Seto opened the door and looked out at the four people in front of him. One being the very obnoxious blond duellist standing in front of him with his back to Seto. He was arguing with the other three.

"You guys don't seem to understand how heartbroken Yugi was at the mall!" Joey yelled at the other three.

Tristan scoffed. "I bet Yugi is paying that girl to be with him. I bet Duke can pay her double the amount he's paying her." Tristan smirked.

"Oh, believe me, if I see her again I will be." Duke said with a bit of a smirk. Joey glared at them.

"Well so long as you get her away from my Yami I'll be happy." The female brunette standing with them said with a flick of her hair.

"You guys are so insensitive to Yugi!" Joey said clenching his fists together. Seto watched as they plainly ignored him and continued to listen to their argument.

"Why do you care?" Tristan said with a smirk. "Just because you decided to tell the wrong people your secret crush."

"Exactly. How do you except your secret to be safe?" Duke smirked and moved closer to Joey. Joey glared at him before punching him in the nose and trying not to cry. Seto could tell something was wrong so he let his presence be known then.

"And what do you four want?" Seto said behind them. Joey jumped and looked behind him as Seto stood giving the four of them a glare.

"We want to see Yugi~" the female said with a fake smile.

Seto chuckled and glares at the female. "I think you just want to see Yami to make sure that what you heard isn't true Tea." Seto said, glaring at the girl.

Tea glared back at Seto. "That's not true." Tea said glaring at Seto.

"Oh please. I heard you three. It seems that maybe Joey is like a dog. Loyal to a fault. You three however just want fame that comes with being friends with Yugi." Seto said glaring at the other three.

Tristan got pissed and grabbed Joey by the shirt and growls at him. "I bet you finally got your wish and got screwed by him didn't you mutt." Tristan said glaring.

Seto grabbed Tristan and pulled him back. "Joey go inside. The rest of you. I want you off my property and out of might sight before I call security." Seto said growling out the order.

Joey stepped into the corridor frozen, he seemed to be in shock.

"Mutt, are you alright?" Seto asked, finally showing the concern he had always felt for the blonde haired duellist.

Joey did not answer him, so Seto ushered the willing body into the living room, where the others were waiting.

"Seto what happened?" Yami asked already balling his fists.

"I'm not too sure, they said some horrible things like how much is Yugi paying her to be with him and Tea telling me to get Leah away from her Yami." Seto said with disgust on his face.

Angel turned her eyes to the still not moving Joey, and noticed how cute he looked.

"He's cute, but what is he doing here?" Angel said, Seto smirked at her instead of getting angry.

"He stood up for Yugi, apparently he has a crush on someone who that group have learned. They are black mailing him so they won't tell the person." Seto explained, Angel noticed that Seto looked a little disappointed when he said this and she smirked.

"Oh yes." Yugi said as he took over.

"You know who his crush is?" Leah asked.

"Yes, I do, but he was ashamed because of who it was so he only told those he trusted. Obviously, the others decided to use it against him." Yugi said sadly.

Seto walked up to Joey and slightly hit him in the face, as soon as Joey saw how close Seto was to him he fainted in Seto's arms.

Angel, Leah and Yugi seemed to have figured something out that Seto didn't since they all smirked at him.

Angel looked at Yugi and Leah and put the barrier up for Yami. "Seto why don't we take the Labrador upstairs to one of the spare rooms so he can rest. He must have been through a lot of stress with having to do a sort of double life. Protecting Yugi from them, and making sure he wasn't a target for his secret." Angel said placing a gentle hand on Seto's arm.

Seto looked at Angel and nodded before picking Joey up bridal style and carries him up to the spare room next to his room, Angel following closely behind.

Leah sighed and held Yugi close as Yami appeared behind them and held them close to his chest. "Do you think Angel may have a hidden crush on Joey?" Yami asked.

Leah shrugged. "It's possible that she might. She watched all of the major tournaments that had Seto in them, before starting to take interest in Joey's duels." Leah said as she leaned against Yami.

Angel opened the door for Seto and watched as Seto carried Joey to the bed. "He seems extremely light for someone always eating...." Seto said as he laid Joey down carefully.

"I can do a scan if you want Seto. See if there is anything wrong. My Shadow magic has always been more defensive than offensive." Angel enquired walking over to Seto. Seto looked at Angel and nodded before stepping aside.

Angel stepped up to the bed and place her hands over Joey and let her magic scan Joey. As she scanned the blonde she began to frown. Seto noticing this stepped to her side. "What's wrong Angel?" Seto asked, wanting to comfort her but keeping his hands away from her body.

"The amount of abuse he went through...... Just going through his mind with a fine-tooth comb and all I see is Joey blaming himself for everything. From his parents divorcing and having his sister taken away from him to his father's gambling." Angel said as she continued to scan down his body. "He must have been very skilled in keeping any injuries hidden.... I see some breaks in his arms, ribs......" She continued to scan before tearing up. "No......"

Seto watched his former wife and now girlfriend tear up and finally pulled her hands away from the blonde before watching her walk out deathly quiet and followed her as she walked past the living room.

Leah looked up towards the entrance as she noticed the barrier shifting slightly. Getting up quickly and apologising to her boyfriends, she quickly ran to her close friend and grabbed before she could do anything reckless.

"What's wrong Leah?" Yugi asked concerned with how Seto's girlfriend is reacting.

Leah started pulling Angel away from the door. "Just making sure that Angel doesn't kill someone." Leah said struggling to hold Angel back.

Yugi and Yami watched as Seto came down and pulled Angel to his body. Leah sighed before looking at Seto. "Did she do a scan." Leah stated deathly sure of what the answer was going to be.

Seto nodded before leading her down to where she had made the training dummies from before.

Yami looked at Leah. "What do you mean by scan?" Yami asked watching as Leah's shoulders dropped slightly.

"Angel was placed as a healer when they found out that her Shadow Magic was more defensive than offensive, the only time it was offensive was when someone annoyed her." Leah said rubbing her forehead gently. "When she does a scan, she doesn't just see what wounds they have, she sees what happens in their past whether they were attacked or whether something lead to the injuries, she'll see what damage their body has received, whether it be through a fight, or attempting something Angel saw too many times in her life in slavery before Seto brought her. She can also see what abuse they went through." Leah said as she sat down between her boyfriends.

"You sound like this wasn't the first time she snapped." Yami replied as Yugi got Leah to lie on his lap with her legs on Yami.

"No, it wasn't." Leah spoke as she remembered the fury of her friend that day. "A young child was brought to you bleeding and barely breathing. Angel saw the child and began the scan immediately. As soon as she did, she started to storm out of the palace before I stopped her with one of my creatures. She took one look at my creature and it bowed to her. It took Seto's Blue-Eyes to stand up to her and stop her from attacking the one that hurt the child." Leah said relaxing as Yugi stroked her hair gently as Yami gently stroked her legs gently.

"Angel please, what's happened?" Seto asked, he had calmed the girl down but she was still upset.

"All those injuries he went through, he was abused by his father and he thinks he deserves it because he caused the collapse of his family. The people he thought of as friends blackmail him and he has a crush on two who he things hates him." Angle sighed, Leah saw more to it than that thought.

"Angel please tell me his father didn't.....?" Leah trailed off when Angel nodded.

"What is it?" Yugi asked confused.

"One of the only other times that Angel went out of control when she did was when a young boy had been raped by his master as he was a slave." Leah explained sadly, Angel shuddered when she heard this.

"Are you telling me...?" Yugi trailed off unable to say what his mind was telling him.

".... That his father raped him?" Seto finished, he looked very angry at this information.

"More than nce, he was told that he deserves it because he made his father lose everything he had, this was that sick bastard's punishment to Joey." Angel growled.

"I thought that man cared forhim, I've met the man before and he seemed so nice, so normal." Yugi said with a sigh, it showed how well you thought you know a person only to learn they are someone else altogether.

"He hid it well, that is why he was always so tanned and wearing long clothes. To hide all of the bruises and cuts he had on his body." Angel sighed.

"We will help him, we will press charges against that man and he will live here with us away from all those who can hurt him." Seto said forcefully, he had come to really care about the blonde hair duellist and he wasn't going to let anyone hurt Joey ever again.

Yami, Yugi, Leah and Angel all nodded their heads in agreement. They wouldn't let any harm come to Joey ever again.
