Imagine #62: Don't Panic, No, Not Yet

Yep, that's Patrick...Patrick Stump...the vocalist of the band you are obsessed with...is just standing few meters away from you...in a freaking public subway...all alone.

Your eyes just caught him moments ago and for all you know you almost hyperventilated in there immediately. It's really him, wearing just casual clothes with his eyeglasses on, wearing a backpack and of course his fedora hat. He was just there, standing and holding onto one of the safety handrails in there while his other hand was using his phone. You've never seen him so casual and you're amazed that no one knows him or even going up to him to greet him or something.

You freaking know your heart is pumping so fast right now that maybe the person beside can even hear your heartbeat now. You don't know what to do, your eyes kept on glancing to him, but you really tried not too, you don't want to scare him off or whatever. You respect the guy, you wouldn't just go to him and making a scene in there. He's a part of the crowd in there now and it would be awkward and disrespectful if you just be weird like that.

"Come on, it's him...that guy from, what's that band called? Fall Out Boy!" you suddenly heard a girl near you. There were three of them and most likely they just spotted Patrick too.

"Well, I don't even know them so well, but he's really cute...come on, let's go to him and ask for a picture." another one said, really their voices are going loud now, you even saw Patrick stopped moving for a while. You know that he would have gone to them, but at least not here, this is a public place and again, it will be awkward and all of that.

"Let's go, look there's no one around him now." another girl said and they began to walk towards Patrick.

You know you had to do something, these girls doesn't understand. You suddenly approached them, and stopped them from walking.

"Um, hey, I know you guys want to take a picture with Patrick but maybe not here. This is a public place and causing a scene like that would be...rude. I mean he's just blending in with the crowd to keep the attention away for a while if you do that, people will go to him non-stop and that will be bad since he's all alone too." you told them nicely and the two girls smiled and nodded at you, but one of them just looked at you badly.

"Well, who are you to protect him anyways? Just say you want him for yourself." she said that really shocked you. You don't mean to sound like that, this girl is just rude.

"No, no, of course, not. I was just saying --

"Whatever, if you stopped my friends, you won't stop me." she said then continued to walk and she even pushed you a little hard.

At that moment, the train suddenly stopped too and the sudden motion made you lost your balance since you had just been pushed too. You couldn't gain you balance back and you know you're going to fall down in an earlier round...but before you hit the floor, you felt someone caught you.

"Whoa, that was close." you heard a voice so familiar to you. He was holding your arm and waist for you to regain your balance.

You looked back at the guy who caught you and you were right, it was him -- Patrick Stump.

"T-thank you." you said as you feel your face blushing. Patrick gave you a mesmerizing and innocent smile that really immediately melt your heart.

"No, thank you, you held back those girls pretty good." he whispered. Patrick guided you to just stand beside him and just hold onto the same safety handrail he was holding. "I heard you talk to them and I appreciate you doing that, really." he added.

"Oh, I just put myself in your shoes. I mean, if I were you I wouldn't want to make a scene in here." you explained. "It's really an honor to meet you in person, Patrick. I'm a huge fan and I'm making a lot of effort right now to stay calm." you said then giggled. Patrick was stuck staring at you and he blushed when you giggled.

"God, you're so cute." he said with a chuckle that you think made your heart drop.

"So, can I just ask? What are you doing in a subway, all alone?" you nicely asked.

"Going to work?" he answered. "Well, our band will be staying in this country for quite a while and we don't have a car here yet. The hotel I was staying at was also too far from the recording studio so what better way to get there fast than to ride the subway." he added.

"You're really one of the best people I've known. I mean, you're famous and all but you chose to ride the subway." yo said, your voice wasn't too loud too, you don't want to catch the attention of people around you.

"So, the next station is my stop, what about you?" he asked with a smile.

"Same station, I'm just enjoying my free time, just roaming around the city with nothing to do." you shared and he just smiled.

"Lucky you you have a free time even this early in the morning." he said. 

After a few moments, you finally came in your stop and both you and Patrick walked out of the train. He really accompanied you from then on and when you're in the area with not much people around, the three girls finally came near to Patrick and asked for a picture.

"Yeah, sure, why not." he said humbly and you just smiled at him, this guy is really kind. 

"We're really sorry for almost making a scene back there, lucky she heard us and stopped our plan." one of the kind girls said.

"It's okay, just don't do it agin and don't be rude to other people, mmkay?" Patrick told them and they all nodded. "Okay, take care, youngbloods." he added and walked towards you again.

Patrick smiled so brightly that you think can blind you for the rest of your life. It was such a beautiful sight and you just want to capture it.

"Well, can I get a picture too?" you shyly asked and Patrick chuckled.

"Not until you tell me your name, princess." he said and you immediately blushed in there.

"I-I'm Y/N." you shyly said and he smiled at you.

"Well, Y/N, I'll give you your requested selfie with me later. You told me you're just roaming around, right? Why don't you come with me to the studio? I'm sure the other three will be glad to meet someone like you." Patrick said and you just looked at him, dumbfounded. "And maybe after that we can have lunch and dinner outside, mind showing us around too?" he continued.

"I...I mean, I would love that, Patrick. But, is it really okay for you, I mean, you just met me." you asked shyly and he just put his arms around your shoulder and began to walk.

"I should be the creepy one in here, Y/N." Patrick said then laughed. "hey I just met you, and this is crazy, but I'm here with you, please go out with me." he playfully sang that song that made you laughed out loud, he was too damn cute and you can't believe that the start of your love story started in the panic at the subway.
