Out Of My Sight

"What about Clara?" I asked as I followed the Doctor around the console. "Aren't we bringing her?"

"One adventure wouldn't hurt." The Doctor replied.

"Who's Clara?" Ash asked.

"A friend of mine." The TARDIS landed with a thump. "Well go on then. Step outside." Gale and Ash looked at each other then approached the door. Ash opened it and walked outside. Even I didn't know where we were but by their expressions it sounded amazing. I walked outside to join them and giggled with amazement. It was like I was in the movie. "Welcome to the Titanic!" The Doctor shouted as he came towards us.

As always the Doctor dragged us back into the TARDIS to find suitable clothes for the time. I took Ash to the wardrobe after Gale had picked out a suit. Ash was surprised at the amount of different clothes there were. We picked out similar dresses. Ash's was a long red dress with different patterns and lace. Mine was basically the same but in dark blue. I did my hair in the usual curls like I always did when we went to the past but Ash kept hers wavy. We almost looked like sisters.

We were finally able to explore the Titanic like the whole idea was in the first place. The Doctor got us into all the first class places. Even though we didn't have tickets his psychic paper came in handy. We went to the first class restaurant where we just sat and talked without ordering anything for a while. Ash and Gale were still amazed by how the TARDIS took us to the Titanic, and were amazed by the Titanic of course. I noticed Ash getting distracted by something and not talking for a while. It looked like she was daydreaming and kept looking down at the table and giggling silently from time to time. I looked the way she was looking and saw a handsome young man staring back at her. He looked away when I started looking. "Someone catching your eye Ash?" I asked teasingly.
"Shut up." She laughed.

The man started walking over to us once the people at his table, who I assumed were his parents, stood up and started to leave. "Good evening." He said making Ash look up at him. "I was wondering if this young lady was busy at all. Is she?"

"No she isn't." Ash answered before I could say anything to stop her. "May I?"

"Go ahead." The Doctor said smiling. Ash jumped up and left with the man. I stepped on the Doctor's foot under the table making him yell in pain. "Ow. What did I do?"

"We can't let her out of our sight."

"Stop being paranoid. As long as we have her back in..." He checked his watch. "One hour." We had one hour until the Titanic hit the iceburg. Brilliant. Gale started looking awkward and bored so I finally gave in. After I told the Doctor that we couldn't let Ash out of sight Gale's expression changed like he was about to ask the same question as his sister. "Fine. Gale, if you want to go just go. Enjoy yourself. If you see Ash tell her to meet by the TARDIS in one hour."

"Thanks and I will." Gale said and shot out of the room leaving me and the Doctor alone together.

The Doctor and I walked around the ship for ages. I wrapped my arm around his and leaned my head on his shoulder as we looked out at the sea. The Doctor was still wearing his usual purple coat and his new attire. It was the first time he hadn't dressed for the time we were in. "Today was nice. We finally had a family outing." I said making the Doctor laugh slightly.

"Not all of us." The Doctor said ruining the mood.

"Doctor, what's the time?" The Doctor looked at his watch and his eyes widened.

"Hold onto something." I grabbed the side of the boat just as it hit the iceburg. I nearly fell onto the Doctor as he toppled to the floor next to me. I helped him up and frantically looked around for the kids. "We need to get to the TARDIS." The Doctor said before pulling me along to the TARDIS. The box was in plain sight on the top deck of the ship so it would be easy for the kids to find if they got lost in the ship. When we got in Gale was already leaning against the console waiting for us. "I found Ash and told her so she should be here soon." He said. I quickly hugged him with relief. Surprised and a little confused, Gale hugged me back.

We spent an hour worrying about Ash. Gale had stood outside the TARDIS and watched the lifeboats in case she had been piled onto one. I got frustrated and started searching the unsunken bits of the ship in search for Ash. I called her name but so were loads of others so hers couldn't be heard. Oh yeah, one more detail. I left without telling the Doctor so he would have to wait for me as well. I kept seeing who I thought was Ash calling for help but with everyone running and causing chaos I couldn't tell.

This was hopeless.
