"It was after a job, we where on the way back and were sat around the fire cooking dinner. Happy had drifted off to sleep. Me and lucy were sat there listening to the forest when happy mumbled 'he looooovvvves you'. I felt my cheeks redden and lucy noticed then gave me a inquisital look. 'What h-happy said is k-k-kinda t-true' i stumbled the last words out. She reddend and i grinned, cocked my head and raised an eyebrow, noticing how happy was smiling. I made a note to batter him later. 'I kinda love you too natsu', my jaw dropped at that point. I didn't know how to proceed let alone carry on the conversation. We sat there in silence for what seemed like hours. Eventually we both fell asleep. Me first as when i woke up she was using me as a pillow. It was on the way back that i asked her out to which she responded with a yes."

"Ahh so thats why you were so giddy when you got back." Grey commented.
"So is that why you were so sheepish around each other at the guild after that?" Inquired Mira.
"Yes it was, now can i continue please?"
"Get on with it, you still haven't gotten to the explanation as to why you tried to kill yourself." Replied Makarov.

"Not much happened up until the grand magic games. We'd been together for 2 years at that point excluding the time on tenrou. Me and Lucy where closer than ever and so i was talking to Happy at how i was gonna pop the question."

"Wait you dont mean you were gonna, you know, propose." Asked Wendy.
"That i was wendy." Replied Natsu. "Right after we won the games, in front of everyone, but fate was a cruel mistress and then the dragons attacked. When he killed her we where engaged howev-"

"Wait so when did you ask the question?" Asked Erza.
"Right after we released her when your backs were turned."
"Explain cause we didn't take her eyes off her" Erza stated.
