, let's keep this kindness of mine a secret for a while." Patrick explained which really confused you and probably your mom too because it took some time for her to reply.

"Oh kids, really, you are hard to understand now." Your mom said calmly which made Patrick laugh. "But, okay, I'll keep this a secret, Patrick. And please, call me Y/mother's/N, you can treat me as your mom here." She said, still teasing you more.

You couldn't believe your mom let Patrick help her in there which means you had to stay in that cabinet for too long. You've been itching to go out, but you guess you can't. You were just left there, thinking what's Patrick up to and why is he like this secretly. What you just overheard was the Patrick you've always looked up to, but he seems to be in the shadows...just hiding...

'really, what's up with this guy?' you asked yourself.
