Because I won't believe;
To love is to be vulnerable

There will be days when we will fight
Scream and shout until we're hoarse;
Doesn't matter if we kick or punch
It still hurts of course.

There may be days when you are gone
And I am left all alone;
You may forget my birthday text
Or to call me on the phone.

It could be something taken wrong
That one just misunderstood;
There may be that which we can't agree,
I'm not saying that we should.

We are individuals with our own beliefs,
We have our own way of life;
We can meet in the middle most of the time
But that doesn't mean we'll avoid strife.

There will be days of doubt, fear and dread
Though they may be few;
We are only human in this crazy world
And you offered a lifetime with you.

So don't tell me that you'll never hurt me
That's not what I want to hear;
Instead promise me we'll apologise,
talk, work things out...
And you'll always hold me near.
