Imagine #71: Poisoned Youth (Part 5)
Imagine #71: Poisoned Youth (Part 5)
"I can't believe this has come to this." You murmured at yourself while you stand in front of an old looking shop. It was a small one and really, the small facility could break down any moment. You think that your breath can even bring it down.
A dusty signage was on above the door which read 'Witchcraft Stuffs'. You really want to laugh at yourself so hard right now, but you're really determined to do everything just to get all this over with. Also, it's been a month since Patrick fell into a coma and again, the sooner he stayed like that...the worse it could get.
"Hello?" you asked the moment you walked inside the old shop. You found out about this shop deep in the web and it just looks like a gag shop. You know, the one that sells items that are "magical" and other stuffs. Again, half of you still don't believe all this kind of things, but the other half says otherwise.
You walked inside the shop, everything was dusty and old and you even think that maybe this isn't a good idea. You're already making yourself believe that this isn't worth it and no one can help you right here.
"Deary, I've been expecting you." Suddenly, an old looking lady almost made you jump when she spoke out of nowhere. You pushed yourself to smile at him because she was already observing you in a most fascinated way. "Come on, after all you've seen and done, you still don't believe that there are really things that science could not explain?" she said.
The lady just went past me then sat on a chair in front of desk. You remained silent there, she knew you would come, but how? And also she knew what you were thinking too.
"C-can you help me...m-my friend was –
"Aaah, yes, yes...he fell into a love potion which then turned into a sleeping one. Whoever made that potion is indeed full of hatred in her heart." She explained.
"H-how did you know?" you asked in confusion.
"Deary, trust me, I can see a lot of things...I'm also a fortune teller that's why I knew you were coming and knew the reason behind it." She said while smiling at me. "You're filled with determination and I must say I liked it that way. You just need a little more push to believe and you're good to go." She added.
"Um...don't get me wrong, ma'am, but this...all this, I'm just doing this to save my friend and after I saved him I'm just going to forget this all. I don't...I don't want to continue what I learned." You explained to her.
"You already learned so much and from that I know you know the consequences of doing this. But really, you have a pure heart, deary. That can come in handy for some time." She said and you just stared at her. "Oh, right! You need help."
She suddenly searched the drawers from her desks and after a few moments, she brought out a little bottle with transparent liquid on it. Out of all the things in this place, that one looks brand new. She set it down on the table as she touched the lid then suddenly, the liquid glowed for a while.
"What did you...
"I did something that science can't explain, deary." She said with a smile. She took the bottle again then gave it to me. "Make him drink that and it will be all over..." she explained and you stared at the bottle.
"H-how sure I am that you're just not going to poison my friend –
"Oh come on, Deary. You know I can't lie...you put something on your clothes...a potion that prevents people around you to lie. You said you don't want to believe, but look at you...you're already a professional with this works." She said with a proud smile and you just stayed there, silently looking at her.
"What's the catch to this potion?" you asked her. She was right, you know a lot of things now.
"Of course, you know already...that every magic comes with a price and really I'm impressed with you, Deary." She murmured. "Make him drink that and sooner than you think he'll wake up again...safe and sound...but the effects of the love potion will be off and he will FORGET the girl who he fell in love with because of the love potion. He will FORGET you entirely, Deary. Nothing...you will be a stranger to him when he wakes up from that so-called 'permanent slumber'." She explained.
Your heart immediately felt heavy, but you already told yourself that you will do EVERYTHING just to save Patrick even if it means that he will forget you. You sighed heavily and just smiled at the lady.
"I already promised him that I'll fix him no matter what. I don't care about that anymore, at least he'll be safe." You explained and the lady was suddenly giving you a dream catcher bracelet.
"Sure a pure hearted one. Now go and save your friend and maybe, soon enough we'll meet again." She said while putting the bracelet around your wrist.
"T-Thank you...how will I pay you with this?" you asked her.
"Don't mind that about that now, Deary. Just do what you must do." She said and again she walked towards the door and left you in the shop all alone again.
You just went outside of the shop and walked towards the hospital with that potion on your hands. He will forget you...ALL of your identity, you will be nothing to him after he wakes up, but you really think that's a good deal. At least he'll wake up and forget everything that happened while he was under that love potion, besides, all of that was fake anyways.
You just smiled sadly at yourself, maybe this is how it should really end. After this, you can start over again and too and maybe make a potion that will erase every feelings for him too...
"Wow, I can't believe I'm already thinking of making potions again." You whispered to yourself. Maybe that old lady was right...you acquired something through this process and maybe...just maybe you can use it for the future too.
{Sorry if this imagine is getting weird...IDK what's happening to me, but i/ hope you're still enjoying!! THANKS FOR READING TOO!}
