Percy's POV

So I woke up the next morning and went outside to eat breakfast before the trip. I ate and then found Annabeth talking to Mr. D off to the side, which was strange because we don't talk to Mr. D and he was set free from this camp a few weeks ago. Why would he come back? "Hi Mr. D, hey gorgeous." I started. Annabeth punched me on the arm but then hugged me. That's my girl. " So you'll be able to do it?" Annabeth asked. "Yes, Amberly, I will do it."

"Do what?" I asked.

"I am going to open the portal for you both AND give you different appearances on the other side." Mr. D explained. Wow, I knew a god would step up just never thought it'd be him.

"Why do we need different appearances?" I questioned. Annabeth punched me again, even harder. "Because, Seaweed Brain, what if the people on the other side know us? We don't know how far into the future we're going or how well we will be remembered." Annabeth explained. I nodded, not daring to question her reasoning.

Will Solace came up with a bowl of the ingredients mixed together. "Hey guys, so this will send you all back. Just inch and throw." we nodded. Annabeth took the bowl and Will headed off. Clarisse came up wishing us luck. We'd grown to become somewhat friends in the past few years. Lastly Rachel came up to us. "Hi. So, I'm assuming Will explained how to use it?" she asked. We nodded. "Okay good. Now this will only take you forward in time. We will open the portal again in 2 days. That's your time window. You just have to look for the portal on the other side. 2 days. That's it. Now remember this girl has mixed features and blood. Good luck." she said, hugging me and Annabeth. "Wait, how are you going to bring us back if that only takes us forward?" Annabeth asks. "Well, we are working on a reversal potion it's almost complete but it will only work on this side." Annabeth nodded.

We stepped up some stairs that lead nowhere. I pinched the potion and threw it in the air. Mr. D added his godly powers and a sparkling, swirling, multi-colored portal appeared in front of us. The wind picked up. We looked back and waved goodbye to our fellow campers.

After we finished our goodbyes we stepped through the portal. Headed to the future.
