First of all, before starting this chapter, I wanted to thank everyone who's been reading, commenting and voting, it really means a lot :) Also today, 24/7/16, my story becomes one month old ;)

Chapter 6

"6 done, 4 more to come. So what are your thoughts up until now?"

"Well, it's still a long journey James," he scratched his beard "The only thing I'm sure about now is that they all know more than they're letting on"

"The next one is important, though, Jackson, the boyfriend and the usual prime suspect," said James lpplong throuh his notes.

"Yes certainly... especially since she's got no living relatives and she recently sold an expensive house!"

Minutes later, Jackson entered the room looking traumatized, he grabbed a seat and automatically tears started streaming down his face.

"Oh God, its starting to feel real" he looked down as his voice started breaking.

"We're really sorry for your loss." detective Ethan said.

"It's just did not feel real until I came here. I guess I've been in denial the whole day. Now that I'm being interrogated, I just realized that it actually did happen and all I can feel right now is regret." He closed his eyes for a moment "I regret every moment I could have spent with her, but didn't and now I can't."

"My apologies again, but now you need to tell us exactly what you know, im order to help us figure out who did this."

"We usually used to get together as a group every once in a while, so at first it seemed like a typical party. I wasn't really up to it, I guess I just had a bad feeling about it, so I just sat alone drinking most of the night." He threaded his fingers through his hair pushing it backwards "At some point Eve came to me and started bragging about her new ad and how she's famous now. Then Sierra interrupted by calling us all to gather saying she had something to say before dinner which was a relief for me, because I couldn't stand this conversation with eve." He let out a long breath. " I guess you know the rest by now detectives, a few moments later, the lights went off. I went outside with Andrew to help him fix the light cause I'm an electic engineer. We found the fuse box destroyed with an ax with all the switches faving down, so we flipped them and the lights were back. As soon as we turned the lights back on, we heard screams from inside, so we hurried back in there only to find Sierra's bleeding soulless body."

Jackson pulled a tissue out of the tissue box on detective Ethan's desk and started wiping off his tears then he continued saying "I'm sorry I just can't hold it in anymore. Everytime I think of her, I keep picturing her dead which stained all my memories of her"

"We understand... We also heard that the two of you were having some troubles recently." said detective James

"All couples fight sometimes, but that doesn't mean I killed her. I would never do such a thing, I love her!"

"May I ask about the cause of these fights and problems you were having?" detective Ethan asked.

"We had a pregnancy scare and we both reacted in different ways, concerning our future I mean."

"So while sitting alone drinking, have you noticed anything unusual at the party?" James asked

"First of all, Andrew was totally weird the whole night, he almost never left Sierra's side and he was even late; who's late to their own party at their house?! It was also strange to see officer Liam, whom I've never heard Sierra mention before. Definitely Eve being there was a big surprise for me, especially when she came to talk to me because we never really talked... but I think she just didn't want to look lonely."

"So do you have any suspects in mind?"

"I definitely think it was Eve, she has always been jealous of Sierra, I think that's why she showed up in the first place." He paused "One time, back when she and Andrew were still dating, she was Sierra's secret Santa at Christmas and she gave her a really fancy hair cream. However, after a while of using it, Sierra realized that Eve had injected it with a chemical that messed up Sierra's hair and it hasn't even grown since then."

Detective James kept taking notes as Jackson continued talking "I don't know why I don't trust the maid. An hour ago or so, I was sitting outside with Lily when Nina approached asking us who we think did it and what would happen to them." He was silent for a moment "I'm trying to believe that she's just a terrified kid, but if I'm being truly honest, she seemed quite suspicious and I really feel like she's hiding something."

"Thank you for your cooperation." Detective Ethan said and soon Jackson left the room.

Lily came in next, she took a seat and from a closer look, the detectives noticed that she had a bandage on her head.

"We hope you're feeling better?"

"Physically I am, Thank you. It's just a small scratch. Mentally though, I certainly not okay, who would be after what happened?!"

"Tell us what happened at the party" detective James said

"I wasn't gonna come to the party actually cause my boyfriend Ed and I just had a huge fight yesterday morning, but Miranda played the psychologist card on me and said I should go and change my mood." She balled her hands into fists amd sighed "Soon after I arrived he called me and broke up with me for no specific reason. I was really mad and heartbroken, so I accidentally dropped my wine and, as you can see, my baby blue dress definitely stained." She pointed towards her stains Thus I went to the kitchen trying to save dress, but obviously I didn't do a good job. Afterwards I had a chat with Nina about the breakup, so basically I just missed out most of the party and on my way out I saw Ricky going into the kitchen."

She folded her hands in her lap "Anyways, I went back to the party and talked a little with Miranda, but I was planning to leave and when I went to tell Sierra, she told me to wait cause she wanted to say something important. We all gathered, she spoke a little then the lights went off. Andrew called for Nina to get us some candles ehile he went outside with Jackson to fix the lights." She shook her head "When the lights were out, we heard the sound of something falling on the ground, but we never imagined it would be Sierra's body."

She looked down devestated "So when the lights were back and I saw her dead on the floor, I couldn't take it, and apparently I fainted and hit my head at the tip of the coffee table."

"I just find it a little odd that you fainted at the sight of blood even though you worked as a nurse before." detective James added

"I volunteered as a nurse for a month at our local hospital, I learned how to measure blood pressure and temperature, how to carry a tray full of food and water to the patients' rooms and how to run fast enough to call the doctor when something serious happened, that's it."

"And who do you think did it?" asked detective Ethan

Lily started getting more nervous, her hands were shaking a little. She tried to calm herself down by taking a couple of deep breaths and closing her eyes for a moment then she said:

"it's just really hard pointing the finger at one of your friends, but Sierra was my friend too which forces me to say something that might put someone else I care about in trouble."

She paused "I saw Kiera arguing with Sierra at the party. I was on my phone with Ed when I saw them from a distance and from the looks of it, they were fighting but of course I couldn't hear anything from where I was" She facepalmed "When I saw what happened to Keira later, the way she broke down, it made me think that maybe she kill Sierra and her guilt was eating her. But I truly don't understand what could be the motive"

In a couple of minutes, Lily went out of the room and Ricky went it. On his way to the seat, he sat and said "I didn't do it"

"Well, that's exactly what the murderer would also say, wouldn't he" said Ethan sternly then he continued saying

"An eyewitness saw you outside at the garden a few minutes before the lights went off."

"That's true I went outside to smoke because some of my friends hate the smell of it and wouldn't allow me to smoke inside." He was silence observing the reactions of the detectives "I swear I was back at the house before the lights went off."

"Is there any proof that telling the truth? An eyewitness maybe?" asked James

"You can ask the maid, she saw me entering the house through the back door, cause I wanted to wash off the nicotine smell before going back to the party. When I went back Sierra was talking then the lights went off and you know the rest."

"Did anything suspicious capture your attention at the party?" detective Ethan asked

"Well, the officer and the model were definitely a surprise." He scratched his chin "The thing is... Sierra herself was acting a bit suspicious. I was also kind of startled by Wesley's sudden interest in history, he kept asking me a lot of questions about that dagger. So for me it wouldn't be a total shock if he did it, especially knowing that he wasn't a huge fan of Sierra."

"So he's your number one suspect?" asked detected James

"I really don't know! yesterday I was just attending a regular party with my friends and now one of us is deas and another is a freaking murderer" He exhaled "You must understand detective that the whole situation is really difficult."

"We understand how hard the situation is, but it's also our job to know who did this to your friend even if it's another friend of yours." detective Ethan said

"I guess my other suspect would then be Lily, she's dating Sierra's ex-boyfriend from college and she's always been a little jealous of her ever since they were college roommates." He shrugged :My point is that they know the most about each other and maybe that sounds like a good thing, but it's not... Not everyone likes having someone around who knows too much about them!"

After inyerrogation, Ricky left the room then he grabbed his phone from his pocket and started texting

"We need to talk! This is urgent! Someone saw me outside before the lights went off. I think we need to tell the police"

From his contacts list, hd chose the number that belongs to Nina then hit send.

Finally, the last suspect to be interviews was Eve. She looked shaky as she entered the room and grabbed a seat then she turned towards the two detectives and started talking really fast that they almost couldn't understand a word

"You know I'm a model, and I'm still at the beginning of my career, so if this gets out I'm destroyed. So please I don't want my name stained with this hideous crime"

"We're not here to ruin your reputation miss, we're here to find out who killed Sierra." detective James said calmly.

"I shouldn't have even come to the party"

"So why did you? No offense, but everybody was already surprised to see you there" James asked

"None taken, actually someone sent me an invitation so I thought it might be a good opportunity to get back together with Andrew. It would have been the perfect solutiom to debunk the rumors about me sleeping with my director to get cast... I was cast cause I'm pretty and talented."

She said arrogantly as she threaded a hans through her hair "Anyway I only saw Andrew at the party for like a couple of minutes, so it was just a waste of time"

"We also heard that you never really got a long with Sierra, you even gave her that hair cream that ruined her hair."

"Yes, I didn't like her at all and sometimes I even hated her" she paused "It's true thay I gave her the cream, but in my defense it wasn't supposed to have a long lasting effect. I kust wanted to send a message and, in the end, she was still able to convince Andrew to break up with me"

She rolled her shoulders "So I do have the right to hate her... Do.you think I'd say this if I really killed her?" She raised an eyebrow "Maybe her boyfriend did it when he finally realized that she was seeing Andrew on the side."

"Andrew specifically said they were just friends," said Ethan

"Yeah sure" she laughed

"So did you hear or see anything at the party that might lead us to the murder?" James asked

"Since I was alone fpr most of the party, I had a lot pf time to observe, that's when I saw Sierra secretly throw a piece of paper in a basket and when I looked at it, it was a train ticket from Veronaville to Sunset that morning"

She rubbed her hands on her thighs "The weird thing happened when Sierra caught me, she looked really intense then she grabbed a lighter from her pocket and burnt the ticket. Her reaction really puzzled me so I went to talk to Jackson to see if he knew about Sierra being at Veronaville, but I was distracted at the sight of Ricky sneaking outside the kitchen eavesdropping on Lily and Nina's conversation, creepy much." She said sarcasricallu "Andrew know the weirdest people I swear, I mean insane best friend definitely knows something too, I even bet she's faking the whole meltdown."

"Thank you for your cooperation, but who do you think did it?" Ethan asked

"Maybe they all did it together, she was quite unlikable."

Eve went outside leaving the two detectives confused as ever.

"Well, that's it for the primary interrogations, go get some rest James cause tomorrow we'll check the crime scene again and we need to talk to the forensics."

James left the station, and on his way, he checked his phone only to find 3 missed calls from Maria and a text

"We need to talk, r u up for drinks (it doesn't have to be alcohol, whatever you want) ? my treat :)"

"Sure" he hit send
