Imagine #170: The Overcast Chronicles (Part 7)

*Patrick's P.O.V.*

I think I'm filled up with novacaine because now I just feel numb, but I really think that's better now. At least I can focus on other things than being hurt knowing that Y/N has passed away. It's only been weeks, but I managed to numb myself with these feels and again, I should be thankful for that.

Of course, all of us mourned but we chose to leave it already. We're facing a lot of problems now and we can't lower our guards down most especially now that Tyler and Josh have warned us about those people. They'll probably get to us eventually.

And my power...this power or curse is indeed very powerful and scary to possess. I could just make any wish come true just like that, but it'll cost me something. Thw greater the wish is  the greater consequence I will have. Every wish comes with a price so now, I'm doing everything not to trigger it. I don't want anymore fucked up shit now.

"Hey, let's go get some coffee outside. Looks like you need some fresh air too." Pete suddenly tapped me and I gave him a quick smile.

I accompanied my best friend while we walk towards the nearest coffee shop from his home. It was already night and I chose to stay quiet during our walk, besides, I know he can read my thoughts anyway. It's like we're having conversations even not talking.

"You could at least try, Trick." Pete said and that made me chuckle.

"Sorry, buddy. I'm having a rough night, but I swear I've been better." I honestly said.

"I know. I know it's still hard, Patrick, but I'm proud of you, honestly. You'rw taking this like a champ. We're in this together, we'll get to thw bottom of this." He said and that honestly cheered me up.

We finally arrived at the coffee shop and thankfully, not many people are around. Pete hurried to the cashier and ordered us some drinks as I just looked around.

Suddenly, I noticed a little girl on the nearest table while eating some cake. I noticed her because she was staring at me, like as if she recognizes me. I decided to smile at her in a not creepy way. In shock, I saw her smile back. She was with this nanny and she stood up and whispered something to her before running towards me.

"Who's the kid?" Pete suddenly walked next to me as I have my eyes fixed on this kid. I can feel that she'll bring some good news to us, but that's just me.

"You tell me." I murmured, knowing he can always use his powers.

"Hi! You're Patrick and Pete, right? Those guys that are in a band?!" She excitedly said and I was shocked she knew us.

I sniled and knelt in front of her. "Yes, I'm amazed you know us." I said.

"Yes! Your music are coooool! I knew your band from Big Hero 6. Immortals is so good!" She sweetly said that made me and Pete chuckle, but I can already feel that Pete was reading something on this girl's mind.

"You want us to sign something?" I asked her and she shook her head no.

"No, I just want to tell you something. I always see you with this girl...Hmmm, I think her name is Y/N." She acted so sweet and I instantly became a rock in there the moment I heard Y/N's name. "Yes, she's Y/N. I know she's your friend! I met her yesterday! She healed me! You see I have an illness and most doctors say I can't be healed, but she did!" She said and she looked so innocent and sweet. "My dad paid a lot of money though to those people that is with her now, but at least I'm all better! But I'm worried about her, she looks so sad and weak in there. Maybe you need to visit her!" She continued.

I can't believe it, she's alive...and now I can't move or speak anymore. I'm too overwhelmed with all these.

"Don't worry, kid. We will. Surely she misses us too like we miss her." Pete said.

"Yey! Thanks, say hi to her for me! Bbyeeee!" The kid said and went back to her nanny.

"I knew it, I fucking knew it." I heard Pete murmured. "Get up, Stump. We have someone to fetch." He continued.

"Yeah, I read the girl's mind. We're in the right place." Pete said while we're inside the car and looking at this facility in the middle of nowhere.

There are cars around and these cars are not the usual ones, these are for fucking rich ass people.

"This is where they kept us." Tyler and Josh said at the same time.

"They want money. Lot of money and they are using powers to loot it out of people." Tyler said.

"And they are using Y/N...so she can perform these miracles and these people will get rich. She could be dying in there, her energy is being sucked everytime she heals someone." Andy said.

"To tell you the truth, it's not only that. Y/N told me to keep this a secret. Everytime she heals, she feels 3 times the pain the person feels due to their injury or illness...She absorbs the pain too." Pete confessed and this broke me.

This girl will really use her power to help others and she won't even care if it hurts her. She's really a selfless person so it's unacceptable for some people to take advantage of her just like this.

"What's the plan? Of course, they'll know it's us." Joe said and we all looked at each other.

"Patrick has invisibility powers now. Use it till you find Y/N inside that building, then notify me if you did. When you alerted me. Josh will kidnap someone from the guards, no  one will notice since he's fast and he'll bring a guard here. Tyler will mind-control this guard and order a safe way for Patrick and Y/N to go out. IF and only IF shit has gone down, it's time for Andy, Joe and I to move inside. Got it?" Pete explained and we all nodded.

"Remember that two people inside has powers too, this is a legit reason not to lose control with these powers. Use it to save someone." Tyler said.

"Thank you for doing this, guys. It really means a lot." I said.

"Of course, Y/N is part of our family. Now go." Joe said and I nodded and with that I became invisible.

I climbed down off the car and hurried to the facility and got inside with no problem. I was still careful with my movement as I walked through the walls. These facility looked like a laboratory too. There are many rooms and I tried to look at each of them, trying to find Y/N but before I even got to her. I saw a dark room. I was only outside of this room and I just managed to see the inside by looking through an observation glass. There are two doctors that were observing her too. It was Anna.

"She has no hope. She's too scared of her powers and she couldn't control it, not even a bit." One doctor said.

"Such a waste of gift. She seemed to lost her sanity too." The ither said and that made my heart sink.

The girl inside had really succumed to the darkness and her sanity has left her too. I just hoped that they'll end her misery.

I took a deep breath and continued to walk, finally reaching the top floor. I saw a room at the end of the hallway and I feel like this is the room I was searching. It only has two guards in front of the door. I took out the chloroform soaked cloth and hurried to the both of them and made them smell it and in no time they fell unconcious to the ground.

I opened the door immediately and walked inside...finding Y/N already looking curiously at the door.

God, she looked so weak...I almost wished she could just be the same again, but I held back before it could make things worse. But, of course, this girl is strong-willed. She's still trying to look so strong.

She stood up and continued to look in my way, she's already looking worried. Why is she worried? If she knows it's me, she should be happy.

"You really had me so worried." I murmured as I hug her and show myself to her.

I feel the shock in her because she stood there, frozen. She didn't even hug me back.

"P-Patrick. w-why...how did you find me?" She whispered then I felt her body shaking. I pulled back and steadied her in there..."Y-you shouldn't be here, l-leave now. Please!" she said in distress.

"Hey, hey. C-calm down, the others will help us out. Y/N, it's okay...it's going to be okay." I said as I let her sit on the edge of the bed.

I held her cheeks as I push her to stare at me. I smiled at her and finally she calmed down.

"Y-you don't understand, they want you here...badly. And you going here is not a good idea! They can't have the both of us..." She said.

"Don't worry, they won't. I came here to save you, Y/N. I even thought you died! And now that I found you again, I'll never let you go." I said, I can't believe I'm confessing right now. "I love you, okay?! That's why I'll never let you go." I said and she stared at me.

"You're really bad at timing this, Stump. But heck, I love you too." She murmured so softly that even in this situation, I found myself loving this instance.

Our kissed met for some second before we broke it, we need to get out of here fast.

"Pete, we're ready!" I said through the phone and in no time, alarms were triggered which was not supposed to happen.

"Shit. Hold my hand, Y/N ---

"D-don't move or else I'll make our man blow the brains out of your friends!" Someone suddenly said that made me and Y/N stop moving.

"Don't you fucking hurt them." Y/N spoke, I can hear the hatred in her voice.

"Pleasure to finally meet you, Mr. Stump. We've been dying to meet you." Another one said.

"How rude of us...I'm Nate and this is my brother Cliff. I supposed we're the reamining two among the chosen 10." Nate explained, he smirked at me with pride but I was more annoyed with the other one...he's just looking at me and Y/N like we're some kind of a thing.

Loud noises, explosions and gun shots were held from below and I'm so concerned about my friends...but I know they can manage to get through this like how we'll get out of this mess too.

"Since you want to be together, why don't we make it official then. Besides you two are the perfect partners anyway, perfect partner to make us rich." Cliff said with a smirk.

I was about to hold Y/N and teleport out of here, but before I could reach her I saw a glimpse of Nate's eyes and suddenly I felt like someone had possessed my own body and then after that, I couldn't control my own body.

I noticed I grabbed Y/N, but I pushed her towarda Nate and Cliff rather than teleporting out of her. After doing that, my possessed feeling eased and I stood straight again.

"You asshole..."I murmured as I charged towards them to get Y/N back, but before I could reach them, Cliff grabbed Y/N's arm and in no time she screamed so loud...I can see the pain she was feeling and her screams was so horrible...It was so full of pain and I never want to here it from her again...I never want to see her in pain.

"Stop! What are you doing to her?! STOP!!!!" I shouted and he finally let go of her.

Y/N collapsed to the floor while panting.

"You fucking jerks, I'll get back to you one day." she said under her breath Then she looked at me. "Don't let him touch you no matter what. Just go, Patrick. Leave me! Don't give them what they want!" she screamed at me. She looked so tired and I know she has given up and sacrificed herself.

"Oh, would you really go? Knowing that I could torture and torture and torture and torture ---

"Shut up....shut up!!!" I shouted at him.

"Please, Patrick. Just think I'm dead already. Please. I don't want to be the distressed princess that needs saving here...please!" Y/N shouted...but I guess this is the first time I can't follow her order.

"I-I'll do whatever the fuck you want just promise me two things." I said and looked at Cliff, he seemed so satisfied with what I just sais.

"No!!! Patrick!" Y/N screamed at me. I really don't want to disobey her, but I can't just leave her here.

"We're listening." Nate said.

"You only need both of us, right? So first, let all of our friends go. Don't bother them again and let me tell them to never look for us again." I said and they smirked.

"That seems fair. The second?" Cliff stated.

"Me and Y/N shall always be together from now on. I don't want you separating us during this whole course of fucked up shit you plan." I said and they both laughed.

"Fine...fine. You can have what you asked for, Patrick." Nate said and he was just looking at me mockingly. "But let me just tell you, You having that power of wish granting will not help you out of this mess, remember it comes with a great price. You wishing to stop big events will cause a big commotion in all these and you might end up ruining more rather than saving more but that's just a little tip, it's still your risk, Stump." He explained that stiffened me in there.

"We'll try and control things downstairs. You both make yourself comfortable. I'll get you later to talk to your pesky friends." Cliff said and they both walked out.

I run towards Y/N that was still weakly sitting on the floor.

"I hate you for not listening to me." She said but I know she doesn't mean it. She just really don't want me to be taken too.

"Sorry, princess. I can't just let them have you alone in here." I said and hugged her. "As long as we're together." I murmured and with that she hugged me back.
