Chapter 6
"I'm not even shitting you, Camilla. The lad cried when he woke up the next day" I covered my mouth to try to muffle my laughter on the bus. People on public transport tend to not like overally loud teenagers.
I don't blame them to be fair. If it were the other way around, I'd be cursing out the person right now, threatening them to shut the fuck up before I lay them out.
So I may have a few anger issues here and there?
"A daisy on his ass! that's fucking class... That rhymed, ha." Camilla's loud chuckles had now calmed to a soft breathy laugh. "Atleast now the shit that comes out his as can be just as delightful as the shit that comes out his mouth" she said carelessly.
I laughed quietly while carefully standing up. pressing the stop button, I continued to listen to Camilla as she changed the subject to something about some guy in her English class who kept asking her to come and chill with his cats. She said she didn't know whether it was some hip new lingo, or he was actually asking her to chill with his cats.
Nodding my head to every word, I stopped as I realised that I probably looked pretty stupid nodding to a phone.
Don't you hate when that happens? You're so into the conversation that you start to actually use body language like they could actually see you?.
"I'm about to get off the bus, so I'll see you later ya twat bag" hearing the faint sound of cars in the background, I made sure to cling onto the poles of the bus so I didn't fall onto some random man like the last time I was on a bus.
It totally wasnt my fault, and the ass grabbing was very unnecessary.
"Not if I see you first" I could almost see the wide smile on her face making me wonder why it would be there in the first place.
Squinting my eyes suspiciously, I started to file my way off of the bus as everyone barged and pushed their way through.
"What do you mean-" stepping off the bus, I froze in my steps with a shell shocked expression on my face.
Seeing Camilla standing in front of the bus stop bench with her hands held securely in her jeans pockets.
Upon seeing me, her hands shot out in front of her for me to run into.
"Oi oi bus wanka'." she said mockingly with a wink. Snapping out of my shocked state, I ran into her arms and squealed- yes squealed- like a new born pig.
"What are you doing here?!" I muffled into her maroon knitted jumper. I inhaled the scent I had grown up around and missed for so long, the scent of vanilla and stupidity, ah smells like summer.
"Oh thanks? What happened to the usual 'welcome back friend' or 'glad to see you amigo'." Rolling my eyes, I finally let her out of my grip and stood at arms length.
"I was getting to that part?" I lied. With a smile still on her rosy lips, I couldn't help but all of a sudden feel so relieved. My partner in crime was finally back in arms reach, you don't know how long I've been waiting for this.
"Sure, and I'm Kate fucking Moss" she said sarcastically. "Anyway, to answer your question-" looping my arms with hers, she began to stroll with me down my street. "-Mum was kinda getting sick of me and Franco pestering her about moving back, so she hired someone to run her boutique in Australia. She said something about boosting sales over here or some shit" she said while rolling her hands about to add effect.
Running a hand through my hair, I began to laugh as I noticed we had done the same action at the same time.
"God I missed you so much, there's so much I need to tell you man." Resting my head on her shoulder as we walked on by, she softly laughed and tightened the bag on her back.
"You could start with the hot piece of ass in your psychology" Raising my head from off of her shoulder, I looked at her with a smirk. "you know what they say about guys from down under" beginning to wiggle her bushy eyebrows, my hand automatically pushed her face away from me.
Her hysteric laughing was shortly drowned out by the howls of someone I prayed would just get hit by a bus some time soon.
Groaning to myself, Camilla finally clocked on and looked at the terror ahead. I couldn't hold back the laugh that escaped my mouth as her face turned into an expression of disgust.
She to wasn't so fond of Oscar, she hates the fact that he was-is such a dick to me.
Stopping in our tracks, Jack was the first to see us and smile. His hair tied back with a bandana, and he had changed his black shirt to a red flannel. Where as Oscar was in the same clothes from school.
"Camilla? Wait is that you?!" Jack seemed to turn into a little girl and just as I did, squealed.
Pulling her in for a hug, she muffled a laugh into his shirt. His hand gripping into her hair and the other onto her side, my eyes travelled towards an aggravated looking Oscar. Flicking his attention from the trees to me, I nearly jumped in fear at the glare he was giving me.
If looks could kill, I would probably be incinerated by now.
"When did you get back?" Snapping my attention back to my friends, I still couldn't get the look of pure hate that Oscar had flashed me out of my head.
Shouldn't it be i who was mad at him?
"This morning" furrowing my eyebrows, my hand shot out and slapped her on her arm.
Jumping up, she narrowed her eyes at me with a pout as she rubbed over the spot I had just smacked her on.
"Why didn't you tell me that you came back this morning?!" Jack stood back and watched us both with a small smirk on his lips.
"Um oww?" If she thought that hurt, she should try my right upper hook, Now that is ow worthy.
She was about to answer before she got rudely nudged out if the way by Oscar. With one hand in his pocket and the other wrapped around his phone, he didn't seem to give a shit that he had nearly knocked over Camilla.
I had just got my best friend back and he was already trying to murder her... Okay maybe I'm being dramatic, but it could have happened.
"Are you fucking kidding me?" She snapped. He span around with a smirk on his face- the cheek of him.
Still walking backwards, he held out his arms and faced us with a shrug.
"Depends? Did you find it funny?" He muttered carelessly. He stopped as he noticed Jack was still stood over us.
"You know whats hilarious?-" I interrupted. He had cocked an eyebrow with interest, eyeing me up and down with narrowed eyes. "The thought of you considering people's feelings, now that would be laughing worthy."
Camilla had gently grabbed onto my arm giving a subtle squeeze, she was obviously signalling me to stop before I said something that would later on make me feel like crying a storm.
"And what's that supposed to mean, snowflake?" He said with his poisoning smile.
"Don't you dare call me that!" Breaking away from Camilla's grip, I had stormed forward to- I don't even know what I was going to do to be honest, but Jack had grabbed me around the waist just in time.
Oscar stared on with a pitiful look before turning back around and stalking off.
How dare he!
How fucking dare he!!
With anger still bubbling inside of me, my breathing was beginning to grow more rapid. This always happens when I get to that point, I start panting, thrashing, breaking anything in sight and ignoring everyone around me. It's even worse with my anxiety, my panic attacks don't just feel like panic attacks, they make me feel like I'm trapped in some kind of box, alone, and there's no way out.
They're horrible.
"You need to calm down Jourdan" I could feel jacks lips pressed against my ear as he whispered down to me.
Noticing my surroundings, I looked down at Jacks arms and saw how they were still snaked around my waist, slightly making me raise from off of the ground.
"He's not worth it Jourdan" tilting my head, I saw how Camilla had joined my side with a small smile on the corner of her lips.
Shutting my eyes for a few seconds, I opened then after a large breath. I do need to get my priorities in check, but before that..
"Who's up for getting wasted tonight" I muttered with a sigh. As we all raised our hands in sync, we couldn't help but break out in soft chuckles.
"Wasted it is"
