Okay so in biology we have like an hour long period because we have three different lunch periods because our school is just that cool I guess. Anyway, to help kill some time my teacher puts on this like news show thing or whatever and in the thumbnail of the video it showed Stephen Hawking and my teacher pointed it out and then this happened:
A girl in my class: "Who's Stephan Hawking?" //insert brief pause here "Wait! Isn't that the guy who wrote Harry Potter?"

You. Fucking. Idiot.

First of all, that was J.K ROWLING and SHE is a GIRL. I literally had to explain this to her and oh God, it was so bad.

But then Geometry came along literally after lunch and Biology.

We had a word problem that used the NAME India, not the COUNTRY. And this same girl was so confused because it was asking how far people were from India and I literally had to explain to her that that's the girl's name.
Her response; Who names their kid India? And that looks like a guy.
Then my Geometry teacher explained to everyone that around different parts of the world, names that end with "a" are usually feminine and that everyone should just let it go and just do the problem.
