Dan POVl
I held Phil's hand as we walked home. He didn't say anything, and I'm glad he didn't.
I just sat confused about that man who spoke to me earlier.

"Phil we are almost home." I spoke.
He murmmered silently.

I never understood what made him act so differently this time of year. He spaces out more and when he does, he ends up having a panic attack. There is nothing I can do about it though. No matter how hard I try, Phil is just not ready to share yet. I have to respect that.
"Phil we are home." I said as I unlocked the door. He nodded. We went inside but Phil bolted up to his room. A tear left my eye.

I hate to see him suffer.

Phil came back down a couple minutes later with a hoodie and pajama pants on.
It is chilly outside.
"Phil, you ok?" I asked.
"Dan,... I.... nevermind. I'm just nervous. You wouldn't understand."

My heart aches hearing him say that.
"Phil, o-"
"DAN YOU'D CALL ME A LIAR! " Phil began sobbing like crazy and he buried himself into my shoulder. I held him tightly. I didn't know what to say.
"Phil you are not a liar. You'll never be a liar in my eyes."

Phil just nodded and continued to cry.
I started to humm our song. We found that song on our first date. It was actually around this time of year as well.
"Phil, you look amazing."
He nodded before looking at me and smiling.
"So do you."
The music played in the background. I grabbed Phil's hand and I began to dance with him.
"Dan I can't dance."
"That's ok, because I can't either."

"Dan you remember our song?"
"Like I would forget it. " I spoke.
Then I heard Phil's sweet voice song along.
"No matter where I go, you'll never be alone. I'm gonna be yours forever."

I heard Phil's soft snores.
"I'll remember every happy memory I have with you.
