Imagine #29: Catch Me If You Can

You've been sitting on that seat for a while now while you're waiting for your delayed flight and as a natural observer...you know that something is wrong with that kid and two men meters from you.  

You had a bad feeling about those men and the kid looks so scared, but is keeping his posture. You knew all these because you've been a high ranking FBI agent and their movements is really not normal to you. You're just plainly observing them, not letting them out of your sight when all of a sudden they all stood up and started to move near you. You finally managed to look at the kid closely and that's when your heart skipped a beat...it's the son of the vocalist of your favorite band...Declan Stump.

The poor kid is shaking and it's obvious he's stopping himself to cry. You also noticed that the guy is gripping his hand a little too tight. Before they could even pass you, you knew you had to move to save the kid.

"Declan?" You acted that you were shock to see him. The two men looked at you seriously, but they didn't do anything. "It's me Aunt Angel." You said, hoping that you will gain his trust. You're just eagerly looking at him, communicating non-verbally.

Suddenly the kid moved and hugged you and you sighed in relief, he's a smart kid. You knelt and hugged him.

"I'm a cop, Declan, and I know you're in trouble. You just have to trust me, okay? These people have guns and there's a lot of people in here, the risk is too high to take. Just play with me, I won't let them take you." You whispered to him quickly and gave you a small nod.

You continued with your role playing, smiling and asking Declan how he has been.

"You must be friends with his dad. But can I just take Declan for a lunch, it's been a while since I've seen my nephew. You can also come too." You acted so kind and you think that these people are amateurs because they agreed with you.

You took Declan's hand and you both started to walk, you're just leading these guys somewhere deserted. Finally, even if you're in a busy airport, you found a place where there aren't any people around. Fortunately, there was a rest room there which is also desserted.

"I'll just take Declan in the rest room for a while. Looks like he need to pee-pee." You said, sounding embarrassed to the men. Since they weren't suspecting you for anything, they agreed.

You lead Declan inside the girls room and the kid hugged you in there.

"You're a smart kid, Declan." You said proudly to him. "But I need you to continue to be strong. You stay here, lock yourself in one of the cubicle and never go out unless I tell you, okay? I'm going to take those people out." You said sounding bad ass and also entertaining the kid. "Here's my phone, call your dad, I already alerted the other cops so you don't have to call them. Okay, kid?" You said.

"Thank you...please be careful." He said sweetly.

You locked the door behind and went outside, both men became full alert when you came out without Declan, but before they could even act, you attack them.

You came for one guy first and let your physical training possess you. You punched, kicked and dodge his attack and also the attack of the other guy. Fortunately, you managed to take him down with a full force punch, him falling down unconcious.

"Where's the kid?!" The other asked and it seems he's scared now.

You laughed coldly and began to attack him too, but that's when everything changed, he managed to get his gun and run away from you...going back to where the people are.

"Shit." You sprint to follow him, giving it your full force.

Suddenly, a guy wearing a hat and glasses appeared on an intersection intersection and pushed the other guy to the ground.

"Where the fuck is my son?!" The guy asked.

You continued to sprint, this guy who attacked him probably doesn't know that he has a gun. The bad guy pushed him away and managed to stand up, the guy with the hat suddenly lost his balance and the guy was already pointing his gun at him...fortunately, before he pulled the trigger, you managed to put push him away, diving to the guy and pushing him down, but because of this, you have taken the bullet at gun point. You immediately coughed blood, but is staying strong to pin the guy down and handcuff him.

The alarms finally went off and the other security went in your way. You rolled away from the guy while catching your breath.

"Fuck..why would you do that?!" It was Patrick Stump, he was shocked while looking at you. You chuckled ad you rip your clothes there.

"It's my duty to prevent this...I'm fine." You said, revealing you were wearing a bullet proof vest, but since he got shot that close, the bullet still penetrated it, but not that deep.

"No you're not!" He said in panic as he saw blood in there.

"Don't worry about me, the ambulance is coming..."you said. "And oh, DECLAN! YOUR DAD'S HERE NOW!" you shouted and moments later the kid came out from the rest room and run to his dad.

You smiled as both of them reunited.

"You have a brave and smart kid, Mr. Stump." You weakly said as you pat Declan's head.

"...you're going to be okay, right?" He asked innocently.

"O-of course, kid." You said with a hopeful tone.

Finally, you saw the medic coming for you and you made sure that Declan was okay, you finally sighed in relief and after that...you let your consciousness drift away.
