Part 51 Shaking Truth

Khushi was stunned to see Arnav's parents in her place. She looked at Arnav who smirked at her. Was this why he brought her to SP bungalow, not minding about Preethi's treat?

"How is our surprise?" Asked Shashi.

"Dad..." she didn't know what exactly Shashi was up to.

"We are going to fix your wedding..." Shashi smiled.

Khushi looked at Ratna and Arvind and smiled at them with overwhelming sensation. She rushed to Shashi and hugged him.

"Thank you, Dad"

"Go, get fresh and come"

Khushi nodded ok and went to her room. She looked at Arnav and threw a sharp gaze at him before leaving. He felt a few butterflies in his stomach as her LOOK meant something to him.

Within a few minutes, Khushi came getting fresh. Arnav was mesmerized seeing her wearing a saree. She came and took Ratna and Arvind's blessings. Then she sat next to Shashi.

"Khushi, they are doubting that you are completely fine with this wedding," Shashi said making a serious face.

Khushi looked at Ratna and Arvind who spared a glance.Didn't she know Arvind and Ratna's stand on Arnav's wedding? Khushi understood Shashi was pulling her leg.

"Is it, Aunty?" She intentionally asked.

Ratna nodded no hurriedly who didn't expect it. Khushi looked at Shashi who rolled his eyes.

"Dad, they knew how much I love Arnav"

"What about Arnav? Does he love you?"

"You have no idea how he brought me here"

"Means?"

"My friends are going for a treat. They invited me too. He strictly said no to the treat and brought me here without telling me why. I think he did that to implement your surprise plan. Am I right?"

Shashi nodded yes smilingly.

"Then how could you doubt his interest? He would not have brought me here if he had no interest in this wedding"

"And, I understood one more thing too..." Shashi said.

"What?"

"You are more interested than I thought"

"How?"

"Because you came with him, skipping your friend's treat... that too, without knowing why. That shows how much you respect Arnav."

Khushi looked at Arnav who was smiling at her.

"Am I right, Arnav?"

"You are right, uncle. She loves me more than anyone could imagine" Arnav said gazing at Khushi.

"To surprise me, did you hide your parent's visit from me...?" Khushi asked.

"Uncle wanted to surprise you. So, I hid it from you"

"Mmm... I liked your surprise" She said excitedly.

"In ten days, your wedding..."

Khushi grinned at Arnav who ran his fingers in his hair smiling.

"Actually, I have to deal with the CM's visit. So, I can fix your wedding only after his visit because we need at least five to six days to make arrangements. I hope you guys have no problem waiting for ten days. What say?" Shashi teased.

"Dad..." She leaned on his shoulder.

Shashi circled her shoulders laughingly. Raizadas liked the bonding of the father and daughter.

Arnav could not believe his wedding was fixed with Khushi. That too, in ten days. He was on cloud nine.

"You can start preparations, Arvindji..."

"Ok, sir. My wife will do it"

"Yes, sir, you can do your work without bothering about the wedding. I will do it" Ratna said confidently.

"That's nice to hear."

He looked at Khushi and said,

"See, how confident your mother-in-law is. This is how you too should be. Learn it from her."

Khushi nodded smilingly.

"You and Arnav should help her. She can't do it alone"

"Sure, Dad..." she looked at Arnav who nodded ok.

"Go, show your room to your mother-in-law and, Arnav also needs to get fresh. It will take time for them to go home. Take him too..."

Khushi stood up.

"Let's go, Aunty"

Ratna nodded.

"Come on, Arnav"

They went with Khushi.

Arnav went to the washroom to wash his face whereas Ratna looked at Khushi's room and its surroundings. She saw a guard sitting in the backyard. There were spiral steps that had been attached to her room's balcony. A small lane ran, touching the back wall of the bungalow.

"Your room has a pleasant view..."

"Not more than your house, Aunty"

"OUR house..." Ratna said smilingly.

In no time, Khushi hugged her.

"I'm so happy, aunty"

Pulling her from the hug, she said,

"You have no idea what our state of mind is... we are flying, you know. Thank you for everything" She kissed her forehead.

Arnav who came out of the washroom, stood looking at them.

"May I use your washroom?" Ratna asked.

"Sure, Aunty. Is it necessary to ask?"

She went to the washroom smilingly. Khushi waited until she locked the door. She moved to Arnav swiftly and hugged him tightly, making him stunned.

"Did you want to surprise me?" she spoke in his ear.

He blinked his eyes.

"Our wedding is fixed in ten days..."

He smiled brightly.

"I'm going to be your wife"

She looked at him breaking the hug and showed her cheek to him, asking him to kiss her. Clutching her cheek, Arnav turned her face towards him and pecked her lips, surprising her. She looked at him lifting her brows.

"You have no idea what I'm going through now, Khushi... I was like a stone not showing any of my emotions. (he gulped) you are making me so emotional" he hugged her, closing his eyes.

Khushi reciprocated his hug, looking at the washroom door. She was tensed as Ratna was in the washroom. She had never seen Arnav emotional like that. She felt helpless as she had no time to console him.

As she expected, she heard the washroom door lock opening sound. Khushi pushed Arnav and stepped back. She stood leaning on the wall casually as if they were talking randomly.

"I didn't expect I would get such a damn surprise..." she laughed.

Arnav stood looking at her. He needed a minute to compose himself.

"Shall we go, Aunty?" Khushi asked.

Ratna nodded ok. They walked following her. when Ratna got down the stairs, Khushi pecked Arnav's cheek strongly and rushed down. Arnav stood for a few seconds, touching his cheek, and came downstairs.

All of them had dinner together while discussing the wedding arrangements. Shashi and Khushi were stunned when Ratna spoke about how she was going to organize it. It seemed she had already planned everything. Of course, their dream was going to come true.

Shashi felt relieved as he believed Ratna would make the wedding grand and special with her arrangements.

Raizadas took their leave. Before leaving, Arnav nodded his head slightly, looking at Khushi. She smiled.

Khushi hugged Shashi delightedly.

"I love you so much, Dad"

"I think, not more than you love Arnav"

"Dad...don't compare yourself with Arnav...you both are different"

"You are so smart..." he laughed.

Khushi smiled.

"Go and take a rest. I have to go to the office"

Khushi nodded ok. She knew Shashi came home leaving his work behind to meet Raizadas. He should have to finish them. She knew he would not come home that night.

Shashi went to the office. He came to his cabin and started doing the pending work. That was when he got a call. He attended it.

"Is this Mr. Shashi Gupta?"

Shashi frowned. Usually, people would ask for the SP, not Shashi Gupta. As he was silent,

"Is this Khushi's father?" The woman's voice asked.

"Yes, who is speaking?"

"I heard you are going to get her married to Arnav..."

"So?"

"Don't you love your daughter?"

"Whaaat? What rubbish?"

"Then what? You are pushing her into a demolished well in the name of marriage"

"What are you talking about?"

"Do you know who the Groom is?"

Shashi was silent. His heart started beating fast restlessly.

"He is the HERO of the hot topic of Ooty"

"What do you mean?"

"I mean, he is the werewolf who killed the man in the reserve forest"

Shashi was shocked to the core.

"What the hell are you talking about?" he gulped his fear.

"Yes, he is the one. He himself told me when I proposed to him"

"You proposed to him?"

"Yes..."

"He should have told you that to avoid you as he is in love with Khushi"

"It didn't happen recently. I proposed to him two years ago when we studied UG"

"If he avoided you, why didn't he do that to Khushi?"

"It's because your daughter doesn't care about him being a werewolf."

"Does Khushi know about it?"

"Yes... I came to your house yesterday and met your daughter. I directly told her about it. She didn't take it seriously. She became blind to her love. She didn't realize the seriousness of the problem. That's why I called you"

"I can't believe Arnav is a werewolf"

"I too didn't believe it when he told me. Yet, I didn't take a risk because my life is precious. Just make sure about the truth. It won't harm if you get cleared, I suppose. Save your daughter from the werewolf" She disconnected the call.

Shashi stood horrified. Was there a chance for Arnav to be a werewolf? What was he going to do now? He felt dizzy.
